Lugar Terraza que forma parte del ámbito aporticado que envuelve el mercado del pescado en Ciutadella de Menorca. Un lugar con personalidad propia, pintoresco, lleno de historia y reflejo de la cultura menorquina. Servicio Espectacular. Tuvimos la suetre que nos atendieran tanto Joan, el amo y señor del lugar, como uno de los camareros, Gabi. Ambos nos atendieron con absoluto cariño, respeto y máxima diligencia. Joan nos ayudó a escoger el vino, acompañandonos en el viaje entre texturas, estructuras, sabores y colores. También nos explicó cada plato, cómo estaba elaborado y cómo debíamos comerlo. Un placer en el sabor pero también en el acompañamiento. Comida Brutal. Explosión de sabores, contrastes y recuerdos. Hemos comido una ensaimada planchada con un sabor indescriptible que fusionaba tamices variados, unos saquitos crujientes que te transportaban al mar y la pesca y, también, una batalla entre un boniato, la ensaimada balear y un calamar que luchaba sin cesar…. ….no sabemos quien ganó, pero fué espectacular. Los postres: una ensalada de frutas con helado, fresca no, fresquísima; y un postre de mezclas de chocolates, a cuál mejor…. ….con el maridaje aconsejado de vino dulce, muy muy acertado. Experiencia Para repetir. La suma entre el lugar, el servicio y el producto, excepcional, volveremos!!!!

Hemos venido a cenar, todo buenísimo. En especial el croissant relleno de steak tartar. Se nota mucho la calidad del producto. El personal es muy bueno. Es un lugar perfecto para los amantes de los vinos ya que tienen una vinoteca muy grande y saben que recomendarte para acompañar la comida. Muy recomendable para cualquier época del año.

Maravilloso. El boniato con calamar y sobrasada, un espectáculo. Y el cochinillo, increíble. Dos personas hemos cenado por 78€ que no me parece nada nada nada mal teniendo dn cuenta la calidad de los productos, la originalidad de los platos y la amabilidad del personal. Volveremos para probar otros platos que tenía una pinta espectacular.

Interesantísimo local en la zona de más encanto de Ciutadella, para amantes de los vinos y la cocina de calidad. Hay sensibilidad hacia el producto local. No es barato, pero sí es especial. Queda declarado "punto de encuentro" desde ya. Y tienen menús especiales para consumir en local o para llevar, a precios competitivos

We happened upon Ulisses and decided to stop in for a quick glass of wine – and we’re so glad we did. Even though all the tables for drinks were full, the staff kindly offered us a table that was reserved for later diners, and it made for a lovely experience.

Just finished a great diner. All local produces put into some delicious dishes. For me a 5* place, good service, excellent food and good atmosphere. For my fellow tourists in Menorca , always reserve a table for diner, lunch is mostly/never a problem to get a table. So yes, whenever in cictudella be sure to visit ulisses.

There’s a bold, outside the box approach to the food concept that truly deserves recognition. While the portion/price/quality ratio could use some fine-tuning, the execution, atmosphere, and excellent wine selection make it up for the shortcomings. I genuinely hope they find the right direction because this place has the potential to be one of the top three in town. For now, it definitely deserves a spotlight, but there’s still room for improvement. Still... you shouldn't miss it if you're visiting Ciutadella.

Delicious! Croquettas (all 3 flavours), tacos were delicious! Great and fast service. Make sure you try this 2 white wines (see their names on the picture of bill). Get a reservation to make sure you will be able to sit, but if you are around and you didnt make one, pass there to try one table. Its great!

We almost missed this place because of the reviews but it was one of the best food on the island. Everything we had was delicious and fresh (we had the squid andalusian style, patatas bravas and pimentos de padron). We finished with the cheesecake and the chocolate mousse which were out of this world. We went back for a tasting menu and everything was again on point. Fresh fish, one of the best tortillas I’ve had paired perfectly with Oliver Morangues wine. Definately worth a visit! Will be coming back soon.

My spouse and I were on Menorca for 12 days and this was the best meal we ate. Granted, it was expensive at just over 100euros, but it was well worth it. The courgette carpaccio might have been the most delicious thing we had; definitely order it. The white prawns and the octopus with sobrasada soil and sweet potato puree (pictured) were absolutely worth ordering as well. It's in a great location with a lively and fun atmosphere. If you're in Ciutadella, this should be your tapas of choice.

Ubicado junto al mercado, no dejes que pase desapercibido en tu visita. Priman el producto de proximidad, con carta aparte de pescado del día. El servicio súper atento y amplia selección de vinos.

Very nice and chilled out place, in the heart of Ciutadella. The cuisine is modern with very good connection to its roots. We had a wonderful ceviche, exciting sea cucumbers, an amazing (like, seriously) gaspacho, and a very exceptional ajoblanco. All of the dishes were weird enough to excite you and also well rooted to their origins to being back memories. Also, the place has a very nice selection of wines! Make sure that you are not driving the day that you visit the place 😀 A must go place in Ciutadella.

Excellent fish. Great wine by the glass (had a rosado). Nice ambience and terrace next to the market. Prices on the high side. Service somewhat slow. Also the server recommended the artichoke as a starter which turned out to be fried after I had already ordered fried fish (which came with homemade fried potato chips).. the recommendation was not great in that there were many non fried options as a starter.

El sitio es precioso, en el mismo mercado del pez de Ciutadella. Los precios según pasan los años suben y suben y suben. Un platito de ensaladilla 8 euros. Bueno faltaba sabor en algunos platos como el steak o la ensaladilla. Pero normal, el servicio agradable.

Fuimos a cenar con mis hijas y pedimos algunos platos. La calidad de la comida y el cocinado está bien, gambas, mejillones, saquitos de salmónetes, croqueton de Gambon, pulpo de arrastre, banderillas de pescado y un par de postres , para la cantidad el precio es demasiado elevado y el servicio deja que desear. El chico que toma nota muy bien pero el resto , sirven condesagana y con un toque de estupidez, se dejó las cucharas del postre y encima hizo un comentario como si el reto de camareros no se enteraran de nada, cuando había sido el mismo quien nos había servido . Ha cambiado mucho de años atrás…

DECEPCIÓN. Un año esperando nuestras vacaciones. Una noche destinada a cenar en Ulisses. 30 mins de espera teniendo reserva. Y la mesa en la que nos sentaron estaba vacía desde que llegamos. Comida de alto precio en relación a su calidad y sobretodo, cantidad. 1-ensaimada planchada. 7€ lo mas bueno y mas barato, buen toque con tomates deshidratados. 2-tataki de atun, sugerencia del dia. Estaba muy seco 3- Carpaccio gamba. Este plato quizá el único que se salva, pero sus 21€ son excesivos 4- Pescado de roca con sobrasada. Buen pescado pero 2 trocitos y 25€, nos ha parecido muy exagerado, vale que venia con su sobrasada y patatitas, pero ha sido demasiado escandoloso. 5- Vino albariño SAL 26€, afrutado, fresco rico. 6- Tarta de queso. Para 2, con 2 cucharadas por persona de lo acabas. En conclusión, cenamos 2 personas, pagamos 113,70€, como se ve en la cuenta y nos vamos con hambre. No debería ser así.

One Life

After eating dinner at our hotel we decided to head to Ciutadella for drinks. While strolling around the streets my wife spotted this place. We weren’t sure at first whether they would expect us to be ordering food, but there was a few spare tables so we decided to sit down. It appeared to be a mix of people eating or drinking glasses of wine, coffees, etc. My wife said she might actually like to try one or two of their tapas. We sat for at least ten minutes without being noticed, then I managed to get the attention of a waiter. I asked for the tapas menu, in my best tourist Spanish, then he abruptly said something in response that I didn’t understand, so I said, ‘no entiendo señor’. He responded in perfect English, ‘did my boss say you could take this table?’ I told him there is no sign saying, ‘please wait to be seated’. He then marched off to check that we were allowed to be there. The tables are out on the street, it’s not a dining room. He returned five minutes later, no smile, with a generally unfriendly demeanour, and put menus in front of us. I only wanted a coffee, my wife was going to have a glass of wine and maybe try their cheese selection. When he returned to take our order, still acting like he didn’t want us there, we told him what we wanted, he just gave us a blank expression, then looked at me and responded, ‘Americano’, as if to say, ‘is that all’. At that point I decided we were leaving. I’ve only ever walked away from two establishments in my life…this was one of them. He asked what the problem was, and why we were leaving, I told him, ‘because you’re rude’, unfortunately I didn’t know how to tell him in Spanish, but now I’ve learned a new phrase…’Eres muy grosero’. 😂 I’m not sure what his problem was, but I don’t think he should be working front of house.

Deeply regret not listening to the negative reviews here about the terrible service at Ulisses. The absolute worst dining experience I had on the island and it just seems like the servers have a real distain for tourists. Save your money and time for one of the many other places in Ciutadella who would welcome you. Still can’t believe how bad the attitude was.

Arrived and was totally ignored by staff, so we sat down at en empty table (the only one without a reserved sign). All seemed fine, but then we suddenly got scolded by an extremely rude waiter who aggressively spoke to us that we needed a reservation. We were shocked by his highly arrogant tone and banging the menu on the table, we were happy enough to wait if necessary, he pointed us to another table (so there was availabilty after all) - but we decided to leave as his aggression was totally unacceptable and unecessary.

Worst food experience in Menorca! Food is very low quality, poorly cooked, and highly overpriced. We shared our feedback with the owner of the restaurant who was not interested at all in hearing our opinions and treated us in a very poor way. If you are not able to serve food at the level of your prices, If you are not interested in listening any feedback, and if you treat your clients as the most miserable being, probably you should consider to change business.
