The food is always super flavorful and very filling, then there's their over the top specialty items like their cotton candy cocktail and their cook over an open campfire s'mores dessert. The service is always phenomenal and the manager even makes the rounds quite frequently to ensure everything is five star

Great food. Our first time for brunch and it was great. The service is really great also.

Everytime I go I have a great time. Ariana has been one of my usual waitresses and she is fabulous. The managers John and Jason are always friendly and almost every employee that walks by says hi or joins in on your fun. For those of you who think it is a county western place and complains about the rock and roll that is being played, look at how they got started and at their menu...it talks about rock-a-billies and rock and roll. Their happy hour is legit. All drinks and appetizers half off. Get their big specialty drinks and the monster platter and its literally a steal for the amazing food and drinks you're getting. Keep it up Saddle Ranch.

It is my first time here and I was greeted by Jason. I was empressed by both his knowledge and service. I need several suggestions but what I should order and recommended taking advantage of the happy hour. I took his advice and both the service and food was amazing. Overall I had a very good time and I recommend anybody coming here. I will definitely comeback.

One of my fave places to go - Great atmosphere and super friendly staff. Plus there is great seating outside if you like a cigar now and then. We go here for all our family birthdays - Happy hour is super cheap and the food is great

I have not received such great service in many places around here. The Saddle Ranch has awesome music (with bass, even), amazing service, delicious food, and outstanding price. On their happy hour, enjoy half priced drinks and appetizers - to die for, not the regular fries you're used to seeing around. Definitely coming back and bringing friends!

First time coming to this restaurant and I was very satisfied. Food came out fast, beers and cocktails as well. Servers worked as a team you get out food ordered and to the table. Great desserts and love the Smores option.

Been here twice for bottomless mimosas and was served by Brandyn both times. He is the best!! Our group could barely keep up with how quickly he was bringing out the drinks.

Fun place to have brunch. Bottomless bloody mary's and mimosa. Great booze selection at the bar. Great service from staff. If you feel brave you can ride the mechanical bull.

Food is always great and generous portions but sometimes they take a long time to bring your order so don't go there if you're in a hurry. They are honest and will tell you if they are backed up and usually will throw in a desert for the tardiness.

Just went for the cotton candy tower. The waitress saw we had a big group so she gave us another cotton candy for free. Awesome service. We had a great time!

Bone in Rib Eye is delicious. My steak was a little more cooked then I prefer because I like mine bloody! Very friendly and Always asked if I needed anything before I had to chase someone down like other places.

We went to the new Saddle Ranch Chop House at the Outlets of Orange (the old Block of Orange). It's only been open for 2 weeks and I must say I was impressed. For it's 1st month, it opens at 4:00p. There was already a small crowd waiting on this Monday afternoon for it to open. We were seated fairly quickly. Staffing was more than adequate with a mixture of new staff and experienced help from other locations. Two friendly managers on hand along with a general manager who personally saw that we were taken care of. Again, very friendly and personable. Atmosphere was that of high grade cowboy/cowgirl steak house. Bar was way more than adequate and the food was well worth the price. Over all, I would give this new place a double thumbs up.

First time coming to this restaurant and I was amazed. My boyfriend and I came during Happy hour, which was half off appetizers and beer. Food came out fast, beers as well. But as we were eating, our server, Juan, brought out two huge glasses of Lagunitas IPA on the house. We were pretty grateful. But then 15 minutes before we leave, he comes back over and says they're bringing out something special for us. Turns out to be their cookie dessert with ice cream. We were completely shocked. Food was awesome for the price and HUGE quantity, service was awesome, and we dined like kings for a night. Definitely recommend going there.

We went on a Friday night and there was a half an hour wait for a table. The hostess was very nice and offer us free drinks as we waited. Not only that, our waitress was phenomenal and in appreciation first coming give us a free dessert. I haven't seen this type of service in a long time. They got it right. Cannot wait to take the kids there ! We had the Filet and it was not Fleming's quality, but not bad. Prime rib was really good

We had a wonderful time here! Half off drinks and appetizers for happy hour. Our server, Ryan, was excellent. The manager also visited our table, who was extremely nice. The food was delicious! Fall off the bone ribs and great burgers!

Nice restaurant addition to the Outlets at Orange. This new restaurant boasts a menu even a vegetarian can say 'yummy' to. I enjoyed the the black bean veggie burger and french fries. My husband had a tasty beef burger. We both enjoyed the bottomless mango mimosas. Fun atmosphere. Big sports can appreciate the thoughtful placement of flat screens in nearly every direction you turn. We'll be back!

They got rid of the wings! I can't believe it! They're probably the only bar in the country that doesn't have wings! Anyway, they do have excellent comfort food. Best ribs and wings I've had in a long time. All appetizers are 50% off until 6:00pm. That includes ribs! Get cotton candy for dessert! Pizza is average - definitely needs way more sauce.

R

Champagne brunch everyday (no holidays apparently) from open to 3pm. $10.99 on top of the food you ordered. Great staff... Management needs some scheduling bugs o work out for holidays (understaffed on holidays lead to the place being half empty, but 1 hour wait...) other than that, great place with decent food n cool workers!

The food is always good at Saddle Ranch but the server we had tonight was exceptional. Cory should be named your new marketing director. He knew every aspect of the menu, made great suggestions, was friendly and accommodating - such a joy. We looked forward to him coming to our table. He made sure we had everything we needed even before we asked. We had a perfect dining experience. Hang on to Cory!!

Located in the same location as the movie theatre, this offers movie-goers an opportunity to nip across for a bite to eat. Location: Convenient; parking lot is in the same building. Property is located on Level 2 Appearance: Great outside space with portable heaters; it's a little theme-driven (hence the name), so there are some horse and carriages located on the building. Inside it's keeping with the theme. The only downside is that they have a barn door entrance that is kept open - so if you're sat inside, in line-of-sight of that door and it's cold outside, you will feel a draught. Service: The team are friendly and fairly efficient. Food: It's standard fare, but it appears to be well done. Don't expect Raymond Blanc, but that's the not the idea of this place Drinks: Limited - beer is the standard AB/MC with a langunitas IPA. Wine list is OK. They have a bottomless Bloody Mary for brunches option which seems worth it, if you have a mission to drink lots of bloody marys before 3pm.

The bar is not cheap but it is decent enough. The bar tenders were pretty good and checked up on my party often which was nice. They have a mechanical bull that you can tr out. They have an outside patio with fire pits that you can make smores. You can also get cotton candy.

U
Urian Salas

I don't know about the food or service but the bathroom is a great place to cry! Specificly the 3rd bathroom stall, very comfortable. Only I would change is the bathroom music since I find it a bit difficult to cry to hard country rock. Maybe a smooth jazz would be sufficient. 4 stars overall, I definitely would consider crying in this bathroom again! I hope this helped

J
James

Sometimes pretty rowdy, but fun atmosphere. They have a mechanical bull that randomly people try and outside firepits that you can use to make smores. Giant platters of cotton candy and the nachos app is massive (add BBQ chicken). Drinks are middle of the road, but offer an okay selection.

I've only gone here for brunch and it was always great. The eggs benedict and classic steak and eggs are always delicious and the bottomless mimosas are fantastic. I love that they have 8 different flavors to choose from. They also surprised us with cotton candy on the house. Overall, their brunch service was great and they kept the drinks coming.

The food is decent, nothing to brag about. The atmosphere is great and it's pretty loud so it is very safe to bring the little ones with you. The waiters were really attentive and handled requests very quickly.

Good Happy Hour and Bottomless Brunch. Huge portions and nice outdoor dining space. Not 5 star food but good value if you go for Happy Hour or bottomless bloody's on Sunday plus Saddle Ranch has a fun environment.

Food is OK, the mixed drinks are quite watered down, the free shots they had you out here and there are appreciated but are so watered down and sugary that they border an insult to your taste buds. I usually get beer here as its pretty hard to water down an IPA.

C

Food came out warm not hot. Waitress was MIA, had to wait 10 min to ask for mustard. Last two times we got a free dessert (we spend coworkers birthdays ), not this time. I wasn't impressed.

I had dinner here recently. The service and food were decent but I think we got sick from the burger with blue cheese. Also, a lot of mid 20’s kids getting VERY drunk and being loud but I guess you can expect that from Saddle Ranch because it’s more of a place for fun than a sit down dinner.

This review was based solely on brunch Sunday morning, the food was mediocre. Got the Benedict. Asked for the potatoes to be well done, they weren't girlfriend asked for her eggs over hard they came out over easy, seemed to have messed up a few things. The server was slow in the beginning but then she just started being us out drinks which was nice. The drinks were below average, 3/4 juice 1/4 champagne. Got way to sick of the juices before I was buzzed which wasn't good. The server brought out some deserts which was nice but not needed as we've had too much sugar from the juices. Many better options out there but this place handles parties pretty well.

I really liked the idea of saddle ranch, the service and food was good BUT not the atmosphere I expected. Costa Mesa really needs a great country bar to go to and this place is very misleading. The decor is completely western but the music played is heavy metal rock with screaming which is fine but my whole group and everyone wanted and were expecting some good ole country tunes. I think if you are going to be a western themed bar you should hold true to it and not be so misleading. Why come to a western bar that does not play country music? Might as well go to a regular bar.

P

Good ambience, but worst food.. if you are coming here jus go for drinks alone... service was very bad. Literally had to wait 20 to 30mins for each request.

M
Marisa Delgado

Although the customer service & atmosphere was excellent the food came out lukewarm, the classic top sirloin was not worth $27 & the fried chicken is more batter than meat. But still wouldn't have minded if it weren't for the fact we felt overcharged. $102, plus tip, for 3 people & only 1 alcoholic beverage.

Walked in and had a seat at a table in the bar area (party of 4) and were told we could not sit there, and had to wait ~25 minutes to be sat. I've never heard of this for a bar area. As we sat standing at the bar area we saw FOUR empty tables/ booths that nobody was being sat at, and got the runaround when we asked about them. We finished our drinks and did not stay for dinner. Maybe the one in Costa Mesa has better service.

Atmosphere is cool, food is mediocre and a little pricy. 7 of us came on a Sunday afternoon and we get its a busy time but our server was terrible and almost completely neglected us. Had to fend for ourselves for water

s
shane mcinnes

Service is incredibly poor.......waiting 20+ minutes to take our order and then 2 of the 4 meals arrive, another a few minutes later and the 4th 10 minutes after that. Then one was completely wrong and waited another 10 for a replacement!!!!! The food itself is fine......the service is very very poor ( unfortunately) and this will ensure we try a different location in the future.

J

My children love this place for one reason...the giant cotton candy! The happy hour prices are great and the food is decent. But the service is slow and has consistently been slow every time I have dined here (which is at least 6 different times). If you have a lot of time to kill and do not mind waiting for service than you might like it here. If you are in a hurry or just prefer timeliness - this is not the place for you. And be advised - the slow service is often followed by rude service after you have had to get up and ask the manager if there is a server in your area. On a positive note, the atmosphere later in the evening is fun and lively and watching a variety of people attempt to ride the bull is pure entertainment!

We've been here several times. Our little grandkids love the place (maybe it's the cotton candy?). The 11 year old picked this place in his top 2 choices for his birthday. The food took forever (they weren't busy), and it was difficult to get the server's attention, as she spent most of her "free" time flirting with the bartender. One guy asked if there was anything else they could get us, I asked for a second round of coffee with our (COLD) breakfast. My husband had to go to the bar (15 minutes later) to ask the server to please bring our coffee. I'm giving it 2 stars because of the cotton candy the server comped for the kids. The service was bad the time before, but anyone can slip once. This time was too awful (and it ain't cheap). We won't be going back. Too bad...it's a fun place.

Our experience was frustrating. Our server was super friendly, but they were clearly understaffed. She had way too many tables and could not check back on us very often. Our food took over an hour and my chicken was undercooked. The rest of the meals looked ok. We won't be back.

First time will be the last time. Dined there last night had an issue with the ingredients on the menu not being accurate, when brought to the managers attention, the response was we will have to update the menu. No apology, no let me get you something else , no removal of the meal from the bill that went back almost intact. Came from Palm Springs 100 miles because we heard rave reviews, very disappointed. Should have figured something was a miss when they had 50% empty tables at 7pm on 4th of July weekend. But I'm thinking the restaurant next door might be the place, it was full and a 30 minute wait. That's where we are going tonight.

This place has yhe worst management i have ever come across in my life. I went here for my 26th birthday with my friends and family. When we first got there there was a hive table in the bar area and we were told by the manger we could not sit there, but it wasn't even reserved. He just didn't want to move the two tables together. We had no choice but to sit on the patio. Mind you this was a wednedsay night and they were most definitely not packed. Then as the night went on he spilled a drink on my friend and her phone. Only that drink was taken off our over $300 tab. Then when my friend had to call the bank to pay the tab...which he had make than enough money to pay for, both mangers threw a fit saying we weren't planning on paying, and kept stating how much we owed. Just because we had to call the bank. When i confronted them about the issue they yelled and accused. They continued argueing with us and got in some of our faces. Totally inappropriate behaviour from management. They were completely improfessional. When one got in my mom's face it upset my brother and he got in the mangers face and the mangers ripped his jacket off like he wanted to fight. Wooowww good job guys! The beauty is we have the whole thing on camera. Terrible terrible service. Worst ice ever had and i dont think it can get worse.

Most horrible experience at a restaurant in Orange County, my wife and I decided to have our anniversary dinner at Saddle Ranch, worst mistake of our lifes, they demanded a credit card or debit card before serving us, I refused as I was going to pay with cash but they were enforcing us to do so, I declined politely, the waitress said this was a "new policy", I then went on to their website, checked the policies and nothing stated this "new policy". Another worker then approched us and stated they just dont want you guys to walk out without paying. We felt discriminated and harassed. We then decided to leave to YardHouse, where we ate an amazing dinner with outstanding service.

I get it today is the 4th of July, I get it some people call out sick, but to be this understaffed on a holiday weekend we horrible. We walked in at 12:20 pm had more than 6 servers walked right by never acknowledging us almost looked embraced to say anything when we finally were spoken to we were told 15-20 minutes waited for 30-35 minutes before finally the Manager appeared and he was clueless quoting 15-20 minutes. So again I get it holiday weekend but if you can't provide customer service maybe it might be a good thing to stay closed.

Greasy (burgers). Soggy (burgers and fries). Too much cheese (mac and cheese). Waiter was being so "in character" (trying to talk with a twang in his voice) that he took our order incorrectly. Steak tacos were good, though. Expected better overall for the price.

t
tom hanson

First time we went had a great time. The second, and what will be the last time we went it was horrible. Cost $70 for basically two drinks, never got the food, was ignored by our server Joe who seemed high as fk. Not that being high bothers me, I was high too. The server at another table had to wait on us. Manager didn't seem to care. Probably tired of all the complaints he had to deal with. Went across the way to another restaurant and got great service. Embarrassing, horrible waste of money and time.

B
Bethany Celeste (Bethfriend)

I don't like giving bad reviews but this place gets a big thumbs down. The waitress wasn't attentive and we were there for brunch; there were hardly any people there. We also saw her just standing around chatting with coworkers while we were waiting to order. The drinks were ok but when my food came there was a hair net in it. I felt sick, so even though they offered another meal I couldn't take it, didn't have to pay for that meal but still had to pay for the drinks. As far as I'm concerned, that's not good customer service

S
Season Czubiak

I don't normally do this, but I strongly feel the need to warn potential customers. Went there for a birthday. Waiter was distracted and didn't pay attention. Chicken came out not thoroughly cooked, and a one of our burgers had plastic in it. Two other burger orders were delivered wrong, and be the time the brought the correct ones the evening was over. Took only the dangerously presented food off of the bill and nothing else. Tried to make up for it with drinks (that most of us didn't drink) and desserts that most of us didn't eat. Would not recommend this place at all. Consumer beware.

P

We went to eat here last night and it was one of the worst eating experiences I have ever had. Firstly, the hostess gave us major attitude because we showed up with seven people on a six person reservation. Mind you, the restaurant was empty so there was not even a need for a reservation. My eight-year-old son was served a glass of sour milk, and then when they went to replace it it took 20 minutes to get a milk. When our food showed up it was awful. I had the Thai salad and I could not even chew the chicken, I I had to spit it out. My son had chicken tenders and the chicken was rubbery, it was awful. It was a Friday night and there was barely anyone in there, perhaps this is a reflection of where this restaurant has gone .

Worst experience at a restaurant... EVER. I met up with a large group on a Saturday night. We waited 45 minutes for a table. Meanwhile, I opened a tab at the bar. After we were seated, I ordered an appetizer and used my card for payment. After ordering waitress asked which card we'd like to use and I let her know I was paying for the appetizer and that my tab was open at the bar. We occupied the table during the remainder of the night. Little did I know, the waitress was rejecting other credit cards at the table and letting them know they can all settle the bill at the end of the night. So my card was being used to charge everybody's order and the waitress was relying on me to collect the money from the others instead of using multiple cards along the way. When the bill came, I let them know I had no knowledge of the charges and the items I was disputing were made by friends that were already gone. They sent the manager, Candy Potts, over to address the issue and she said that it was my friends who bailed on me and left me with the bill so they couldn't adjust the charges. I let her know that I had no idea they were using my card for all charges and she said "Well you didn't tell us you were splitting the bill." Excuse me! I never said I'd pay for all charges either. When I continued to dispute the bill, the manager said if I didn't want to pay for the items being disputed she would have to call THE COPS. They called the cops but eventually one of my friends stepped in and paid for the disputed items without my knowledge. They called off the call to the cops but the entire time I was waiting, the manager had a bouncer following my every move, including trips to the restroom. I confronted the bouncer and his response was "I'm doing what I was told by my manager." Keep in mind, my card was in their possession the entire time. When I asked the manager for my card back, she said she gave it to my friend. Why are you giving my credit card to anybody other than myself and trying to charge me for items that I did not authorize? AND at the end of the night, the manager gives me her card to invite me back. Are you kidding me? Why would I ever return to a place where the server thinks splitting a bill is brain surgery and the manager has no respect for credit card confidentiality, threatens to call the cops, and has me followed by her staff?
