Thank you so much for providing such a peaceful place for people like me who need to study on the weekend! It was my first time in La Verne for an exam, and I was looking for a Starbucks to do some last-minute studying, but they were all drive-thru with no tables. I found this place on Google instead, and I’m so glad I did! Such a cool spot—and the chai is delicious. Thank you!
Sanctuary Coffee is such a gem — and even better, it’s a non-profit café where 100% of the profits support charities and local communities. That alone makes it worth visiting, but the experience itself was just as great. I ordered one of their drinks of the month (July), the Blue Rose Sweet Tea, and it was delicious — refreshing and not overly sweet. The staff was super friendly, and the bathroom was clean, which I always appreciate. Surprisingly, it wasn’t too busy for a Saturday morning around 11am. There’s plenty of seating, a calm atmosphere, and free Wi-Fi, making it a perfect spot to relax or get some work done. Amazing mission, great drinks, and a welcoming space — I’ll definitely be back!
This is a great coffee shop with a great mission (donations go to support charities who are on the front lines of social concerns). The brewed coffee is good. The indoor seating has several different options. There are several tables both larger and smaller for getting work done. There is a comfy area with a couple of couches and a coffee table. There is an elevated steps area with cushions for reading. And there is a conference room with glass walls that can be reserved. It was fairly busy when I visited on a Wed around 10am. Most of the seating was occupied, so I sat on the stepped platform for awhile and then moved to one of the couches. Cool vibe with a great collection of people. Friendly staff too. It was cold outside, so I didn't have an opportunity to try out the patio, but it's not super cute anyway and borders the parking lot. I think the indoor space is the place to be. I highly recommend stopping by this coffee sanctuary ... cause it truly is. :)
the atmosphere here was great and we quickly picked up on it while we were ordering. we did get their hot creme brulee flavored coffee but they were out of oat milk which was fine. i noticed at a quick glance that there were signs showing that this coffee shop supports different non profit organizations and had availability to donate to that charity. there were a ton of students inside with laptops and a cool space available to rent for meetings which was different from other locations. there is also a patio available to the community who want to sip in the fresh air outside.
We visited this coffee shop on our way back to Los Angeles from Big Bear vacation 🐻🌲 I absolutely in love with this signature Blue Lagoon coffee drink! Never tried anything like this! So unique and delicious! 🥥☕️ Please make this drink permanent not seasonal ✨It’s absolutely worth it! 🤤
Excellent coffee! Friendly baristas! And an excellent place to sit back and read, study, or just enjoy the ambiance. I love their selection of coffees and they serve pour overs 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. I live in Ontario so it should be a little far for a cup of coffee but well worth the drive and time.
High quality coffee and loose leaf tea, made to order. People are super nice and the space is beautiful with artwork, couches, tables and an outdoor patio. Selection of tarts, scones, and bagels. The owner, Steve, says all profits go to local charities which make me happy!
Best Pumpkin Spice latte ever! Not over spiced, creamy, perfect foam and no bitter espresso! In addition to the regular wooden table and chairs, this place has a large cozy cozy couch with two large arms chairs in the rear of the cafe. Perfect for relaxing and enjoying the day!
The new space is absolutely gorgeous. I love the seating options outside and they have great comfy options inside (including a stadium seating area with big poufs). I am looking forward to using the private conference room for a meeting. Also I'd recommend the lavender latte!
I really like how they decorate the walls and put different types of tables and chairs. Even they have meeting room. I ordered cappuccino and I will give two thumbs up to barista. Definitely going back.

I loved the lavender latte I got. Even though there were a lot of people there, the staff were friendly and quick. It looks like a great place to get work done too.
Great coffee at a good price, plenty of seating both inside and out, plus there’s even a conference room. The music isn’t too loud and you can purchase the art on the wall which is nice too. The staff is friendly and quick to get your order out. I love that my purchase goes to a good cause so I will definitely be coming back for all the reasons listed above.
Truly the best café in the area. Wonderful and creative seating options for studying or going on a date, lots of good quality coffee/tea options. I love that they actually give you ceramic mugs or glass cups if you drink in the café. The workers are also so inviting and friendly
Nice place. Good work spaces. Outdoor seating front and back. Plenty of parking spots, Though a busy lot, I’ve always found parking for my oversized vehicle. Their lattes are good. Syrups are 1883, which are the better sort. The baked goods are excellent. Cons: regular mochas are not strong the way I like ‘em and, for allergies, they don’t know much about what’s in the baked goods. Lots of board games. Place is popular.
This place is awesome. Super friendly staff that make pretty great drinks. I got the Spanish latte, not too sweet, and had a good spice flavor, could really taste the cinnamon. The place is super cute, and my favorite part is how they donate 100% of their profit to charity. It's not often you see a cafe like that. Also, it seemed like they brought people with special needs in to have them help clean and give them some work, which was really sweet to see. Love this place.

Sanctuary Coffee lives up to its name—it’s a peaceful, welcoming space with great energy and even better drinks. I ordered the matcha latte with almond milk, and it was absolutely perfect—earthy, smooth, and not overly sweet. I really appreciate that their matcha isn’t pre-sweetened like so many other coffee shops—you can actually taste the quality. Ben was amazing and took the time to share that Sanctuary is a nonprofit supporting the local community. That mission adds so much depth to the experience—you can feel the heart behind everything they do. The space is cozy and beautifully designed, with natural light, comfy seating, and an inviting, creative vibe. Whether you’re working, catching up with a friend, or just need a quiet moment, it’s the perfect spot. The staff is kind, the service is thoughtful, and the menu has great plant-based options. I would absolutely go out of my way to visit this place again. Sanctuary Coffee isn’t just a café—it’s a community haven. One of my favorite finds in Claremont.

First time here ! Nice local coffee shop in Claremont . The place looks bigger than it looks from the outside - plenty of seating I can see a lot of the college kids coming here to study . I didn’t try their pastries just ordered a flat white and it was decent ! Would come back again
Drove by the neighborhood and stoped here for a cup of coffee. Had a cappuccino, a cafe Cubano and a blueberry lemmon pound cake. Latte is fine and cafe cubano is extremely strong, way too atrong for me 😆. This place is full of students. All in all ok place.

This coffee shop has nice, open, comfortable space(s) and a great outdoor patio. It’s got a nice vibe. It’s a place where you can read, study, or have small group meetings. They donate profits to local charities and that’s a good thing. I just wish their coffee and baked goods were better. Service can also be a bit slow.

Drinks are always okay- nothing to write home about. Profiles are usually a little flat and under-concentrated, and it frankly tastes as if they use unfiltered tap water. Atmosphere is nice enough, albeit mostly single people taking up entire tables (perhaps consider separating tables by a few inches). Overall okay, but at least it's not Starbucks.

good cause, bad quality! got a matcha latte and it was basically just overpriced milk
Worst coffee experience. Took 15 mins to get a cup full of milk and flavored syrup for $7.00+ and only a small size. Definitely not worth it and won’t be coming back. The guy forgot my order and served people who ordered after me first. Everyone was wondering why he was so slow and we all were looking at each other waiting for someone to say something. Nobody said anything but at least I know this place isn’t worth trying their overpriced coffee and generic syrup. I’d rather get ripped off at Starbucks because it’s cheaper and faster service!
