Food was amazing!! For appetizer we got the 5 count jalapeño hush puppies and they came with tasty tartar sauce. Within minutes all 5 were gone and everyone wanted more they were absolutely fantastic! Next time we're going to try the fried pickles. As for our entrées, We got the 10pc fried butterfly shrimp basket with fries and it was done amazingly. We got the fried chicken sandwich with fries too it was miles better than a popeyes chicken sandwich. Also, on top there was a stamp of a skull which was cool. Then last we got the catfish basket with fries and it was absolutely delicious especially with the fresh lemon juice on top. The fries on all of our plates were freshly fried and hot! Overall, we would return to try out more on the menu. On and extra note there was live music which added to the ambiance. The service was also fast and our server checked on us often.

First time visiting the restaurant. The early dinner wait time for 3 people was 25 minutes. We had to wait outside but they had chairs and tables in the shade for waiting parties. Its the beach, so wind blows hard enough to stay cool through the wait. Those waiting are also able to order from the bar and bring drinks outside. All staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about specials and menu items. The food was flavorful and most fish was fresh (from the bay). Even had a piña colada and had to tip the bartender extra because it was amazing and perfectly blended. I hope you enjoy as much as I did when you go.

Had to come to Corpus for a last minute work trip. I been hearing bout Blackbeard's for a while so we been wanting to check it out. Unfortunately I got the hours wrong and showed up right at closing time. We were really disappointed when the host told us they were closing, but a cooks was there an actually said it was no problem they'd turn the frier back on and make sure we got taken care of. We were so impressed. Even at end of shift, the staff was so cool the server Dommonik was a really good waotress and the food was so good. Even tho I messed up hours they made sure to still take care of us and that has exceeded the expectations. All the good reviews are deserved and I will def return !!! During better hours next time lol!!

I've been wanting to go for a while and finally got a chance. We weren't disappointed. I would have liked to meet the Poltergeist, but the food did not disappoint! I got the Diablo Shrimp Pasta dish. I wouldn't call it spicy, but it had good flavors. My husband got the fried fish and onion rings. They were amazing! And the seafood queso was also great

The food was not that good I got fish baskets both were gross however we also got grilled fish and shrimp that one was good. It was very unfortunate fish baskets were gross my daughter and I didnt get to eat

I took my mom to Blackbeards this evening for dinner. The food was Delicious and the service was excellent. I highly recommend the Baja tacos. Our server, Destiny was very attentive and friendly. She even recommended a great dessert choice! The chocolate explosion was a great way to wrap up a fantastic experience. We will certainly be back.

We had the chicken fried chicken and baked potato. Chips and salsa for an appetizers. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We arrived at 9:20pm., and we weren't to sure if we would get good service or whatever they had left over, because they close at 10pm. But there was nothing else open that we wanted to try. So we took a chance and glad we did. The food was fresh and delicious and our waitress was still energetic. We definitely recommend this restaurant on your next vacation.

We were looking to eat somewhere near the aquarium and were not disappointed with our experience at Blackbeard's. 💜🏴‍☠️ We went around noon and were seated immediately. The staff were friendly and quick, always attentive if we needed anything. We highly recommend the Shrimp Sampler to start off your order 😋 and it satisfied all of our cravings. The entrees were delicious and well-portioned. The parking lot is limited and fills up quickly, but is walking distance to nearby hotels. We also enjoyed the atmosphere with rock/metal songs that are not too loud so that you can enjoy conversations. Amber was awesome, and we look forward to returning soon! 😁

My husband and I decided to come here for our mini vacation/honeymoon. This place gets super busy so we decided to take a seat at the bar. We had an amazing bartender (Cathy) & the food was delicious. Definitely recommend the seafood queso! Love the live music & special drinks! We loved it so much, this we’ll definitely be a place we will be back to!

10/10 STARS FOR THE FISH TACOS. HANDS DOWN BEST DISH HERE!! If you don’t get the blackened fish tacos, what are you doing??? It’s so satisfying with the soft tortilla and COCO LOCO SAUCE! Everytime I come to CC we always order it! I also had the Aloha Burger. Compared with the Blackbeard burger, it has a different sweetness to it which I LOVED!! Order the Aloha burger if you like that balance of pineapple with the burger and you don’t want it too “meat”-ey, and order the Blackbeard burger if you like that classic cheesy and meaty burger. I also tried the Diablo pasta with the salmon! It’s good but I feel like it wasn’t warm enough. But these don’t compare to the phenomenal fish tacos!! Our waiter was super sweet, and overall I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place! But you need to order the BAJA FISH TACOS!

We were on vacation and went to this restaurant! It was great! Food, service staff, and atmosphere (Kid/family friendly). Loved our waitress! She is her dad's favorite daughter and I know why. Everyone was so sweet to our granddaughter. She loved her food and all the staff.

Popped in for a quick lunch after a tour and couldn’t have picked a better place. Exceptional service, good atmosphere and excellent food prepared to order. Every dish had great flavor and sauce blends. All ingredients fresh as well. Price point per person is under $20. Waitress also offered to go cups of water before we left, which was beyond thoughtful for the summer heat. Free parking lot for restaurant patrons available.

Whenever I'm in Corpus Christi, this restaurant is a must visit! The food is incredibly delicious and flavorful. The way they cook their fish is to die for; sooo tender, it literally falls apart. Huge props to the friendly waitresses/waiters, also! This will always be a fan favorite of mine.

The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was very friendly. My wife, and I were very impressed about the prices, and the quality of the food. We started with the Seared Tuna appetizer, and the Tuna just melted away in our mouths. Then I had the Catfish basket which was the best Catfish I've had in a long time. My wife had the Baja shrimp tacos, and the sauce with the Shrimp was the perfect combination for deliciousness.

The aloha shrimp and the grilled fish they did were excellent. We tried redfish and ocean trout and everything was done at an excellent fashion. We went there twice and really enjoyed their seafood. Not a fancy place by any means but they treated you really well. Would highly recommend it

We have been to Corpus about six times the past 5 years. We have gone to several local places but despite this place being ranked in the top 10 on Trip Advisor some how we missed it. Well, we finally went and glad we did. My wife and I decided to get baskets so could try the food. That was a good choice. Don't let the outside fool you. We both got shrimp with our baskets. I got coconut and my wife got the regular fried shrimp. Shrimp were large and plump and had excellent flavor and were perfectly cooked. I had a 2 item basket and got the catfish and it was perfectly cooked. Nice and flaky just enough batter that had nice crust. The sauces served were all excellent. Not sure if they are house made but tasted like it. Our server Kyle as great and took good care of us and was friendly and personable. We are adding it to our places to go every time we come back to Corpus.

Loved this place so much we ate here 3 times in 2 days!! Service was fantastic, and every meal was great. If you like a good cocktail don't miss the grog. The crab cakes were amazing, equally good was the blackened swordfish, fried catfish and the tartar sauce is on its own level!! Even the potato salad had it's own great flavor, this place is a must see!

This was an EXCELLENT meal!!! Not one thing we had that was sub-par. We ate everything and had to take dessert to go haha Family friendly seating (non-bar side) with enjoyable atmosphere. We went a little after 7pm and were thankful we could get seated right away for dinner. We are here visiting over spring break. Everyone on staff was very friendly, courteous and attentive. Portions were great and things were ready fairly quickly. We spent around $112 for 4 adult meals, drinks and 2 desserts.

Not sure what all the bad reviews are about but we had a great time. There was a 20 min wait for a table but it went quickly and the rest of our service was great and quick. Our server, believe it was Destiny, was amazing and friendly and super great. All the employees seemed great too. The decor is very cool and for a beach restaurant it was a very fun place with great staff, don't usually get that so close to the water/tourist spots The food wasn't overly amazing or fancy, but it was good. The Diablo pasta wasn't spicy enough according to my husband, but otherwise everything was delicious. And as long as you don't get a fancy drink, everything is very reasonable priced. It's worth a visit if you're in the area and hungry

This little gem was perfect! Service was impeccable, food was finger licking good, the place was very clean, and the music just the same! Our server was fantastic! She was friendly, funny, and just an absolute pleasure! Whe had ordered the jalepeno hush puppies and fried calamari to start with (ate it before I could get a picture) and they were devoured within minutes between all 5 of us. The sauces were on point with accompanying the dishes! All of our cups were full the whole time as well. When our main dishes came out, they were nicely plated, hot, fresh, and full of flavor! Not to mention the prices were very family friendly! I just love finding these type of places! This will be kept on our list of places to enjoy again!

My husband and I visited this quaint place on our way home from White Cap Beach in Corpus Christi. Our waitress was fantastic, she was patient, knowledgeable, courteous and very attentive. The steak my husband had was prepared perfectly. I had the fried fish combo and everything on the plate was delicious. The oysters are breaded with a light corn meal. The fish was fresh and deliciously seasoned. The shrimp were a good size and also deliciously breaded. I do recommend Black Beards.

A kind of hole in the wall place. I ordered the Shrimp Diabolo and the calamari. The shrimp diabolo was creamy and the shrimp was fresh. It had a little kick to it, drawing out the fresh seafood flavor. The calamari was satisfactory. It was rather dry, the breading crumbling at the bite. The vibe of the restarting was lively! Love the live music and guests interactions and providing her songs to sing. The price point was great for the quality of food you’re getting. Overall, I’ll be back to this place when I come visit Corpus again.

Listening to music on Friday night at Blackbeard's. Diablo shrimp was seriously spicy...my lips were burning! Delicious!! My husband had a burger and it wasn't exactly medium but tasty anyway. Service was awesome. Drinks were great. If we lived in the area, we'd make this a regular haunt.

Came from out of town, San Antonio area and found this gem by the Beach great fish and chips ,burger and fries and the buffalo wings were great but could’ve had a little bit more sauce! A nice, smaller place to stop in for good food. We came about 5:00, no problem with getting seated. Our waiter brought menus and constantly buzzed around making sure we had what we needed... We got the Pirate Stew- a bit spicy, but thick and full of sausage, veggies, some crab strands, and I'm not sure what else. It had a Dark, tasty broth. My wife and I split the seafood platter. We still had leftovers... I enjoyed the Grog, and I think my wife had Blackbeard's Punch. Both were very good. We took some cheesecake and key lime pie home for good measure. Both were excellent. As long as you're not looking for "fancy", this restaurant fills the bill quite easily. We will look to stop in when we're in this area again... 👍👍

Very happy with our experience and will be eating here again! Took our family the next day and it was a different vibe in the day. I suggest going in the evening time! My mom got a burger and they burned a skull and cross bones on top which I thought was super cool.

Adore them! I live right by them and usually order out for my regular, yet decided to sit in with my husband and had a delightful, fun waitress who triggered me to try their special. It was an Ahi tuna pizza which sounds strange but it was over the top! She also sold us off the menu seafood cheese dip...over the top too! Had all of this while sucking down fast, like lemonade, a perfectly constructed spicy bloody mary!

I was sooo skeptical, BUT, food was amazing, I had the seared tuna appetizer and it was sooo good and the Baja tacos blackened fish and it was soooo amazing, I had two and was stuffed after a half of one. An unassuming dive with great burgers and fish. The hamburgers are 100% Angus beef, making for a delicious burger. Catfish was perfectly breaded. Good prices and great drinks. Fun pirate decorations. Highly recommend.

Their house margaritas are incredible — you can actually taste the drink, not just the mix, and they go down way too easy 😋 Destiny behind the bar was an absolute gem — so friendly, fun, and just one of those people you instantly click with. Chef Bubba (Matt) came out and made me some off-menu tacos and riblets that were out of this world. You could tell how much pride they both take in what they do. And the prices?! I came during happy hour and was blown away by how affordable everything was for such an amazing experience. The vibe, the food, the drinks, the people — everything was just perfect. The rock-n-roll pirate vibe is always a win, but the food is what keeps me coming back. ​I went for lunch today and had the Seafood Queso Burger, and it might be my new favorite. It’s a blackened Angus patty topped with their famous seafood queso (loaded with shrimp and crab) and fresh avocado slices. I added a touch of jalapeños for that extra kick, and it was the perfect move—the heat really balanced out the richness of the queso. ​Great service, legendary atmosphere, and easily one of the best burgers on North Beach. Don't skip this place!

Amazing selection of seafood burgers and a little bit of this and that that will satisfy anyone. The portions are humongous and The taste can't be beat. The only thing better than the food was the service. Very attentive, polite and made the experience complete.

We came with a large group on a weekend and were happy to find that we got good service.  Water glasses stayed full and beer kept being replaced. One of our meals had cold veggies--but they were replaced quickly.  Their fried shrimp was oily.  The calamari was cooked appropriately. The Diablo pasta was very tasty. Other friends had no complaints about food. Enjoyed the live music.

Cute, cozy, little gem on the north side of Corpus Christi, TX with great food, drinks, and live entertainment. The restaurant was clean and decorated with a beachy pirate theme. The service was EXCELLENT - which was a nice surprise. I didn't expect the service to be good being in a touristy area. The food was fresh, hot, and tasty! We statered off with the seafood queso. Hubby got a cold beer, and I got a Pina colada that was really good. I highly recommend the queso it was soooo good!!!! I had the seafood platter, and hubby had the shrimp poor boy. Hubby enjoyed his poor boy, and of course, I had a bite, so I could tell you about it. It had lettuce, tomatoes, fried shrimp, and mayo on a sourdough bun. It was so good and fresh. I think I will get that on our next visit. I had the seafood platter, which I didn't finish - it was so much food. It had shrimp, oysters, fish, hush puppies, coleslaw, and fries. Everything was seasoned and fried to perfection- lightly golden crust. The seafood was excellent! Lisa Sullivan was playing and has the voice of an angel. I think everyone should have a Blackbeard's on the bay experience. We will have many more meals here.

We didn't have to wait for a table as long as we expected. The service was excellent. Good sized portions. I had grilled shrimp plate and my wife had crab cakes. We were both quite pleased with our meals. Prices are fair. No complaints.

Food was good and fresh Prices were good. Pretty clean restaurant. Service was good. Sword fish was really good. Live music was just to loud. Couldn't hear each other. Peel n eat shrimp and crab cakes were very good

You can tell as soon as you walk inside this place that it has been established a while. It has an old rustic feel like it has been weathered by the harshness of the nearby sea. Our server Victoria was excellent and everyone enjoyed their meals. It's wasn't the best seafood we've ever had but was decently good and reasonably priced. It's worth a visit if you want seafood after a day of visiting the USS Lexington around the corner. Get the Key Lime pie... It was really good!

We were seated quicker than we expected. There isn’t a lot of parking so we parked across the street at the hotel lot. We had great service! The crab cakes were excellent and the coleslaw was creamy, just as it should be. They have a kids menu, too, including a hot dog 🌭 which was a hit with my son and a decent size for a kids meal. My husband had the spicy peel and eat shrimp 🦐 which he ate all of. Definitely a new favorite spot in Corpus! Bonus, they offer a military discount!

The food is great here. The atmosphere is amazing! Friendly staff, and I even loved the margaritas. It's average prices for food drinks are a little higher than normal but nothing unusual when dealing with family oriented places. Everyone should experience there Is a large variety of food to please all tastes.

The grilled trout was fine. The frozen margarita flight was excellent. The key lime pie very good. Large seafood menu. Great service

Stopped by this place while visiting USS Lexington on a weekend. The place was pretty full. Interior was very colorful and funny especially at the bar. Ordered sausage links and fettuccine alfredo with shrimp that came with one piece garlic butter toast. Overall good quality and quantity.

My brother just graduated and I wanted to take him somewhere he had not ever been so we came here, and he really enjoyed it. Literally, he finished his whole plate. I got the ahi tuna app as an entrée as I usually do and it doesn't ever disappoint. Loved every bite. It wasmy first time seeing the margarita flight so I got the frozen & picked out which flavors I wanted... I WILL BE BACK TO TRY OTHERS. IT WAS DELISHHHHH!! They could've put more spicy mayo for my ahi dish, but then again I also could've asked for some which I didn't. Too busy in conversation about brudders last year of HS. The tall handsome manager got my brother a refill of his coke so we liked how attentive he was throughout the restaurant the whole time. I always have a positive experience each time we come here. The seafood is always fresh, just go see for yourself. Staff is always nice as well and always willing to help with anything you may need.

Ordered grilled chicken and shrimp. The chicken was so over cooked I couldn't eat it. The knife wouldn't cut it. Most of the time the food is Good but this time it was sub par.

The food was delicious and fresh. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our dishes. We ordered the seafood queso and chips. My grilled catfish was seasoned well. The fried rainbow trout was crispy. Prices are reasonable. Staff was friendly and efficient. The back room where we were seated was a bit dark. I had to use my cell's flashlight to read the menu.

Children menu is great! Kids loved chicken strips. Blackened fish still had wild taste despite Blackened. Tried grilled fish tacos. Big house burgers still beats these tacos and price too! Saturday night had live music.

Super cute environment. Don’t get the Mexican food; the fish tacos weren’t super flavorful and the charro beans were just beans. The queso tasted a little off; I couldn’t put my finger on what it was. The hush puppies were salty, but other than that had good flavor. I LOVED the fried fish basket; the portion size was huge, it was perfectly crispy, and had great flavor. I was sharing with everyone at the table; we all really liked it. The seafood burger and Cajun chicken were great as well! The live music was super fun and engaging.

Red drum was great, waitress could not have been more proficient. A little run down inside but not off putting. Will return…

Great service! The fried shrimp was very good and the onion rings were liked by everyone at the table except me. They we more heavily breaded that I prefer, but if you like HUGE, thick onion rings with a healthy coating of batter, these are for you! Everyone in my group enjoyed their shrimp, catfish, and burgers and the prices are refreshingly reasonable for the portion size. If you are looking for a touristy vibe with fair prices and a solid selection of fried seafood, Blackbeard's won't let you down.

Great service. Decent food that isn't an overpriced. Fish fillet portions are huge. Shrimp is battered perfectly and delicious. Parking can be an issue when busy. Otherwise the best sea food in that area.

We dined here over Labor day weekend. It wasn't nearly as busy as I had expected we were seated immediately. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. She let us know they were down a cook and the food would take a bit longer than usual. She gave us chips and salsa while we waited. You can tell this restaurant has been here for a long time and locals love it. However, it could use a little updating on the inside. We ordered fried mushrooms as an appetizer and they were delicious. My husband ordered the seafood queso burger and did not like it at all. I ordered the fried shrimp basket, I was also very disappointed with my meal. Our kids had hotdogs and a cheeseburger, which were you average kids meal food. They didn't get many fries. I asked about several menu items and our waitress told us they aren't made in house. I had high hopes on this place based on the reviews but was quite disappointed. We'd go somewhere else next time we're in town.

Well... the kids meal chicken tenders were great! The "special" snapper we didn't even finish. It was dry and fishy. The baked potato was mostly good but kinda burned. The special shrimp Jalapeño things were pretty good but kinda dry and the sauce was not good. Should have been a cream cheesy type sauce. The Beringer wine was good. Haha. The server was new and was friendly and wanted to do good. All in all... probably better during high season

Fantastic staff. Very lowkey and good people. We all had a good laugh watching people next door while they tried to learn to use a ladder. Cool place.and a good location. Well decorated. Great vibe overall. Food was affordable however my shrimp was very overcooked/ fried. It was still edible but dried out and chewy. That wouldn't be enough to keep me from visiting. Good place overall and affordable, heavy portions. Decent local choice.

Considering we were in a beach town we stopped at BB's for some seafood. I was kind of disappointed that they did not offer dishes with local fish other than the "red drum fish." I asked if they had any other type of local fish & the waitress said they had the salmon that came from Alaska 😐. The red drum was not bad, the fettucini and burger were good. All servings were decent. The popcorn shrimp & fried pickles were pretty good. Honestly those were the best fried Pickles I've had, they were not salty at all plus they were crunchy. Establishment needs some updating & cleanliness. Waitress was polite & food was served in a decent amount of time.

The service and the atmosphere were great. The people were friendly, and they had a gentleman playing live music. Our waitress was very helpful and friendly. We ordered a kid's meal for our toddler (popcorn shrimp), and it was great. Our meals were not the best, and plating could have been better (the sides ran into the main dish, and it got soggy). It looks like they do fried foods pretty well, and we will remember that for next time.

Arrived to the restaurant and we were seated at a table with a dead fly on it. The food was ok-fried oysters and Baja tacos, nothing special. I’ve had much better Baja tacos elsewhere.

Really disappointed. I ordered a drink called a mudslide (vodka, Bailey’s, kahlaua, vanilla ice cream and whipped topping ). So the head bartender said she knew how to make it…. So you don’t use ice. I was brought a drink that tasted like a diluted chocolate milkshake. Yes ice was added and no distinct flavors you should taste, especially alcohol. And it cost a crazy almost $12. The most expensive drink I’ve ever had in my 69 years. The cheese dip and salad were good. My boyfriend’s fish was dry with no seasoning, really bland. He said the potato salad was good. My baked potato was dry and overcooked. My fried catfish was moist, but no seasoning. My shrimp was over fried and dry. And if you expect hush puppies, be ready to pay extra. Our meal was an overpriced disappointment. But our highlight was our waitperson Breanna; absolutely wonderful.

The food was not good. My husband ordered fish and shrimp and I had the catfish. My husbands fish had no taste and his shrimp tasted like soap he said. He said on the bright side the fish taco was very good. My catfish wasn't done inside, neither was the hush puppies. Its like they fast cooked everything. Not recommended.
