I was looking for a quick Mongolian beef fix when I found China Chef. On live in the area and didn't realize this place was around the corner from us. I had the combo #7, Mongolian beef combo plate with a side of pot stickers. The food was delicious, fresh and best of all, week priced. China Chef! I will definitely be returning. Absolutely delicious!!! 😍

The China Chef is located at the Willow station but is tucked away on the side facing Nees Ave. Their shrimp chow mein is amazing and this place is always really clean. It’s a great place to go to escape the crowds while not having a fast food taste experience.

Food is delicious and they're super nice people. Ordered some food right before closing and they stayed open to accomplish the order and gave me some free soup for the wait. Highly recommend!

They are currently under new ownership and they are the best. They are always so kind and welcoming, fast and attentive. And the food is amazing as well. The chicken chow mein is to die for so amazing and the portion sizes are incredible. If you have had a bad experience before I definitely say give them another chance and you won't be disappointed.

Lucky kitchen is in the house formerly known as China chef these guys are from the bay area and have an exquisite taste for their food I love their menu and taste is amazing from broccoli n beef to shrimp fried rice we always order different things off their menu and their white rice is fabulous I welcome these new owners to Clovis and they are serving it up to please the community come try them you won't be disappointed and extremely nice people

Have gone several times and they do a pretty decent job. Employees are always friendly and for Northeast Fresno it's one of the better spots. I love chow/lo mein so that's what I base off of. They are able to give good spice (level 5 for me). It has a good kick but not enough to burn your mouth. We ordered the house special which has multiple meats. Good flavor however the noodles are always a little gummy and sticky. That's why I give a 3. I always get the shrimp fried rice which is also ok. The Mongolian beef can also be ordered spicy and comes loaded with onions. You'll have to ask for steamed rice on the side. It's near McDonalds on Willow/Nees by the Ten Tavern on Nees next to Vietnamese restaurant as well. They are closed on Mondays and have both coke and Pepsi which is cool. Canned drinks and they sell little crunchy almond cookies if you have a sweet tooth while there. Clean restaurant and fast service.

UPDATE 08/25: So restaurant is under new management and the new team seems to be receiving great training but food has changed. Hope they get back to original recipes. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Love the food here and great customer service. This is our go-to for takeout. Their mandarin beef plate and orange chicken are delicious. Yum.

I haven’t been in there since the ownership changed and was hoping for good things. The crab rangoons had no sign of crab in them at all. It was just cream cheese and they were overcooked. The shrimp tasted like they were overcooked as well very dry. As far as my plate, I thought I was going to get a plate of fried rice, chow mein, and my protein, and I ended up only getting the chow mein and the sweet-and-sour chicken. either way there wasn’t much flavor to it at all and I would not recommend going and I won’t be back. I hope your experience is better if you do go.

Extremely disappointed in the change over , we have been coming here for Years to only get informed After paying over $130 in food that they cut all plates sizes in half now, unfortunately now lost a customer

I can confirm after today's order that it is definitely not worth it now. Everything was just off. Pan fried noodles were not like what you would expect from other Chinese food places. They were skinny noodles and hard like ramen from your pantry. They had a quart of liquid to pour over it to attempt to make them edible. We didn't even bother saving all of the extras for leftovers.

They changed ownership. The food went way downhill. I recently had surgery and can’t walk, so I ordered on DoorDash, and the sweet-and-sour chicken that I requested to come with sauce off, which normally comes with sauce off regardless, came with the sauce on, so it’s soggy, and the meat is all gray and chewy. I called and told them that I think they made me one with dark meat, and she told me that they no longer order any dark meat. That’s scary. Because if this is white meat, then I’m glad it was bad enough to throw in the trash. Don’t go here. Sad to have lost a good spot to new ownership. Truly, yuck.

They changed ownership. The food went way downhill. Thought maybe different people working in a Saturday but nope. New management. The price remained the same but portion sizes were smaller. We order 2 pork chow mein and one orange chicken. The noodles looked like they were sitting out longer than they should have and the same with the chicken. The chicken was very dry and not appealing at all. The noodles were dry and, again, portion was smaller than they used to be. What used to be a great Chinese place with great prices and portions has succumbed to shrinkflation. We will be taking our business elsewhere.

The fried rice ,which I have eaten before, has drastically changed. Additionally, the price remains mostly the same but the portion is shrunk. Lastly the teriyaki chicken is very much worse than previous visits.

Unfortunately, this place is under new ownership.And the food is not the same.I gave them a shot.I will never go back.It makes me really sad.This was my favorite chinese place. Portions are tiny and the price is the same. None of the food is the same. The service was great.Don't get me wrong.The people were very nice, but this place won't last.The food is not good. If I hade to rate quality and quantity on its own I'd give it a 1
