We live in the cypress area near Houston and travelled to college station for a weekend getaway and this was our first stop after skipping breakfast and driving to our destination. Very happy we got to visit this place as the food was very good and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Food left an impact on us and we actually drove the following weekend just to eat here and drive back home 😅 Both times the staff was super friendly and I bring it up a second time because you can tell they emphasize a really high quality of service to everyone who visits here. It’s reflected on the quality of the food and how helpful the staff is. We tried a variety of dishes here and the lattes and not once did we feel like the food wasn’t good. I would 100% recommend this place to grab a bite to eat. It would probably be a weekly spot for us if it wasn’t so far.

From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff. The menu was conveniently placed on the walk, making it easy for us to browse through the delightful selection. The restaurant's open space, filled with plenty of tables and natural light, created a welcoming ambiance. We were impressed to learn that the food is made with fresh ingredients, and most items are made in-house by the talented chefs. I personally tried the strawberry beet salad, which was simply amazing. My husband ordered the Southern Benny, and he couldn't stop raving about how delicious the biscuit with gravy tasted. To complement our meal, we enjoyed a cup of perfectly brewed black coffee with a light yet fragrant aroma. Throughout our visit, the staff continued to be friendly, attentive, and sweet, adding to the overall charm of this place. It's safe to say that we fell in love with this restaurant and can't wait to return. If you're ever looking for a delightful dining spot with great food and service, I highly recommend giving Stella Southern Cafe a visit. You're sure to love it as much as we did!

Stella Southern Cafe is a great place to have a brunch with friends, or enjoy a tasty bacon and eggs plate. I enjoyed the practice of ordering before I sat down, and not having to wait to ordr. The Eggcetera was my choice because of the yellow corn grits! I sat at the counter and was surprised at how quickly the plate came. It looked sooooo good, I started eating before I took the picture!! I've travelled all over the U.S. on a motorcycle and with a tent, eating only in local places. This is the best breakfast place I've found that does it all well. The eggs were over medium, as orderd, and were perfect! This is only the 2nd place in 30 years to get the eggs right. The homemade biscuit was awesome, especially with the homemade jam. The 3 pieces of bacon were just right, cooked a little crispy, but not raw or burned. Of course, the best part was the yellow corn grits! MMMMM!!!!! They were perfectly cooked, tasty corn flavor, and hot. Again, this is only the 2nd place in 30 years to get yellow corn grits right! (White grits are just tasteless, unless something else is added.) The next time I'm passing through, I'll be sure to get some coffee. It also smelled great!

I went there with my child and we had a very good experience. Food was awesome. I got the shrimp and grits which was very good. My daughter got the chicken and French toast biscuits. Chicken was awesome biscuits were not my favorite, but I don’t think it was any strike against the chef I just think it was not for me. Service was awesome. Next time we’re in college Station we will go back.

Best Brunch in Aggieland! If you’re seeking authentic southern hospitality and comfort foods, Stella Cafe delivers. Every time I enter the restaurant, I feel like I’m visiting a familiar friend. The staff is exceptionally welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. The cuisine is phenomenal! As a Chef and culinary arts teacher, it’s challenging to impress me with Brunch. However, Stella Cafe consistently exceeds my expectations with every visit.

We picked this place based on the local reviews, pictures, and because they served Beignets. It's a stand in line to order rather than a get seated first kind of place. The food was good but a little pricey for an 'order at the counter' type restaurant, but that could also be why we didn't have a single waiter. We had several different people come help us each time we had to ask for something. But everyone was happy to help we just had to ask anyone whenever we could get their attention. We're not from the area so we weren't familiar with this restaurants style of service needles to say as we waited a good while for anyone to come over to ask us if we wanted anything to drink we even joked around that we weren't leaving whomever our server is a good tip at first but ended leaving possibly the manager or owner with a better than normal tip approx 30% I guess we should've asked for water also while we were ordering at the counter. It wasn't that busy in there but the one waitress on the floor walked by our table several times before we had to stop her to ask for some water. Than later a kind man from the back brought out our food, and after that we had to stop different people for any help. But at the end of our meal I believe she may have been manager or owner cause she stepped up to assist with any further service. Other than that we did receive fair enough service overall. And the Beignets were delicious but the best was the Gingerbread Chai Latte that we ended up also getting two more to go 😀

The huevos rancheros with pulled pork were delicious. The {Southern} Benedict was also very good. Everything came hot & fresh from the kitchen and was nicely presented. The fantastic staff was very friendly and didn't let my coffee mug run dry! The bright and airy dining room was nicely decorated and provided a great atmosphere. The owner has a degree from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, and the value of that education definitely shows.

Everything was really nice & I'd be happy to go again if in the area.

Great food and service. Only down side is there is usually a long wait but always worth it.

Finally got to eat there... Always a line! Food was good. I got the chicken and waffles. Chicken strips were amazing!! Waffles were smashed and fried biscuits, which was different, but good. The black pepper infused syrup was very spicy! If you don't like spicy, ask for regular syrup!

I was happy to see several gluten free options! I had the Huevos Rancheros… the spice was intense! Other plates at our table were Biscuits and Gravy, oatmeal, and a standard plate of eggs, bacon, and grits. Everyone was happy with their choices.

Hotspot for locals. My companion’s meal (country Bennie?) looked beautiful and tasted great. Instead of hollandaise sauce on the eggs, Benedict, they use country gravy. My scrambled eggs were way overdone. Way too busy for me. we were able to place our order, but we couldn’t sit down. Frequently, there’s a line out the door. Stimulus overload for me. However, there is a beautiful covered patio to the side where it seems a little bit quieter.

This fast-casual spot, while boasting a 'Southern' name, offers a somewhat confusing dining experience. The counter service, complete with requesting a tip, feels odd, and the lack of follow-up service after receiving your order number was disappointing. I believe in tippin' for good service, but ain't nobody been waitin' on me hand and foot at that counter. My biscuit with ham, eggs, and gravy was tasty, though not particularly special. My partner found her biscuit sausage egg and cheese sandwich, which was a little underdone. The sausage was pink in the middle, and the potatoes were a little on the hard side and lacked any flavor. While the food was decent, the prices felt a bit high for the overall experience. I wouldn't count out Stella's Southern Cafe, but I really wouldn't go out of my way for it either.

The staff are good and quick. The food is subpar. Ordered the Eggcetera with bacon plus sausage patty. Biscuit was ok, the jam was good, the eggs were cooked sunny side up properly but the bacon was leathery and chewy as was the sausage patty. I love bacon and sausage but I could not finish the plate. And this plate with pecan coffee and fresh OJ including 20% tip costed little over $40. Ill tell you this: had this meal cost the same as an iHop breakfast, it would still not have tasted as good as iHop… and iHop isn’t even good. I don’t understand why this has so many stars. The attached image is what I could not finish.

Biscuits were dry, sausage gravy was too thick (see picture), eggs were over cooked, bacon was chewy, the water was smelly, and overall everything was expensive! Go to Another Broken Egg, Snooze, or Mess Waffles instead - or literally anywhere else in Cstat. The service wasn’t great either. The only thing they had going for them was the strawberry jam.
