An SD institution in every sense. My family's been eating here regularly for 4 generations starting w/ my grandparents, then on to my mom and uncles, followed by my brother and I, and now through to my teenage son. THE single best Italian place I've ever found. And that's after extended stays in 22 diffrent states. Amazing food, wonderful atmosphere, fantastic service, and fair prices. Hundreds of visits over +30 years and not even ONE bad experience. If that isn't 5 stars then what is?

This is my first time here. A friend suggested this place for good pizza. This pizzeria stood for 60 years, and it's one of the famous pizzeria in Chula Vista. At first, I thought of dining outside, but I wanted to experience this wonderful place. Once we're seated, the service was not there. We waited a few more minutes to no avail. We decided to order out and have outside dining experience. At the front desk, we ordered Italian Meat Lover pizza. They said it will 15mins to cook. So we time it. After 15 minutes, I went inside, and the pizza was waiting. Let tell you what, the pizza was amazingly delicious. Big chunk of meat, perfectly seasoned pizza sauce, and the dough was nice crisp at the bottom and soft in the inside. I would rank this place on top of my list. Later, I found out that there was only one server working in the dining area that i saw. And the dining area was half full. I would recommend this place. Parking is limited. It has handicap accommodation. Family friendly. And front desk staff are friendly. 5 star on my book. Good eats.

YES! Home environment good pizza good down to earth service! This place is big too! You get dining area with table service or a small pick up with a counter to grab a quick bite as well as at the other end a bar with TVs....followed by a whole arcade game area! Alchohol available at all of these by the way. The pizza stuffed and cheesy very quick and delicious ! Loved it will be back

It was freezing upstairs. The food was very good. Our server did his best to help 20 customers on his own. Very old world pizza. Got the 8" works and "8 inch papa special. Both were yummy. The antipasta salad could have been more flavorful but it was okay. Overall good food and pleasant effort.

We have purchased so many pizzas from this place. We moved and were excited to get our fav pizza again recently. I don’t know what kind of pizza fraud is happening here but there is no need to harass someone picking up $100+ worth of pizza by requiring a photo id and card of the person who ordered. (They had the confirmation receipt and knew all the info when interrogated.) Add in attitude by the staff and owner? and we have purchased our last pie from you. Perhaps you should hire a pizza investigator to make sure that whoever ordered has knowledge of who is picking up and…it is not that serious. PS your staff seem miserable.

What can I say about La Bella Pizza that people don't already know. La Bella's has been a staple for families for decades. I do not think this is the best pizza in town but this pizza definitely will bring back childhood memories. The cafe side is fun as well if you have little ones. I would love to give this location a perfect score however it is located in downtown Chula Vista and parking can be a pain in the butt

Well it was nice to be back. The place was clean and remodeled. It looked brighter. The pizza was not like before that's all I can say. It was lacking flavor same for the pasta and salad. Yes even the salad, it had mostly oil not dressing or vinegar. The Italian ice cream is delicious though. A family of 4 can eat here for $50 plus a tip. Arcade is open. Pool tables are open too. Overall had a nice time even though food wasn't great. A little disappointed in the pizza, it was also a little undercooked (baked) and missing salt or something....update I went back and tried the kicking bbq wings, soooo good spicy hot and delicious. The kids wanted to play in the arcade again we also tried the ice cream yum.

La Bella is a Chula Vista institution. Their arcade and pool hall are awesome for families with kids. It’s definitely a really fun hang out spot on family or game nights. The food is pretty good for the most part. The pizzas, jalapeño poppers, and salads are all really great choices. I’d generally avoid their spaghetti options — the tomato and marinara sauces they use on them are rather bland. The bar is great! A lot of choices and good draft beers with a fun staff. Come on down to La Bella for great pizza and beer, plus a game or two of pool!

Come for the atmosphere not their pizza. Costumer service is great. Service above and beyond. To owner: the work pizza. Going pepperoni then cheese just not my style. Other than that your staff was very friendly and very profetional. Your restaurant was very clean and great location

My kids and I had a great time. Most of the staff is really nice and helpful. The girl with the super curly hair and baby hairs was very nice. The bald guy with the glasses was super sweet and returned my sons phone Negative side half of the staff ignores you even if you are standing at the register right in front of them. A quick just a moment to acknowledgement that someone will be right with me and I would’ve been good. What really ticked me off was when my kids and I were cashing out the tickets. A woman helping me stopped mid transaction to go help the good looking guy who was already being helped by the sweet girl with bunny ears. Mind you bunny ears didn’t ask for help. I got help from someone else but when the girl that was helping me smiled at me I was like not cool. Luckily the gentleman helping my kids gave extra lollipops to my kids which kinda calmed me down. But this happens a lot when I come. Yall have some really nice people and the manager was nice. I’m sure you don’t remember me but I had an old school street fighter shirt on 😉

This place was fine, like one of those historic small businesses that locals swear by but yeah sure. Walking in the front, you are greeted by a stark long white counter. If you are to dine in, you are taken down a narrow passage to the dining area in the back. It has very dated decor that I assume gives comfort to older patrons who have been coming for years. The food was okay. The local I was with said the Mexican pizza was their best pie. It was okay. Service was the highlight.

Trying to get our food delivered through door dash waited for 2hrs and it never came. Called the restaurant for a follow up but was rude. Yeah maybe great pizza but service sucks!

I havent been in close to 30 years. I moved out of cali a while back. I would go there for the big egg salad torpedos. Anyhow, i plan on visiting family in chula vista soon. Id like to visit labellas and i went through the menu online. No egg salad torpedos noted on the menu. Have they been discontinued??? Or did i overlook?? I so hope not.

The manager was super rude!! They trying to kick us out even before 9pm when the closing time said 10:30pm the staff would ignore us when we where trying to buy a pitcher or any food since 7pm. When we finally got the attention of the girl working the register she said it was the bar was already going to close and it was barely 9 pm. The manager keep telling us its time to leave at around 9:30 and a little while after started banging his hand on the counter telling us to leave, it was so unprofessional. Honestly if i could i would give 0 stars never going there again.

Dear La Bella Pizza manger: I'm writing to express my disappointment with the Mexican pizza I purchased today. Unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The pizza lacked flavor and was missing essential ingredients, including beans and onions. Specifically, I requested half jalapenos, but it seemed like most of the toppings were omitted. I've enjoyed your Mexican pizza in the past, which is why I was surprised by the poor quality of today's pie.
