Had a bad experience at the Fry and Morton Rd location in Katy. The tacos were missing lettuce, cheese, tomatoes and the mystery meat was even more mysterious than normal. Even the corporate office failed, never even called me back ! Piss poor service and product at that location and at corporate, Jack. I was a regular JNB customer, I didn’t eat JNB after that for several years. Then I moved to Columbus. Decided to give this JNB a try, I have been eating JNB tacos since high school, 1973 or so, it’s a hard habit to break. The Columbus location rekindled my lost taco love, great tacos and great service. Thank you.
Nothing bad can ever be said about Jack in the Box. This place has any and all types of food a fast food establishment should have. Really enjoy the late night munchie meals and am even happier that they now serve them during the day (even if they charge a little extra for it, it is totally worth it)
Every time we visit columbus from England we always come here for our breakfast and the staff are always amazing and friendly and one awesome guy (mike) would always remember our orders which cut down ordering time as soon as we walked in
Traveling between League City and Sa Antonio. This is an ideal place to stop between the two cities. Food was hot and fresh and the staff attentative to what I wanted. Since a stop in Columbus makes sense, especially if you travel Highway 90, it is a good break.
Nice to finally find a Jack in the box near us. Have only used the drive thru. Friendly employees. Food has always been hot and good. Will be back.
Tasty, good quality hamburgers, onion rings and shakes. Service was enthusiastic and efficient. We ate inside. They have the Coke Freestyle machine still in service, but you have to ask for any condiments, including napkins. No complaint as they are trying to be safe, just be aware.
What a great place! We were a group of about 14 people, walked in mid afternoon. They got our orders out fast and I didn't hear of any mix-ups. And the food didn't taste like it had been sitting since lunch rush, it was up to par! 😋 The bathrooms were clean. Just before we walked out the door, I managed to spill a cup Full of orange drink all over the floor, table, and chairs...🤦🏻♀️ Went up to the counter and told them, they were super nice about it, which helped me feel a lot better! Shout out to Tino and Anthony!! 👍🏻
Shout out to the young lady working the window she’s so sweet and pleasant, we rolled through on our way home from the beach had a huge order and she didn’t miss a beat!! 🙌🏼 On top of all our food was fresh and hot. Hands down best Jack in the box we’ve ever been too and I usually don’t go to then because of food an service.
On my journey between two points on I-10 that I take pretty regularly, I always enjoy stopping at the Jack in the Box in town. Columbus is the halfway point for a lot of my trips, and this Jack in the Box is always fresh, fast, and delicious. The fries are always fresh and never tastes old, the meats are always cooked to order. I love them.
There is a lady named Daphne that is wonderful with customer service and always makes sure the order is correct! She is pretty new I believe, as I am local... I never visited here often because of the lack of customer service and food quality. But ever since I noticed her working here, everything has been fantastic and my son and I visit here often now! She is gold!!!
I LOVE Jack in the Box, but most of the TX locations have disappointed me since I moved back here a year ago. Luckily, this one was excellent. The burgers and fries were fresh and perfect. I wish you guys were near my house in San Antonio, that Jack location is horrible.
I love to stop at this Jack in the Box when I'm on my way home from Houston. The clean, relatively new facility has polite and efficient staff who serve hot, tasty food. I love the loaded tiny tacos!
This restaurant is absolutely amazing.. I have been In 3 Jack in the box this weekend and this one by far has been the cleanest, friendliest and most importantly the restrooms were clean. I didnt eat at the others because after visiting the restroom they were smelly and horrible... Job well done to the Management and staff of this Jack in the box.
I stop here several times a week to get a large cherry Dr Pepper and a Sourdough Jack. Never disappointed with food quality, and the staff always make a me feel welcomed. Sometimes, they are just too happy, and it rubs off on me!
I have never been to a Jack in the Box before. We rolled in at 8am with 4 bus loads of people, we spread to the wind to the various establishments in the area but I would guesstimate at least 100 guys went into the Jack in the Box. There were only 2 employees working. They absolutely crushed it! Very polite and just started hammering out orders. Considering there were so many of us, I thought the wait for the food was fairly short and was overall impressed with both of them. By the way, if you don't want hashbrowns as a side for breakfast, no biggie, they have freakin' mini pancakes as an option! If you want an ice coffee as a drink...they got you! And maybe you are crazy and want a burger and fries at 8am...no problem fam, they will cook that right up with a smile on their face and no judgement whatsoever. This place changes the game for fast food.
Omg THIS is me and my husband Favorite Jack In The Box!!! We live in New Braunfels near San Antonio and drive to this location.. on the way visiting family in Galveston. Its always Fresh and Hot! We been here at least 20 times and NEVER have had a bad experience!! I wish they could bring this Jack in the box where I live...
I was craving me some Jack this morning after a LONG night shift. I placed a mobile order and went to pick it up. No answer at the drive thru or phone, so I pulled up to the window. The only worker on shift was a Spanish speaker and her position wasn’t to run any of the register/order stuff. We did our best to communicate and she woke up her Manager. We all FaceTimed and got it figured out. Turns out somebody was a no show to work, and the manager was getting ready to come in. I did have to wait a little longer than expected, but it was well worth the wait. That was the BEST Jack I’ve ever had. It was fresh, hot, and delicious! I’m most impressed by the young lady’s tenacity to make sure she did everything she could to make sure the job was done and the customer got what they’re ordered. That’s a trait that is dwindling and almost nonexistent. I will be reaching out to management and corporate for kudos to her. We can all learn from this young lady. She deserves an award, raise and recognition for going above and beyond. She could have said, “Not my job. Not my problem,” but she made sure the task was completed, and completed well.
I have visited twice and both times the employees were pleasant and offered good service. Food and fries were served hot and did not require much wait at all
On 12/23/2025 at 4:04PM as of my receipt, the store was extremely busy, yet Michaela ensured every guest around me (including myself) was still receiving an amazing experience, and our food was produced at very good quality. Usually when it's as busy and understaffed as it was, you expect a significant drop in food quality, but everything was perfect. She gave every guest explicit, dedicated attention (again, even though it was busy), and took time with us to make sure everybody got everything we needed, while also attending to keeping everything else on track. She did absolutely amazing and I'll surely be coming to this location much more frequently due to this experience.

This has got to be the best jack in the box I have ever been to! After a long day's drive, I stopped in for some tacos and noticed that the door was locked. Went to the drive-through, and a man named Michael met me on foot. With his jack uniform on, he told me they were closed due to technical issues. He said it depends on what I wanted to order he could take care of me quickly, and he did! Tacos egg rolls , a coke, I was on my way! If this guy is not the manager, he should seriously be the head manager. He took care of me in a good, timely manner as he walked out to the drve through to give me good customer service. There’s a young man at the front counter with a face tattoo and I just want to take time and acknowledge how great this guy done. Customer service in fast food has sunk so low these days. That its almost expected. But this young man reminded me that this was not his standards for service. I was greeted with a smile in a warm and friendly environment. He recommended items and double check to make sure my items was correct. I can’t fully explain the level of detail he took in such a brief encounter. But it did not go unnoticed. Soon I hope he’s given his own store because I know that it would be ran beyond Jack in boxes standards. Thanks again man.

I mean 2 tacos for 1 dollar how can your beat that with a stick. It was clean enough, open late. Got me down the road and home sweet home. Not the greatest or the worst but if you would like a hardy meal mostly a good deal. If you are eating on a budget the late night deals seem to be pretty decent as well. Located all around most cities and even around schools and offices get a bite now or later.
I decided to stop at Jack In The Box in Columbus Texas. I hadn't been to Jack in the Box in a long time. I decided to try the Spicy Chicken Sandwich combo. The service was pretty good, they asked me to pull up because my chicken wasn't done. I waited about 10 mins and the lil guy came out and asked if I ordered the Spicy Chicken Sandwich combo and i replied yes. He said okay ill be right back. I waited another 10 minutes or so and A man came out with my order. He introduced himself and said he was the Manager. He apologized multiple times for the wait on my order and explained there was a mix up on my order was given to the wrong person. He apologized again and gave my order fresh and hot and also gave me a free piece of cheesecake. The service was impeccable and the food was awesome. Thanks for the great Service.
Edit: On the other hand what we ended up ordering was delicious. First time I’ve been told you have to have the ham on a breakfast Jack. Been ordering them without it most of my life.
Just like all the rest. Bathroom could have been a little cleaner that's why I didn't give it 5 Stars. Food temperature staff and timeliness was five stars though.
Good food! No changing station in the bathroom! I'm very tired of places not having a changing station for you to change your baby! Also there was a lot of dead crickets in the dining area!

Tacos were great..burger was really tasty. Wish this Jack n Box would teach the Jacks in Port Arthur, Beaumont Area how to make both. Their tacos are so greasy but these on Columbus looked like the picture! Excellent job!
The store itself could use some updating but the employees don't suck so the esthetics of the place isn't that important. This store actually know how to properly make tacos which is rare today at JIB.
98 temp outside and their AC was broken. Feel for people working in the kitchen grill with that heat. Owners need to get the AC fixed! This is not the first time this has happened. Food and service was great! But you could tell employes were miserable.
I'm only rating it so low because every time I go when the overnight guy works, he's rude and always messes up orders, even simple ones. Tonight was the worst. I ordered a normal Jumbo jack cheeseburger, the #4. I got a burger with only mayo, lettuce, and pickles on it. How do you mess that up so bad? And this is only one circumstance. Ask anyone in this town and they'll tell you never go there when that guy is working. Edit 8/2022 Changing my rating from a 0 star to a 4 star. They are no longer open 24/7. The service during the day is pretty decent, employees are usually friendly, and normally gets orders correct. (and I only use mobile ordering honestly)
Maybe it was timing. First, we tried to order one of the Sandwich Truck sandwiches. I was told the cook wasn't in & the guy didn't know how to make it. So we ordered an Ultimate Cheeseburger with onion rings & a Coke, large, & I decided on the Buttery Swiss Jack meal with curly fries. Upon arriving at the window (Did I mention we were the only vehicle in the drive-thru at 2:30 in the morning?), it took over 8 minutes for anyone to get there. I paid in cash. When our food came out, the only things right were the onion rings & curly fries. We had been charged for a burger we didn't order & given other burgers which were nothing like what we actually ordered. It was explained to us that the gentleman there did not know how to refund the money we paid for a burger we didn't order on top of all of this. After much talking, which proved difficult since we are not exactly bi-lingual, we ended up with 2 Ultimate Cheeseburgers, made properly, our 2 drinks, our curly fries & onion rings, & 2 pieces of cheesecake, plus one extra burger. We didn't get what we wanted, what we were trying to order, & nearly everything was wrong, but at least they were nice about it & did their best to make it right.
Took over 15 minutes to get my food during lunch. Restaurant was empty and wasn't really clean. Did apologize for the wait. Ordered bacon and egg chicken sandwich sub biscuit meal with home style potatoes. Sandwich was great, potatoes had great season, but we're overly piping hot!
It shares a parking lot with a gas station. On this particular day there was a homeless lady laying at the front of the door as you came out with a pile of throw up next to her. The lady at Jack in the box was really nice but it cost me over ten bucks for a ultimate cheeseburger meal. Last time I checked y'all are not Smash Burger
My boyfriend had one of the Burgers and it was nasty sauce and then I eat it and it was nasty and I throw up so please do better with your customers food

All I am going to say check your food before you leave. Been here many times and they always get my order wrong. Tonight one of my family members did not get to eat because we didn't receive all our order. Tried to call to inform the store, but the phone doesn't work. We live out of town so it's not like it's a easy fix to just turn around and go back.
I'm always very mindful of people working the window late at night and understand that it's usually just them and one other person. I get that sometimes you "run out" of shakes because it's easier to say that than to clean it again before shift change. No coffee, shakes, or anything, else.
Drive-through order was wrong. Did not get what we ordered. Ordered tiny tacos got some kind of deluxe mess with wilted, lettuce, etc.
It's ok, nothing special. I have had some great food with Jack in the Box but it seems like their places are not kept up with. They are getting runs down and most I have seen need serious renovation. If anyone who has any power in the say on Jack in the Boxes future, please consider the quality of the places you expect people to eat your food...
Normally this place rocks. I visited early Tuesday morning around 6:13. ONE guy was there. I had no problem with it being one guy. 7 minutes for my order. I ordered the mini stuffed tacos and a #4. I was craving that green sauce that comes with the tacos and offered to pay for 2 extra because of 2 orders. He informed me that he only had ranch dressing, which I took instead. I drove 22 miles BACK home and took out a burger that was flat, cold tacos that looked NOTHING like previous orders. Very disappointed that I just couldn't eat the tacos.. You guys need to train your teammates to deliver the same customer service as others. We look forward to Jack-in-the-box... Not happy AT ALL.
Slow... very slow... they were dealing with customer at the counter inside so I was going to drive off and saw the drive through clear so I thought I'd try. They had me wait a little before taking order but not bad, then as I drove up there were two cars I had not seen already at the window. After waiting a couple of minutes with no progress, we backed out and left.
Had to wait at the order box at the drive through until I said something then got an attitude from the employee. They're also out of Tea but they've got plenty of attitude. She drops the bag of food for the people in front of me. They got our of their car to pick it up on this rainy day and she didn't give them anything new. She also didn't say a single word to me at the window, not even my total. They must be out of "thank yous" too. Maybe I'll skip this Jack on my way through next time.

Out of everything....ice coffee and iced tea. Got our food in the drive thru and hen wen tin to ise he restrooms. Oh dear God. ... Filthy doesn't begin to describe it. Toilet paper everywhere. Overflowing trash cans. Toilet full of waste and paper. Disgusting
Service was lacking, likely poor management at the Columbus Tx location. I waited in line at the drive thru 20+ minutes for a burger and fries. Seems they rarely have iced tea ready by the noon hour. The burger was nothing special and the fries were overcooked.
Went through the drive thru to order. I was told to wait to order. I waited for at least 5 before I started to say hello about three times. I then pulled up and sat there for another 3 minutes before someone came up to the window. She had an attitude when I said I had pulled up to order because she never came back on. She proceeds to tell me that she was in the back without her headset to get the registers in order. I ask if I can place my order and she says I would have to come in to do so. I proceed to go inside and am "greeted" by a look and yes. I ask if I can order. She says yes. I place my order and wait for my food. There was no ice and drinks were hot. The restaurant was not clean, customer service was non existent and the atmoshphere was very unprofessional.
Customer service is not good at all. When the order requires the bread to be toasted they barely toast it. Its it doesn't look like what it does on the menu that's called false advertisment. I also didn't get my drink so I had to get back in line and wait behind 3 other cars. By the time I made it back to work my break was over and my fries were cold.

I spent 11 dollars that i will never get back. Food was cold and horrable... Had to wait at window and never recieved all items i ordered. My chicken was only partailly cooked which is very unhealthy and i never got my onion rings... After eating food i spent the most of my next day in the restroom. So avoid at all cost. Pkys the lady taking order rushed me the entire time i tried to order.
I don’t ever need to come here again. Employee was constantly on her cell phone while processing our order. The so called ribeye burger was unrecognizable as meat, let alone ribeye. Mushy texture, only taste was of salt.
Worst service at a drive thru I have ever experienced. Could not take order. People walking up into drive thru to try to retrieve parts of their orders that were incorrectly received. No coffee...they said no one remembered to make it. What a mess of a place!

Filthiest restaurant I've ever seen in real life. 2 dead bugs on the floor in the lobby, green gunk behind the toilet, bathroom had trash all over the floor. Unswept and unmopped dining room floor, just crumbs trash and leftover food sitting on tables with no one bothering to pick up. This place only survives bc people don't go inside and can't see it, they just drive through. Messaged the number at the restaurant asking "how are we doing?" And received no reply.
"Fast" is the operative word in Fast Food. 17 minutes in the drive-through is NOT okay.
We stopped at Jack in crack in Columbus on 12-2-17 @ 6 pm. The drive thru clerk is yapping on phone to her home boy about how he can't becoming up here anymore sellin bc the feds be watching them. Literally we got all that just while she was handing us drinks. So, she then closed the window and never came back, 19 mins later a guy come to window and hands us our food. It was all HOT. But my son's breakfast platter eggs had water standing in bottom of container. Yuck. My chicken tater sandwich was SOGGY and the tacos were cold and SOGGY. No syrup or silerware was given and we order potato wedges <need fork> and the above mentioned breakfast platter <need fork & syrup>. Common people. You keep jackin up your prices but your quality just keeps going lower and lower. Maybe you should use all that extra money your making to hire decent people with at least a little common sense.
Went in the drive through at 7:30 am waited for at least 5 minutes then drove around to the window. All the lights was on but I didnt see anyone . Drove around to the front walked up and the door was locked . If you are going to be closed at least turn the damn lights off to let people know you aren't open.
The bathrooms were passably clean, so that's something. The food was meh. However, we were given apples that had been expired for over a month in the kid's meal we ordered, the apples were visibly brown in places and withered. When my husband took them back, the cashier wordlessly threw them away and disappeared into the back for 5 minutes. Then she came up and told him that they were out of apples. I'm assuming they were just all that old. This was the second time we've had a negative experience there - the past time was when it was in the 40s and they had no heat. We won't be going back a third time.
Would have been nice to receive ketchup for my ToGo fries. Sadly, I didn't order ketchup.
Side doors were locked,we had to walk around to get in. The air conditioner was not working. The drink machine did not have ice or carbonation and the onion rings were over cooked
This place isn’t even worth a star but it made me put at least one to post....Employees have THE worst attitudes when there is even more than one person working, the food sucks, orders never right, and if you go during mid shift forget about getting your order because they won’t take it or answe the mic! Don’t see how this place stays in business! ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!
I have stopped twice with two weeks apart, both times there was only one employee, and was not taking drive thru orders, neither inside, I don't know what he was doing all by himself, and not selling at all, I had to go across street at Whataburger which was open both times.
The food was very greasy tonight not there normal way of doing things. I ordered the chicken nuggets had changed very small and almost no batter on them. We also did not get a receipt with our order. I hope they improve.
Giving this place a one-star is a compliment this place is ridiculous the customer service sucks the manager is very rude didn't one time say sorry for them messing up on my order I called over the phone to tell them they forgot something and the cashier answered the phone and said I don't remember anyone ordering that and hung up... so I drove all the way back up there showed them my receipt and told them I wanted my money back the manager was rolling her eyes and throwing an attitude I asked for corporate number she walked off the big manager approached me and apologize but didn't seem like he even knew what was going on I told him the manager need to be retrained he didn't even seem like he knew what training was I will never again waste my money at this place y'all shouldn't either
Waited at counter for no less than 5 mins with no one before us. Girl taking orders at drivethru looked over with attitude a couple times but never addressed us. We just left.
Went inside instead of drive thru because the line was long and parking was convenient. Waited over 20 minutes for my "fast" food and left to find out they screwed me out of the fries I paid for. What's a burger without fries? How does fast food take over 20 minutes? And when you call to talk to them no one answers and the message doesn't even identify the name of the business? This is not a professional business. And the mini tacos are more like a pile of goo - don't bother unless you like to eat with a spoon.
Waited on line 25 minutes for my food, I was getting two tacos only, (that’s why is fast food) they couldn’t move the customer to go in front of the store and let the other customers get their food, it has always been a bad and slow service
I decided to give Jack in the box a try this morning to get breakfast before work but before even ordered I was disappointed. Before arriving I made sure that this location was open using google. When I arrived to the drive thru to get my order taken, I sat at the speaker for over 5 minutes saying “hello” with no response. I decided the best thing to do was to drive to the window to see what was going on. I sat at the window with no one to be seen for over 5 minutes. Finally what I believe was a manager walked in from the side door and without coming to the window she motioned her hands and mouthed the words “closed” before walking into the kitchen. There was no sign posted anywhere saying they were closed and no one had the decency to come to the window and even speak to me. I won’t ever go back to this Jack in the box. It’s no wonder they have no business.
Today was my first time and last time going to a Jack in the Box. The customer service was non-existent, the mens restroom had no paper towels, and the soda machine had no diet sodas available. The food was good compared to other fast food restaurants but my biggest issue was the service, if your job is customer service you should at least speak to the customer.
This is one of, if not the most, horrifying Jack in the Box's I've ever been into. Not only are the tacos always microwaved, but the employees are all inept, and COMPLETELY uncaring. If you time it just right, you can usually catch a good ol' curse-along musical escape, with the managers leading the chorus.
Bought tacos and 2 drinks: a sprite and a Dr Pepper. There was something wrong with both drinks. They tasted like chemicals and after one sip, we both began to feel unwell. We discarded the drinks and didn't feel sick any longer after about 30 min or so. The tacos went to waste because they were cold and soggy by the time we felt better. We were traveling so we weren't able to return the order and get our money back.
This place is terrible!! At 6:15 on a Monday night everything was lit up (signs, lobby, etc.). Parked and went to go in, but the doors were LOCKED. Three cars in dive-up, so I got in line. Got to speaker and asked why doors were locked. I was told, "there was only 2 of us working, and I'm the only one that speaks English". I was told to pull forward and place my order at the window. WHAT!! I'm speaking with you now, why can't you take my order. Finally after 10-15 minutes, I got to the window, placed my order and paid, I noticed a Grilled French Toast on the receipt. I did not order this. I was told that was the Grilled Cheese I ordered. (The employee couldn't find the Grilled cheese on the register (they never can) so she just rang up a Grilled French Toast and told the cook to make it a Grilled Cheese.)
My family and I waited 10 minutes when there was No One in front of us. There were only 3 people eating inside and about two cars in the drive thru. They saw us standing there and didnt offer help or acknowledged that we were there. Finally, when this lady realizes she cant avoid us, she rolls her eyes and approaches the cashier and yells at one of her coworkers "you know I dont give a f***", as we were about to order. It was enough for us. We didnt want to eat there and as we walked away she said "fine with me". This place was dirty, unkept, customer service was awful. Don't eat here. Obviously nothing is done about the complaints. Management is just bad.
It was one of the dirtiest and slowest places I have been in a long time. The women's bathroom was dirty and was out of toilet paper. There were 3 or 4 people working but only one was really doing much. A man ahead of me said he had been there awhile and we were the only ones in there. I ordered a hashbrown and a biscuit, that took well over 10 minutes. Will not be back.
Jack was not open at 7:00 a.m. today. Towing a trailer so couldn't pull in drive thru. Doors locked to walk ins when sign says dining room open at 6. One crew in there who left shortly thereafter. Thanks Jack. Donald's Donuts rocked!
Stoped here because the line was short. Employee was very friendly. Burger tasted ok but fried had a gross almost burnt cooking oil taste to them. Or it may have been used for diffrent foods. The ice water had a strange tint to it. Dumped it because i did not feel comfortable drinking it. Employee told me it comes out of the machine that way. Over all felt this meal was a waste of money.
I was in the drive thru line, which was only 5 cars long, for a little over 30 minutes, and the lady who took my order was rude. I'm willing to put up with a lot when I'm hungry, but y'all. This is Jack in the Box. Thirty minutes. Why.
There is a guy working there that had dread locks when I went in a few days ago that had an awful attitude. I don’t even know how he has a job there with an awful attitude such as his. All I asked him was if they can remake a burger that wasn’t made right and he began to catch an attitude telling me what he heard me say . Which I know what I had asked for on my burger and I repeated it to him twice. Hopefully they’ll get someone else to work the counter with a better attitude than his

The worker who takes the orders, is too rude, his attitude was grotesque. He’s a man with glasses and long hair. Don’t come to this place if you want good service.
I decided to stop for lunch, but the restaurant was dirty, and the women's restrooms were absolutely disgusting—they smelled horrible and were filthy. The service was terrible; it took them 25 minutes to bring me some tacos, and I was the only person in the restaurant. Rachel provided terrible customer service. I will definitely never go back.
If I could give zero stars, I would. Each time I’ve visited this location, the drive-thru service has been disappointing. The staff consistently display poor customer service and lack basic courtesy. It feels like having an attitude is the norm rather than the exception. I expect a minimum level of professionalism, especially when dealing with customers. This experience makes me reconsider returning in the future.
It should have a rating of 0 stars, because the place is really unpleasant, the cashier is rude, the sauce tastes horrible and the food is cold, the sodas taste like water. But the ugliest thing is the attention to take orders.
There is a guy that is probably 5”8 to 5”10 with dreads that was so rude when I came through the drive thru. He seemed really frustrated and seemed as if he wanted to fight me all because I asked if they can give me fresh food because everything was cold and the tacos was soggy. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you bring along some boxing gloves because the worker would want to fight if you ask for fresh food
Rude people that work the drive thru. Make sure you have a good 30 minutes to wait for the drive through every single time you go. And if you pull around your still probably going to have to go in to get your food because it takes so long.
