Solid langzhou noodle place. They make their own noodles in the back, and the quality is excellent. The price is fair as well and the orders were quick even for dinner. We order a nice variety of dishes, and each one was really good, from the dumplings to the noodles and fried rice. Solid location and yet not too busy. Wonderful, give it a try if you have the asian food cravings. Enjoy!
The handmade noodles were great! The big plate chicken is my favorite. Very big portion with reasonable price. Nice waitress and good service as well. I will definitely come back again.
Got my yaba daba doo... internal Fred Florine out here with great homemade noodles. These rib bones are intense, tender and flavorful. Wish the soup would be spiced like a Taiwan version. Clearly Lanzhou is different. Noodles were al dente and stick to your bones for sure. Favorite place in Concord area.
Lanzhou is an ancient, desert city on the old Silk Road so its culinary heritage is as wide as it is deep. While I’ve not been there I would like to think the food here is pretty authentic Gansu province cuisine. It’s always a good sign when a restaurant is popular, but it’s a better sign when an Asian restaurant is full of Asian patrons. Everything we had here was good. The chili crunch oil condiment (which is mild and has smoky, earthy flavor) made everything even better. Guaranteed I’m going back.
The food is perfectly seasoned. It's fresh. It's very tasty. The sauce is light. Excellent place to eat
Since we arrived they treated us very well, there were plenty of people, the music was soft and we could talk together while enjoying the delicious food we ordered, I recommend this restaurant if you want to get out of the ordinary this is a great option, I recommend the pork and prawns xiao long bao, pork steamed buns, Lanzhou beef noodle soup and the combination fries rice!! it waa so good!!
This spot was worth the try. We ordered the Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup, Braised beef noodle soup, Spicy Wontons and Spicy pig ears. All was on point! Portions were nice and heavy and You can customize what type of noodles you want on each bowl. Will be back to try other dishes!
Everything is so good! Good service and clean. The waitress was very knowledgeable and recommended a few dishes for us to try. The appetizers was very good. Some of my favorites growing up. My favorite is the cold skin noodles. So flavorful and yummy. The texture has a nice chew to it. Also try the cumin lamb chow mein with the flat noodles. Love the spices and flavors of it.
I went there for lunch today. I order the Lanzhou noodle. The thick noodle. It’s really good. The noodle is all handmade. The waitress Elaine is very friendly. She is very helpful when I asked her what should I order. She explained the different options like the soup base and the different kind of noodle. She is fantastic. The salad is really good. The shredded potato is very tasty. And the spicy beef has very good flavor. It’s definitely a great place to get lunch. I highly recommend it.
If you have a craving for noodles, try this place. It is freshly made noodles on site....Chinese hand pulled noodles with 4 different dimensions of thickness available and it was delicious! Perfectly "al dente" whether in soup or dry. The clear bone broth was not overly salty nor were the beef ribs. The ribs were also fall off the bone tender. Everything we have tried here was delicious. Although I have been here several times already, I can't stop thinking nor craving their noodles and of course had to come back again. They were kind enough to offer me a military discount. I, as a veteran appreciated the gesture.
The last time I had a proper bowl of Lanzhou Beef Noodle soup was on a trip to Beijing and this restaurant brought back all the memories and tastes. The food here is amazing and all at great prices. We tried both the signature beef soup and the Lanzhou beef noodle soup and they were delicious. As part of your order you can choose what kind of noodle to add to the soup and the spice level. The serving sizes are huge and offer great value for the price. When we came this place was already filling up so it’s definitely a popular spot. Will be back here for sure!
This was quite good. Lots of food. The bowl is much larger than how it’s depicted in the picture. The seaweed salad was a bit salty. It did pair well with the soup which was surprisingly not a beefy soup base. The noodles were extra long. I can see why they provided scissors. The ambiance was quaint. Service was excellent. Plenty of parking, even in the evening. The beef ribs provided were HUGE. Couldn’t finish it, so we took it home with us. Definitely, coming back and sharing it with friends and family.
I've been here a couple times now and I've been very pleased every time! The place is so cleanable ND the service is friendly and so fast! I can't overstate how quick the food came out! My friend and I ordered the cucumber in garlic sauce and celery mix with bean curd. Both were delicious appetizers, the cucumber especially. The garlic sauce was very garlicky and cucumbers were fresh and crisp. I also ordered the wontons in chili oil. They wontons were plump and juicy and the chili oil added great flavor with a hint of heat. My main entrée was the beef bone soup. The hand pulled noodles were great! I got the wide noodles and loved their chewy texture. The meat on the rib was so tender and easy to bite into. They also soaked up that delicious beef broth. I'm absolutely coming back here again, especially when it's cooler weather! Great food and really fast service!
Incredibly delicious, fresh, hand pulled wide noodles with a rich broth and good portions. The order came out quickly and the staff were super friendly! 10/10
Pretty amazing place for noodles. Get to pick your size of noodles. Pork bone, traditional and regular beef all hit the mark. Side dishes are simple but tasty and you'll get some coupons if you spend enough. Good size portions for sure.

Highly recommend their beef noodle. Freshly pulled noodle and consistent high quality with the broth and beef. Always have a better experience here than they sister shop in Fremont, and I'd prioritize a stop here every time I come to Concord. Other dishes are decent too. Can get crowdy especially during peak hours, so expect a queue!
Best and authentic soupy dumplings in the area. Other plates like the name says it's a impression of Lanzho noodles, but still tasty and unique, noodles are hand made in the momente Fair price, quick service

Noodles were tasty! Came here for an early lunch on the weekend and it wasn’t too busy. We ordered using the QR code on the table- they could take your order as well, but I’m sure the self ordering helps them when they gets busy. I really like how they had different noodle type options for the noodle soups. I got a tomato beef noodle soup and there was lots of meat and noodles! Sweet and soupy tomato flavor and good portion size. Only thing that was off putting was receiving children’s craft scissors to cut our long noodles 😅 not extremely effective for our hand size and sharpness. I would come again though :)

I’m a native of Lanzhou so I was excited to see this restaurant open in Berkeley. We visited on a Thursday night at 7pm and it took around 25 minutes for a table to become available. We ordered two bowls of Lanzhou Beef Noodles (one with the regular thin noodles, one with the thick round noodles), a roujiamo, and a celery and bean curd salad. The salad came out first. It was mostly bean curd and not much celery. It tasted mostly of sesame oil and some garlic. The noodles were hand pulled in the restaurant and you could see the chefs working the dough and making each bowl fresh. They the right texture and are the right thickness - like you’d get in Lanzhou. But the soup was lacking depth of flavor. It didn’t taste like a beef bone broth with Chinese spices simmering for many hours. It was rather bland. The chili oil was also not super fragrant, and the radish slices were too raw/not pre boiled. The roujiamo was okay. I’m not a fan of green pepper chunks and the slightly sweet braise that they cook the pork in, but that’s a personal preference. Service was efficient and friendly, if not minimal because the restaurant was super busy. And that’s what I suspect causes the bland soup — too many customers and they had to keep topping up the beef broth with water, thereby diluting the flavor. I’d be curios to see how it tastes earlier in the day when the soup was freshly made.

Feeling under the weather today. Ordered a beef noodle soup with extra noodle. When the food came, I realized it's too much for me. Then I asked to-go. The waiter started packaging things up but was stopped by the waitress, a short old Asian female wearing glasses, she told him there's no soup for to-go order. And she looked at me like I am going to take advantage of the soup. I really don't like her looks. When I finished eating, I had some left over food and asked for a box then she started mocking and talked secretly to the waiter so they could laugh together. Really rude and extremely poor customer service. I would not come back again if I see this short Asian lady wearing glasses. To the owner of this business, consider proper training for the servants so they are not rude.
I tip for excellent service and food. Tips are entirely optional, please do not ask customers for a tip and then interrogate them when they choose not to. Noodles arrived without scallions or vegetables. After payment, your host refused to retrieve to-go containers. Your business was not busy when we arrived. I had to call one of your waiters for another container for the soup. Food was very tasty, but I will not return due to poor service.
I came here with my mother, who only speaks Chinese. One of the waitresses — an older Asian woman wearing glasses — was extremely rude and unprofessional throughout our visit. She clearly understands Chinese, yet deliberately refused to communicate in Chinese and insisted on speaking English, which made the experience very uncomfortable for my mother and me. This felt unnecessary and disrespectful. In addition, her attitude was unfriendly, and she made us feel judged rather than welcomed. Dining out should be a pleasant experience, especially for families, but this was far from it. Can the boss please take a look at how the staff treat customers? This kind of behavior has a huge negative impact on the overall experience.
