I was able to sit out in the patio tables and have my children play in the play area. It was such a beautiful place and I loved the atmosphere. I was able to enjoy my lunch while the kids played and my kids ate their meal on the way home. The food was fantastic as well!
We LOVE Lupe Tortilla in College Station. We live over in Brenham, and drive up to CS all the time just for the AMAZING food at Lupe Tortilla. Better than all the Mexican restaurants in our town. Their fajitas are the absolute BEST!!!! We always order their fajitas for two and split that between our family of four. More than enough food! Also, their queso is fantastic! Only negative is that their prices are pretty high, but well worth it for the food quality and quantity. Thanks Lupe!!!
Amazing food. Try the fajita beef. Service is good as well
Of my goodness. I hadn’t ever eaten here before. We came in with a large group of about 20- they staff was incredible. Gracious and helpful even in the midst of a very busy evening. (Graduation weekend at Texas A&M) Casual atmosphere- friendly. Most impressive, however, was the food. Delicious. Really delicious. Even a simple quesadilla was fresh and delightfully seasoned. My favorite was the chipotle smoked ribs. Wow. Tender and an unexpected kick. Go- you won’t be disappointed.
Charro beans and combo fajitas. They both always hit the spot in a delicious way. Their chips are good but thinner, so they break easily. Their service at this location has been good every time I’ve gone here. Parking is good. The location is directly across from TAMU, so sometimes it’s crowded. Overall: recommend!
The steak fajitas were amazing The full order was a great shareable for two.. Everything was well seasoned
Their three pepper steak is my favorite Mexican dish! I have no idea how they make the steak so juicy and tender. It is also well seasoned, mild for spicy level. All three peppers are grilled perfectly, juicy and tender inside while crispy outside. Make sure you get enough cold water or milk or tortilla if you try to eat THE three peppers. I was crying and sweating when I attempted to eat the Serrano. I don't comments on the rice or beans because I ate them quickly when I was trying to calm down.
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. I love the bean "salsa" that comes with the chips! The guacamole is also delicious. I like the chicken rejeño, but this time my son ordered their lime marinated steak, and OH MY GOODNESS! I don't think I'll ever go back! It melted in my mouth! It was incredible! Just enough flavor and seasoning without being "too much" or "too spicy". Definitely one of my favorite places to eat.
neely was our server and she’s an absolute doll, plus a hard worker! she helped with questions and did amazing on refills! managers were also so kind! will be back for those delicious beef fajitas!
The fajitas were amazing👌. Our server Sierra was great, and the staff were very welcoming. Atmosphere nice.
Love this place!! Neely was our server and was FANTASTIC! I am chronic Dr Pepper drinker and she had it filled to the top at all times. Food was delish and the managers Barbara and Avrianna were very kind as well.
The restaurant setting provided a beautiful, calm experience. It was very clean and comfortable. The food was an amazing surprise. The food was very tasty and delicious. One of the best salsas I have ever had. We will be visiting this restaurant again.
My Number One favorite restaurant in town I consider this Tex-Mex food but the (corn tortillas)are just like the ones in my dad‘s hometown in Mexico The fajita meat is always Flavorful and good quality everything on the menu is delicious I think this is one of the best restaurant in town my in my honest opinion i’ve been to a lot of Mexican restaurants, but this one is my favorite The prices are a little on the higher side, but I think it’s worth it THE BEST and they do to go margaritas I would recommend only getting one they are not stingy with their alcohol
Great service and prompt attendance to food delivery. Food is totally worth every minute we are there.
Everything is amazing when going to Lupe! The service is always amazing and I adore our two servers everytime! Mari and Nathalia!! The management is spectacular! The food is phenomenal😍😍😍.
Gracie was an awesome server and the sweetest peach! The best fajitas ever! Love the managers, Avriana and Barbara, they’re always so welcoming and helpful!
They had Coke Zero, the nachos were awesome, the waiter was so amazing because he called me boss, and me and my brother shared a plate and I still got full it was so yummy definitely coming back
Lupe's went above and beyond in every way! So impressed with them in an extremely busy game weekend!
Lauren was super quick and kind, food was Amazing and really fast! Definitely recomment the guac and that bean dip appetizer! The "spicy" isnt very spicy so I can recommend any flavor on the menu! Cant wait to come back Only con is because the quality is so good, the prices can be pretty high. But worth it!
Jesus gave me and my friends the best time the other night!!! Excellent service and food. Will be back!
This staff at this Lupe Tortilla Mexican Restaurant was courteous and attentive. The food was incredible and had very little wait once ordered. I would recommend the chicken enchiladas with green sauce. Parking is not a problem considering the massive parking area. It's big enough to accommodate an 18 wheeler tractor- trailer.
Not sure how long they have had this General Manager (Juan Son Renoj), but he’s amazing! Accommodated our group of 19 even though we didn’t call ahead. Service was great! Eddie our waiter was totally awesome! Thanks for a great night of food, fun & family time as we celebrated our daughter’s birthday.
The best Bloody Marys . Their mix is home made and is outstanding
Great restaurant. We come here several times a year and have always had great service. The food is very good too. Never have had a bad experience. Recommend.
It was super busy and took a while to get the food but our waitress still made sure to refill our drinks and refill chips and salsa. The food is delicious as always. Highly recommend eating there you haven't.
Excellent. The salsa for the chips wasn't to my liking, but after that everything was amazing. Great chicken and steak fajitas. Seriously, whatever they marinate that steak in makes it tough to stop eating. The desserts though?? On another level. My flan was the best I ever had. The churros and sopapillas were fantastic too. Ice cream was served alongside them, and was the perfect compliment. Can't wait to come back.
Walking inside Lupe's Tortilla reminded me of my grandma's house back in Mexico. All the decorations on the walls, the Christmas lights, the sombrero lamps and the iconic poster of Pancho Villa made the restaurant atmosphere very relaxing. The decorations give a colorful, festive and vivid environment to the inside of the restaurant. One can appreciate the time invested on decorating the restaurant and hope the food would not be a disappointment. The chicken cilantro pepper 🌶️ smoother with mozzarella cheese and a chile torreado was no disappointment
So I traveled over to College Station for the first time I love Mexican food so I figured I’d give this place a shot and I had a delicious burrito covered and smothered just the way I like it.The bartender was very accommodating, the place is beautiful, and I will definitely come back and eat here again.
Absolutely the best fajita's in town their home made flour tortillas are thin and light and the meat is tender and full of seasoning!
Had a great time with family and friends. The atmosphere was friendly comfortable, and enjoyable. We felt at home. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
One of our favorite places to stop in South Texas. The food is always great and the staff is on top of things. It is on the expensive side for Mexican food, but all things considered worth the price.
The food is really good. Great tasting complimentary beans and salsa, wonderfully marinated chicken, fresh and delicious tortillas - both flour and corn. The service likewise has been fantastic both times we’ve come. A great restaurant!
Prices seem a lot higher than last visit but still it is very good food.
We ate here after an A&M football game and enjoyed the fun atmosphere, large restaurant and lots of seating, and outstanding food and drinks. Our server was helpful and prompt and also our food came out quickly. I enjoyed the three dip tortilla chip appetizer in addition to the already excellent chips and salsa. I had the green chili chicken enchiladas and they were quite tasty. There are many margarita options and I enjoyed the platinum version more than the grand marnier version. I think tge grand marnier version needs more of the orange liquor in there to call it that. I can't wait to eat here again the next time I visit my son at TAMU.
Lupe Tortilla delivers top-notch Tex-Mex with fresh ingredients and generous portions. The fajitas are legendary—tender, marinated, and served sizzling hot. Don't skip the delicious, unique bean dip with the complimentary chips! Great for a family dinner, though it can be a bit pricey. Fast service and a vibrant atmosphere complete the excellent experience. Highly recommend!
I’m from out of town and I stopped at Lupe tortilla for dinner. They have the best fajitas I’ve ever had in my life. The margaritas were good and strong. Once we got there our server Ricky made me and my gf laugh a lot, and took great care of us. We also got to meet Abrianna whom recommended the fajitas we ordered. I totally recommend for everyone to stop by and try them. 100/10
Most Definitely Lupe Tortilla Mexican Restaurant In College Station Is Our Favorite Restaurant, Everything Is Just Perfect, Good Food, Excellent Customer Service And Nice Atmosphere Where You Can Talk At The Table, Was Really Nice To Go Out Couple Of Days While In College Station And Enjoy Our Dinner With Some Friends, We Will Be Back Next Time In Town… Highly Recommended.
Lupe Tortilla is a great place to eat and very family friendly. They are a family favorite when we come to visit our cousins in College station. There is a lot of funky Latin decor giving it a fun atmosphere. They have an ice cream freezer in the front with a large selection of ice creams. They have a dedicated pick up station in the front near the hostess desk station. They have a small bar area. In the back is where the family friendly space is located. Outside they have put a lot of effort into creating an amazing outdoor space. There is a multi level deck with a porch roof and a few tables that are not under cover but they have umbrellas. In addition they have portable fans - critical in this part of Texas. But on the side yard they have created a fantastic sandbox play area with four small rollercoasters and two play houses. Parent all supervision is obviously a must but it is so nice for kids to play while waiting for food. We have a 3 year old and we meet up with our cousins who have 6 kids. A table on the porch allows all the adults to visit and all the kids to play. And The Lupe Tortilla has parents covered with a small outdoor wash station with foot washing sink to rinse your kids off if they need it by the back door. The landscaping is nice and the back porch is the place to go if you have kids and like Mexican food. We had their fajitas and they are tasty!
I love the carne asada at Lupe's! Every time I come here it's the same taste. They're consistent and that's why we always come here. The queso flameado.... AWESOME!

Went there last night with family and it was okay. The enchiladas were okay and the margarita was really good. Other than that everything else was fine.

Food is not bad. The bean dip is good and the salsa is ok. Could use a little kick. Food seems fresh and hot. Not spicy. Service is ok but I think the server was trying to cover too many tables. Still looking for the good basic Tex mex food with good service. Life is a journey.
Really enjoy the food here. The service was very good. The waiter checked on us constantly. We don't eat here as often as we would like. We think it's a little pricey. But the food is good. My husband loves the fajitas, they are full of flavor and very tender. So when we do eat here it is well worth it. I always get the chicken flautas they are light and crispy and come with different dipping sauces.
Luv the food . Wish it was brighter inside. Its very hard to see the menue.
We had a larger party and had to add another seat. Our server was great and got us taken care of. The food has always been reliably good in my experience. I tried the Chicken Little this time and really liked it.
This is our go to on the weekend lunch stop with our little. The sand play area is a hit every time. The food is hit or miss as I try to get something different each time but the staff has always been very attentive with management walking around ensuring everything is OK with the guests.
I've lived here since before the restaurant opened, but today was my first visit. While the food was decent, the service was not. There are signs stating that food delivery would be slow thus lowering my expectations from the beginning. The waiter delivered our drinks and chips and after taking our order, did not return to the table for approximately 20 minutes. My drink glass ran empty and I had to hold it over my head for anyone to notice. Even then I had to walk to the bar to get my tea refilled. Will not be returning since there are numerous options for excellent Tex-Mex in the B/CS area.
Oddly shaped tacos and chalupas make for messy eating but the flavor is very good. We were served charro beans along with our chips and salsa which is also different. My second time here we had the beef fajitas, while a bit pricey they were arguably the best fajitas I've ever had. I've eaten here around 5 or 6 times and haven't had a bad dish yet.
We dined here after my step daughter's graduation 🎓 from Texas A&M!! Large party so we chose the patio. Very quiet, dark, calm restaurant. I could tell right off it was a family owned business. The set up in the inside was dinner table set up you will actually have at home! Large parties all over the restaurant then a bar area off to the side! Very personal friendly atmosphere. We had a wonderful experience.
The service was outstanding! Our waiter Noah did an amazing job. However, the food, was pretty decent. Nothing to write home about. I enjoyed my Green Chicken enchilada, it had a little spice to it and decent flavor. My fiance had the shrimp tacos, neither one of us were the biggest fans. They weren't bad but they didn't taste like Mexican food, They were very sweet and the purple cabbage gave it a weird texture. All in all, I would definitely stop in for the amazing service and try other items on the menu
This is our second time at Lupe tortilla. The first time, they had either the genie from Aladdin, magic Mike, or some other dream fulfilling person up in that kitchen. The fajitas were so good that it was better than hitting a jackpot on the slots in Vegas. So, we managed to go back again. The service is always great This time, it wasn't as dusty too. But it could be because we sat near the bar this time. We ordered the exact same stuff, ready for our dreams to come true. Instead, we were highly disappointed in the food. The chicken for the fajitas were dry. I added lime and it made it a bit better. The seasoning was like night and day compared to the first time. Neither of us really liked it, my fiance commenting that it tastes like frozen chicken put in the microwave. The steak was amazing according to my fiance. Though I personally did not enjoy it. Over all the food this time wasn't as amazing but based on the first experience it could still be a 4 star
Zero bites left. Perfect family friendly spot with DELICIOUS steak fajitas and tortillas to die for. Average marg but for zero wait and my kids and the adults to be happy... perfect spot.
We went on Cinco de Mayo and the food was delicious the service was decent. ambiance is nice.

Saw this restaurant and stopped in for dinner. Easy to find and excellent parking. Seated promptly and service during meal was excellent. Food was great.
The food is always good but the booth we were seated at had both backs broken. The people behind us kept leaning back, pushing us forward. Very uncomfortable to eat this way. It was extra noisy as well. Service was good but we will wait for a table next time. This place is really overdue for a remodel!
Used to love Lupe. We used to crave beef fajitas but this time they lacked flavor and not cooked well and are outrageous at $56/lb!!! It's not worth that at all!!!! The peice has gone up, the quality has gone down...same story..different restaurant
Taco bell at best. Margaritas are terrible and food is marginal. Won't be back.
This place is a "best-place" only if you have kids and want them to play while adults eat, and have a couple drinks!!! How does a "mexican restaurant" screw up the chips and Salsa. The chips are soooo thin you can see through them and they break with each dip and the Salsa is basically tasteless diced tomatoes. See picture: Albeit the rest of the Food is basically ok, not great. Do not ask for anything off menu, substitutions no problem with only some servers, other servers simple ignore the request. , Got kids eat in the back great kids area. Decent margaritas, well drinks and ice-cold beer. Large group, no worry, pull tables together. Parking is easy. The server Eddie never got anything wrong, and my friends would change order on the fly! This is my go-to place with grandkids but not a great meal on any level as an adult night out, or anyone really interested great food. The food is a solid "OK", period. The place is loved by many locals for a reason, so go off times or plan on a wait, regardless many people love it, I do not get it but hey if you got kids, then it's a go.
This place is very conveniently located and is now the only sit down service Mexican restaurant close to campus. But it’s priced for people who are using business accounts. My partner and I spent over $80 on two lunch meals, no drinks after tax and tip. There are no lunch specials, prepare to spend around $30-40 per person. The beef fajita is incredible, the salsa is subpar. Service is good but not worth the price.
The food was great! Our waiter was awesome! Only let down not only did they not have margaritas specials on "National Margaritas Day".. (which I do in part understand). However, the drinks had to hit/ no kick to them & this is the 1st time I've experienced this here. Maybe it was just an off day for "dranks".
chips and queso was decent. between 3 and 4 stars but rounding down. service was a bit slow at the end.
Not as good as before. service slow and was a Tues nite. They changed beans. Was more like bean soup. Not good as used to be. This location and Beaumont location dont have tableside guacamole like …
We come here pretty regularly because it is one of the few places in town with cocktails AND an area for the kids to play. Food is overpriced and not great.
Food was awful 😖 and over priced it was 3 of us and we paid 100.00 dollars not worth my time or the food
The food was good but the poor service canceled that out. We were the only customers outside, where we wanted to sit so our granddaughter could play, but we became invisible after we got our drinks and food. The waiter took our chips and beans and never brought them back or the additional drinks we had ordered. We had to move because of the ants under our feet. Also, it took a long time to get our check. As we left we saw why - the wait staff were clustered together, talking. We probably won’t return.
Restaurant Review: lupe tortilla Rating: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5) Service: ★★★★☆ (4/5) The service at lupe tortilla was commendable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and prompt in taking our orders. They made us feel welcome and were quick to address any requests we had, which enhanced our overall dining experience. Food: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5) Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the standard set by the service. The portions were disappointingly small, leaving us feeling unsatisfied after our meal. For a Tex-Mex restaurant, I expected more generous servings that reflect the hearty nature of this cuisine. Additionally, the quality of the food was lacking. The flavors were underwhelming, and some dishes seemed to be poorly executed. The plating was sloppy, which detracted from the overall appeal of the meal. A visually appealing presentation can elevate the dining experience, but here it felt rushed and careless. Atmosphere: ★★★☆☆ (3/5) The ambiance of the restaurant was decent, with a casual vibe suitable for a Tex-Mex eatery. However, the overall experience was overshadowed by the food quality. A more inviting atmosphere can only go so far without good food to back it up. Conclusion: While lupe tortilla has potential, particularly with its attentive service, the food quality and presentation need significant improvement. I hope they can refine their menu and focus on providing better portion sizes and a more appealing presentation to match the quality of their service. Until then, I may look for other Tex-Mex options that offer a more satisfying dining experience.

Tried to eat at this place today with my twin brother and friend with the same birthday; they wouldn’t accept our id’s. They claimed that since we had the same birthday we were clearly using fakes. They wouldn’t call the cops to check them and refused to serve us. We just walked our happy selves next door to Torchy’s to get much better food and drinks in a better atmosphere. Who would get fake id’s with the same birthday anyway?!?
The service was terrible, soda was flat, and we had to get the servers attention several times to even get a 1 refill. The food is way over priced for what you get; We got the small queso and it was MAYBE 1/3 a cup for 8 dollars! Then we ordered the sizzling fajitas which were 50 bucks and it was completely burned to a crisp, and half of it wasn't even edible. For the amount and quality it's just not worth it. Food took forever to get to us and it seemed like they only had 1 server for the whole restaurant
The older Hispanic host was rude to my mother when she told her my whole party had to be in the building before being seated even though we were parking. Once we came in they had a wait and the host proceeded to ask people literally behind my family who was standing right in front of her how many in their party and was not acknowledging us. Extremely disrespectful. Aside front that the food was really good and our server Eddie was great. Just made a bad experience for us starting out.
Love the food, but the service absolutely sucks. I’ve done pickup orders before and they’re very inconsistent. There’s never people at the front when I walk in and I catch myself waiting anywhere from 10-15 minutes before someone actually acknowledges me. This has happened to me several times. Also if I call them, no one answers the phone, usually have to make several calls before someone answers. The food is good but with this type of service it’s not worth it to me anymore.
Food i ordered was drenched in grease. $17 for a dish the size of my hand.
I had the worst food at this Lupe Tortilla. I had the chicken enchiladas, and there were only a few strips of chicken. The rest was melted cheese and tasted awful. I have eaten at other Lupe Tortillas before, and the food was top-notch, but this was bad. I would have been better off going to Taco Bell.
After being seated at my table, I sat down and went to scoot in my chair. The wooden seat fully lifted from the metal frame and smashed my fingers between it, breaking two of my nails and causing significant pain to the point that my hands were shaking. I waited for a server to walk by and showed her the chair and my fingers. She apologized and went to go get her manager. I had moved myself to an adjacent table by the time the manager walked over. He did not stop by my table to check on me or apologize, but I did watch him remove the chair. Nothing was comped or done to help mitigate what happened to me. By the time I had finished my food, my server had not checked on my table once and I had to wait a while before he finally stopped by so that I could ask for the check. I do not normally leave reviews as I know the food service industry isn’t always the most pleasant job, but this safety issue was handled extremely poorly. Photo of chairs for reference.
Decided to go to Lupe tortilla tonight and had the manager Martine argue with me about the tea. I mentioned that it was sour and and to please make some more. He refused so here is the bad review.
Placed a to-go order for fajitas for 4, which were supposed to be 2 pounds of meat. When I got home—30 minutes away—I opened the box and it looked like enough for maybe 2 people. Just to be sure, I weighed it. 1 pound of meat. With the onions and the tray, it barely hit 1.5 lbs. I called the restaurant to let them know, and the woman on the phone was zero help. Instead of talking to me, they kept putting me on hold—9 minutes the first time. Asked for a manager? Back on hold. No resolution. No apology. Nothing. For $150, I expected at least basic customer service, or maybe someone who could pretend to care that I got shorted half my order. Won’t be going back.
My 4 year old wanted to go to McDonald's and I should've just went there! We stopped here for a late lunch. We waited 15 minutes before a server finally came and took our drink order and we ordered a large queso. He came back and brought us the smallest queso ever and then I ordered flour beef fajita quasadillas with sautéed bell peppers and onions in it and sour cream on the side. Then i ordered my son chicken strips and fries from the kids menu. 40 minutes later, he brought my food out... only my food! Forgot to even place my son's order! My tortillas were corn instead of flour and he forgot the sour cream. He then went to place my son's order so I had to sit my food aside so I wouldn't be eating in front of him disrespectfully so my food got cold. (I didn't realize they were made with corn tortillas till after my son got his food 15 more minutes later or I would've got him to correct it.) So i asked for two boxes and scraped all of the insides of my quasadillas in a box and took his food to go since it was so hot that he couldn't eat it. Overall the place was decorated nice and I had high hopes for it but the service was horrible and also ruined us having the correct food which ruined the food as well for us. Nightmare of an experience. Also, he never came to check on our drinks or if we were okay or anything. We had to stop him as he was walking by.
The worst lupe tortilla of them all. Great service (only reason for 2 ⭐️ ) horrible management and prices for portion size. The general manager is just awful and why we won’t be back. Margaritas also went down hill.
Decided to try this place again a few weeks ago….. I wouldn’t if I were you How is this place even allowed to claim itself as a lupe tortilla? This location is the temu version at best The manager Barberra is aggressive and hostile! She should be INVESTIGATED! I have never seen this kind of behavior at any of the Lupe’s The food is over priced. It’s hit or miss on the taste but is good sometimes Margaritas taste like salsa. Small and large margaritas are the same size- we tested Service is good. If you get the curly haired brunette she is kind and attentive! Wife calls her blue eyes- can’t recall her name The Sunday bartend ray? is great and attentive too Playground is awesome if you have kids I didn’t want to write this review but it’s been weeks since we’ve been and we still can’t get over how BAD it was. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE
We have long been happy Lupe Tortillas customers but haven’t been in a while. We took our son and grandson there tonight. We were seated in a tiny booth and ordered a couple of Margaritas. They were horrible. Had the waiter take them back. My wife had a chicken taco salad. The chicken pieces were no bigger than a dime and there was an abundance of shredded lettuce. I had shrimp tacos and they were so wet that when you picked them up they just melted in your hand. Had poor service. Waited about ten minutes for a straw for our grandson’s drink. All in all it was the pitts. It’s been a little while since we have been to Lupe Tortillas and it’ll be a really long time till we return. It seems like they have substituted making mine over providing a great meal at a reasonable price.
Visited Thursday evening @ 7:15 on Move In weekend for A&M. We sat at the bar which unfortunately was extremely dirty with glasses and dishes at the service bar area as well as in line of sight just below counter. Bar top had not been cleaned off in quite sometime and took almost 15 minutes for the person working the bar to even acknowledge we were sitting there. Another employee who indicated to the other four customers sitting at the bar that he was going into management and did not know why he was at the bar, might need to have some awareness training since the entire bar area was dirty and full of dishes and glassware. Ordered Rib Appetizer and over 15 minutes later was told they were out of this. Seems like awareness on all levels as well as cleanliness needs to be something management might want to address. Now I know why you were not actually that busy at dinner time.
If you had puffy tacos at these restaurants before you will not be happy if you go to corporate store. According to the manage all the food at the corporate stores are different then what are at the franchise store. Sorry that is not the way it should be. The reason why a corporate company franchises is to make everything the same at each store to sell you the same product no matter where you go so you keep coming back to one of there franchise or corporate restaurants. Very sad that a manager at the store in college station texas does not know that. If this is what they are teaching their manager I feel sorry for them in the future.
This place has to be the worst Mexican food I have tasted in a very long time. Even the staff was quite when we brought up the flavor. The fajita beef was sour and the salsa had no flavor. The rice and beans were tasteless. Honestly, the only good thing was the tortillas. The manager passed twice and never asked is anything. I am sure it is because he knows how bad his food is. The last straw was the price. The fajita beef special was $26.74 including a drink; for that price I could have had a better meal elsewhere.
