Absolutely delicious dinner! Our server, Biro, provided excellent service and was super friendly. We ordered the appetizer for 2, chicken kebab, beef tenderloin kebabs, Mediterranean salad, and baklava with ice cream. Everything was cooked fresh, seasoned perfectly, and tasted amazing.
The food here is so good! I highly recommend the appetizer plate, so many delicious new things to try, I especially loved the spicy ezme and the lebneh! The Turkish coffee was lovely and my chicken kebab was flavorful and juicy. The service is always impeccable, probably the best service of any restaurant I’ve been to in awhile.
This is amazing. The food was amazing, & the atmosphere is top notch. Bilal is a great waiter and provided the best service. Will definitely be coming back
Took my son here first time for his bday! Food was beyond amazing! Very 😋tasty, cooked with perfection! Nice decor! Great service ! Highly recommend!
Lovely people, they have efes and very good greek & turkish food! Dont usually say this about things, but the moussaka was packed with yummy vegetables and was a hearty meal.
Absolutely fantastic! We are big fans of middle eastern food and this was just wonderful. We got the mixed cold appetizer for 2 and the shared meats plate. All of the appetizers were delicious, and the meats were cooked just right and packed with flavor. The presentation was lovely and made it feel very special. Our server, Asim, explained our dishes and was very timely, while also checking in just enough but not too much that it felt like hovering. Will DEFINITELY be back.
Arrived there by myself, was able to get immediately seated. Staff was great and helpful, the Atmosphere was great,The bread was amazing, the Turkish Coffee, was good and aesthetically appealing, the entree sampler was good, the Manti and Baklava were great. Overall a great experience, will come again.
Excellent food & ambience. Excellent service. Very comfortable dining seats. If you're looking for a quaint, cozy environment with Turkish/Mediterranean cuisine & contemporary jazz; then this is for you. Casual, respectable dress.
I came here because I wanted to try the Turkish Coffee, which also meant I had to try the Baklava. I really enjoyed the intense coffee flavor pack into such a small cup. The baklava was warm and so good with the coffee. It was moist with honey, not as dry as other baklava I have tried in the area. The atmosphere was charming as described in other reviews; a great place for a date. The service was outstanding! The staff was very attentive, the manager and 2 others stopped by to check if I needed anything. I will be back for a main entre soon.
The best Turkish restaurant around Cincinnati. Food is very authentic and high quality. The staff is polite, friendly and welcoming. The ambiance is quite chic with classic music in the background. I ordered the Lahmacun and the Sultan’s favourite plate and both orders were mouth watering delicious. Well done Truva team! For sure I will come back.
The food was delicious but most importantly such kind people working in the shop. I left my purse at the table and our server Birol literally ran my bag to our car as we drove off. So kind-
We got the mixed grill, Turkish pepperoni flatbread, & lahmacun as our main course, 10/10; the mixed grill offers a lot of variety. The babaganoush was really good too. Desserts are always the bomb! Overall a beautiful restaurant with amazing food:)
Hassan explained everything thoroughly as this was our first time here . The entrees to the cocktail to the chocolate pistachio baklava was absolutely amazing ! He even rolled out pizza for us !! We will definitely come back!
One of the best experiences I have had in a while. Our server was amazing and went out of his way to make us feel special. The menu is diverse but not overwhelming. Wine was fantastic. The hummus appetizer was served with warm pita bread. I had the seafood pasta and it was amazing. The restaurant is beautiful, don't let the location fool you.
Amazing Turkish food—some of the best I’ve ever had! Appetizer sampler, lentil soup, salads, chicken kabobs, swordfish, pasta, rice pudding—all *chef’s kiss* AMAZING! Our sweet server Birol was the best! Highly recommend! Ohh—-turkish coffee too!
We were there for a birthday celebration, and it was just a wonderful experience. Service was outstanding, and the Food was fantastic. Julia, the owner, was very welcoming. As a starter, they served freshly baked bread with olive oil and spices to dip in. Then we got the delicious sampler appetizer. I love the grape leaves. The portions of the food were delicious and enough to share. I recommend this place for a unique experience and good food.
We came here with a large group of friends and we were seated very quickly even though they were quite busy. I don’t even know where to start but this has been one of the greatest Turkish cuisines that I have had in the 23 years that I have been eating Turkish food. The food is FANTASTIC, genuine authentic Turkish food. The taste is still lingering on the tip of my tongue as I’m writing this. Cooked perfectly, and served hot. Can’t say enough, the service was also top notch. Really hard to find great food and service together and this place is one of the gems.
We love this Kenwood, Cincinnati location.. great service and food. Hasan was lovely and made our family lunch enjoyable.
Went for a restaurant week. Every course was delicious! Even the walnut baklava! Also great for vegetarians. We will definitely be back.
The food was excellent. Our server was so attentive and made the experience great.
Second time here and we were just as impressed as the first. We came here for the Sultan's Favorite. We love it and it is very hard to find. We started with the appetizer sampler for two. Everything on it was seasoned perfectly. The bread is a highlight too! This is a must try if you haven't visited before.
Went on a whim due to the location. I WILL BE BACK!! Over the top, fabulous. The atmosphere was very nice. Romantic, yet cozy and family-friendly. Every single bite of food was truly wonderful. The fresh hot baked bread was the best. I can't wait to go back. This will become a regular spot for this vegetarian. The Turkish coffee is AmAzInG. The staff was 5-star quality. Every one of them was kind and attentive.
Drove from Louisville KY to dine at this wonderful restaurant and enjoy the taste of Turkey. Our waiter, Oğuzhan, was attentive, super friendly, and had great recommendations for us. He remembered me from the first time I came, and I was very happy to see him. Thank you guys for the wonderful meal!
This is probably in my list of top 10 restaurants I've ever been to. It is, without a doubt, the freshest and best hummus I have ever had, as well as the best doner kebab. The service from Birol was top notch - he had great recommendations for both a good wine to match as well as dessert. This place is a gem, and absolutely worth a visit if you like Mediterranean/Turkish food, or want to try something you never have before!
I haven't had Turkish food in a long time and was excited that my husband found Truva turkish kitchen to celebrate my birthday. The food was authentic, delicious and the service was great and efficient. Birol made the celebration even more fun with the best music and the tastiest desserts! Cant wait to come back!
Truva Turkish Kitchen is a masterclass in how tradition and refinement can coexist in perfect harmony. From the moment you enter, you’re met with a serene ambiance that strikes a balance between modern elegance and rich heritage. Every detail creates an atmosphere that invites relaxation and meaningful conversation. The menu is a thoughtfully curated celebration of Turkish cuisine. The lamb kebab was a standout: impeccably seasoned, tender, and expertly grilled. Even the simplest items reflected an extraordinary level of care and authenticity. Equally noteworthy is the service. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, striking that rare chord of professionalism and warmth that elevates the entire dining experience. Our server took the time to explain the provenance of each dish and offered well-paired recommendations. Truva isn’t merely a place to eat—it’s a journey through culture and craftsmanship. Whether you’re a connoisseur of Middle Eastern cuisine or simply seeking an exceptional dining experience, Truva will leave a lasting impression. Highly recommended
One of the best authentic turkish restaurants I have ever had in the region. Everything was really freshly made. Mezze platter was amazing. Kebab and meats were tender and well cook.
Wow! This place was such a pleasant surprise! We made reservations for 8 for Mother’s Day. They could easily accommodate our large party and had plenty of room for more. They were ready for us when we arrived and were so kind, even though they were extremely busy. The atmosphere was nice but a little loud because of how busy they were. The wait staff did a great job. They serve brunch from 11-2 but lunch/dinner menu is available all day. So many yummy options. It was really hard to choose. We ordered the avocado omelette, fruit crepe, chocolate crepe, spinach pie, meat pie, doner kabob, cheese pastry, olive pastry and pancakes. Everything came out hot, perfectly cooked and flavorful. No complaints, even from the picky eaters. They also provide delicious bread baskets with an olive oil/sundried tomato dipping plate. We also ordered a ton of baklava. So yum.
The food was delicious and Hasan was a great waiter.
First visit and we had a wonderful time. I think we spoke with 4 different staff members and each one super friendly. We sat at the bar for dinner, and the bar tender, Alp, recommended a Turkish white wine that was amazing. We enjoyed watching the TV with landscape pics and videos of Turkey 🇹🇷. The service was top-notch, and the food was just as great. We will be back during the week to try more menu items. I had the grilled shrimp, and my wife had grape leaf rolled salmon.
Food was incredible in the lovely atmosphere with a fun experience, thanks to our waiter Birol A.
This is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Cincinnati. I come here frequently, and always have a 10/10 experience with the food and employees. Asim recommended a true Turkish dish, the Shepherd Casserole, and it did not disappoint! Asim is always helpful and friendly and part of what makes the experience truly memorable.
Oh my! My daughter had a day off and she and I love to eat at restaurants that we have not been too in Cincinnati. She said she heard from her FB physicians that Truva is really good to have a date and brunch. It was one of the best Mediterranean food I have in Cincinnati ❤️🙏🏽♥️
Great service, great atmosphere, great food! The Special Baklava is next level amazing. However, my friend ordered the Moussaka and didn't like it. I'm definitely coming back for more.
We had a wonderful dinner! Our server Birol was so friendly and attentive. We had the apps for two, Moussaka and Cokertme kebab and we loved it all! Birol recommended the special baklava and ice cream and it was best baklava I’ve ever had! We had a great time and we’ll definitely be back!
The kebab I ordered was overcooked, but my waiter made sure I had a new plate, with the correct temperature kebab, right away. I love the atmosphere and my server was very attentive. The only knock I have is that Truva is a little pricey. Besides that, everything was great .
Truva Turkish Kitchen is an absolute gem! The food was incredibly delicious — everything tasted fresh, authentic, and full of rich flavors. You can really tell that a lot of care goes into their cooking. On top of that, the hospitality was exceptional. The staff was extremely warm and welcoming, and they even treated us to a few complimentary items, which made the experience feel even more special. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the service was attentive from start to finish. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel taken care of. Whether you’re familiar with Turkish cuisine or trying it for the first time, this restaurant is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be coming back!
My son and I have been going to this location throughout this year, and have experienced excellent customer service! The food is wonderful! We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Mr. Vedat and the entire team. They have gone out of their way to make sure our holiday meals for Thanksgiving and Christmas were even more special. Again, thank you!
The best Turkish food I had in the US so far. It's quite authentic and has great options. This and Trio are probably the best places to go to on this bleak suburban area. It's in a strip mall but worth it. I don't like to drink and drive so can't speak for their drinks but the food was top notch at a fair price point.
A very good Turkish restaurant. One of my coworkers came from Istanbul, Turkey and said the food was fairly authentic. The flavoring was very well balanced and the server was very helpful. Just a tad expensive at about $35/person just for lunch.
I went here with my friends for an Eid dinner. The food was good. I got the platter for two and shared it with a friend. It came with a lot of meat and was more than enough for both of us. I really liked the chicken kebabs. The lamb had a strange aftertaste, which I think is common with lamb, but I would not get it again. The place has a nice vibe. I had the Kunafa for dessert and it was a great. The prices are a little high, but the experience was good!
I'll start with the positives: The menu here is extensive and has plenty of things I'd be excited to order. It can suit anybody, even if you're not super familiar with Turkish cuisine. The baba was pretty excellent and a solid start. Sultan's favorite was a unique dish that caught my eye, and it was also very excellent -- tender lamb and silky smooth eggplant beneath it with tons of good flavors. Chicken thighs were also super tender and had a great grill flavor and portion. For the negatives: service was mediocre, at best. Our server wasn't very attentive, even though it wasn't very busy when we went there. We did a lot of waiting before ordering any drinks or food, and one thing we ordered was forgotten. Also, one of our medium rare steaks was served medium well -- not even close! I do think the positives outweighed the negatives, so I'd still come back to try more of the menu, but I'd hope for much better service next time.
Really good food. Had sampler platter, salad and fried Calamari. The vibe is a little off. Some friendly and some act kinda distance. The platter was turned on its side. Didn't mess it up to bad. Offered a cup of tea while I waited for carry out. Very nice touch. An experience to behold. Try Truva. I think you will like it.
It is certainly authentic Turkish food. I want to say how happy I am to find that here in greater Cinci. The food, music, and even staff take you on a journey. The lunch menu is only M-F so you will pay exclusively dinner prices on the weekend. The staff was attentive, even pulling out a chair. The chicken was moist and flavorful. The rice was nostalgic. The bread was fresh out of the oven and paired with a delicious oil. 2 things left to be desired. I wish that the lunch menu was offered on the weekends. Secondly, the baklava did not have the cracking sound of freshness.
Excited to try a different Mediterranean restaurant for lunch. Will definitely be back, despite some minor disappointments. We enjoyed the atmosphere and found our waiter charming (a little gentle teasing about my lunch choice was not out of line). My friend was happy with her sandwich of gyro meat on crusty bread. The baba ganouj had a nice smokey flavor, but the flatbread (like a thin foccacia) was just okay, neither crispy nor fluffy, maybe slightly stale. My falafel was perfectly crispy, but could have used more salt and spice. Coffee was delightful. Still, despite these negatives, I'd like to try it again.
Had this place in my saved for a while and finally got up to Cincinnati to give it a go. The atmosphere and wait staff were great, Turkish coffee amazing. When we got to the food though, the appetizers and entree had a pre made caterer vibe that wasn't really appealing. The entree came out luke warm and you could tell they seasoned it but it was like heating up leftovers. I'd probably give it another try as we only had one app and entree between us on this quick stop.
I had an extremely mixed experience at Truva today. While the food was quite delicious and flavorful, the service fell far below expectations—especially at this price point (about $79 after tip for two people). Positives: • The appetizer for two was excellent. It was slightly expensive, but the quality was evident, and the fresh bread was a nice touch. Negatives: 1. Timing & Coordination: After finishing the bread, we waited about 10 minutes before my dining companion received their Doner Gyro Sandwich. I was told my Falafel appetizer would arrive “soon,” but it didn’t come until they were nearly done with their meal. This created an awkward dining experience where I spent most of the time hungry while the other person had almost finished eating. Mistakes happen, but the situation could have been handled better—perhaps by offering extra bread, a complimentary drink, or at least checking in. No one came by, and even the used plates from the appetizer and coffee were left uncleared. 2. Misleading Information: We asked if the restaurant had Coke Zero, and the waiter said yes. The soda tasted off, and later we noticed the restaurant serves Pepsi products. This may seem minor, but it’s misleading. A simple clarification would have sufficed. 3. Slow Service at Checkout: After finishing, it took a long time to get the check. No one checked on us until we flagged someone down, and even then, we had to ask twice—once to clear the table and again to bring the bill. Bottom Line: The food was great and restaurant interior was quite beautiful, but the service was extremely poor for a restaurant that costs about $40 per person. I wouldn’t return at this price point given the lack of attentiveness and overall experience.
We’ve been there maybe 6 times. The first time we had one of the best steaks we’ve ever had. The second time was for lunch and service / food were not at the same level as the first time. The third time my dinner partner had ordered a medium steak and it arrived rare. We asked for it to be grilled a little more and it was returned well done having been sliced in half length-wise and thrown on the grill. Not the way to do things at all. The waiter was unwilling to do anything about it. It was late and we opted to go home rather than raise a stink. We didn’t go back for about 6 months and tried again. My partner’s potatoes and my lamb arrived cool, my hot or even warm. We’ve had some good meals but the lack of consistency and the at times inconsiderate waitstaff mean we’re not going back. Hopefully the managers read the reviews and adjust accordingly.
We used to come here and enjoy the food often. But over the years they lost their touch. We ordered a mixed grill for 2 with no veggies but asked for extra bulgur which was 54.99 to go. But when we opened the container the quantity was much less than what they used to give out. They placed veggies inside but no extra bulgur. Also the amount of meat given in a mixed grill was also less compared to whats said on the menu. And one of the lamb pieces was raw, so we could not eat it. It’s really disappointing, they are so focused on the image of their restaurant and how it looks and how much to charge but the food is getting pretty lackluster, dry and mediocre. I used to tell people good things about this restaurant, but i guess I’ll have to take it back.
We planned to celebrate my husband birthday in here but instead we only had a very bad experience. Server seems to be unhappy to serve us to the point that they only serve the people of their own language.. We waited long for a high chair for my son but when they found one they gave it first to their own who just arrived after us.People at the time we were there is very accomodating only to the people of their same race, we feel left out and hanging. The food is great but the whole dining experience is bad.
