I was pretty impressed with my experience eating here with my boyfriend. I left with a satisfied full belly and will recommend this location to friends and be back again soon! The place was clean and food delicious. Our waitress was kind and friendly and was very professional and not bothering us during our meal and made sure to clear our table from old food plates that we weren't using anymore which was super helpful.
They opened a few minutes early on Thanksgiving! Tony was our server and was amazing! Very courteous, attentive and polite! The food was also fresh and delicious. It was our second year coming for Thanksgiving and it was definitely more organized this year. Thanks for being open for the holiday!
While the food was hot and regularly refilled I had a variety steak was good, chicken wing meat was somewhat dry, but the flavor was good. This Golden Corral has a large Latino influence. Enchiladas were very good, as were the tamales. Staff did a good job with trying to keep up with cleaning tables, and removing dirty dishes. I will probably go back to this Corral (I'm in Denver for work) during my stay.
Wow🤩First time trying this buffet and didn’t let my expectation down. I came at this place from Westminster with my Wife❤️ and we loved it. We tried the fried chicken, Mexican fry rice and other stuffs. However, the milk chocolate drink I got was not that good for me. But, rest were superbly amazing. They are seriously Golden as per the name. One the best buffet I have tried so far🤩
Its been a while this place is good to visit maybe every 3 months or so. But the food is ok and waiters are always great
For $12.99 buffet, let’s be real, it’s not bad for breakfast. Yes, it’s far from perfect, but I would definitely go back there again. You have such an assortment of breakfast goodies to choose from. Bacon was nice and crispy Sausage was actually juicy and flavor was good French toast was not too bad, add butter to make it better. Pancakes - I didn’t like and would stay away from Hash brown, we’re not bad, I wish they were a little more fried to crisp it a little. Eggs weren’t bad, not visually appealing, lol, definitely not fresh from eggs, it was in a bunch of liquid they could have drained out to make it more visual appealing. Pizza could actually be much better
(2025) 2 of my dining companions who go to the Thornton branch commented about not seeing/having more of their favorite food on the menu available, ex., the Posole. They were looking for the Menudo as well and it was only when we asked our Server that he pointed to it's location. It was missed by my companions as it was in a smaller container, by the pasta side and not labeled. Still enjoyed our dining there. (2024) Weekday lunch, about 7 of us. We came around 11 so had nearly the place to ourselves and had the "lay of the buffet food". However, 30 minutes after was a different story with more customers milling around certain food stations. Some from our group were not pleased with the service as they constantly had to ask for even water refills. Also, 1 staff, took the liberty of taking a plate with still about 3/4 full of food when that diner was at the counter paying for a separate to-go charge. Personally, I loved the Roast Beef and the pork chop dish that was grilled (I think). The onion rings were fresh off that pan. Good value for the food offered. This branch is also relatively newly remodeled, I think. It is much better than I visited another branch a long time ago. Parking is no problem, it's free and there's a lot of spaces. Will be back.
This buffet does serve breakfast. The food depends on what you take and how busy it is. If you've timed it so you take something as they're putting it out, it's better than items that have sat under a heat lamp for a while. The one thing that's best is the omelet which is made to order. They don't have ingredients like avocado, but there is a reasonable selection to customize your omelet from. While there are desserts available, they did not have croissants, danish or muffins. Overall, it's a reasonable value for the price Service was okay with the exception of the omelet station which was very good. There are a lot of tables and booths. They do have a fireplace. There is no Wi-Fi. The parking lot has plenty of space.
Went to the Mississippi Avenue location of this restaurant in Aurora on a Thursday for a late lunch around 1:00. Pretty crowded but was able to get to most food islands without to much wait. Since food items were missing/not served and they were not replenished during our entire visit. Overall, not a bad deal for the price one pays, but your visit can be hit or miss, depending on the food they are serving that day. Service was attentive and friendly. Plenty of free parking in the adjacent parking lot. B
Not the best experience at this location in Aurora this past weekend. I was told breakfast ended at 1pm which was not true it ended at 11am and i was really looking forward to an omlet lol so I got there at noon.. the mealtimes are not posted on the website which prompted me to call in the first place. The workers should be more knowledgeable about these things. I dont remember dinner costing $20 per person either! There was no seasoning on the steak and mac and the meat was super chewy..I just...the kids did love the ice cream! They did not care for tho other desserts at all. Overall it was too expensive for such subpar food :( I was better off keeping the $60 as a part of the grocery budget!
Food is not as good as it used to be. It's hard to have a consistent waiter/waitress. Dishes piled up on the table longer than they needed to be. Salad bar was half empty. Wasn't that busy. For the price food should've been hot and fresh.
They used to have lots of choices for lunch. But now you pay about 20.00 for lunch, and very little to choose from to eat. And the workers are all change to non speaking English type who are also kind of protecting the food. They want to control what you take when it comes to certain foods. So last visit was not a good experience. And I think they are now catering to construction workers only.
Not such a bad spot, this is my 1st visit since the remodel. I have2 say that I enjoyed the food 🥘 and would Mos Def do it again. I believe the breakfast 🍳 is the best bang 4 your buck but don’t hold me2 that. I’m a have2 make more frequent trips 2 make sure. The price is also a plus because nowadays everything is expensive. So the next time you’re asked what to grub & no one can decide, check em out if you’re in the neighborhood and Holla at a Playa 👌🏾
3/6/22-The food has gotten better then what it was before covid first hit. At the same time your experience depends on what food you grab. The baked fish was actually still raw, not only were spots still the full raw color, but even the 'cooked' parts had not gotten flakey at all showing it was way under cooked. They have returned to self service, but do provide gloves (very few people were using them though). My main issue were all the unruly kids running around. It's like all the parents that eat here have no idea how to make their kids mind. They were running into disabled and elderly guests and they never said sorry. It was not just one table, but most of them with kids. Because of this I would say this restaurant is unsafe for elderly or disabled people. When we reported this issue to the restaurant they did make an announcement over the PA system, but it did not change any of the behavior and the restaurant would not talk to the parents directly. This is not the place for a nice meal if you're looking for one. I would recommend avoiding this place. The video clip I uploaded shows some of the kids that were misbehaving. The boy was throwing his toy all around and even hitting people with it. The girl would run back and forth to the food area unsupervised and at one point even ran into an employee who didn't say anything. Then as I talked to the manager as we left she didn't seem to care. When I asked her why she hadn't asked them to leave for disturbing people she didn't have an answer. This manager needs to grow a set so that people will not have horrible experiences at her restaurant. You'll get a Chuck E. Cheese experience here both from the guests and the staff.
The building and interior are nicer than the staff and food. Hostess wasn't friendly and our server found it annoying when my son and I thanked him. Mashed potatoes were salty, pizza looked like its seen better days. The chocolate creme pie was stale and tasted like the smell of tree bark.
WORST AND I MEAN WORST GOLDEN CORRAL EVER! MANAGEMENT AND TEAM MEMBERS ABSOLUTELY SUCK! VERY LITTLE VARIETY OF FOOD AND ITEMS AND THEY BARELY KEEP THE SALAD BAR STOCKED. ITS ALWAYS PACKED IN THERE AND THE BATHROOMS ARE GROSS! ILL TAKE THE DRIVE DOWN TO DENVER OR THORTON INSTEAD ANYTIME! EVEN THE COPS WILL TELL YOU NOT TO EAT HERE!
We checked the receipt after we payed and were eating, we for 4 adults, should have been 1 adult, 2 kids, and 1 senior. They would not do an adjustment for the money and wanted to see the kids. Still no adjustment, and wanted us to leave which we did not even after being told they were gonna call the police. I am pretty sure people are getting over charged daily, watch your bill ,bring birth certificates. Low class people at the front desk, and no customer service. I'll never recommend this place to anyone, even if the food was good, which it was not.
Unfortunately, today we had a very unpleasant experience at this Golden Corral. This was the second time in the same month that we were served by the same waiter, and once again his attitude was very rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. From the beginning, he brought the sodas with a bad attitude and did not return to the table to offer refills. When we called him to ask for drinks, he brought them in a rude and unfriendly manner. We purchased sodas for each of our daughters, and my husband and I ordered water with ice. At one point, I took a small sip of soda from my daughter’s cup, and my husband did as well. The waiter came over aggressively, saying that we had to pay for two additional sodas, even though he was not coming back to bring water or offer refills, as he should. In addition, the waiter lied, saying that we had insulted him and that we were stealing food and drinks. It is important to point out that we paid almost $100 for our meal. It is completely unreasonable to think that a family who paid that amount would want to steal a drink that costs around $3.50, especially when we have visited this restaurant many times and have always spent about $100 on food. It was clear that he thought we did not speak English, but my daughter understood everything he was saying and stood up to tell him that it was not true. We never insulted him. We told him that we would pay for the two additional sodas when we were leaving, but he became even more aggressive. The manager arrived, who was also very rude, and the situation escalated in a completely unacceptable way. The waiter attempted to hit my husband; my husband had to stand up, and other people had to hold the waiter back so he would not hit him. I also had to intervene. Several people approached us, we were forced to pay for the two sodas, and we were finally kicked out of the restaurant. This place used to be one of my favorites, but not anymore. Because of what happened, I do not recommend this restaurant, I will not return, and I will warn my friends and family about the disrespectful treatment, the bad experience, and the fear and distress caused to my daughters when the waiter tried to attack my husband. A very sad and disappointing experience, especially for a family that only wanted to enjoy a peaceful meal. For this reason, I will definitely not give even one star. This place does not deserve a single star, due to the terrible treatment we received and the fear they caused my daughters because of the waiter’s aggressive behavior.
Well, My family and I tried to come here to eat. When we entered and told the cashier how many people and that we only want water. She looked at my kids and asked them what they wanted to drink. I told her we’re all just getting water. Then she asked for their ages and I told her how old they were. Next she proceeded to ask for their birthdates. It was completely ridiculous. I am an adult woman trying to pay this business. On top of all of this, the food is awful. I don’t think anyone should ever bring their family to this establishment and be ridiculed like this.
Food was subpar, the fried food wasn’t crispy, the potato wedges half were undercooked, the chicken was dry. I’ve never been to Golden Corral before and I have to say I’m extremely disappointed. There were only 3 seafood options all were unappetizing, the grilled fish was supposed to be in garlic butter but yet was flavorless, the deep fried fish was stale and didn’t give a satisfying crunch when you bit into it, the fried shrimp was the only half decent item out of the three. My overall experience was disappointing and I’m very unsatisfied. Does not live up to the hype expectations advertised.
We came to this location for thanksgiving and traveled from Oklahoma to be there to visit my older brother and we go in and pay for 8 people and my dad who is usually a homebody and doesn’t get out to often but wanted to go her because that’s where my older brother wanted to eat so we did and our dad paid for 8 people to eat and then my brother and his wife came a little later and my dad paid for them as well. So after he paid for the 8 of us first while we waited for our brother to get there because it was busy which is understandable it’s thanksgiving so we go and try to have a seat because in Oklahoma usually we just go and find a open seat but at this one you gotta wait and be seated which after being redirected that we had to go wait in line and then be seated which is fine so my dad is a big guy and he can’t stand for to long and as he is going to get in line he feels the need to have a seat he just needed a moment he is 55 years old and he’s a 5xl maybe 6 but he has to take short breaks so he stops and try’s to have a seat and a waiter came up to him and told him to go stand in line and then so he tell us that he’s just going to go sit in the car and that we can go ahead and eat. So we eat without him and then when we are almost done eating I told my sister hey you should go ask them if they could do a refund on dad because he didn’t even sit at the table or eat. She said okay and then goes to the place where you pay and the girl says ok but you guys have been here for awhile and we have no one to check the cameras and they told her to come back the next day and that they might be able to check the cameras girl we are traveling lol we can’t just keep going back and forth I don’t see why they couldn’t have taken his information and then contacted our dad once they saw for themselves that he never even ate or sat at the table. So he was never refunded and it wasn’t handled correctly and the waitress didn’t even speak English so we tried to see if she could tell them that we only had 7 people that she waited on but she didn’t understand so idk but yeah that was our experience
We came for the thanksgiving dinner. Us being from Oklahoma and our other family coming from Montana maybe its different in each state but in Oklahoma you pay you find a seat and from their the waiter or waitress takes your drink order and you go make you plates. My dad couldn’t stand for very long there was a hige line and he did pretty well in the line which was a long line considering it was thanks giving it was very understandable the closer we got the harder it was for him to stand we finally made it to the front we were waiting on my brother and his wife who was trying to make it to us but again the line was crazy i asked the lady if i could just go ahead and pay for them she was rude said no i said okay then we told her the ages of the kids she got the ages which didnt make sense to me because all children under 14 were a certain set charge by this time my dad was already hurting he asked for a chair i asked for a chair specifically the lady who was calculating all of us then we paid and went to find a table then the guy chased us down and told us we had to wait in another line so as we were walking back i said okay we didnt know we needed to wait in another line but my dad cannot stand for very long can he get a chair he said yes we just needed to go back to the front my dad stopped and sat for a second and the guy basically told him to get up someone was sitting there my dad told he he just needed 60 seconds and the guy told him when he got up there he’d get him a chair so my dad got back up and went to the front he told the guy again and they guy had an attitude and my dad got mad and said im going to the car im not eating we already paid all of the kids were hungry he said for us to go ahead and eat he just couldn’t bare the pain anymore after getting everyone settled i told our waitress i needed the money back for his prt he basically didnt make it past the front door the lady very nice btw went and told the same girl and she said i needed to talk to her so i went up there told her my dad left asked for a manager she said what do you need i said i need a manager she said i can help you i said okay told her i needed that meal taken off and she asked the lady in spanish how many people were there the lady said 7 not 8 assuming i couldnt understand her she said hold on the guy who couldnt get the chair for my dad came up i told him i needed a manager he said he could help me i told him the situation at first he said he couldn’t give me the refund because we've been there for awhile i told him he never made it past the door how is that right he left went to talk to a lady directing people and came backand said they couldn’t do anything its busy they couldnt look at the cameras. Now with all of that being said it was busy yes, i understand the pressure of the busy times but we had a 10 top payed 14.99x4 and however much for 6 adults. I did not ask for more than what was due. My dad Is diabetic and had bad knees from a motorcycle accident all he wanted was a chair the Dr Pepper was out of syrup so i asked for a sweet tea she gave me a lemonade my brother and his wife finally got to eat and got pie and it was frozen we got the steaks and asked for a medium once he gave me a medium well ate that went back to ask for a medium rare got a medium well again and the third time i went for my brothers steak and they got it then lol i tried calling the next day because he said id have to go back the next day but i couldnt because we left early that next morning the first time was 10:39 no answer the the second was 4:55 and got put on hold and got forgotten about so we took it at a loss
Regular customer decided to go out for Thanksgiving based on the advertised food. Waited an hour in line just to see everything I went for wasn't there. "Peel and eat shirmp" more like fishy shrimp unpeeled, NO green bean casserole, NO cranberry sauce, NO pies, NO bread pudding. NO refill on coffee. On a regular day I ate more Thanksgiving foods than on the holiday. Never going back
If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. What happened to my 70-year-old grandmother was absolutely unacceptable. She spent nearly $100 for only 4 people here, and a small situation over a single piece of cake turned into four employees surrounding her — one of them being a hispanic women screaming at her and recording w/o consent. All this after the unprofessional “security guard” had already told her once she couldn’t take it out and there was no rebuttal that came from us until we were disrespected. There was no need for it to escalate like that. Our server barely provided drinks, and my grandmother had to keep reminding him. She still tipped him out of kindness, even though he looked completely exhausted, eyes red, and was the only one handling 5–6 tables by himself. It’s crazy that four or five other workers could rush over to harass an elderly woman about cake but couldn’t step in to help their coworker or customers. The disrespect was disgusting. And to the woman who yelled at my grandmother — if you can barely communicate politely in English, maybe focus on learning respect before raising your voice at a 70-year-old. Would you let anyone speak to your madre or abuela that way? Didn’t think so. As for the “security guard,” next time try acting professional instead of arguing and cussing at paying customers because i’m sure if it was a man you wouldn’t buck up like you did. I don’t even expect corporate to do anything about this, because clearly the lack of professionalism starts from the top. I’m only writing this to warn others about the way this place treats people — especially the elderly. Karma always comes around, and God will handle it. Shameful.
Visiting here from Florida and this is one of the worst Golden Corals that we have been to. Just trying to get one of the employees to understand that I was asking for fried chicken legs was a impossible task. Four different people could not understand what I was asking for. The buffet was not well stocked and it was not that busy. Paid 30.00 for two Seniors and that was without a drink. We pay 22.00 with a drink at home. The food we did eat was not very hot and Our waters was not refilled once during our visit. Definitely won't ever come back.
Upon entering I stated to the cashier the number of adults and children and ages. The cashier looked at my kids and asked their age and birth date. I paid for everyone and sat at the table. I thought about the total and it seemed off, and to my surprise, they charged my kids the adult price. I asked the manager why I was charged an adult price for children, and he said because the cashier thought the kids were over 12. I asked him how would I prove their age, and he said bring a birth certificate (really, who carries a birth certificate around). I asked for a refund of the DIFFERENCE plus drinks charged, and he said no because we had already sat down and started eating. The food was horrible, with old vegetables and dried out meat. I paid full price for meals and received sub-par food. Not coming back to this place.

Doña Aura: Colorado's Buffet – A Feast of Flavors (Mostly)
Alright, let's chat about Doña Aura, that long-standing buffet spot here in Colorado. You know how it is with buffets – they can be a delightful hit or a bit of a miss, and Doña Aura certainly has its share of both. It's the kind of place many of us find ourselves returning to every few months, especially when hunger calls for a wide spread.First off, the service often shines. When they get it right, they really get it right. I’ve heard plenty of stories about servers like Tony, who on a busy
