Tasty wings(meaty), good atmosphere, good prices, and a great variety of daily specials!
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, good food!
Best wings in town, very good dry rub!
This is a great location. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Love Love
The french fries are delicious ! I’ve had the burgers and chicken nuggets also and I would recommend both. The atmosphere is relaxing and the staff is friendly. Soon to be a Northgate tradition !! Also dog friendly !!
Best place to be on Northgate! Awesome Staff! The food comes out delicious and on time! Great place to chill at during the day and has a good crowd at Night! Definitely the Spot to be at.
No cover fee, 18+, one of the best places to go and just hang out with friends
Good and fun place and good and fun other friends and family and students. And yummy food too.
Awesome food, chill atmosphere, and fun staff. Definitely a top hangout place.
Such a fun place to hang out with friends, and they have delicious drinks!!!! Workers are so nice!!
Couldn’t love this place anymore!! Great for events and just a casual night drinking and the dj sets they have are awesome!!
The spot is an establishment where you can eat, drink, and catch a sporting event. The staff is kind and hard working.
Great prices on excellent food. Best mixed drink prices I have seen Will return
Good food at reasonable prices. Awesome giant mimosas for brunch!
Love the food at the spot! Burgers are so good I recommend for sure
to put it simply, this is the spot indeed. an exquisite establishment that earns every dollar I’ve put in.
The best burgers around. Good drinks and friendly staff.
Great food and service!! I'll keep coming back for those big specialty drinks!!!
Great food, service, and atmosphere!! I've been 3 times since they opened and have had a wonderful experience each time. Chicken and waffles for brunch was definitely my favorite, but I also loved the chicken sandwich and fried appetizers that I've gotten other times. There's so much seating for groups to hang out and also a fun date night spot. Drinks are yummy. Everything is priced very reasonably!! The staff is always ready to help serve you and you can tell they're working hard. Even on a busy game weekend the staff was very attentive and helpful. I will definitely be back!!
So far I have tried the Eggs Benedict, Chicken Fried Chicken, Steaks and Turkey Legs at The Spot. All of it was very well prepared and exceeded the level of food you find at most other restaurants in that area. The seating and generous amount of TVs everywhere made it easy to enjoy all the football games on without worrying about where to sit. The cocktails were refreshing and liked that I was able to buy pitchers of beer instead of having to get refills regularly.
My family went in on opening day and even though it was busy the food came out fast, servers were friendly, and loved the atmosphere! The burgers are huge and delicious, the Texas Cheese Steak was a little messy (on my part) but great, and the turkey leg that my grandson would not share so we had to sneak a bite is highly recommended! LOTS of TV's so you will never miss a game!!
Was looking for a place I had been to a few years ago to stop in for lunch and check it out again. It was now called, "The Spot". I had the Monday special for 50% off: 8oz ribeye steak with fries for ONLY $6.50! Such a deal! Even at regular price, it would have been an awesome deal because it was so-o-o incredibly good! Wood-fired grilled steak; awesome. Hand-cut fries; awesome again. So delicious. Great service too. Great casual Texas-themed atmosphere. I/We'll be back for sure.
Love this place! Awesome atmosphere, tons of options when it comes to food, so i'm sure you can find something to fall in love with! The staff is always friendly and will bend over backwards to ensure that your order is made to perfection! Lastly, the drinks....THE DRINKS ARE AMAZING! I would personally give this place 10 stars, unfortunately....they only let me give 5!
Let me tell you about this burger. The Spot Burger is ruining my wife and my lives. The first time we ordered this burger, we decided to split it. What a horrible decision. By the end of each of our halves, we found ourselves disappointed that we didn't just order our own. Literally every day, until I returned 2 weeks later, I thought and dreamed about the next time this burger would grace my tastebuds with its smokey, delicious presence. In all seriousness, it may be the best burger I've ever had. They are pet friendly and the staff was eager to give our pitbull lovin. 10/10 would recommend this establishment.
My wife and I love this bar! Great drink specials, the best music, and always a blast to come here on Texas A&M game days!
Your “grill and chill” type of place that just opened recently. It’s a neat environment where you can grab a bite to eat and chat with friends both inside or on the patio (dogs are allowed on the patio). I’ve visited the business a few times since it’s opening and have been pleased with the service!

I had the Hangover Burger for Brunch Pretty good Stuff 👍
Ok...but it's a college town.
Employees are awesome and friendly with quality service... Management, however, could stand to learn something from them.
The Spot is a fun place, but a staff member was really rude to my friend and me, which was off-putting and made me want to leave.
Mixed reviews around our table about the food. They also don’t serve coffee with their brunch, just FYI!
Lots of fighting
We waited on our food for over an hour, our original server only came to our table once. The manager inisisted she would come back for our order, she didn’t. Another server came back to our table, took our order. She brought it out and was polite, but the food did not meet my expectations. I was really wanting to like this place but the service was too slow and the food was very mediocre, especially for the wait.
If you tryna go here after the kitchen closes then don't bother. The line is virtually non-existent, bouncers are completely useless as they cant organise the people coming in and pay no mind to the fact that some people brazenly cut in front of others waiting in the actual line, management decides to charge cover fees at its discretion, and once I get in I find that its often too crowded for me to have a good time or talk to new ppl. Sure the giant margs are nice spot might be a good restaurant, but they are still a restaurant. That said go spend your time at literally any other bar in Northgate or hit up the frats bc the spot provides a VERY badly executed nightlife concept

Boyfriend’s brother went there last night and got told he was “in the wrong section” while he was trying to walk through the crowd. Bouncer grabbed him and shoved him out of the bar. He woke up this morning with bruises on his arm from the bouncers manhandling him.
Cannot rate the food unfortunately as they said the kitchen was closed. I went in at 3:30 PM for Sunday "Brunch". Sign says they are open until 4 pm for brunch. Would I go back, no, probably never, not for food or anything- Sheriff's deputies were questioning someone on property, also.

Rude and mistreated
The worst experience.
Do not get the shrimp and grits. It’s literally the size of an appetizer. Def not worth 10 dollars of food. This ain’t some serious gourmet type delicacy
They won't let you pee inside unless you pay them $10. Maybe get some porta potties outside
Monday night on 10/21/24, I went to this place with a group of friends and had a good time in the begging, but towards the end, I accidentally went to the wrong restroom and the bar tender (short with brown/black hair) was very rude and started pushing me and hitting me as soon as I was trying to leave that restroom. There were no labels on the restroom at all and so the bartender is racist and kicked me out of the bar because I accidentally when to the wrong restroom. Overall, this place is racist and would never ever go here again.
Night version and daytime version of this place is very different. Night time version- typical North Gate spot. Day time version- awful. Order lunch here on Sunday and the staff was just out of it. Was brought 3 different orders, none of them were mine, the cook came out to retake my order and it took another 30 minutes to come out. When the correct order (breakfast tacos) did come out, I was only give 1 of the 2. There were less than a dozen other people there and other costumers were constantly walking back inside to the bar to check on their food as well. You might be wondering if bar service is just as bad? Well a gentleman walked in and sat at the bar and ordered 1 drink. Took him 15 minutes to receive it as the bartenders walked around aimlessly. The only upside to coming here was Bacardi was doing some promotional drinks and I got a free t-shirt out of it. 10/10 don't come here during the day for food or drinks.
Went for Sunday brunch, the place was practically empty. I ordered french toast with eggs/bacon, and a breakfast taco. After waiting 45 minutes the waitress delivered my food but half my order was missing; no breakfast taco, no eggs. Waitress apologized and said the kitchen had a late start and that the cook went to the bathroom. Had to ask her for silverware, and then ask for silverware again because the first set was dirty. Waited another 15 minutes for the rest of the food and then left with a refund.
Went in on a Sunday just looking for something to eat and maybe have a couple beers, and watch the football games after a long night of drinking the night before. Instead the menus they had up, they were no longer serving and when I asked what I could order they said they would change the screen which took at least 30 minutes and when it did change it was a drink menu. Then they gave their one and only paper menu out and apparently never got it back. The employees seem more interested with talking to people they know and then helping the customers. Just terrible service. Probably alright if you know someone there but if not don’t waste your time.
We went one Sunday for brunch with mild expectations, and left with one of the worst service experiences we’ve ever had. The place wasn’t packed, they were mildly busy but the menu was very limited and seemed like it wouldn’t take long for service. We were told to sit wherever and a server would come to our table. It took over 15 minuets just to get a menu, and the only reason we got one was because we went back inside for one. We then waited another 15+ minutes and still had no service, we went in to ask and had to order at the counter. After ordering, we waiting another hour and still got nothing. We saw tables who got their food in 20 Minutes, while we had been there for over an hour and a half. They must’ve been making our food on an easy bake oven because we ordered eggs and pancakes. After waiting and hour and a half and receiving absolutely nothing, we asked for a refund and they didn’t even know how to locate the check in their server. They asked if we remembered how much our total was even though the computer was in front of them. By far one of the worst service experiences we’ve ever had. When this place was Blackwater Draw the management was much better.
Went here with 2 friends expecting a fun and delicious Sunday Brunch and got the exact opposite. For starters, the women’s bathroom was something out a horror movie but i’ll spare you the details. There was no toilet paper and no trash can for your paper towels after you washed your hands. We each ordered tacos and sat down at our table which was covered in some sticky residue (we heard other tables complaining of the same thing.) We waited over an hour for our food and we’re delivered half our order and the waiter seemed to be unaware that some of us didn’t get our entrees and then said they’d be right out. Once all of us had eaten our appetizer then came out. Not only was the service absolute garbage but the food was horrible, cold, bland and looked like it was made from some HEB ingredients and heated up in a microwave. After almost 2 hours we left without eating any of our food.
Arguably some of the worst service I have ever experienced. It took an absurd amount of time to receive our food. When they finally came to our table the server seemed to be unaware that he only brought out half our order. The appetizers came out after the entrees were already finished. The food was cold, bland, and all around unimpressive. I will not be returning to or recommending this restaurant. Also, the women’s restroom was a disaster that clearly had not been attended to in who knows how long. No toilet paper, not even a trash can to toss out paper towels?
The service was absolutely horrible, I would comment on the food but we waited over an hour and a half for food that never arrived and the excuse being made was that the kitchen was backed up. Even though multiple orders came out that had been placed after ours. After my initial complaint was made to the manager after an hour of waiting I was told that our ticket was the 2nd in-line. With that being said I sat down with the thought that our meal would arrive soon. But after seeing more food coming out of the kitchen and waiting another 20 minutes I was given the same excuse that the kitchen was backed up. The only positive side was that we were refunded our check after about 10 minutes of the manager searching for our order. However we waited an hour and a half for breakfast that never arrived and didn’t seem to be arriving anytime soon.
Chicken and waffles= 3 slices of smooshed ego waffles cut in half (total of 3 little triangles) and one chicken tender cut in half. For $9 Pancakes=two crepe like “pancakes” (super ridiculously thin), and powdered eggs yum!! Also, no coffee and even their water tasted like water downed tequila. Definitely, do not recommend.
