We were in town for a work function and looking for somewhere to go for drinks in the Short North area. It was mid-afternoon on Friday and VooDoo Brewing was one of the very few places open before 4 pm. We stopped in and sat at the bar...the staff was attentive, particularly Marcella, she was lovely! She was engaging and knowledgeable about the beers that were on tap. They also had a $10 flight special for happy hour, which allowed us to try of few of the available selections. We had a great time and will definitely return when we're in Columbus again.
Ragu cooked the chicken to absolute perfection. And gave me my fist basket of truffle fries, I can confidently say it’s a 100/10. Tevin had great customer service and conversed with me like he knew me it was a great environment.
Fantastic food, inventive and flavorful beer, and second to none service. Everyone from our server, Demi, to the manager, William, was absolutely wonderful every step of the way. There are no shortage of options in the Short North when it comes to entertaining live music, a good drink, and satisfying bar food. With Voodoo Brewing, you'll find all three without compromising (seriously, the bassist was tearing it up). Affordable fare, an approachable setting, and fresh ingredients make the trip worth it simply for the food; the beer and service sweeten the deal. Stop by while they're new before the place is packed on a daily basis, Voodoo Brewing is certainly a rising star in the area. (Tikka Masala marinated chicken sandwich pictured and highly recommended.)
Stopped in 2/28/2026. Bartender was friendly and we ordered some drinks and food. Great atmosphere! Will definitely stop back next time we come to Columbus.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My friends and I found **Voodoo Brewing Co** on a whim on October 31st, and I’m so glad we decided to stop in! We met Chef Cortez, who was welcoming and helped us pick out some great brews that paired best with our dishes, and Zorian, our waiter, who also gave us awesome suggestions and did an excellent job answering our questions about the menu. The food and brews were amazing — we honestly loved everything we tried! The atmosphere was fun and relaxed, and everyone there was so welcoming. We had such a great time that we even started looking up locations near where we live. If you’re ever in Columbus, Ohio, definitely check this place out. You won’t be disappointed!
Still trying to figure out how this facility has just opened. It seems as if this place has been here for a long time, yet they are new to the CBUS nightlife. Coupling an amazing cocktail lineup with wonderful food options is key; and VOODOO BREWERY in the Short has done an amazing job. The bar is quaint with a vibe that states "WE ARE PART OF THIS COMMUNITY!" All the staff is wonderful and very informed on the menu as well as drink selections. Stop in and say HELLO any day of the week and you will not be disappointed. From live music, to DJ nights and karaoke, they also have a Plinko board in the back corner. Get yourself in here and enjoy some great food, wonderful atmosphere and exceptional drinks!! Don't forget to tip!!
The food & drinks were delicious. But our service from Tevin was EXCEPTIONAL!! Tevin was extremely attentive, highly professional, and very knowledgeable of food & drinks. Tevin made our first experience a great one. My husband & I sampled two ciders and one seltzer. He end up ordering a pumpkin cider and a black cherry lemon seltzer. Both are delicious. I end up ordering the dragonberry mocktail. Also, delicious. Thanks Tevin for a wonderful experience. I felt like royalty.
Ragu and Tevin were great! Great food! Great service as well. Tevin super charismatic and definitely makes sure your having a good time.
You HAVE to come here and ask for Zakk. It was the first time for my wife and I and he made it the best first experience it could have been. Very knowledgeable on drinks and recommended top tier choices for us. 10/10 service and we'll definitely be coming back for more date nights!
The artwork is very cool. I had Amelia as a server and she was amazing. Very funny and polite. Maya was another server on tonight and she was also delightful. They work so well together and really showed teamwork, which is always very nice to see as a former service industry worker. Speaking of vibe, I got the Good Vibes beer, which was very tasty. 10/10 recommend.
Our server/bartender Tevin was exceptional. Personal, pleasant, and a total pro. Made for a great dining experience.
Great place to grab food and beer 🍺 the live music by @Fayeband was great and overall the atmosphere was very fun. The flight of beer was perfect to satisfy the want to try multiple beers. The menu has a good variety for selection 😋 we had pizza, a burger, fried pickles, and banana cream pie ice cream (house made by the chef) sooo good!!
I think Zack was my server and we had such a fun visit because of them! Traveling from Pittsburgh for the Arnold and they handled the volume well and our food was fast and delicious! Had a grasshopper shot that was like a thin mint cookie!
We had an incredible experience thanks to our bartender Chayni! She was knowledgeable and had awesome recommendations. The mac and cheese pizza and samosas were delicious as well as the drinks. We were able to sample several beers and watch both the buckeyes and cbj games on the big screens. Thanks to Chayni and the voodoo staff for a great game day!
I loved the atmosphere here, the second we walked in the door the staff greeted us. They were super friendly and professional at the same time. We placed a to-go order, and a young lady took us to a table with menus to order. She even brought us water to sip on while we looked through the menu. We placed our order, then went for a walk on High Street. Our order taker/waitress came outside to let us know our food was almost done. Oh, the actual chef even came out to greet us! When our food was done it was brought to us immediately. We went home to eat. I got a half pepperoni half capris pizza. It was DELICIOUS!!! I swear, I don’t think I have ever had better pizza in my life! You can tell that it was hand made fresh with love! I ate over half of it until I was STUFFED because it was that good!!! I think I will have to stop in just for the pizza from time to time. Thanks VooDoo for the great food and great atmosphere! Oh, and my husband got the mussels, and he loved them!
Voodoo got a variety of alcohol and food. I came on game day and tried the non-alcoholic lager which tasted great, just same as real lager, but I did not get drunk. They also got classic bar food and Indian cuisine. The melting cheese bread was baked freshly. Their Indian food looked also popular and authentic since I saw a few Indian people inside. The game day vibe was great with large screens. There were many lovely decorations and games. Servers were amazing and WiFi was fast. They also hold special events such as holiday celebrations and karaoke nights.
Hey now Voodoo Brewery has the perfect blend of drinks food and fun. Each night has the same quality but a different vibe. I'm the comedy open mic host however you can pull up any night and still have an amazing time. Try the chicken mac Pizza Thank Me Later !!Lulu out
It was a little slow when we were there, but a fun spot with a funky vibe! Staff was all friendly. I couldn't decide on a beer so our server suggested a flight, which was great! Pretzel was great, honey dipping sauce really good, much better than the cheese.
This place was wonderful, and the staff was very welcoming. The inflatable arm man led me in! I got the wings, truffle fries, and the egg rolls. I only got a pic of the truffle fries (because the rest was to-go) - will definitely be back for the burger 🍔 Great service and a wonderful accommodating chef 👨🏽🍳
Excellent first time experience here. Service & drinks were fantastic. Chicken lolly pops were divine.
The atmosphere is amazing, the food was great and the drink selection is top tier! Definitely an experience worth having.
Staff here was friendly and kind to me who is someone new to the area, large selection of beers and flights to choose from (I got the hyper cold IPA non alcoholic beer) if looking to swing by I'd recommend coming 2hours before close incase they're slow
Excellent selection of their brewed beers and some others as well. Great menu with attention to quality - no high fructose corn syrup and never from freezer to fryer. My favorite was the flash fried Brussels sprouts. Simple with just some flake salt and not over done with random toppings.
Sydney our waitress was an absolute delightful and truly wonderful to have for my first time there. Very attentive, knowledgeable, and speedy even on a busy night will definitely be back and hope to have her again. William the sharply dressed owner was great to talk with, very kind and even helped bus some of the tables around us to get more people seated, which is such a rare thing to see thank you both for making our first visit so great

The food, the beers and cocktails in short north awesome. You have to try here. Nice service. Offcourse game days are busy.

We went here for restaurant week, and it was such a good deal! Lamb chops, southwest egg rolls, and a pickle pizza for $30! We got the mussels too. All of it was delicious. And our server Sydney was super kind! My bestie lives about a block from here, and we WILL be back!
We really enjoyed the Voodoo Brewing Co. The food was delicious. The drinks made by Teven were amazing!!! His Espresso martini and margaritas are the best! Teven and Zorian made our experience a 5 star. They were so welcoming and nice. We will definitely be back. Must try the pickle pizza, man n cheese and salads.
Tevin was absolutely amazing! I didn't expect to have so much fun mid Sunday at the bar of a brewery, especially with the unexpected weather. He was so knowledgeable on the beers, I almost wanted to buy one of each after hearing him explain them to me and a few other guest at the bar. We will definitely be back! The Foodoo burger and french fries were good as well. I thought it was interesting seeing such a full menu at a brewery. The chef and owners should be proud. We will be back!
visiting from out of town and i walked about a mile past so many bars until i found this place, and the vibe hit. Casual people, the music wasn't blaring loud so you could actually talk to people, and i wasn't hungry but the food looked pretty good. Thank you Joe and Chayni! Both of them were *super* sweet and gave great service.

Let me just say first the service is amazing. Fantastic job to our bartender. I will alone come back just because of that. However, food was insanely mid and that's just the best it's ever going to be unfortunately. Beers were fun, had some local and had some of their own. A couple the wife and i enjoyed were the pom berry, and thunder IPA. Cool chill atmosphere with football games going on if you want to catch any of them. Worth a check out!
Beers were great! We tried the Crick Crusher & Oh Mama. Pizza (Three Little Pigs) itself is good, but bottom of crust was a little soft, biscuity. Short rib nachos were decent. Service from Sydney was great. William (manager) was attentive & open to feedback; he seems invested in getting the word out & having the place do well. They’re still working some things out, but it looks promising!

My husband and I decided to visit this restaurant after seeing it on TV and learning it was nominated for Restaurant Week. We were genuinely excited to try it. Our server was an absolute superstar. He was kind, attentive, and working incredibly hard—but unfortunately, he was the only server on the floor, handling nine tables with multiple guests at each. Despite being completely overwhelmed, he maintained professionalism and did her best to take care of everyone. What was truly disappointing and uncomfortable was what we witnessed behind the scenes. The chef in the kitchen repeatedly rang the bell demanding the server pick up food immediately, even while he was actively taking orders from other tables. At one point, I personally witnessed the chef speaking to him in a very disrespectful manner—throwing his hands up in frustration and embarrassing him in front of customers. Watching someone who was clearly doing their absolute best be treated that way was unacceptable. While we truly appreciated and enjoyed our server, the way staff were treated left a lasting negative impression. For that reason alone, I would not return. Great food and recognition mean very little when employees are not treated with respect.
No Coke Zero here but the food was good and the server (Sydney) was very attentive and friendly!! Got the short rib Mac and cheese, it was really good but the serving size was a bit small for the price. They had YouTube auto playing music videos being projected on the wall which was probably my favorite part of the whole experience.

We went specifically for #1 pizza - not in-house made crust (disappointed) so if you’re a pizza lover take note. #2 beer; nothing on tap we liked (out of 2 IPAs). We sat at the bar, couldn’t ask for better service, the shift change was smooth and super attentive to our needs.
I stopped by the little bar initially last week on Tuesday to partake in restaurant week. We walked in at 652pm and placed an order for two order of wings( Cajun dry rub & Carolina gold) around 702pm. We ordered a few cocktails (the passionfruit Paloma, Mango Melon margarita and the lacto kooler). All were pretty tasty. The bar only had a few people inside at that time. After drinking and talking, it dawned on us at 8pm that we hadn't received our food. So I asked the bartender who kept disappearing between 15 and 20 minutes each time, can we get an update on our food. She returned telling us another 7 minutes I preceded to go to the bathroom and noticed a party of at least 12-15 people. So it made since on why were overlooked. But at the same time they didn't have food at their table yet. I returned to my table and told my wife what I noticed. But more then 7 minutes had passed. So I went to where the one of two employees they had working and asked to cancel my order. And that Id like to just close out my bill. Five minutes later I was brought the wings, but neither were the flavors we ordered. They brought us an order of honey wings and ranch wings. They comped the wings and gave us half off the few drinks we had. The service was poor and as much as we enjoyed the drinks I dont think we'll return. If they couldn't keep up on a Tuesday then imagine if it was the weekend!!
Beer was excellent. Service was friendly but slow. Food was poor. Came for $30 pp restaurant week and it tasted and looked like reheated frozen food (got the southwest rolls and burger). The dessert pretzel and Mac n cheese pizza were pretty good. Will definitely come back for beer!
Food was terrible went with my family. Two of us got the philly and it was terrible the steak had an odd taste and the bread was burnt to a crisp. We had gotten it because the server recommended it 😂. We felt bad sending it back but the chef was super nice about it and offered to cook them burgers instead. The burgers were ok still very well done but we appreciated the fix. We also tried the pub pretzel and chicken sandwich which were also kind of mid flavor wise. The fries were undercooked and had way too much seasoning sprinkled on top. The service was alright our waitress kept disappearing and we could see our food ready at the chef counter and she continued to chat with coworkers and sweep as we saw our food ready. The atmosphere was also weird it smelled like musty cleaning supplies like a weird lemon scent around where we were sitting. We also were using a giftcard that we had gotten from the Clipp app at the end and no one knew how to scan it. Finally the owners just took the amount off, but it took about 5 people to figure it out. Overall I would not go back because of the food. It’s really a shame because it’s such a nice space and huge on High st. Just very mid food at a high price point. The menu also looked very promising but fell short

The reviews were so positive…our experience was not. My husband and I came in at 12:45 on a Friday. We were the only ones there after one other group finished up and left. The atmosphere left a LOT to be desired. We noticed opened shipping boxes and a bunch of junk on the counter/bar right behind me. But the worst part was that there were fruit flies ALL over our table, beer and food! They would not leave us alone. Our server, who was polite and attentive, had to have noticed that I was actively hunting and killing one fly after another through the whole meal, and also that we covered the beers in our flights with napkins to try to prevent the flies from diving into them! When we finally mentioned it to him, he said, “Yeah, they’re pretty bad. The problem is the front door doesn’t close.” Hmm. My turkey burger was very bland, but the house chips and spicy ranch were good. My husband’s cheeseburger was meh. We did like the beer flights! Management needs to clean this place up, get a hold of the fly problem, and encourage his servers to attend to guests who have a subpar experience.
I took a fairly extensive Uber ride too Voodoo on Friday night and arrived just after 11:30. The sign in the window was lit up OPEN and the red letters confirmed their hours were until 1am. A worker came over as soon as he saw us, looked right at us, and turned off the open light. I called them, it rang for about a dozen times before an Indian sounding man answered and just said "hello"? I had a weird conversation with him where he said, yes, we're open please try pulling and pushing both doors 🤦🏼♂️ as if I don't know how to use a door. He kept asking for me to hang so can figure out things. This happened several times before he eventually said something about how they're not open after all. I couldn't understand the rest of what he said. Then, around midnight, the employees turned off all the lights and walked out. One guy walked past us and asked if we had been trying to get in as if he couldn't see us for the past half hour. He then said they closed early due to lack of business. I don't know what kind of night they had, but the area was quite busy and multiple other people came to Voodoo during this time too. They lost out on quite a bit of sales. I'm not sure what happened, but I was annoyed and angry about wasting a pricey Uber ride there for nothing and having a very weird experience. I don't know if or how this place will survive, but if they don't, I won't be surprised. They've permanently lost my business and I won't ever go back. There are plenty of other options around, so I won't miss out on anything. I encourage others to go elsewhere too.
I wrote a long review and it wouldn’t post of course. Long story short don’t waste your time. The bartender didn’t speak to us once. The bar back was only person to help us. Got one beer in an hour and half. Food came out all random times and fries were all cold. Wouldn’t expect this place to stay open much longer that this point.
Food tasted old, was cold, extremely underwhelming. Guy in the kitchen rang the bell over and over again for server to run the food even though she was alone. Server was extremely slow, but she was nice enough. Drink tasted like it had no alcohol in it, just grenadine. Will never be back, hope they learn how to do better in a very competitive space.
Went today after the Volleyball Tournament at the convention center. Overall rating looked good and photos all looked good but in reality this was the worst experience I have had in a long time. We placed our orders (there were 6 of us) and waited 40 minutes for only one meal to arrive. She ordered the "not a philly." It had no toppings whatsoever and was all bread. She also ordered chips and recieved the upcharged side of french fries which were greasy and bland. Fast forward 10 minutes later, we recieved a BLT that was also tasteless and skimpy on toppings. 35 minutes later, I recieved my braised rib Mac and cheese. The sauce was as runny as my water, and there was very little protein. No flavor and lacked any resemblance to Mac and cheese. Finally, 27 minutes later, the other 3 recieved their burgers. Much to our surprise, they were pretty decent. To top it all off, we sat near the kitchen and had to ask the one waitress working if we could grab our own food because she was standing at the bar chit chatting with other customers while our food sat there getting cold. She also failed to mention to anyone that she added an automatic 15% gratuity on each of our bills (split 3 ways) because we were a "large party". 3/6 did not finish our food and will not be back for more. Completely unacceptable when you take in to account the place was damn near empty, AND people were walking out because they were not being waited on. The cook even came out to apologize and stated it was only his second day on the job and he was left in the kitchen all alone and didn't know where anything was. To give you an idea of how ridiculously expensive the terrible food was, Not a Philly plus a Burger, Dr. Pepper and Diet Coke +15% gratuity was $50 Mac and cheese, a flight of 4 very tiny ciders, and a BLT +15% gratuity = $71 2 burgers, 1 diet +15% gratuity = 40 Overall, I highly recommend NOT coming here for drinks or food. Also be advised, you'll be asked to scan the bar code on the menu for the most updated drinks list and then be told half of the drinks arent offered anymore. Owners should be ashamed of themselves.
