Enjoyed a meal and drinks on the enclosed patio with lake view, beautiful and fresh presentation of food and drinks. Very tasty! Feels like a secret find!
The restaurant is perfectly located. If you sit outside you'll be across the water and stage to listen to music. The service, atmosphere and food were phenomenal. Everything we had was great, the food and drinks were super tasty.
We had our family dinner today at Miriam Cocina Latina. Food is excellent - the green queso is a must try. Everyone was happy with our food. Juan did a great job, and was very attentive and friendly. The ambiance is amazing, we ate outside before sunset, and the view is incredible! I highly recommend it!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you ain’t been to Miriam Cocina Latina - Coppell yet, you’re seriously missin’ out! 🔥🌮 This spot is servin’ up some of the best Mexican food in town with killer flavors and a chill vibe. I had the 4 AMIGOS TACOS ($23) – short rib, smoked chicken, pork with poblano & onion, and shrimp. Every single one was packed with flavor, and those flour tortillas were soft and fresh 🤤. No complaints here! My friend got the ENCHILADAS MAR Y TIERRA ($23) – one smoked chicken with mole poblano, one steak with guajillo sauce, and one shrimp with poblano cream & spicy aioli. Sauces were 🔥, but she said the meat was a little tough, so she wouldn’t reorder 🤷🏽♂️. My wife had the COMBINACIONES #5 ($18) – a chicken mole enchilada and a slow-cooked beef short rib taco, plus red rice & black beans. That mole was rich, deep, and straight-up abuelita-approved 👌🏽😋. We also ordered the MIRIAM’S SAMPLER PLATTER ($28), which came with 2 camarones de Tito, 4 bolitas de yuca (crispy yuca fritters stuffed with mozzarella), 2 empanadas, and 2 steak piratas. The empanadas were solid, and our server put us on to the DUO, which includes both guacamole and queso—basically a bunch of different appetizers rolled into one convenient plate at an economical price. It’s the perfect option if you wanna sample a little bit of everything without spending a fortune. And let me tell you, that queso was beyond amazing—smooth, rich, and packed with flavor. Definitely a must-order if you stop by! 🧀🔥 Now, let’s talk about that patio—spacious, great outdoor seating, and a beautiful lake view 🌅. If you’re tryna kick back, enjoy the breeze, and eat some bomb food, this is the spot. Service was great, food was legit, and the vibes were just right. 💯 Would I come back? Sin duda! 🔥
I/we had a great time. My first time as we were (my colleagues and I) wanted some really good latin cuisine. This hit the mark. A definite keeper. Drinks were fantastic and as were the food. I had the Chicken Milanesa and it did not disappoint. The server gave some great recommendations and suggestions. Will definitely be back.
I dined at Miriam Cocina Latina and had an excellent experience. The Caldo de Pollo was flavorful, the short rib tacos were tender and well-seasoned, and the Oscar Old Fashioned served as a perfect digestif. The staff was extremely friendly, and one of the managers, Arturo, even introduced himself, adding a personal touch to the experience. Everything was outstanding!
Lovely waterfront dining with an exciting menu! The staff were eager to accommodate for a memorable experience. My combination plate came with spinach enchilada, shrimp taco, black beans, and rice. The trio of salsas and chips prior to the meal were tasty! The regular house frozen margarita was very satisfying! This restaurant is a wonderful addition to Coppell!
We went with friends here on a Friday night. The decor is cute with fun photos of Miriam, which I loved - showed a lot of personality which also flowed through to the food. Inside was a bit busy and pretty loud; server seemed a bit overwhelmed, but once other tables left she was pretty attentive. Their queso was exceptional! My husband enjoyed his margarita, and I had the best agua fresca (passion fruit). My husband got the Oaxaca Cheddar Cheese Enchiladas and added steak. He enjoyed it, but I think he wished he had gotten something else. I ordered the Camarones Al Ajillo, and it was delicious! The shrimp, rice, and veggie combo just complemented each other so well, and the garlic butter sauce was -chef's kiss- We will certainly go back!
The atmosphere was mellow and welcoming. The service was top notch, we hardly waited for anything. We ordered food and margaritas and had no complaints whatsoever. I highly recommend their desserts, you will devour them within 5 minutes or less.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I went to Medium Cocina Latina for the first time and it was such a great experience! I tried their puerco con salsa verde with arroz de coco and it was absolutely delicious — that rice is amazing. The vibe and core of the restaurant felt very warm and lovely. I went on a Sunday evening, and it wasn’t too crowded, which made it even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this spot!
This was my first visit to Miriam's. The food was excellent! I had the Chicken Verde Enchiladas. The waiter was very attentive. For this level of Mexican/ Latin food the prices were good. We ate indoors where it was a very nice atmosphere and quite. The outdoor patio was very popular but a bit louder noise level.
Had an amazing experience at Miriam Cocina Latina. Was immediately greeted and felt welcomed by staff even before making it to the hostess. The restaurant was extremely busy for a Monday with 4 large parties, and while it did slow down receiving our entrees the kitchen provided us a complimentary snack (besides the table chips and salsa) while we waited. All of our food was prepared perfectly and delicious. Highly recommend
It was nice and quiet with both Indoor and outdoor seating available. Service was quick, efficient, and attentive, food was delicious. Will definitely return.
Went here with my parents who are from central and South America and they LOVED the cuisine!! It’s fresh, delicious, music and staff make you feel like you’re on vacation!! Highly recommend trying the 4 amigos Tacos your 1st time here, and then once you figure out which of them you like most… ordering those on your second visit. (Don’t worry you’re gonna want to keep coming back). The tres leches cake is a great way to cap off your meal!!
Overall great experience. Great margarita cocktails ranging from classic to spicy to unique/different so fitting whatever mood you are in. Not your over-cheesy Tex-Mex comfort food, more of an elevated and unique vibe using fresh ingredients but at a reasonable price. Food came out hot and was very good. Several classic hispanic dishes with a slightly different twist but not too weird and was all yummy. I also really appreciated their selection of vegan and vegetarian options that were well balanced, filling and flavorful so can hold their own against some of the meat options (the vegetarian chorizo in my tacos was awesome). All employees were friendly and attentive. Recommend sitting on the patio in any weather as we enjoyed looking out at the Cypress Waters lake area. They have nice clear screens they can put down when it's not perfect weather but roll up when it's nicer out so always comfortable on the patio.
I visited on Margarita Day for the $6 special. I had 2 margaritas and they hit the spot. I tried something small on the menu since I wasn’t very hungry. The cilantro in the soup really brought out the flavor. I liked that they give you 3 salsas with the tortilla chips. The food came quick. Great customer service. The dining area was very posh and Larry was super hospitable.
The first thing you notice is the beautiful decor & patio. We were immediately greeted with wonderful customer service. Maria was the sweetest! She took awesome care of us! The food & drinks were delicious! The view of the lake was a bonus. This place is absolutely amazing!!
Excellent food, service AND atmosphere! They even asked for our toddler grandson's order first so they could get it out quickly. Great attention to detail & very attentive. First time here & we will be back! All the adults had enchiladas and they were tasty.
Im dominican and was so excited to find this restaurant! The food was very delicious. Traditional flavors with an upscale touch. You absolutely need to try the garlic shrimp, was very delicious. And the yucca balls. I just wish they had mofingo or fried plantains. You definidy won't be disappointed with the flavors! Ill be back for the happy hour margaritas!
Great dining experience on a Friday night. Service was wonderful and our food came out super fast. Everyone in our party said the food was excellent, and even our 18 month old downed his quesadillas, rice, and beans. This is definitely a new go to!
We went there for brunch and ate on the spacious patio. The food and service were excellent! We had the Denis Omelette, waffle and chicken, and breakfast quesadilla. We also had a fancy mimosa with fruit and juice frozen in a big ice cube and as it melted the flavors were so yummy.
My friends and I had such a great experience here tonight. I started with the bolitas de yuca, which were crispy, golden perfection with just the right balance of flavor. For my entree, I ordered the pollo poblano which was crispy ,flavorful chicken with a rich sauce that tasted fresh and flavorful. Dessert was the coconut creme brulee, which was creamy, light, and had the perfect sweet crackly top. I paired everything with La Lola, a refreshing cocktail that complemented the meal beautifully. My friends also enjoyed their meals. The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful, but what really stood out was the service. Our server Amy was amazing. She was warm, attentive, and with her recommendations. She made the whole dining experience feel special. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending to friends and family.
Miriam’s Cocina Latina Cypress Waters, TX We’ve had the chance to visit Miriam’s Cocina “Dallas” location and we were thrilled when the Cypress Waters location planned to open right in our own backyard! Miriam, as she greets you at the door is the most genuine owner/restaurateur you can meet. So loving and caring and it shows throughout the food, drinks, and overall ambiance of the restaurant! Roberto Our server Roberto was very knowledgeable and gracious and suggested a myriad of menu items to try from drinks, appetizers, and main courses. If you’re looking for great latin food and drinks with impeccable service to match, make sure to visit Miriam's Cocina Latina does not disappoint. We can’t wait to go back and try their happy hour menu! Thanks again! Appetites and Origins
This place was absolutely great hosting a large group at lunch time The appetizers filled me up and I didn't even need to order a meal but the special sounded so good I had to The chicken Verdes enchiladas was very good and I highly recommend the sampler platter for the appetizers.
Amazing Latin cousin restaurant, love the food. Amazing taste the food was very delicious. Would definitely come back again.
The best Mexican food we have had in the area! Food was amazing and fast. Drinks were delicious and the dessert was superb. Great place to celebrate a special occasion like my birthday, have a lovely date or just come for a very yummy meal. Service was fast and everyone was friendly. Highly recommend.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A 5-Star Visit to Match the Dallas Location! We’ve been longtime fans of Miriam’s Cocina Latina in Dallas, so on our first visit to the new Coppell location, we were excited to see if it lived up to the original — and let me tell you, it absolutely does! From the moment we walked in, Miriam herself was on site, welcoming and gracious as ever. She surprised us with some appetizers and drinks that set the tone for an amazing night — thank you, Miriam! The yucca frita balls stuffed with cheese were out of this world — crispy on the outside, melty on the inside, and packed with flavor. The green queso with guac and chips was the perfect starter combo — creamy, rich, and addictive. Now let’s talk about the Red Snapper. I’ve had it many times at the Dallas location, and I had to order it again here. It’s fried to absolute perfection — crispy skin, tender inside, perfectly cooked, and a portion size that could easily feed two or three (though I gladly finished it myself — it’s that good!). If you’re like me and prefer cilantro rice over coconut rice, that swap with the vegetables takes the dish to another level. And if you’re someone who likes their food ultra-salty, just know — this fish is naturally seasoned to let the ocean-fresh flavor shine. It’s honestly like catching and frying it yourself — that fresh! The drinks, the atmosphere, the presentation, the service — all top-notch. Just like Dallas, the Coppell location is a gem, and we’re so glad to have another go-to spot. Thank you again, Miriam, for your hospitality and consistency. Can’t wait to return!

Warm, colorful atmosphere with plenty of available seating. The food was well crafted, plated, and delicious. You'll get all the classics, but the quality and variety of ingredients bring the dishes to another level
We went there for Sunday brunch from a Google search and found a gem. The good was great, really nice atmosphere, wonderful service. Definitely would go back
Mariam Cocina was an enjoyable place to eat and a nice option for a relaxed family meal. The setting made it easy to slow down and enjoy the time, especially with the outdoor activity options. - Good food with a solid selection on the menu - Family friendly and offers kids meals - Loved the outdoor seating - Pricing was reasonable and not overly expensive - Everyone we were with enjoyed their meals - Great area to eat outside with games to play, places to walk, and on a lake. - Friendly staff and we did not wait long for our food Overall, it was a pleasant experience and a place I would happily take me family back to.

I love the space. It's cool, fun, and very photogenic. The chips and sauces were also great. They also plant their food very well. As you can see from my pictures, everything is bright and colorful. My actual main course was high quality ingredients, but under seasoned, based on my personal seasoning preferences. That being said, the overall experience was really good. I'm sure I'll be back.
Brunch. Service was very quick and attentive, staff was helpful and thorough. I had the breakfast tacos and Bloody Mary. Both were good and we didn't wait long for anything even though there was a table of 10 and 5-6 tables of 2 when we were seated. Complementary chips and 3 salsas were great.
Tried this spot out of pure curiosity since it took over the old Ascension Coffee location — and honestly, not mad about the change. The vibe is fun and unexpected: part sleek, part playful. Think lime green chairs, pots-as-vases on the wall, cheeky portraits, and a chandelier that deserves its own post. It’s modern with a twist, and it totally works. I got the mar y Terra enchiladas — shrimp and steak were solid, but the chicken was a letdown. No cheese inside either, which felt like a crime for something labeled “enchiladas.” They could definitely use more melty goodness. Drinks were a hit. My friend got their signature mimosa and it was stunning — light, fruity, and beautifully presented. And don’t skip dessert: their raspberry tres leches is rich, airy, and easily shareable.
It is a great place in downtown Dallas. The food was good. The Guac was fresh. The enchiladas and empanadas were amazing. The fajita chicken was dry and bland. The service was great and made up for it. The ambience was also great
Maybe closer to 3.5 stars for my first visit here. Relatively quiet in the early evening on a weekend. Mixed reviews on the entrees ordered. I liked my dish. I thought the mole on the chicken enchilada was pretty good and the chicken itself was moist and not dried out. My wife didn’t like her carne asada. I thought that it was pretty tender but did lack seasoning. Service was fine up to the point where the food arrived but then the server disappeared after that and we had to flag down another server to get our check. 3% added to the bill for the kitchen staff….perhaps that was noted on the menu and I missed it.
The food is great and good options. The restaurant is nice plus has a patio, so more brownie points. Our waiter was not bad, but not great. They were not busy, but I felt forgotten at times. And yes, I was celebrating my birthday 🎂. I do highly recommend the drink Pepino.
First visit to this spot, and overall pleased with the experience. We ordered the Chile Relleno and Pork Belly Tacos. The tacos were good and had sort of a coastal Mexican vibe. It was a little disappointing that the Chile Relleno wasn’t fried, but it was a beautiful plate with good flavors.

Overpriced compared to the quality of food you get, the amount of food is okay but for the cost was highly underwhelming, I feel it’s a Latin restaurant catered to white peoples palate since food felt unseasoned .. Service was mid , I don’t think I would come back since there’s way better options for their prices, the decoration is beautiful and the vibes around the park are good but wouldn’t go there for food. Drink was good though
I've visited the first Miriams in Dallas has always been 5 star service all across. Since starting a new position close to this new location just 5 minutes away I decided to start eating here for lunch at least once a week. The ceviche was delicious just as the other location. Tried a lunch special at a later time and also good as well as the service. This time was different I wanted to try a full entre, the coconut salmon, sounded delicious yet im such a food critic that I wanted to taste without the sauce to taste for the quality and to ensure it would properly cooked well done with moist with the right amount of char, salt pepper and butter or oil....to my surprise it did not taste fresh a bit under cooked. I ordered a glass of pineapple fresh water which dont have refill and do mine are not cheap at all. Again when the food, service and atmosphere are all on point are all on point you don't even notice the cost of things. This time was different the rice portion ration to salmon was almost 3 times. The vigies on top where not all dente and the rice had little to no flavor and a bit dry. To top it off it was past lunch rush and my order still took a bit to come out and unless I asked for another water, not free refill, It would not have been offered. I've had the pleasure of meeting the head chef herself at the Dallas location on my one of many times I visited when I used to office close by and this visit does her no justice. Im sure it will improve as time goes by.
This restaurant used to be absolutely amazing! They changed chefs…. Before the short rib, pork belly, and shrimp tacos were definitely favs. And everything was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and delicious. Now the pork belly so hard you can even bite into it… and the rest tacos and Miriama sampler weren’t not seasoned well. Honestly, disappointed this used to be place that put me into food coma but not anymore… They lost our business.
Please first go and invest in a freaking fountain drink machine. When I pay $4 for a coke, I expect an unlimited refill. You can’t just bring me another coke can and charge me additional $4. Food was okay. Basic Service 101. Take order empty handed. Why would you carry others drink or dirty dishes and stand at my table and take order. Take the time to walk back kept the dirty dishes in the kitchen and come back to take the orders.
