Surprisingly fun environment that was catered to new comers. They also called me “baby” which I really cherished. I loved dancing till 1am and drinking while eating shrimp and octopus ceviche. Would love to see this overseas. Definitely coming back.
Great for parties. Relaxed atmosphere. The bathroom could be better. The food is good, and the staff are very attentive.
🍺🍤🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ La Caña, a place with a great party atmosphere, is usually crowded. It's LGBTQ+, diverse, and inclusive. I don't know the official hours, but they closed the door around 2 a.m. The food is delicious; I recommend the tostadas, and the cevichela has become my favorite. They usually have DJs; there's no cover. The only downside I have is the bathrooms. There's always a huge line, and there's often no water... which detracts from the experience if you're drinking beer. I like the decorations :)
Nice place , music , atmosphere. One thing the bathroom you can't locked
Good Music! Good Vibes! Good food! Good drinks!
As always, it's a joy to visit La Caña, the best up-and-coming bar in Mexico City. It's a diverse bar where everyone is treated with respect, and Ali's service is the best. If you want to dance cumbia and discover new sounds, this is the perfect spot. Plus, you'll be delighted by a menu of Veracruz-style food that you won't find anywhere else. The drinks are also great, and you absolutely must try the ceviche. If you love cumbia and dancing, La Caña is the place to be.
Affordable prices, delicious food, and a great atmosphere. The bathroom is clean, but there's no lock... Watch out if they let you in! 🤭 There are no waiters; service is at the bar. You pay upon entry and have to grab a table, but after 10 pm it's not necessary because the atmosphere becomes lively for dancing.
Too young for La Faena Too old for El Tlachiquero Just in the right age for La Caña
Buen ambiente, precios accesibles
A very unique place We loved the attitude of the girls at the bar, who were super friendly. They make you feel special. We were quite skeptical because the location is terrible. We didn't realize until we were almost there that the area is ugly and scary to walk around, but we were already there and weren't going to be discouraged. The decor and atmosphere were crazy and fun. For me, it was like entering a multiverse. It didn't make much sense, but I was dying of laughter seeing the decorations. The prices were very, very affordable for Mexico City. They invited us, and we didn't know they would be doing a DJ show (Papi Pérez). It was more cumbia and sonidero, which I personally don't like, but there was no shortage of laughter and a good atmosphere among the other people who were there. I recommend you prepare for a huge line to go to the bathroom and bring your toilet paper because they're pretty neglected and unclean 🤷🏽♀️ Aside from that, I understood that the shows are always changing; it's a matter of validating which one best suits your tastes so you have a great time. I'm from Veracruz, and they told us the concept was Jarocho, but hahahahaha, I didn't feel connected at all to my state 🤣 Our attitude is what saved the night.
Very small place, with few tables, so it's often overwhelmed by the number of people there. Everything you want to order has to be ordered at the bar, and you have to pay immediately, so you often have to be in the crowd and wait in line every time you want something. Prices are high; a large beer (caguama) is $130, and if you want a glass with sauces or Clamato, it's an extra $25. I ordered coconut shrimp, and they weren't coconut-flavored at all, nor did they taste like coconut. The seasoning was quite bad; seafood isn't the specialty of this place. The guacamole and fries were fine. For a bar, the sound system is pretty bad, especially when the live show starts. The restrooms don't have locks on the doors or toilet seats. Overall, the service is good, except for one grumpy woman behind the bar. Overall, it's overrated.
The service was sooooo slow The food was okay
The only good thing about it is the location, being in a neighborhood with so much history. Aside from that, it's regrettable that all the barmaids were so unfriendly and unfriendly, and their tone was quite hostile. It was like visiting a prison. On the other hand, the music was very distant and no one bothered to ask if we were comfortable. The shrimp broth was decent, as was the service from the woman in the kitchen. I don't recommend it.
I was drawn in by the great reviews of the place, which is why I went to check it out. But I was treated terribly by the bartender when I tried to order. She treated me worse than a prisoner, practically throwing my beer at me and ordering me around like I was a guard. The music was awful, even though they advertise good music. I think it only comes out when the DJ is on, because during the day you couldn't hear it, and they only had a tiny speaker. I'd give the food a 10 because the ladies in the kitchen are fantastic, but the bartenders seemed resentful. And the concept is nothing new; I've seen it before. They lack heart in their customer service.
Great atmosphere, delicious food, the shrimp taco with plantain was amazing, the guacamole and olives were equally delicious, the prices are reasonable and I think it's excellent value for money, the live music events are always very good, it's a great place for a party and a relaxed Saturday. But unfortunately, what caused them to lose 4 stars was the service, and I'm not going to generalize. The bartenders were very nice and friendly, as were the kitchen staff. It's a place I go to a lot, but on my last visit, I was quite annoyed that they tried to kick us out twice for not ordering much. We had already ordered food, appetizers, mixed drinks, sodas, and large beers, and five minutes after they took away our last drinks, a girl came and told us that if we didn't order any more, we had to leave. She gave us two options: bring some people who were waiting outside (foreigners, haha) to our table and come back two hours later when the set started and it was "free entry with no purchase required," or keep ordering to keep our table, or else please leave. How awful! I hope it never happens to them. Aside from that, I recommend the place, but it's a shame that it left such a bad experience.
