I had the lobster bisque soup and seafood platter in garlic butter sauce, and the food was delicious. The customer service was great, the cashier was pleasant, and bubbly, the staff checked from time to time to ensure we were ok, the place was clean . I went on a Friday night, so families were out eating. Overall, the atmosphere was nice. I would go back again.
Decided to stop by here and grab lunch (ordered and picked up). I got the fish and chips and my co-worker for the lobster bisque. My fish and chips were sooo hot and fresh and delicious. I’m glad I asked for extra tarter! The fries were good! I didn’t like the hush puppies but I didn’t care about that! They were part of the meal. The service here is on point too! I was greeted when I walked in, the workers were talking to incoming customers, I was asked if I had been assisted by 2 workers! I will definitely return!
Ordered poolside lunch for delivery from Fish Joint and it did not disappoint. Food was prepared fast and arrived fresh and crispy. The fish and chips were perfect and very tasty. The snapper sandwich was a nice sized portion but a tad dry. Hit the spot!! Will definitely add them to my delivery options. 👍🏻
I'm not easily impressed when it comes to seafood, but the Fish Joint really blew me away. This is a very inviting casual eatery (I think most of their business is takeout) with really exceptional attention to detail. Every item was fresh, delicious, and very obviously prepared with skill and care. The chowder was amazing - better than most you'd find in New England. Fish and chips were out of this world - not too heavily battered, fried at EXACTLY the right temperature and time, flaky, crisp, delicious. The chips were cut unusually, at an angle, but came out very well Even the homemade tartar sauce is noteworthy. The mahi mahi platter, blackened, was similarly excellent. Nothing was overcooked, and even the side dish of mixed vegetables (I was expecting a frozen mix) was freshly prepared and good. Let me add that the portions were more than generous, particularly at the prices offered. This is my new favorite casual seafood spot. I'll definitely be back.
After several people told me, “this is a great place”, I finally made time to go. The staff was professional and kinds. The mahi tacos fresh and yummy!! Excited to come back and try more items on the menu.
Valentina was so friendly and helpful. Came with 2 toddlers we enjoyed everything! Food and service was top notch definitely will be back!
My 2nd visit and, like a crazy person, I went to a fish restaurant, by myself, specifically for the Cajun Chicken Pasta! It's that good! My husband ordered it on our first visit and after tasting it, the fomo was real! Excellent food and great service from Haylee and Kayla. Thank you and I will definitely be back.
I have been to The Fish Joint a few times now. It is always delicious and consistent. The lobster bisque is incredible as well as any of the fish sandwiches. Also ordered a crab cake BLT today which was so so so good. The fries and coleslaw are super authentic and I am always excited for the hush puppies. A great spot to try if you’re in the area!
This place is by my work so I probably grab lunch here once a week. For a seafood joint, they're not overpriced and the food is good quality. I always get their crab rolls or the lobster roll special. Both come with a side and hush puppies. They're always fresh and so yummy. Also worth trying are their tacos. They're quite pricey but the size of each taco is humongous. Plus they don't skimp out on the protein. My favorite is the buffalo shrimp tacos. The shrimp are plump and tasty. And the buffalo sauce is a flavor explosion. The other tacos I get are the Mahi. Nicely grilled and also very flavorful. I'm a fan of this place. Reliable, food is consistent and the service is good. You just call ahead and pick your food up but don't forget to ask for the specials. They change daily.
Yum and more yum this is a little hidden gem in northern Broward county it’s worth the drive if you’re looking for a good value seafood meal they have something for everyone chowder is off the chain delicious. It’s up there with one of my top favorite clam chowder I had the jerked mahi-mahi. Sandwich lunch special. It was delicious. Nice big piece of fish very fresh tasting. You won’t be disappointing. Give this place a try. I can’t wait to go back.
We found this gem in coconut creek, FL, after a visit to Butterfly world, and were so glad we did. I had the blackened grouper with fries and cheesy grits, the wife had a shrimp po'boy and the kid had the pound of snow crabs. All of it was absolutely fabulous. And the staff was extremely friendly. I'll definitely go again.....and again.
The food was delicious, the portions were perfect, and everything came out fresh and fast. Valentina was super amazing! She made our visit so enjoyable, she was attentive and friendly the whole time. 10/10 experience.
After reading reviews, I had to stop by this joint. My husband and I were very impressed with the cleanliness of the place, it didn't smell like fish and the employees were super friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. We had the fish and chips, ahi tuna nachos, crab legs and a chicken sandwich. Everything was on point and so fresh. Will definitely be back real soon for the lobster roll. They deserve 10 stars! A little gem that was always so close to home and I never knew until I searched on google for seafood restaurants near me, so glad I did.
Man what a great surprise this place was. Small hidden restaurant worth checking out. The place was super clean and nicely decorated. The staff was super friendly and extra attentive. Everything I ate from the longer roll, to the tacos, hush puppies, and even the crab boil were fresh and well prepared. Will definitely be going back.
The food was really good! Everything arrived hot and fast. Valentina was really attentive. She was really friendly the entire time and made our experience smooth. Thank you! Will be coming back.
A delicious quick service fish restaurant with sandwiches, salads, platters, dips, and more. Very clean restaurant with fresh ingredients. Tried the ahi sandwich and the fish & chips, both were delicious! The ahi was really flavorful with a lot of different textures and tastes on the sandwich. Crisp on the fish & chips was really good too. Their fries and hush puppies are also a welcomed addition to the meal. Employees are really friendly and attentive, and the food was ready quickly.
I loved it. My parents just took me here for the first time. I had the fried shrimp po boy. They had their standing order of fish tacos. Everything was fresh and hot on delivery to the table. Lightly breaded, fresh tasting, delicately seasoned without being too salty. Their cole slaw was on point. The two women who served us were very friendly and accommodating. I will look forward to my next visit to try the Mahi of snapper.
The food was DELICIOUS! Well prepared seafood. I had the grilled grouper, mixed veggies and Cajun rice. My mom had the fried shrimp, fries and coleslaw. Both were great. The bread pudding with ice cream was very good too. Nice, clean, simple casual atmosphere. The service was very good too. Nice people. It is easy to support local businesses and eateries when they are this good!
We dined here yesterday (Oct 28) mid day, for the first time. Very warm reception from the lady at the counter. Very casual restaurant, order at the counter and the food is brought to your table. It was hard to choose from so many appetizing items available on the menu, being there for the first time, we asked for a recommendation and the lady recommended the Lobster Roll sandwich. It was a great recommendation, whole pieces of fresh lobster and didn't lack in quantity! We took the hot version with garlic and butter on a toasted brioche bun, delicious!! Came with Cole Slaw, hush puppies and cheese grits, all delicious as well. Definitely going back to experience the rest of the menu. Thank You!
An old saying, you get what you pay for... Well, the Fish Joint is the place! Take a look at the Lobster Roll which is loaded with knuckles and claws!! Reminds me of my college days visiting my buddies in Maine and Rhode Island! The surfer deco is cool, too! Came back for the Mahi Mahi Tacos which were absolutely delicious!!
When I was told we were going to a place called “The Fish Joint,” located in a storefront in a strip mall, let’s just say I was underwhelmed. This is a great example of the expression don’t judge a book by its cover. Although located in west Broward, quite a ways from the ocean, this may very well be the best seafood place in all of South Florida. Exaggeration? No. I’ve eaten in the best of them and this little, out of the way eatery stands up to them all. The lobster rolls are to die for. They’re not filled with cheap fillers like so many places do, it’s simply an abundance of FRESH lobster meat, and if you ask for the warm one, it’s complimented with a savory garlic butter sauce. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Their snow crab legs are seasoned to perfection and are likewise mouth-watering. The Fish Joint’s prices are more than fair given the high quality and freshness of their ingredients. I HIGHLY recommend this place the next time you’re craving fish, any fish. They’ve made a customer for life out of me and my family. Both indoor and outdoor dining as well as take-out.
(3/23/24) My friend and I stumbled upon this restaurant out of curiosity. This was a happy accident! The place looks new but the food was really good! I had the Salman platter with Cajun rice, & mixed veggies. Everything was seasoned perfectly! My friend had lobster bisque but took home a lobster po-boy sandwich with chips. When I imagine "fish & chips", the chips (fries) is how I pictured it! Other restaurants can learn this style of "chips". Just a suggestion to the cook, give the option for Old Bay seasoning for the chips. But everything was good! My truck driving friend will make it to this location again next trip
I had an awesome experience at The Fish Joint! Valentina provided expert and friendly service from start to finish, she made great recommendations and was super helpful. Because of her welcoming attitude and professionalism, I’ll definitely be coming back again soon. Highly recommend!
The employees couldn’t have been nicer! The lobster roll was amazing, especially as it was Thursday special… only $21 for 4 oz. It was as good as a Maine lobster roll. The atmosphere was pretty cool too…skateboards and surfboards.
Delicious seafood with friendly service I recently visited The Fish Joint at 4570 Lyons Road, Coconut Creek, FL and had an excellent experience. The menu is loaded with fresh seafood options, from crispy fried shrimp and grilled mahi to savory crab boils, tacos, lobster rolls and chowders. Everything is prepared with fresh ingredients and bold flavors that made each bite memorable. I enjoyed the meal I ordered, which came out hot and well‑seasoned, and the portions were generous. The atmosphere is casual yet clean and inviting, perfect for a relaxed lunch or dinner. What really stood out was the service. Kayla, the cashier, greeted me warmly, answered all my questions about the menu, and made sure my order was accurate. She even checked in later to see if I needed anything else. Her friendly demeanor, along with the rest of the staff, created a welcoming vibe that enhanced the meal experience. Overall, The Fish Joint delivers on its promise of fresh, flavorful seafood in a laid‑back setting. Between the diverse menu options and attentive service, it’s a place I’d happily recommend to anyone looking for great seafood in Coconut Creek
Super friendly service, food came out fresh and fast, my fried cod was so crunchy and hot. Lunch special was a great price and so many options included. No complaints ! Only recommendations.
Our dinner was delicious! We had mahi sandwich, platter and a crab boil that was phenomenal . Service was excellent! Thank you Jordyn and Kayla for being so kind and helpful .
This is amazing fish restaurant! The lobster roll was super delicious and not covered in any crazy sauce. And the seared tuna tacos were unbelievably delicious + french fries and corn were great as well.I highly recommend it!
Food was AMAZING both times we visited. Valentina was phenomenal, knowledgeable, and hospitable! Everytime we visit Florida we plan to come back
I tired the fish joint for the first time yesterday and I was not disappointed. The food came quickly and was hot, but not too hot that you couldn't start eating. I tried the grilled tri-fecta which after eating made me full but not uncomfortably full. I actually had some left for later. The food was not greasy and was very tasteful. I'm already thinking about what to try on my next trip. The service was excellent, the server was very attentive and efficient. Awesome team at the coconut creek location. I will definitely be going back.
We are NOT locals! We drove up from Miami in a frenzy for the best seafood joint! & The Fish Joint did not disappoint!!! Delicious, finger licking conch fritters, fried shrimp, and the Trifecta. Also shared the daily special of Monday which was the Mahi sandwich. Everything was fresh and delicious. Sebastian and Valentina made this a wonderful experience with their excellent customer service and attentiveness, always coming out to ask if we needed anything else. Hands down coming back and recommend to anyone in the area looking for a great seafood bite.
This is a local place where you can get seafood. Its not so busy but cute. You pay as soon as you come in. They get the food ready for you. The food we ordered was very good too. We ordered 2 lb of snow crabs and the seasoning for the snow crabs was nice. The crab was cooked to the right temperature and was easy to pull out. Jay, Kayla, and Nadia took good care of us. They checked up on us if we needed anything. I would definitely come again.
First time trying and wasn't disappointed. I got the fried trifecta with Cajun rice and fries. The rice had spice and fries were hand cut potatoes 😋 all food seasoned well and juicy

My linguine with clambs met my expectations, and wife's Mahi taco, blackened, was deemed excellent 👌. She said, "There was a generous amount of Mahis, and the coleslaw paired well."

The Fish Joint is hands down one of my favorite spots to dine. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is pleasant and the staff is super super friendly, attentive and just a joy to be around. A must try!!!
My mahi sandwich and my wife’s lobster roll were delicious. The lobster bisque was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We will definitely be back to enjoy the delicious food. Jordyn and Valentina did a great job, steering us in the right direction on what food to order and we’re great!!!
I came here on New Year’s Day for lunch with my son. Food was absolutely amazing. Best seafood place I’ve had in a while. We tried the ragin cajun po boy, the shrimp and grits and the banana bread pudding. Everything tasted absolutely delicious and the service was great.
Went to this place for the first time the food was amazing fresh the fries. Everything was amazing. I will definitely be coming back. Also the young lady who helped me her name was Jordan. She was so sweet so pleasant. Her personality was just amazing. … will definitely come back
This restaurant has delicious food! I ordered the fried snapper platter and everything was fresh and seasoned very well, and a plentiful portion of food. Being from New Orleans where our cuisine is very seafood focused, finding a place in south FL that mimics food from home has been a challenge. This definitely hit the mark! Unfortunately, the price didn't. Just one platter, no extras or drinks, was $22 before tip. While there are absolutely no complaints to be said about the food, I unfortunately won't be back for a while due to the cost.
The Fish Joint was recommended to me for a catered lunch for about 50 people and they did not disappoint. Brian and Steve were great to work with. Brian recommended a taco bar with all the fixings, plus salad, hushpuppies, cajun rice and dessert, and it was all delicious! Delivery was prompt, Steve set everything up, and portions were generous so people could get seconds. Definitely a win for our event!

We have been trying to go to this spot forever now. Usually on a Sundays, but they are "gone fishing" on Sundays :) We finally got in on a Saturday, and it was quiet. Ambiance wise, long boards and skateboards decorated the walls. Minimal feeling but just enough to tell you that the owner has a very ocean and outdoor lifestyle. This is a walk-up and order type establishment. The food was good. The service was outstanding. The staff was very knowledgeable about the menu and about the restaurants history. Loved hearing the stories. Blackened Snapper - Had this with fresh veggies and coleslaw. Came with 2 hushpuppies that were small. 1 less star bc the snapper was watery. The more we cut in, the more water came out. It should have been more crispy and blackened. It made us believe it was possibly frozen and didn't have time to defrost before frying up. It was a great piece of fish. However, it was swimming in juices/water, so it was not pleasant to eat. Fried Shrimp Po-boy - Fantsastic!!! Delicious flavors and perfectly made. The batter around the shrimp had a tasty seasoning, and the entire hoagie experience was delightful. 10/10 for this entire dish. French Fries - Heyooo!!! These were hand sliced pieces of potatoes fried up and soooo delicious!!!! We were all obsessed with these bc they seemed to be peeled by hand and just so fun to eat. Perfectly fried. The details matter. 10/10 get extra fries on everything.
The food at the Fish Joint was the best food prepared at the moment. The vegetables were crunchy with that soft magical touch of garlic. I recommend the Jamaican sauce with an incredible sweet and spicy touch. The best at all was Sebastian. He knows the dishes and their preparation very well. Nice recommendations. Sebastian, you are the best thanks.
Quick lunch. I had a craving for fish and chips and unfortunately learned cracker barrel in deerfield Beach closed down. The fish was absolutely delicious and piping hot. The batter was not too thick. The fries were tasty and unlike any I've had before. The cole slaw was uninteresting and the flavor was not good. The hush puppies were hard and small. Maybe overcooked. Should definitely make them bigger so they dont overcook like this. The staff was polite friendly and helpful. Counter ordering was quick and the food was out in only a few minutes. I would come back but just for the fish. Also the tarter sauce had a great flavor and paired perfect with the fish. Its a bit pricey at $39 for two people for lunch and only 1 drink.

Food is very good. Servings are large. They have lobster specials. My husband and I have tried many of their menu items. The lobster was not so good. Very chewy and not very tasty. Everything else is great
Food was ok. Cajun rice was seasoned but not flavorful. Chicken tenders were good. The joint was very tasty. I asked for two only received one. Ask for curbside due to back surgery. I had to walk in and get it myself while girl in the front was staring into space
As someone who used to eat here quite frequently, I am very disappointed with my last 2 visits. The food quality used to be a lot more enjoyable, but now it seems to lack any type of care and i can unfortunately say the same about the service. The food begun to lose its flavor and is made a lot differently. I had questions about the menu that couldn’t be answered properly. I still decided i’d try other things on the menu to find something for me to like, but it feels like i've lost appetite for this place as a whole. I tried the conch fritters and I felt a gush load of grease after my first bite in. The fritter itself was so burnt it could be mistaken for coal. I then attempted to eat some tacos until I found it just as nauseating. On top of waiting way too long for Tacos.. there was way too much seasoning on my Grilled tacos- very difficult to enjoy. Mistakes happen, but when I am already having a bad food experience at a place I used to enjoy it very disheartening. The only thing that could potentially save this place would be the bread pudding. To truly tie this poor experience together. I asked to speak to the owner and they were nowhere to be found.. Must be why the place is experiencing such a downfall. I felt as if this place a place to get customers to drain their money rather than actual quality care.
I stopped by a few months ago for lunch to try out the Cajun Pasta i hear so much about from family and friends and despite initially being thrown off by the restaurants conditions ( The floors had footprints everywhere and appeared to be quite dirty)- It was DELICIOUS! Perfect sauce to pasta ratio, fantastic flavor, and plenty of Chicken. I ended up trying out their dessert as well after the very kind Girl at the front recommended the Chocolate cake- It was very tasty. I enjoyed the food so much I’ve been craving it and decided to come back to try the Shrimp Pasta. To my surprise, my experience was very disappointing.. After Months of craving this pasta, I received my food and was Shocked at the amount of oil at the surface of my pasta. It was unappetizing- Not sure if maybe it had been sitting out for a while but it was not what I remember.
