I don't have anything bad to say always 🔥

I don't know why people are complaining about the service. My husband and I eat there quite often. We never had any issues with the customer service or the food. We usually order wings which takes a while to prepare but that's expected if you want your food to be fresh. They got the best chicken wings and ever since we discovered them a few years ago, they become our go-to restaurant for wings.

First time here and really enjoyed it. I ordered chicken livers and they were great. My grand daughter had the fried chicken breasts and she really enjoyed them. We will be going back.

The new location was excellent for the chicken family order . Fresh chicken with a good flavor of not being grease unlike most fast food establishments . Really satisfied with the quality of products .

I had the best fried chicken gizzards I have had in a restaurant in a long time. Almost as good as my wife makes at home. Their fried okra was fantastic & my wife said her fried chicken was the best she had ever had. The staff were super fantastic .

Good n crisp is a great place to take ur family or just to get something to go.Friendly and Fast customer service !!!

Tried this place for the first time since them moving from old place and I really enjoyed their liver and gizzards as always.Drive thru line wasn't too bad of a wait,they are quick to get them orders out.I will be returning soon.

I keep seeing 1 star reviews about service. Yeah, the wait can be long. It’s long because this is the best place in area for good fried chicken! Love the staff who came over with them from the old location. They work hard! If you’re gonna just complain about them being short staffed fill out an application lol.

First of all when I walked in the place smell clean. I went to use restroom which was clean. I then felt comfortable eating food made by this restaurant. If I see the place and restroom dirty i would not order food here. I bought several sides and chicken tenders. They tasted so fresh, moist and delicious. Will try again next time we're in Corpus.

Been here twice I always get the chicken nuggets they are fresh and hot. They take long but that’s ok because the food actually worth it. Their chicken looks dry or it’s been sitting out there. There cakes are dry. It’s clean inside. The employees are very nice and help you with anything. The only thing I didn’t like was the manager she was on her phone not really helping out and some random guy just went behind the counter and grab a drink.

Tried for the first time and I will definitely be back, service was fast and great plus the food was worth your money! Plate was stuffed and importantly fresh and loved the tea! Prices are good and plenty of parking.

The wait was a little longer then i liked, would have understood if there had been a long line, there wasn't. But the food made up for the long wait. Awesome, tasty and good, very happy with the food.

The guy who took my order at the drive-thru was rude as hell such much so that I went inside to see who the hell it was talking to me all crazy. Come to find out it was the cook. They had 3 to 4 women to handle the front and drive-thru, I don't know why he took it upon his self to answer the drive-thru. All he needed to focus on was cooking. Then I got the food, they forgot my brother's mashed potatoes so I had to turn around and My fish and shrimp plate was sad, the shrimp was so small and the breading was hard and crunchy. Best of the Best maybe in 2014.😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Don't get the Jalapeno poppers, just get more Chicken breast. It's time to do something with your dining area.

We decided to try the chicken business that moved into the old Chicken Shack. They are expensive, must have kept the same prices the Chicken Shack had but not the same chicken. The chicken tasted good along with the sides but they did forget to put the onion rings so we had to go back to get them. The food was good but some of it was greasy.

Bought family 12 pc. fried chkn. Was very salty. Coleslaw as well as potato was good.

Good but not crispy. Check your order they will forget something every time I guarantee!!! Had to take my oder back cause the lady doesn't know what tenders are apparently. When back and 3 people within 6 mins came in saying they forgot stuff.

The order today was messed up in several different ways. One example is that I ordered mac and cheese as a side order, and didn't get it. When I mentioned it, there was no effort to make it right. There were several other things messed up, but I just decided to forget about it. The chicken here always seems to be rubbery and too chewy. Today was no exception. The staff was friendly enough. I just would prefer them to pay more attention to detail and get things right.

The chicken biscuit okra were excellent. Very patient people with me. I only had a 100 Is dollar bill they didn't have change. That was the only problem.

I'd been seeing commercials about this eatery on tv, so we thought we would give a try the next time we were headed home from being out of town. Last weekend was the chance we had to try it. Honestly, it wasn't all that. It sure wasn't as good as the previous restaurant that occupied that site. The chicken was greasy. They left out items off our order. It was kind of a letdown.

We got an order of chicken and an order of gizzards. The food was okay, nothing special. The sides weren't very warm, and the jalapeño cornbread we ordered was left off the order. It'll be a while before we go back.

This was ok food. Like the variety and the have cakes an pies. Price was medium. Service was good. The tenders were cold, the sides were hot. The chicken was warm.

Just left this establishment after going thru their drive thru. The man that took our order over the speaker was rude at best. As if we were bothering him or interrupting. When we pulled up to the window he took our money, without a smile, and told another employee to give us our food. If you don't like working with the public get another job. Service like that can certainly taint an otherwise good restaurant. Good n crisp should do some employee evaluations.

Good chicken, and tenders, the customer service here is not so good. Being new customers, one girl at register assumed we know what certain meals were, when asked questions she had a smart not so smart attitude. Rude. Wait was pretty long for 2 small meals 15min wait before we got our food.

Nice variety on the menu, and the staff was pretty friendly and helpful on the day that I visited. The meal itself was ok. Right there on the edge of being good but just lacking some flavoring with their bites.

Went to good and crisp and waited 30 minutes and I thought oh ok fresh chicken. Oh it was fresh and crispy but OMG so much salt I could not eat it. I called them and they don’t answer. Ugh it expensive and now I’m debating to go back and get my money. Shame same.

I walked in at 9:10pm I asked for Gizzards the lady said no we don’t have none than I noticed the fryers were already turned off. I asked no ya don’t have any at all like ya are out of them she said yes. That’s not what it was, they were just done cooking.

Check your order. Every time I go to the Calellen location my order is wrong. Ordered a large order and didnt check it before I drove off. Missing 4 large sides! Called and was told they can only make it right that day and that is it. I would have to drive 25 minutes to let them get it right then another 25 to get the sides home. Ridiculous

It's very frustrating when you order something off the menu for lunch and they tell you they don't have it. Had my heart set on Chicken Salad yesterday. So I changed my order to something less healthy for my heart and blood sugar only to hear "sorry we are out of Diet Dr. Pepper."

Did the drive thru for a chicken salad combo, red beans and rice.. whoever took the order seems snarky and order took forever. I'm not impressed by the sandwich. In the past it was on a large croissant, today I got regular white bread. 😢

Been going to Good & Crisp since I moved to Corpus and the never failed to disappoint. Until today. I ordered a small corn nuggets(10 count), paid for a small corn nuggets, $4.38 for said 10. Got home, sat down to eat with my family, and lo and behold, I got half an order or corn nuggets. For which I paid full price. When I called to ask about it, I was told that I could not be refunded. Hmmm! Maybe I'll start getting Bill Miller fried chicken instead. They've never cheated me.

Customer service was awful. I’ve been there 3 times now and everytime the person at the window (3 different people) acted like they were bothered I was even there. The food was also awful, my green beans and Mac n cheese were both cold, and the chicken was too pink for me to feel safe eating it. I miss Chicken Shack.

The girl at the register was rude when ordering and when she brought us our food to the table. The chicken tenders, biscuit and tater tots were good but the gravy and green beans had no flavor. I added salt and pepper and still no taste. Cleanliness was 👍.

I really wanted this place to measure up to chicken shack, but nope- not even close. The place was really slow on a Friday. Took a very long minute to be acknowledged and the guy that took my order had zero friendliness and zero personality- throughout the eating of our meal- it is apparent that no one working wanted to be there- grumpy attitudes and deep sighs whenever any customer needed anything- truly horrible atmosphere and horrible team attitudes. Although the chicken was cooked perfectly, crispy, and juicy- it had no flavor- totally bland. The fried okra was mushy and spongy even though asked for it to be crispy. The Cole slaw was just strange- foamy bubbles and very odd tasting- unable to describe it completely, but I advise not investing it. The serving techniques are also interesting- foaming liquid from the Cole slaw all over the tray, fries mixed into the fried okra. Very disappointed in this place.

I don't see this place lasting very long unless they get it together. I read the poor reviews beforehand but still decided to try it. Peoples complaints were mainly rude workers and waiting way too long for food.. I did actually get that vibe. When he somberly asked, "Can I help you..,"on the intercom,I said I was new here & just looking at the menu to see what family meals he had. He didnt respond & I just got the "ugh I have to wait for this lady to decide now "vibes. So I just ordered quickly. I got a 12piece bucket w/2 sides for my family. There was a truck in front of me that seemed to have been waiting awhile.They ended up just driving off & then the guy at the window asked my name to make sure he had the right order so I guess the guy ahead of me just got tired of waiting. Now I didn't wait long, but I will say the food is nothing to get excited about. We paid $33 for lackluster unseasoned chicken, undercooked fries, so-so Mac n cheese,and hard biscuits. Chicken Shack prices but definitely not the same flavor. All in all, I'd rather go to KFC any day.

Arrived at Good And Crisp Chicken on Friday 9th of August for Lunch! Came in from San Antonio to visit my Brother and family on Up River Road in Annaville. I personally ordered a “To Go” order of 7 Chicken Strips with the two sides, Okra and Green Beans! I should have checked my order😩! I got the 7 Chicken Strips but with Cole Slaw and mashed potatoes! My Brother’s order of a 4-piece Chicken Strip with French fries and Okra got himself the 4 chicken strips, Okra and mashed potatoes. Clearly someone didn’t do a quality control check on the outgoing order(a)! And, I agree, WE BOTH should have checked our “to go” bags before we left the place. Apparently in talking to “some”!regular customers this is the rule rather than the exception! The Chicken was the usual Excellently done and crispy! And gets a 5 Star Rating! Customer Service - Hmmm! PS: I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Management plus I have been trained in two culinary schools, managed restaurants successfully, I’ve taught exemplary customer service to wait-staff, I’ve waited on tables and had my own successful catering business. I am now retired and look at things from the other side of the Apron. Blessings!

We use to go to the one on North Padre Island and the chicken was always moist and very delicious. At this location the chicken is very dry and the fake potatoes were not tasty in fact a bit grainy. The gravy had no taste either and the coleslaw was too sweet. We were very disappointed in this location in Corpus Christi.

Some of the worst service I've ever had, had to wait on the food for close to 20 mins and it was still cold when I asked for fresh food they stuck it in the microwave and were just heating it up. Then the manager wanted to argue with me about getting my money back

a year ago it would have been 10 stars. great food nice people! Recently the quality of people has dropped. i guess good help s hard to find, but we kept going for the good food. recently we were told "no more wings. too much trouble to cook them to order. So went lees but stlll went. Then the tenders were next too suffer. Hard as a rock. Gave em to the dogs and got a dirty look for it. Today I'm thinking they should change the name to Good N Crisp Pigeon. the pieces were so tiny. after finishing a 16 piece meal for 4 of us, we ended up going to Whataburger. which is where we should have gone to begin. Macaroni and cheese is still good. But we're waiting to see how they Frak that up

Sweet tea was like diabetes in a cup, $50 for 3 meals, definitely not worth it, but in the bright side, at least we know where NOT to eat when visiting Corpus

The employees in drive thru are very rude, no courtesy, no smile, no greeting. Was told what do you want, how many, is that it. Didn't make me feel like a costumer, more like a bother, no respect, no enjoy your meal, just a pass your bag through the window and that's it. These employees shouldn't be working I in a a place like this, the opportunity should be given to people who know how to be cortious and treat people with a smile, this job should be given to people who really need the job and the work. In conclusion, I would not recommend the five points location to anyone else.

Don’t be fooled by their “Award winning” claims!!! The food was one of the most if not the Worst Ive ever consumed. You are better off going down the street to Popeyes or around the corner to wingstop. Ashamed I even gave them a try. Never returning again.

The girl taking the order was a complete nightmare. Rude for no reason, rolled her eyes multiple times. I wasn’t mistaking the eye rolls because she had her goggles on and I could see her eyes big as her head. None of the cook crew had hairnets.. and when she forgot my sides she gave more attitude like it was my fault.

Most of the employees are super nice then they have the ones who like to argue with the customer when THEY can't get the order right. With terrible attitudes

I can't remember the last time I experienced such bad customer service. I won't ever be back. I don't understand why people are in the service industry if they have zero desire to sell or serve. Guess we'll go to Popeyes or Chicken Shack.

We used to LOVE Good n Crisp. The staff was always friendly, and the food was great. Unfortunately, the last two times the staff has been rude. We order the 25 piece chicken strips and while there may have been 20+ "pieces" of chicken, most were the size of one Mc Donald's chicken nugget. I overlooked them not giving us the full 25 pieces the first time, but since it seems to be the norm now, we will not be going back.

Since they have moved they have went downhill. When I ordered they didn't even ask what side I wanted, I had to tell them. Then I ordered chicken wings and they said 10 to 15 minutes but took almost 30. I finally had to go inside and get my own order. They were not very friendly. I will not be returning.

Once we got here to order through drive thru the girl was rude she was cutting us off while we asked questions. Once we drove up other girl came out to take our money with a drink we then asked why I didn’t get a drink because it wasn’t a combo. The lady at the intercom should’ve said no it doesn’t come with a drink instead she said anything else? she than proceeded to take our money with her hand out with no greeting either. First and last time we will be going back but, the food is great! But not the employees extremely rude. If you do not like your job plz don’t make it more negative to treat customers rudely.

I was trying this place out since chicken shack closed. We had a terrible experience food was cold didn’t bring out all the order at the same time they brought out the fries when i was done eating. Ordered onion rings and they didn’t even mention that it was a 15 min wait, and when i did switch to fries and she brought them out all she said was “here”.I would’ve rather spent my money on popeyes !! If i could put 0 stars i would. never again

Update: CONSISTENT HORRIBLE EXPERIENCES! Decided to go back. Now rating is even lower to 1 star. In the drive thru the attitude is the worst, it's always the worst when its not face to face. So rude. We went and the attitude was so bad that we lost our appetite. Been a long time customer. Won't be back. Not appreciated as a customer. I shouldn't have to pay the price because the order was taken wrong twice. I'm not driving miles right now in this traffic for a tiny thing of corn and ranch and probably without a remake on cheese sticks because I got them the first time around it was just missing ranch. I feel totally unappreciated. The ranch makes a difference. And the bad attitude who took my order also was awkard. But anyways, main thing is to be told to drive all the way back. It's their policy. Their mistakes = Customers pays. Thanks Martin. We won't be returning and Im ok with that because for me it's worth it to not feel like Im begging for a kind gesture for a mistake y'all made not me.

Spent 25 minutes in line with only one other car in front and never got my food. All I ordered was 4 chicken strips and they couldn’t even give me that. Absolutely horrible

The food is ok much lower than years past. The service is terrible. I have gone here for years and the 4 or 5 times I have gone no one wants to take your order. Too many staff members standing around talking. The hours say open at 11:00 the last time I went they did not open the door I could see 4 employees inside and they saw me but still did not open up. I left at 11:12 and 2 other customers left because they refused to open up.

I used to come all the time but the past 4 times I’ve came. The person taking the Order in the drive thru is always rude. And it’s not just 1 person, I’ve seen three different people and they’re always rude. Maybe they should be trained and if they are being trained they’re not being trained well enough. Food is good but not good enough to make up for that poor customer service.

Not great at customers service waited in line forever when I called them they were arguing with another customer about giving them raw tenders with five cars waiting to be serviced…. They used to be great but it’s gone down hill

I always get gizzards with 2 sides. Now my sides were over cooked and this has been twice the okra. Then when I said something about okra and my gizzards were very small not full pieces they said now they cut gizzards in half the way they supposed to be. No other places do that and they used to not do bvn it. They said cause cooks were being lazy and not cutting but now the do. Not worth it. Go to Pete's now, perfect fresh and juicy good.

Absolutely horrible experience. This would have been our first time here. Pulled up to driveway menu. Right outta the gate the girl on the speaker says “help you”, yeah just like that. Then my wife says give us a moment. Then she says can I help you. We place the order, 2 chicken legs and four thighs and a coke. Okay the girl says 2 legs and four fries, my wife said NO 2 legs and four thighs. Then the girl repeats our order. She brings out the food and we give her the card. While inspecting the food because my wife thought the total was not right, the order was WRONG. Then she stands there and looks at both me and my wife and says is it right ? Then she repeats the total like dumbfounded we hadn’t given her a form of payment , but we did I said what ?? And she repeats the total yet again. My wife says I gave you my card ! And she looks at her hand and goes ok. Walks to another truck goes back to the door leading into the store, at this point her attitude was very very poor. I got off the car and walked up to her grabbed my card outta her hand and gave her a down home coaching session about her attitude Nd the problems. We left and we will NEVER return. I cannot wait to talk to the main boss. Emailed. No response as of today.

Ordered 2 piece wing dinner and received 1 wing and a thigh. Coleslaw had way to much vinegar. Chicken greasy and onion rings too thick. AWFUL!!!

Horrible service. People here are rude and indifferent to customers. I have seen them milling behind the counter before they will help you. When they gave me the wrong order they refused to make it right saying that was when the waitress had heard. They argued with a customer when he said his fries were overdone. Not going back. If they handle customers like this how, do they handle the food that they are preparing??

Worst place ever. I'm from out of town n saw this place . We ordered drive thru and they took our order after a few minutes.. but when the girl walked out and saw that we were Hispanic she made a face and asked for paymwnt on an 8 piece family meal. ... Took a few minutes and comes back with our change and just tosses it at my wife who was driving..and says oops sorry. We were like o..k. so we pull forward and they had us waiting for 30 minutes..never received our order so I got out and asked for a refund...the chubby manager was real up set. ..she handed me my money and here I am telling my story. I don't recommend this place to out of tonwners. Especially if ur not Hispanic. Just my opinion. Have a blessed day.

Girl with glasses and nose piercing was rude! Used profanity when talking about me to co workers for something I didn't realize I did, manager was standing there and didn't say anything when I confronted the cashier she closed the window on me and the cook told me maybe I shouldn't go back. All over a sticker. Food was good service was TERRIBLE

I have never had a location fail to serve me before. Generally, when I see one star reviews on a restaurant, I assume the customer is being hyperbolic or was terrible. However, I just spent the last 20 minutes in the drive-thru with only 2 people in front of me and was never served. I was confused when the person in front of me suddenly drove off without ever lowering their window to interact with the drive-thru window, but figured I just missed something. I proceeded to sit at the drive-thru window for 3 minute with no one there, pulled up a little behind another car, and no one ever came out. I understand enough about serving food to realize they were probably backed up, or something had gone wrong, but there was absolutely 0 signage to indicate what was supposed to be going on. No one ever came out, no one ever served me, outside of telling the attendant at the menu what I wanted I never heard from or saw another person.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at the new good n crisp. After placing my order, I had to wait over an hour for my food. When I finally received it, the chicken was cold and unappetizing. The quality was so poor that we ended up throwing it away. Waiting that long for food, only for it to arrive in such an unacceptable condition, was incredibly frustrating. I won't be returning and can't recommend this place to anyone. I don't understand how you can wait over an hour and your damn food is cold!

I rate this location based on the drive-thru service I attempted to get. I had three cars ahead of me and it took about 45 minutes to get past the speaker. I left after because I saw the three cars still there once I rounded the corner. Maybe I'll go back in a few months to see if the service is better.

ONLY GIVING ONE STAR BECAUSE I HAVE TO GIVE IT SOMETHING. This place just replaced chicken shack , where we would go quite often for dinner. We were exited when a similar restaurant took its place. Until we actually tried it. I say try but we never even got any food. Staff was extremely rude from the get go , drive through line was a mile long with little to no movement. When I finally made it to the drive though speaker to place my order , I was met with an attitude from this “worker” so bad that I contemplated just leaving from there. I shrugged it off & chalked it up to “growing pains “ as they just opened recently. I placed my order & pulled ahead. 20 minutes passed with ZERO movement , so needless to say I knew the rest of this experience was going to be horrible , so we drove off. I have been in service for over 20 years & this place really needs to get it together

My first time at this place and was not happy with the service. The girl that took my order on the drive thru was not friendly at all and was very rude! She gave me my food closed the window and forgot to give me my drink. I waited there looking at her like "where's my drink?" She came back to the window and just stood there. I told her, you forgot to give me my drink and she rolled her eyes. My bad you hate your job and you couldn't get anything better! If you can't work around people go work somewhere else where you don't have to deal with customers. Will not be going back.

Every single time we come to good and crisp even with new location, the employees are miserable, they are arguing with each other in front of customers. , you have cashier just standing and instead of “all hands on deck” staff do not know how to work together. Some of the staff just goes at a slow pace :( losing business quickly as they argue and stand around

This place is terrible! We wanted to try the new location for dinner and we were told that there would be about a 30 minute wait. It was fine but it turned into over an hour. The prices have gone up really high and the quality of the food has gone way down. The chicken tasted old and the fries were over greasy. We couldn't even finish our meal and threw almost all of it away. What a complete waste of time and money. Never going back!

We got the 16 tender family meal and we had several 8 finger length tenders not big either and also mashed potatoes where dry. Gravy clumpy and also we had a party of 7 and got told next time we cannot sit in the backroom where tables where connected .. also they had a show on where the guy was a santa Claus all drunk with his shirt off ,mind you the remote to tv was sitting on the table so with my kids around I changed that dumb movie that was on - to cartoons and was told US CUSTOMER Cannot change it due to OWNER SAY . We are the only big group here back room door was wide open. So I told that young girl that I will not have my kids watching that movie that was showing and she said "oh well dont change it next time"

Service was pretty bad, staff seemed annoyed by our presence, we were the only ones in the place at around 3pm on a Friday. The chicken was good but everything else seemed old and was cold. Don't recommend.

Really disappointed with how far this place has gone downhill. The moment we walked in, the cashier looked annoyed we were even there. No greeting, no smile just attitude while taking our order. It felt like we were bothering them just by showing up. When our food came out, our onion rings were absolutely disgusting. They were moldy and barely breaded like someone had half prepped them, saw the mold, and served them anyway. It was hard to miss. What made it worse was that the staff kept glancing over at our table, almost like they knew what they had just served. We asked for an extra paper plate, and again, the cashier rolled their eyes and acted like we were a problem. The whole vibe was rude and uncomfortable. My partner didn’t want to cause a scene, so after we left, he called the place not to demand a refund, just to let them know, “Hey, those onion rings were visibly moldy, that’s a serious health concern.” But of course, no one answered the phone. They never do. This place has become super unprofessional and honestly unsanitary. It’s sad, because it used to be decent. We won’t be back. I wish I could add pictures to this post but it’s not letting me maybe I’ll take this concern to facebook instead. Please choose wisely where you take your family to eat. some people just don’t care unfortunately.

The chicken and tenders can be very dry at times. The wait time is ridiculous. Over 30 minutes for an 8 piece chicken makes no sense. The customer service is non existent. This place needs training in every department. Moved to a new location and they didn’t have any time to work on simple customer service? I would’ve give 0 stars if I could.

One and done waisted $11 on a 2 piece chicken (thigh & wing) with mashed potatoes and fries. The chicken was fresh but geez the smallest pieces of chicken ever, the biscuit was even smaller. For some reason there was dirt in my drink cup before I filled it. Came in on a Friday during lunch, not busy whatsoever I can understand why.

Not only was I disappointed in my meal that I have ordered countless times before service will not even care to hear my concern I ordered the breaded chicken sandwich they literally gave me a chicken tender in Texas toast now mind you not only did they run out of the regular large bun they assured me the Texas toast will compliment my chicken so I did not change it for a three-piece or something else here is a picture I'm not to mention when I address the situation I was not only rudely attended to but no cares were giving whatsoever this will be the last time that I go to this particular establishment and it's a brand new store opened up believe in service would be great I was so let down

We went through the drive thru and order a 25 pc chicken strip family dinner. When we got home we realized we paid over $50 for 8 chicken strips!!! And the rest was just chunks and bits of strips. This place is ridiculously over priced for what we received.

They call these FRESH fries, quality is down the drain at good n crisp, right along with customer service. 4 employees standing around talking very loudly while I had to wait for drive thru employee to maneuver through the crowd to assist me. Then he couldn't hear my order due to the others.
