The food is amazing. You get the drive in feel. Today, my crew and I came for lunch. There was not seating due to busy rush for lunch, but Mrs. Snapka’s gave up her table for us. That was very nice of her.

A great place for a good old fashioned burger and shake. You want to show up as close to eleven as you can, or after 12:30 if you want to avoid the line. I can't stress enough, get you a cheeseburger. You won't be disappointed.

Have gone here for years! Nostalgic place with good dependable friendly service and good food. There’s a reason so many in the area eat lunch here during the week! Hard to believe I can say I’ve eaten here regular for several decades! Highly recommend for any first timers to give it a try!

Her daughter now has some owner ship. The workers are all people person. They care for their job and customers. They are closed on the weekends. Check them out.

Really cool place to go for a bite to eat. My family and I were heading back to San Antonio from our vacation and we stopped in to eat. Our sever Janet was the sweetest woman in the world and took great care of us. The food was fantastic and they even custom made my toddler a grilled cheese that wasn't on the menu. Highly recommend it and will make sure to stop back in when we are in the Corpus Christi area!

This place has extremely friendly staff and the the food was excellent. This is a hidden gem that's been at the location for many years and has a car show's once a month there. Go by and try it out, you would not regret it.

Dawnie was absolutely amazing, got our orders put in and taken to us in an extremely quick timeframe, came in with 3 folks and everyone had their food made correctly and everything was fresh. Would come again.

Went here for the nostalgia night/car meet and it was really nice! The food, too! The burgers are the best part, the fries are okay. We weren't a fan of the chili cheese fries; they could use a little more flavor. The ice cream cones were good also; they have a good variety of flavors. They also serve beer! I'm not sure if that's for nostalgia night or if it is served all of the time. So when you pull up keep you headlights on to signal for service! Definitely recommended!

Okay this place surprised the heck out of me. We tried this place on a whim while we were on vacation. I never knew a place that could amaze my wife with their food. You wouldn’t think enchiladas were something you’d find here. But we did and they were absolutely delicious. I had the seafood basket with fries and fried okra. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were friendly and fast. Small places like this always amaze me with their version of food. I was so full after and we will most definitely be going back the next time we are on vacation in Corpus. Thank yall again for making a delicious meal for my family. My wife insists we go back and we will.

Classic Corpus Christi at its best. This place is still rocking and rolling after more than seven decades. Not only a Corpus Christi institution, a Texas institution also. The food is down to earth, approachable, delicious and made from scratch. The tacos, enchiladas, Frito Pie, and chili cheese fries were all delicious and well made.

Something told me to keep driving and go to Whataburger. But I'm glad I didn't. The chicken sandwich is delicious. The atmosphere was great, it reminded me when I was a kid going to eat with my dad. The Service was great. Good people.

The burgers, corn dogs & mini chalupas are awesome. Enjoyed the chocolate & strawberry malts as well - they're made with Blue Bell! It takes a minute to get your food - but it's worth the wait. Dining room is open but we chose to eat in our car.

My burger was awesome. It was inexpensive and the meat had wonderful color, texture, and flavor. The bacon paired nicely with the meal. I do wish that the lettuce pieces were larger I find copped lettuce difficult on a burger but it didn't take away from my meal. I expected fast food and instead got a burger that compared to the price of Whataburger but was much much better. I'll definitely be returning and recommending this restaurant.

Snapka's is a Corpus Christi icon, and is the best home cooked diner in town. Meals are made-to-order, and not kept under warming lights. Much better than national chain restaurants.

What an experience. The wait staff was wonderful and the environment was very welcoming. Took me back to when I was younger and my parents would treat me and my siblings to dinner. Establishment needs to use more fryers for cooking. Battered items should not be cooked in the same oil as non-battered items. The home made onion rings are very savory. Fresh, crisp lettuce and tomatoes.

Food: We got to-go; food was fresh, packaged well, tasted good. Only issue (minor) was one order not coming as ordered, the other order was perfect. We tried the Dixie burger and a taco. Service: Very friendly lady at the counter, didn't catch her name, but she was awesome! She happily told us about the Dixie burger name origin. Atmosphere: Feels like a well run in place with a lot of history and memories in it. Definitely enjoyed the vibe. AC worked great as well. If you're a flufflier person, be aware of the fit at the table, chairs are attached to the table! Overall, I'd give Snapka's Drive Inn a 4/5. You'll get what you pay for, and it'll be satisfying! We would come back.

This is exactly what it looks like. It's a roadside fast food joint of the old school. It's good without being great, an old fashioned burger joint with fried food to boot. The fried seafood was ordinary, not overcooked, which is death to good fish, but not particularly flavorfull either. Just good, and best of all, priced right. That's the best feature.

Went to try this place because it was featured by Shane on The Texas Bucket List. The burger he got and the one I got were totally different. My Dixie Burger was small. It tasted okay. But I won't be going back. For the price I expected a Texas sized burger, and mine looked like a childs plate. I bet I got like 4 oz. of fries with my burger. Not enough food for the price.

First I want to say the hamburgers are amazing! Large, perfectly seasoned and fresh. Fries and onion rings were very good also. The mexican food is a different story. If you come from somewhere where the mexican food is spicy and full of flavor this place is not for you when it comes to mexican food. The beans tasted like they came from a can. The rice and enchilada sauce had barely any seasoning. It was a very bland tasteless plate. The ground beef in the crispy taco wasn't to bad but the shell had a strange flavor to it. So my advice is skip the mexican food and get yourself a burger. You won't be sorry with that choice.

The food was average. Nothing stood out about it. I got the corndog, and hubby got the Kathys special with onion rings. Again, nothing special about any of it. But the prices are reasonable for a quick lunch. The staff is very friendly. The interior, where do I start... They have old style cafeteria style seats. There's a table with 4 seats affixed to the table, and it's a tight fit, and I'm not that fat. (Lol) But the worst or funniest part is they are not bolted to the floor, or maybe just the one we sat at wasn't bolted. So when my hubby and I sat down on the same side, the whole thing started to flip over on us. Luckily, we were fast enough to get up before it did flip over.

I. Used to eat there as a young man. And after 40 years I returned. The Dixie burger was pretty much like everyone else's. Snapkas used to be a special place. Now it's pre pressed like Whataburger. However, the serve was good, and the atmosphere was nostalgic.

So I randomly came across this place; looked like it was my type of place. Unfortunately it was not. So alot was wrong here. I ordered a dixie burger meal. My wife a corn dog and small cheese burger. I'm not sure if they only have one size of burger patty there but my burger was 25% bigger than the patty which was odd. But the patty was the same size as the one on my wife's small cheese burger. Not really cool. The bun had the essence of toastedness, or more like the ghost of a toasted bun. The fries I'm pretty sure are frozen out of a bag, and not salted at all. However ever table has a salt shaker. No problems with the wife's small cheese burger other than the patty being the same size as the more costly dixie burger. The corn dog however the wiener inside was still cold when she got it. She took it back and they said they would make another. Then a counter lady brought one over she said was from a phone in order so we didnt have to wait. I appreciate the thought but the second was as cold as the first. We just let things things alone at this point. The staff was super friendly and attentive. It's just a shame I really enjoy small old little burger joints. I really dont know what was up with my burger maybe by mistake they put a small patty on a regular sized burger, or maybe they only have on size patty. I would think who ever made the burger when slapping that patty on, and seeing it dwarfed by the bun and toppings would stop to fix it if it were a mistake. All in all a mediocre burger place, nothing stands out here. Nothing tasted bad here and staff were nice, just not a place I'd be willing to spend money at again.

Very disappointed, why would you host a bike night and then have no where to sit? Everyone had to order from the outside window and stand outside while fighting the mosquitoes. Really not a good plan at all. Burger and fries were as expected from a drive in, not remarkable enough to go back at all. And the leopard street address should tell you all you need to know about the VERY questionable neighborhood. 2 stars based on food only

Food is fantastic, everything is made fresh to order, which is good and bad (be prepared to wait a little). Prices have gone up like everything else and everything is charge separate. So be prepared to drop $15-$20 per person. The down side is the service is terrible. If you're not a friend of the family or regular, be prepared to get attitude. Granted, the times I have eaten here it was the lunch rush so they might have been over whelmed, but 4 out of 6 times eating there and getting attitude makes me not want to come back

Horrible place...super rude people and found a Damm hair in my club sandwich...it was a good sandwich and so upset.. plus they forgot part of my plate...which felt so uncomfortable there I just took the loss of missing items and threw away the sandwich to .such a disappointment

Terrible service with our waitress. Always rolling her eyes and saying ugh. Food wasn't great , hard and cold onion rings, burger dry and tasteless. Waitress made a face at us while paying for our bill at the counter, never saying thank you. We will never come back , this was our first visit and our last. Too bad it could have been a great experience going back into time.

If I could rate lower than 1 star I would. This was my first time ever coming to this establishment. I came in with my kids and fiancé for some lunch. Everything started off great our server was very courteous and friendly. As we were waiting for our order we heard yelling coming from behind the counter when we looked over we saw the lady that was taking orders from the drive thru window punch our server in the face! This is truly a disgrace and I’m so furious at the fact that my small children had to witness this violence happen. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. I did ask our server if she was okay she said yes but she was in tears. I also asked if she would like for me to call the police but she denied. I am so disappointed.

A sad place. Veered off 13 miles from 77 to try their food and it was not worth it. It’s old and not well cared for. Burger was dry, patty was small and thin. It had no flavor. Nothing fancy. Paid too much and left hungry. Fries where too thick and not crispy Onion rings were thin and lacked a lot. I was hoping for good food but left disappointed. Love their story; not their food.
