We go twice a week for blizzard and pup cups. Staff is always friendly and and service is quick. They get orders right and move the lines along at a more than reasonable pace.
Stop selling imitation shrimp with poop. They stinks and gave us stomach discomfort. When ask to get something else they refuse and later gaves us 3 mini chicken fingers for kids. And the manager had a tone and a bad attitude. Never again is not worth it
The people who make their blizzards here are truly magical. I picked up a confetti cake blizzard with Heath bar topping, and it was extraordinarily delicious.

Just left there about 30 minutes ago. Went through the drive-thru to get two Blizzard's and a shake. I wanted a frozen hot chocolate initially, but was told the machine is down. The person taking the order was very apologetic and professional about it so I understood and, instead, got my shake. Overall, very happy with this location on the rare occasion I get to go - I don't travel that way frequently as I am 30 minutes away. I rarely have any problems and on the random occasion I do it is always handled in a professional manner.

The restaurant itself is clean, and the vibe is casual, making it a great place to swing by after class as a UAlbany student . What really stands out though is the customer service. Fateima , who works the counter, always greets me with a smile and has such a positive attitude. She’s super helpful when I’m undecided about what to order, giving me great suggestions without rushing me, which I really appreciate as a student with a limited budget and limited time.
I hadn't had DQ ice cream in years. I had a hot fudge sundae and the fudge was indeed hot and fudge, not chocolate syrup. My wife's butter finger flurry had real butter fingers in it. Now if they would just give the vanilla soft ice cream more vanilla flavor ...
Was craving a simple soft served ice cream with a little flair, and I got exactly that. Vanilla cone dipped in a butterscotch shell, so good. A medium only set us back a little over $4, but I'd have paid $6 for this no questions asked. Service was also quick, knocking out a line of 5 cars in less than 5 minutes. Now that's fast. Great way to end a day.

My parents just told me that this was here a couple of months ago. Thrilled to have a DQ around again. Staff is so pleasant and very helpful all the time. The food is great and then there is the ice cream! Heaven in a bowl! I always ordered the Peanut Buster Parfait as a kid and still do.

The food wasn't bad. A little expensive but I was in Albany so it doesn't surprise me. Blizzard was good, it was raspberry cheesecake. I recommend! The table I sat at was weirdly right near a door which people kept going in and out of which was annoying but that could have been avoided if I didn't choose to sit there lol.
Store was clean, well lit and comfortable. Service was friendly, order was filled correctly and quickly. My Reese's PB Cup Brownie Blizzard was tasty. Mid-grade stuff, but what I expected from a chain. Just enough nostalgia to make me happy. A nice place for a quick ice cream stop.
I love Dairy Queen ice cream! However this trip my blizzard would have fallen on the counter had the team member flipped it upside down like they normally do. It was quite melted. I decided to be understanding as the place was filled with customers. So we didn’t ask for new blizzards we just left with our soft ones and ate quickly before they became milkshakes. This has never happened before so I will continue to make my monthly trip for my favorite ice cream.
I purchased the honey bbq chicken strip meal. Was interesting to find 2 half-slices of half-toasted bread in with the strips and fries. Overall the meal was delicious, but a little overpirced for what you get (almost $13), next time I think I will get the original strip meal with BBQ dipping sauce. That one comes with some ice cream as well, and is less expensive than the meal I bought.
Went here for the first time yesterday. The deep-fried cheese curds and flame thrower double bacon burger tasted great. Unfortunately, they seem to be the victim of a lack of help. The girl at the register was very nice and patient dealing with the rude customers. We just wish they had the orange Julius the website said they have.
Everything was good except my onion rings were over fried to where the breading was coming off and the onion was chewy,blizzards are the best!
This store location is kept very clean. They pride themselves on friendly and fast service. The burgers are not the greatest and the food has flavor but dry. All you can drink is a plus and the ice cream , which they are known for, taste great! Definitely a summer visit for sure!
I like this place and its good most of the time but Monday june 23rd 2025 around 9:30 pm i waited 12 minutes in line and when i finally received my order my shake was almost like it's warm and not fully mixed with clumps at the bottom, been great any other time.
I believe this DQ is new, which may explain the 18 minute wait time for a burger. Maybe some kinks need to be worked out. The place was clean, and had an updated look and feel on the inside. The food, when it got to me, was hot and tasted great. I'll be back, but not if I'm in a hurry.

I ordered banana split ($7 include tax). There are lots of cream on top, which makes it look nice but unhealthy. It is quite heavy in cholesterol etc, but there are banana, strawberries and some other fruit (from tin can), I would say trying once is fine but probably will not try the second time. This shop is located in Colonie, Albany and there are several fast food chain nearby, such as Dunkin Donuts and McDonalds.

Restaurant was clean, I was only person in restaurant and drive thru was empty. 18 minutes after I ordered I got my warm yet tasty $26 food order and waited another 10 for my Blizzard.
I absolutely love Dairy Queen and before I went to Dairy Queen I haven’t been in probably 10 years. The food was amazing but the service could definitely use some work. The lady that helped me and my family had her airpods in and rolled and closed her eyes as we were ordering like she was annoyed. I don’t appreciate that behavior and definitely think that needs to be talked about. Other than that, everything is fine.
Ordered on the app and it said ready at 330pm. I show up on time and get behind the one other person who did a mobile order as there’s a separate line. The one person running the front was taking orders from customers about 10 minutes before she was able to get to us. Her ice cream wasn’t made which is OK cause it probably would’ve melted if we were late but it was another 10 minute waitby then the food isn’t exactly as hot as it was. Please hire some staff so this poor person isn’t stressed all day. Food and blizzards were tasty and the place was nice and clean
On a Tuesday night this place was hoppin’. It was fully staffed, but between eat in, take out, and Door Dash the wait was long. My wife and I ordered medium cones that were essentially small servings in larger sized cones. My wife wanted a twist, but settled for all chocolate when we were informed that the vanilla needed “more time to freeze.” Overall a let down.
Taste of ice cream is great but they took so long to make the order there was no organization. They were struggling trying to handle drive thru, uber eats and inside orders at once with barely any staff at the time. I saw people that came in waiting on the line for 10 mins or so walk out because it was taking too long.
The food is good here but the Drive thru experience is not a pleasant or friendly experience. Train your workers to be nicer to the customers. I come here specifically for my Special Needs Client who is afraid of public places and sometimes we have to do the drive threw. I would appreciate better service from your employees. Thank you.

We waited for almost 30 minutes to get assistance and when we finally got the assistance I ordered a banana split ordered partner ordered a vanilla dipped in what she thought was cherry flavored chocolate hard shell but turned out to be some cherry flavored shell and it was so ugly. The whole ice cream wasn't evenly covered still had bare spots.

The food was delicious, but the service was lacking. They messed up two of our drinks and forgot part of our order. When we made them aware, they did apologize and remedy the error. The drive thru had no waiting, and our order took less than 5 minutes to make so service was quick.
We ordered 4 mini blizzards. We waited a few minutes before someone even took our order, even though the workers were standing near the counter. Completely ignored us. In terms of our order, we had 1 which was incorrect. We tried to tell the girl what we ordered as she was handing it to us, but must not have heard us as she had her ear bud in. She then handed us the wrong blizzard, told it was not right, whipped it into the garbage. Fortunately, one of the other girls heard and remade the blizzard for us. What an experience for mini blizzards!
A Haunting experience. One day around Halloween, a day prior to going up to Fright Fest at Six Flags Great Escape, I had a yen to try some Dairy Queen burgers and a Blizzard for the first time, to my recollection. We got to Dairy Queen without incident, but immediately had issues when trying to enter. We had a difficult time opening the main door. There was like pressure somehow that made it difficult to pry open. When we finally got the door open, we heard something weird like we let out the souls of the damned. We waited in line and ordered with relative ease. There were a few awkward moments that are probably not worth writing about. We opted to dine-in vs. take-out and was only the 2nd table occupied. The restaurant worked had a difficult time finding us despite us sitting in front of the registers. She went to the first table, and they said it wasn’t them, and then she started calling our table’s number, but we didn’t hear her. We found it funny she couldn’t find the only other table that was occupied, but then again we didn’t hear her either. We got the food, and it tasted good, although the burgers tasted just like Burger King. I wasn’t sure if others knew about this so I looked it up and all I will say is IYKYK about the Burger King and the Dairy Queen! The food was tasty and priced good. I was later brought my Blizzard served upside down, but I wasn’t sure why - I had to ask my friend. Before we left, we heard one of the workers talk about her medical diagnoses including lice which made me feel ill, but we already ate, so there wasn’t much more we could do about that at the time. Later at Six Flags, I experienced some intestinal distress but I’m not sure if it was from the Dairy Queen or the Cracker Barrel, which could be a review for another time.
If you come here for an after dinner treat, you might be in for a show. This was our first and last time at this DQ location. Right after taking our order and payment, our server (drive-thru) started yelling and fighting with someone inside the restaurant. She even took off her shoe (gross). There were four employees wandering around, yet no one was making our food, watching the drama take place. We waited over 10 minutes at the window (no one else was being served). The girl who took our order started dressing down, and she went outside to continue the altercation. The poor girl left inside was clueless, she made our order, incorrectly, and finally gave it to us. When we were leaving, we saw the girl who took our food still arguing with other females in the parking lot. Not only was our server’s behavior unprofessional, but there didn’t appear to be any management or structure for any of the employees inside.
Always a longer wiat then you would expect. Orders are constantly wrong. Staff is very unprofessional. They treat the food delivery people terribly.
When you walk into Dairy Queen and are immediately hit with the unmistakable aroma of Eau de Marijuana No. 5 wafting from behind the counter, you just know you’re in for a culinary adventure. I ordered a $5 combo and a $5 sundae. The total? A bold and innovative $16. A quick math lesson later, we got that sorted — although it felt like we had just taught quantum physics to someone who thought “combo” meant “confusion.” My cheeseburger combo came cheeseless — a bold move, redefining what it means to serve a cheeseburger. As for the chocolate sundae we apparently didn’t order, we received it anyway, complete with a heartfelt apology for… giving us what we ordered? Or maybe not. Honestly, I lost the plot somewhere between the munchies and the mystery sauce. All in all, it was a magical journey through poor customer service and questionable sobriety. If you like your food served with a side of disorientation, this is your spot. 10/10 would recommend — if only to feel better about your own job.
Went through the drive thru. Ordered one original single cheeseburger received one extremely hot plain burger patty. Ordered two Cokes received two diet Cokes. The other food we ordered, cheese curds and crispy onion burger came out correctly but dry, as if sitting under a heat lamp for far too long. Overall disappointing experience. Would not return. The only positive was the lady who took our order was very friendly.

The service at this Dairy Queen is terrible. We love the ice cream cakes, but even grabbing one from the pre-made case I've waited 30+ minutes to be rung up. went through the drive thru tonight. Waited in line a ridiculous amount of time. Finally get up to the windo about 15 minutes later. The guy (assuming he was new) looks completely lost. He says "vanilla/twist"? I said "no. I ordered a strawberry sundae on twist". He looked at me like he had never heard of a strawberry Sunday before. Then he goes to hand me the sundae with no lid on it.. Strawberry's falling all over the place. I asked him to put a lid on it. He literally couldn't even do that. Why does it even have to be asked. I'm at the drive through they order is TO GO! Do better dairy queen. Either get more staff or train the employees you have to do their job correctly. I'm not sure why a manager wasn't available to help the guy who clearly had no idea what he was doing. Won't be going back there any time soon. oh and by the way. The kid said he rang me in for just a plain twist dish of ice cream but the total always $6.90. If that's what they charge for a plain cup of ice cream it's appalling. Ordered two of the $7 meal deals and asked to upgrade from a sundae to a blizzard. Was rung in as a mini blizzard instead of a small. Cost an extra .40 cents over the $2 for the meal. Didn’t get upset, just said it was a learning experience. When I pointed the mistake out, the staff member said they were sorry. And that was it. No let me get you the small that you wanted. You paid extra for less so it sucks to be you. Not looking for anything free, just what we had wanted to order.
Spent 20 dollars, waited a half hour in the freezing cold for it, went inside, no acknowledgement from staff. Couldnt wait any longer for food cause I had to leave to go back to work. Enjoy the free 20 bucks, it's the last you'll ever get from me.
Recently the place has just fallen apart. The Menu is twice the price, and service half the quality.
After ordering 4 meals and given only 1 BBQ sauce, I went back up to the counter and asked for 1 more BBQ sauce. I was told by the manager that it will be 64 cents. It's not about the 64 cents, being that I spent spent over $30 in food. 1 BBQ will cause me to never eat at another Dairy Queen establishment. Again, it's not the 64 cents. It's the principle of them being so dam cheap.
We stopped here as we have three more hours in our drive back home to Massachusetts and we figured this would be better than stopping at McDonald's. Unfortunately, we were incorrect. The cashier was kind but also on her phone. A gentleman who was ten orders before me, didn't get his food and the response was "whoops". I ordered two cheese burgers and a bottled water. Didn't get the water until I asked give five minutes later. My girlfriend got a burger, fries and a drink which came out quickly. After fifteen minutes, someone asked me if I wanted to order something and told them I had already ordered and the response again was "Oops". In addition a worker from Dunkin stopped by, ordered, got all of her food and left after having a 5+ minute conversation at the register with whom I'm assuming to be the manager. The Dunkin employee also just walked into the kitchen and no one said a thing, came out, get her food and go. Lastly, when the food finally came out, the waitress came out with the tray and proceeded to walk it to a table on my behalf when I tried to take it from her, she let me know after she placed it down on a table, that it was a directive from her manager and part her job. I would prefer my food come out quickly than someone take my tray for me I've over someone taking my tray for me. My girlfriend also never got her diet Coke.
My first time eating at this Dairy Queen and what a HORRIBLE experience. I’m from out of state working. I used uber eats and once my order was delivered to me I noticed my chicken strips were uncooked and raw.. smh. That’s UNACCEPTABLE. I called to complain and was told to reorder or call back the next day… Like REALLY?? The one manager there didn’t seem to be all too concerned with my serious complaint at all.. SMH.. IDK if it’s just young kids or lack of good customer service.. Glad I’m leaving town.. DO BETTER before you’ll get people sick.
First and last time ever at this restaurant. I ordered a original cheeseburger and it was not even EDIBLE! It was like a a microwaved hockey puck with ketchup and mustard all over bun burger was tossed in trash. So, I have come the conclusion that either the management is Incompetent and does not care about quality that it served? Or other workers obviously don't not care either. I understand this is fast food but at least try to put out a edible product!
IF I COULD RATE THIS A ZERO, THEN I WOULD. Although the cashier was friendly, the rest of the staff was very lazy and on their phones. When I asked one of the employees about my order, which had been taking 35 minutes to make, She rolled her eyes at me and acted like I was inconveniencing her. All of them were standing around, so no wonder my food was never made. I had to go out of my way to ask one of the employees to make it and that’s when they finally did. We got the chicken strip basket and they barely gave any fries. Not to mention, I’m pretty sure toast was supposed to be in the basket and I didn’t get that either. This is the worst Dairy Queen I’ve ever been to and I don’t recommend. I will never be coming back here again!

My wife, mother in law, and I went here for dinner tonight. We did get there about an hour before closing, however, we were here the night before and they were pretty fast, so we thought it would be okay. It was quite busy. And before I go on, I want to point out that this place was SEVERELY understaffed. We waited quite some time before we were able to place our order and then we sat down and waited. And waited. And waited. Finally at 10:35, we got our food. At EXACTLY 11:00 on the dot, a man with a drive thru headset comes to our table and tells us with a rushed tone, that the store is closed, we need to go, it's 11:00 and that he will clean up after us. Mind you, we are finishing up. My mother in law had maybe 5 spoonfuls of her blizzard left. Out of the corner of my eye I see him literally standing at the garbage area by our table, WATCHING US. Look. All three of us work in retail. We know what it is to want to go home and have some jerks dilly dallying around after closing. But we got our food late, and we weren't lingering to be "those" customers. We were finishing up and we're going to be done in 5-10 minutes max, if that. Seriously, the way he handled the situation was unwelcoming, uncomfortable, and honestly, it was rude. A gentle reminder that the store was closing would have been sufficient. Instead, he chose to rush us out, and it left a bad taste in our mouths. Not sure if we'll return unless desperate.
Don't order ice cream cakes online. I placed an order for a cake that I needed for a birthday, but when I arrived at the store, the employee seemed confused, as if they didn’t even take online orders. They claimed there was no record of my order and added that, even if it had been placed, they wouldn’t have been able to fulfill it. On top of that, the cakes available in the store were poorly decorated. I just don’t want others to waste their time.
I ordered a cookie dough cake batter blizzard and. Heath bar blizard. When it came out I got two heath bars and for some reason it was on my receipt as two heath bars. So the cashier guy just said "sorry 🤷♂️" and kept gaslighting me saying "you said two heath bars".

Ordered fish sandwich asked to have order freshly made. Marty, J/ Manager response to my request was everything here is made fresh to order! with an attitude. I got my order when I pulled the sandwich out of the bag it was so hot I could barely pick it up…the lettuce 🥬 was completely dead and steaming hot. The bread was super soggy and the fish was very wet and smooshy. As if they heated the entire sandwich up in the microwave. This location needs an over haul of positive vibes before it’s too late. Just from my observation the employees as well as the manager has a whole a lot of attitude and doesn’t care how your food is made.
Ordered ahead and they forgot one of the meals. Drove back to the store and dealt with attitude from one of the employees who couldn’t be bothered to fix their screw up and dumped it on another employee. Sadly not a first time for employee rudeness. Food is sub par.
The management here must be awful. We walked in an hour after opening and couldn't find one employee in sight. No one behind the counter or the kitchen. We waited over ten minutes, well long enough to have figured out our orders and given it a second and third thought. Finally I started calling out for anyone who might be even closely related to a DQ employee, started walking behind the counter and I made my way all the way to the managers office before finding an employee who seemed more frustrated that I walked behind the counter than being frustrated by their own poor service forcing me to walk around and call out for people. I have to say it was the weirdest and worst experience at a fast food restaurant I've ever had and for this reason alone I'll never be returning to this location.
I order a 3 pcs chicken tenders with fries …… i got basically a kids meal it probably wasn't enough fries in there for a kid i was asking to order a side of cheesecake bites and they kept telling me they don't do that but charge me for a whole sundae and the cheesecake bites they don't sell sides of i also didn't even get the small sundae i paid $5.19 but hey i just wont go back
Waited 35 minutes for 2 shakes. Ended up getting a refund. Cant even imagine how unsanitary they are considering they can’t even get food out in a timely fashion. Hire new staff.
It had a musty smell almost left being from Maine let’s try it after getting our food fries were cold looked around place wasn’t very clean went to the rest room awful looking 👀 threw the food away they should close that place went to a d q in concord n h it was fabulous clean and inviting good luck with that dump in Colonie New York grade E Mike from beautiful Maine 🇺🇸
My family just ordered in DQ Central Avenue in Drive thru. While I was placing the order, the crew member (NAYA) rudely interrupted me and told me to slow down. I apologized and never heard a response in 4-5 mins. If my wife didn’t say hello, we wouldn’t hear anything. Then she asked me again, what do I want. Thinking that she didn’t get the 1st meal that I gave her. I told her again my order but she annoyingly responded that she already has it. When we were already in the window, we waited again few minutes for our food. No explanation nor apologies. The crew members were just chatting and works so slow as if they don’t want to work. My wife saw the guy in the fryer just warmed our burger through microwave. Then we waited again for few minutes for our drinks.. just for 2 sodas!! no apologies or explanation! The fries taste weird, no syrup on the sundae, warmed burger thru microwave. My family were really disappointed to the service. My wife asked the order taker’s name and she said her name is NAYA. The crew members should just resign if they don’t want their work! WORST SERVICE EVER!! HORRIBLE!!
I didn’t even get the chance to eat anything how do you advertise a 4pc chicken strip basket that comes with fries toast and sauce of choice for $7.49 but is ringing up a different price and when confronted about it employees being rude and distasteful…also I was standing at the counter for 10 minutes waiting for someone to come take my order let’s not mention I’m 8 months pregnant feet swollen and I’m just getting stared at by the cook behind the counter…this place went downhill completely and honestly needs a bunch of help/renevations…bathroom is absolutely disgusting I can only imagine what their kitchen/ freezer sections looks like they probably have bugs….there was feces that hardened on the surface of the toilet it smelled like absolute sewage in this establishment I am completely appalled by his being that they should be up to code. Health inspector needs to come shut this place down for at least a week.
We waited in line 10 minutes ordered 2 large twist on plain cone.waited another 10 minutes was told no twist available we could either have vanilla or chocolate. Waited another 10 minutes received small serving in large cone. Several other customers were waiting and their orders were wrong. As we were leaving heard the girl at counter say they were out of ice cream…really at 2 in the afternoon
Peices are high and the food presentation is the worse. Have been here many times and every time the food is put together sloppy. Poor presentation, get staff that care a bit Update- went back today 3/26/21- the woman at the window was very nice, the woman behind her was not. My order was supposed to be $20, they only charged $10. I said that is not enough, the other woman was very rude and said that's the right price. Then she gave me a strawberry sundae, I said I didnt order that. That really got her mad. I ended up getting correct food. Again, evaluation of staff is needed. A couple bad apples sour the bunch
Incredibly stressed employees, only three people working on a lunch rush. I tried to order on the mobile app and was quoted to pick up at a certain time and ended up waiting 30 minutes after getting to the location. Everyone’s orders around me were wrong and had to be fixed and all I wanted to do was leave but I had already paid. Please hire more people. This was ridiculous and while I love Dairy Queen I won’t come back to this location that is how bad the service was. Everyone was very very nice and helpful but had no idea what was going on.
Let me just start by saying we were going there with every intention to just get ice cream, but we looked at the food menu. The food seemed OK. It was pretty busy and there as soon as we walked in we seen the manager yelling at an employee telling him let's go in the back now let's go talk The lady at the register was pretty nice. She took our order and everything when the food came out. It was not good at all. It was disgusting salty fries food not hot. Nothing the manager was wearing a gray sweatsuit not in a Dairy Queen uniform or nothing she did not smile. She looked at very aggravated. Frustrated I told her to smile. She looked at me like I was crazy. They need new management in this establishment somebody who's actually gonna step in and do something because the manager that was there tonight is as worthless as two damn pennies.
Tonight was the second time for my family and I went to Dairy Queen for dinner, and while our first experience there was pleasant, tonight's experience was not. We got there at 10:05pm, and ordered our food, but didn't actually receive our meal until 10:35pm. We got three of the $7 meal deals. The only reason that we got our meal at 10:35pm was because my mother went up to the counter to see how much longer. We had originally been told to sit down and our food would be brought to us, but it's a good thing that she went back up to the counter, because our food was ready but none of the employees had said anything. This resulted in our blizzards nearly being melted before they had even reached the table. While we were eating, it eventually became 11:00pm which is the time they close. As soon as the clock turned to 11:00pm, and not even a second sooner, a different employee came over to tell us that they were closed and that we had to leave. We were nearly done eating but my mother had a few bites of her blizzard left, so she did hesitate to take the remaining three few bites. Because we didn't IMMEDIATELY get up at his announcement, he proceeded to stand there and watch us. At this point, the clock only said 11:02pm. The thing that got me the most about the entire interaction was that there were people STILL in line waiting to receive their food. So, it wasn't like we were the only customers in the restaurant preventing them from closing.
Terrible service. Ordered hot fudge sundae with nuts. Specially asked for nuts. Waited a ridiculous amount of time for my order and didn’t get my nuts. When I asked for my nuts the girl spun around in a circle radioing people like I asked her for the most complex task in the world. Then she wanted to charge me $1.25 for the nuts I already ordered. Girls name was Marissa. Extremely rude and no customer service skills. Should not work with the public.
I went in to use the bathroom and no toilet paper and then I got 2 blizzards and the guy didn't flip them upside down because they had whipped cream on top and then refused to give me 2 free blizzards. The pumpkin pie was not very pumpkiny. The french silk pie was all vanilla ice cream at the bottom. What the hell. I live an hour away to get this. Will never come back.
Absolute worst service I have ever experienced. Reading other reviews on here I think it’s comical that the owner responds to every negative review stating how they’re “always listening to their fans,” when they clearly are not. I placed an online order for a cheeseburger and an order of onion rings. I arrived a few minutes after it said it was ready, and I ended up waiting 40+ minutes before a staff member even acknowledged me, and when they did my order still wasn’t ready. During the 40+ minutes I watched over 20 people come in, wait for 20+ minutes and walk out the door. The front entrance had what looked like a full drink spilled everywhere, where anyone could have slipped and fell and got hurt, and the staff completely ignored it. When I was finally given my order almost an hour after I arrived, to no surprise it wasn’t even correct, and I had to drive back to get what I actually ordered. No one even apologized, the staff was in fact extremely rude. I cannot say enough bad things about this place and I highly recommend saving your time and money! I wish I read these reviews before making the mistake of trying to get a quick burger on my lunch break today!
THIS LOCATION DOESNT EVEN DESERVE 1 STAR! THE STAFF THERE ARE NOT FRIENDLY IN THE LEAST. IN FACT THEY ARE EXTREMELY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. THEY SEEM TO ONLY MOVE IN ONE SPEED WHICH I MAY ADD IS SLOTH SPEED! I PLACED MY ORDER @ 12:23PM. PART OF MY ORDER WAS BAGGED AND GIVEN TO ME AT 12:33PM WHICH INCLUDED MY ICE CREAM. THE REMAINDER OF MY ORDER WAS NOT GIVEN TO ME UNTIL 12:55PM. BY THEN MY "HOT" FOOD WAS COLD AND MY ICE CREAM WAS MELTED. WHEN ASKED ABOUT THE DELAY I WAS GIVEN AN ATTITUDE BY THE GIRL AT THE COUNTER AND NO REAL ANSWER. TO AVOID ME SHE DECIDED TO CAMP OUT IN THE BACK WHERE THE GRILL IS. SHE IS UNHYGENIC TO SAY THE LEAST-WEARING THE SAME GLOVES FOR THE 45 MINUTES I WAS THERE NEVER CHANGING THEM BUT CONSTANTLY TOUCHING HER HAIR/FACE AND NOSE AND BAGGING FOOD. THIS LOCATION IS A DISGRACE AND NEEDS A STAFF OVERHAUL THAT INCLUDES CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING AND FOOD SAFETY PRACTICES IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY GOING THERE YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED IN EVERY WAY!!
I ordered online to take out. I went to store pick up it was so quick to put all my orders together girl was like it’s door dash whatever order is easy which i wasn’t door dash. So she put everything quickly together which she forgot to add my 2 cheeseburger to the order. I drove 20 min back home opened bag and saw my order misplaced in a rush. I tried to call them back about missing order no body answered the phone.Chicken tinders were so dry and half of them overcooked and over sauced. I wouldn’t recommend this place and I won’t come back here for any food.
If I could give this trash establishment 0 stars I would . horrible management. The young staff have been way nicer than any of the mangers i’ve seen/interacted with they seem to be doing the best with what they’re handling . However The skinny tall one with the neck tats is very disrespectful and condescending. Not to mention we can hear staff in the back complaining about service. Just RUDE and distasteful experience overall . 0/10
Honestly the guy with neck tattoos working the drive thru was just super rude, I asked for another minute bc I wasn't sure what I wanted and he said "just so you know we close in 30 minutes" and clearly it's not going to take me half an hour to decide. Sure maybe it was a bit late to go but I've only worked in restaurants so I know it's just part of the job. Then my boyfriend ordered a blizzard and the employee was very condescending. My boyfriend said what he wanted and the employee repeated it back in a very rude tone and me and my boyfriend thought he said "saucer" instead of "soft serve" causing some confusion. When we said we weren't sure what a butterfinger saucer is, the employee then said "saucer, it's what ice cream is 🙄" which was just a rude and an unprofessional way to handle that. Overall he was just strangely angry and rude for really no reason.
All the way around HORRIBLE !!!! Wasted my whole lunch HOUR waiting for my food, While waiting I heard the employee's complaining about the customers in the lobby looking at them. Watching all the drive thru order's go out while I was waiting for a SALAD and a SANDWICH. My sons food was cold and his ice cream went in the trash because it was melted!! The front counter women had gloves on but kept touching her hair and face while bagging people's food, floors are nasty filled with a layer of STICK. Absolute waste of my money!! When I finally received my food, my dressing was incorrect so I asked for the correct dressing and the women upfront was rude and told me the dressing I got was what I asked for when my receipt clearly shows I ordered RANCH not HONEY MUSTARD. After over 30 minutes I simply walked out leaving the dressing behind and telling the next set of customers to not waste their time or money. I put a call into cooperate but I'm sure nothing will be done. SO PEOPLE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT 1652 Central Ave, Colonie NY DAIRY QUEEN.
0 stars if possible. Had the door shut and locked in my face after parking/approaching on Fri evening 9/19 10:30/40 PM No they weren't closed. It was a reaction to us parking. We had left a football game. The entire team/families were coming to meet us. Probably missed out on a few thousand in business. We all redirected our business elsewhere. After reading the other reviews. It looks as if this is common place. GO ANYWHERE ELSE!
On 9/6/25 me and my family stayed at the hotel near by and my kids wanted ice-cream so at 11:20 when we got to door one of the workers ran and close the door on us so we asked her if we can order she said in the drive-thru so we walked there and a guy said we can't order without a car that's why its called a drive-thru so we was walking away and saw in the back door 3 of the workers was smoking weed so we asked if the kids can order ice-cream they manager started to argue and wanted to fight my husband. It was the worst experience ever we are from out of state came for a big even and our kids had to see and experience this shame on this place.
Food is very expensive for what you get (not much) spent almost 50 dollars and part of our order was forgotten. Went to the counter and asked about our blizzard and food and was told very rudely by the cashier there that I had never ordered that. He asked for my receipt which I wasn't given a copy of. And then stomped to the cashier in the drive thru and shouted "what did this girl order because she's saying she didn't get it". Staff is unprofessional. Very disappointing won't be returning.
This was the worst experience I came here once it wasn’t great because maybe it was a mistake. Nope, even worse this time. I preordered and they took over a half hour to make two ice creams and tenders. The employees had no urgency and were messing around while making the order. They overfilled the cup so it was spilling all over the bag by the time I got to the car and they shorted me on the food I ordered. Would give 0 stars if I could
Recommended my coworkers to go to lunch with me here for our hour break because I've never had problems with this location before, but it was so awful. The girl with blue hair at the counter started doing other things before giving me any time of day at the counter. My supervisor had to repeat herself 3 to 4 times her her to get the order correct, and then they ended up messing up her order anyway when she opened it when we got back to our office. The manager was NOT helpful to her whatsoever and even told her to stop taking orders??? They messed up like 3 orders for people already in the place waiting on their food. It is completely ridiculous. I never leave reviews but this was the worst customer service experience in a food place I have ever seen, and food service was my first job. You accommodate the customer, it is their food they have to eat. People get lunch on their breaks, it is not the time for you to act like you're on a Sunday stroll and be so extremely SLOW. I probably won't even go back here again. Ridiculous.
Ordered a double cheese burger with a misty slush and a peanut butter parfait with chocolate ice cream. I receiveo a burger with two bottom buns and cold fries. No drink. After waiting 10 minutes for my drink I had to go back up to the counter and wait another 10 minutes for my drink so I could finally eat my ice cold burger. Finally got my ice cream with vanilla ice cream and a weird residue on the spoon. Spent a total of 45 minutes here and around 40 minutes of it was correcting my order or flat out just trying to get my food. Finally said screw it and said just give me a refund. Got shorted $5 and said it's not worth it to go back in. Wont go back in ever again frankly
