This is the kind of Mexican food I crave when I travel to the area. You can’t get food like this in Dallas. I got the tacos Al carbon and the fajita chicken was SO GOOD. And their beans have a really good bacon flavor. And the queso was so good and you get a side of it with your tacos. 10/10 I’ll be coming here every time I visit! :)

This was our first time trying out the restaurant and the food was amazing! The salsa and tortillas were very fresh. The quesabirria was delicious and the plating of it was so cute. Happy hour and lunch specials daily with great portions in the entrees. Will definitely be coming back here!

This space has definitely been improved upon. Better lighting, great salsa, margarita was a little bit of a different take in a great way, and the staff was very attentive but not overwhelming. We'll be back often.

Great casual place for lunch or dinner. Service is always pleasant, warm and friendly. Certainly gives a southern charm vibe. I highly recommend the Citizen Chicken, Mac and Cheese balls, and their salads. I haven't ventured too far from those options but I'm sure everything is great. The ambiance is a bit slower and not usually packed during the week so it's a nice place to go to and unwind. There's also a large patio area out back that you can host large gatherings in a separate room for private events.

The boned-end pork chop was tender, moist and overall excellent. My side of Brussel sprouts were as good as I’ve had. My wife had the Sea Bass, a dish she seems to only find prepared well when we travel to the Caribbean but really enjoyed CG’s version. Our waiter Devin was top notch and a joy. My only complaint was the over generous portion we received of an amazing bread pudding. So, the service was great, the food was excellent and pricing was quite reasonable. We highly recommend CR for a nice dining experience!

I just wanted to share my experience from tonight it was New Year’s Eve perfect weather we got sat with Abby she was wonderful on the patio she turned on the heater for us, our food was great she got extra things needed for my sons dietary restrictions done, she asked if we wanted to get some tasty carrot cake but we were stuffed! we could tell we were one of her last tables but she didn’t rush us or anything she was great! I saw another review on here saying that she was not the greatest and too my knowledge she was great we were sitting on the patio close to the table that left a review and there drinks were full she even brought them more ice because the heater was melting their drinks, I’ll definitely be coming back to see her she even works in the bar and told us about the lounge area and invited us to join the VIP with a card she gave us!

Citizen Grill absolutely knocked it out of the park! We ordered the BBQ burger and the Chicken Marsala, and both were outstanding. The BBQ burger was juicy, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor — easily one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. The Chicken Marsala was just as impressive: tender chicken, rich and savory sauce, and cooked to perfection. You can tell real care goes into their food. What truly elevated the experience, though, was our waitress, Bonnie. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome from start to finish. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she checked on us just the right amount to make sure everything was perfect. Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. Citizen Grill has definitely earned a return visit — highly recommend!

What a great experience. First time there and it was great. From the time we walked in they greeted us with exceptional customer service. Glad they told us about the lounge in the back with a more relaxed atmosphere. Bartenders were great and the drinks even better. Want to change an ingredient, no issue. Now the only complaint is the food was a little spicy for me and might want to be told that. Also, the only issue which is an issue. Please leave pooperie instead of the air fresheners in the bathrooms as they killed my wife’s throat as she is highly allergic. She basically told me going to the bathroom ruined her meal

I have been to Citizens Grill many times and have always had great food and great service. I went two days ago and had chicken tortilla soup and a half Reuben sandwich from the lunch menu. It was absolutely delicious, so much so that I wanted dessert, which I never order. I highly recommend the carrot cake! One piece is enough to feed about three people so be warned. My server for lunch was Sage, and she was so lovely and attentive even though I was dining alone and would have been easy to ignore. I love this restaurant and all of the staff and highly recommend it to anyone.

He made me hands-down the best Cosmopolitan I’ve ever had — like actually perfect — and his energy completely flipped my whole mood around when I was having a rough day. He’s one of those rare bartenders who makes you feel genuinely welcomed, like he sees you and actually cares. I left feeling lighter, happier, and already planning my next visit. Plus, the tomato soup was amazing. Truly a great experience all around!

This is my “go to” restaurant in Montgomery County. They have a broadly diverse menu that will satisfy whatever type food you’re in the mood for. It can’t be easy to offer such an eclectic selection while maintaining consistent excellence but they’ve managed to achieve that time and time again over several years. I’ve never been disappointed. The service and atmosphere are fantastic. Their bar service and dessert cart are top shelf as well. Highly recommended.

Went here for lunch and it was the best. We all had lunch menu items. I got the tomatoe bisque and it was thick and delicious. Or came with a salad and I got the spring chopped salad with walnuts, dried cranberries and a sweet vinegrette. The dressing was amazing. My clients got the lunch with shrimp, which they got coconut shrimp with half each of sweet potatoe fries and onion rings. Also came with coleslaw. We ordered the carrot cake shake and it was amazing. Confirmed it is made with the amazing carrot cake. The host at the door was a true gentleman and made us feel perfectly welcome. Was a blessing to be there.

We stopped by due to the dog friendly patio. The restaurant is big and bright with lots of windows. The patio is screened and has yard games and TVs. Our server was friendly, we chatted with her and her trainee for a bit after we ate. The portions are large and the food was good. We would definitely go back if we are in that area again

Though traffic in the area was horrible, we stopped in for a quick early dinner. There was no wait when we got there and were seated quickly. We received chips and salsa to our table and placed our drink order. The waitress gave us time to look through the large menu since we had not been to this location. The dinning room was large with great decorations. There was a large patio on one side of the restaurant and a large separate dinning room on the other side. They have a full bar with bar seating. The food came out hot and was tasty. The manager stopped by the table and was able to give us a jalapeño cheese dip for the chips since the salsa was a bit spicy for my wife. We have been looking for Mexican food that matches our tastes from the west coast. We had chimichanga and a taco. We had the ground beef and we liked it. This is by far the closest flavor pallet we have come across. We will definitely go back and try other items on the menu. I want to try some of their chicken dishes.

This place was overall pretty good, food was awesome, the atmosphere was the best I've ever seen. But the service? Was mid. We didn't understand anything they said, they forgot to get us the items we needed, and was slow. Over a decent place.

This is sort of a standard Tex-Mex restaurant for this area. The food was quite good. The service was uneven, my waiter less attentive than I might have hoped, but the rest of the staff compensated well enough that I'm reluctant to be harsh about the service.

An enjoyable place. It was pretty dark as we entered but all good once our eyes adjusted. We had a booth that was right next to a high top and did get a lot of noise. Some were there to drink and others to eat but everyone got along. There was a separate lounge area we didn’t go in. The menu was different than some posted on line but had much of the same items, just arranged differently. Prices were a bit high but this mall area is a bit more upscale and consistent with that. Food was good and service was as well.

Stopped in here hoping to decompress, have a couple drinks and some tacos after a long & sad day (I had picked up my friend’s cremains, which stayed with me all that day). I guess I made the mistake of coming here alone. Had my tacos and 1 alcohol beverage, went to the bathroom (no, I wasn’t gone long) & came back to find my table had been cleared with new people sat already. I’m met in the isle & asked for payment, which was rude as hell, to which I said I wasn’t finished, I wanted to have another drink & was gonna order another meal to go, I wasn’t finished. Server offered me to sit at the busy full bar, if I wanted to sit at a bar , I would’ve when I first got there. I wasn’t feeling social able or wanting a bartender in my face. I just wanted to sit heavy hearted and “enjoy” my drinks w chips/salsa in the booth I was in. I was pretty disappointed in service that evening. I’ve never in my life had that happen before. Train your staff to be more respectful & hospitable.

DO NOT EAT HERE! If you are looking for a good republican food place go to The Angry Elephant. They can't cook food at all, the texas toast was somehow hard and not toasted.... my husband ordered fried chicken and got raw grilled chicken and an uncooked bake potato. Literally the worst food in Texas by far.
