Wanted to get Pho for lunch, this place was highly rated so popped in for food. It’s in a strip mall and not in a fancy location. Parking was easy and able to get seated very quickly for lunch. The lady who served our party was welcoming and efficient. I think she is the owner. We all loved the food we had. I liked the beef Pho which was very flavorful. My wife liked the chicken cabbage salad very much. Would recommend the Thai iced tea too, not so much the iced coffee. We had a coconut too, was really good. Would definitely recommend!
So FRESH So GOOD. The PHO broth is best in the area hands down. The veg is always crisp and always fresh. The crispy rolls are delicious and fresh and the vegetables are clean and crispy. Friendly owner. Family owned and a great place for lunch or dinner or with 2-6 people.
Good food. Single owner providing service so patience required. The food here is always fresh and delicious! You can choose authentic Vietnamese dishes like phõ, traditional rice and noodle dishes or items that are a fusion of cuisines.
This is a quaint cafe style casual dining place with very healthy fare of Vietnamese food. It's run by this cute lady owner, with great service and delivery.
I love this place! The menu has a great variety of pho, banh mi, salads, and various meat/rice dishes. The service is usually fast except during their busiest times when it does seem to take a little longer than your average Vietnamese restaurant but the quality and flavor has always been great so it's worth it! There's usually no wait to be seated even during peak times which I greatly appreciate. The owner and staff are very friendly and make this a really cozy place to eat a meal. Be aware that it is a pretty small restaurant so probably not great for huge groups but it's a nice intimate place for a casual dinner with your significant other.
I have been here a million times! I get crispy noodles in curry, spring rolls, and Thai iced tea! I freakin love it! Quick service and happy foodies!
Our local Pho spot. Service and food are great!

Our local Pho spot. Service and food are great!
Their pho is simply the best, no competition! Great place, great prices, fantastic food.
Very delicious and the staff is friendly and helpful
Second time here and once again it did not disappoint. Great food and good prices.
Great place to go for Pho. Food is tasty and delicious. Service is great.
Solid food. I had the vermicelli - pretty solid compared to others. I liked the custom art on the walls.
The large size was too big, but the pho was so good I didn't care.
Love the service n food so fresh!
Great restaurant, great pho. It's one of the better pho places in Costa Mesa !
Delicious food, good pricing, great service, pretty convenient location
I can't wait to eat at this place again. The food is great at a great price
LOVE this place! Food tastes great and the service is friendly. ❤❤❤
A very cozy and warm place. The food is really good with reasonable price!
Amazing Pho. The quality of the meat is higher than the others in the area.
Amazing food, super quick too. Great service.
Great Vietnamese comfort food. Curry is some of the best I've had.
Delicious! My favorite is the pho, spring rolls and the lemongrass beef.
After my favorite pho spot closed I went in search of a new place. I have officially found it, I'm about 6 visits in and I have yet to have to add anything to my broth other than a little chili paste for a low burn. Meat is not fatty, perfectly sliced, and cooks to perfection in its broth. I will now recommend this place to all my pho enthusiasts.
Really great food! Portion is slightly small, but sure taste amazing!
Eat here three times a week. Good quality food and has never made me sick or anything like that
Patrick and crew run an amazing spot. Great pho (the bo vien meatballs are so tender!). But it's not just a pho place. Their vermicelli bowls and salads are all also amazing as are their egg/spring rolls. Not only that but they have great music (and play music videos) and great art. Don't think twice about stopping in if you have a hankering for great vietnamese with great service and ambiance.
Very delicious and fresh. The staff is very friendly. Try the beef and jasmine rice
Always consistent Pho and great spring rolls. Vegetarian options avaialble. Broth is very favorable without all the unnecessary salt! If you live or work in the surrounding area then this has to be your go-to Vietnamese establishment. Menu has some creativity to blend with the alternative tunes playing in the background. More of a hip vibe, without the added cost! Won't disappoint!
Great local spot! The Pho is amazing and the customer service was even better. My wife and I really enjoyed our meal and will be back next time we are in the area.
Great service, very clean, food is delicious and definitely worth checking out. Great atmosphere with the modern music and trendy music videos. Also, a great place to view and purchase artwork from local artists!
Tops pho and spring rolls and iced coffee. Excellent service. All around: hit the spot dining at one of the few outside tables on a cool summer evening.
Always consistent. Always excellent food with great parking. Try to vermicelli with pork and a milkshake next door from the same owners. All hail Vietnam pearl.
Took 3 of my business friends there and all liked the food we got. Ordered a few vegetarian and meat dishes which all tasted good.
Best vietnamese food around. Unexpectedly great flavor. Owner is very cool and his personality shows in the restaurants look and feel.
The food here is always fresh and delicious! You can choose authentic Vietnamese dishes like phõ, traditional rice and noodle dishes or items that are a fusion of cuisines.
Not a big place so it fills fast but they work quickly to get you seated. I recommend the fried tofu salad, huge and delicious!
I used to live in Costa Mesa few years back and this place was awesome the food is amazing and the people are so nice there this place is well recommended I still go there one I'm in the area I really miss the food.
Incredible food and service! Love those crispy vegetarian spring rolls! And the veggie pho broth is the bomb too!
Ate there today. The pho tai was amazing, inexpensive, and the staff was super attentive and friendly. I couldn’t be happier with Vietnam’s Pearl.
Great Vietnamese food. Local strip mall. Very fresh, very tasty, nice owner.
Our favorite Vietnamese restaurant...value and quality with great service. Authentic and a nice Shake bar next door
Great pho great service amazing people
Always such a treat. The best Vietnamese food around. Charbroiled chicken with rice and an egg on top! Yum!
A pearl of Pho indeed. This place is warm and welcoming vibe. A tasty and satisfying portions. Fresh. This place is great!
Awesome Pho / Vietnamese food. One of my local favorite hole in the wall places. Been a handful of times and never disappoints. Good food. Nice people. Good service overall. The hours can be sometimes confusing (closing early and/or off on some week days as I remember) but worth it to try to fit it into your schedule.
First time trying Pho it was amazing
Pho is excellent and service is even better! So friendly and kind. We love it here!
Great Vietnamese spot! I love to come here because they cater to the vegetarian population and have menu items for vegetarians and meat lovers alike. I love their vegetarian pho and egg rolls not to mention they're fresh coconut water. The staff is also very nice and patient and can answer any questions you may have regarding their menu items.
One of my favorite Vietnamese pho shops! Highly recommend.
This is my favorite local pho shop! I have been here probably 15+ times over the last 2 years and it never fails to disappoint. The large pho with beef is amazing, and they give you a good amount of meat plus a big bag of garnishes for takeout. No skimping on quality here! I usually order the crispy fried egg rolls with the lettuce wraps, and they are so good as well. I'll be eating at Vietnam's Pearl as long as I'm in the OC! Best cure for when you're feeling a little under the weather. Ordering over the phone is easy, the lady owner is really nice and the food is always ready within 20 minutes. Can't be beat!
My Mother and I have been coming here for years. It is the only restaurant in Orange county that has remained consistent in serving the best Vietnam food around. Another thing that we love about this place is that it's a family-run restaurant. To us that means more care goes into the plates going out.
Outstanding, freshly made Vietnamese cuisine! Really enjoyed the lemongrass beef vermicelli. The shaken beef was exquisite and the jasmine rice was perfect! Great staff!
Very cozy, comfortable family atmosphere. Very nice people. Great for lunch. Folks love their pork chop meals, soups, and salads! Very popular for people who live and work in the area!
Vietnam's Pearl is such a gem in Costa Mesa. The food is super yummy and homey! I got the mock chicken and veggies with lemongrass sauce over jasmine rice. It was utterly perfect. I'm salivating while writing this. If I lived in Costa Mesa, I'd go here probably too much.
This place is very small and always crowded! That's because the food is so good. The server and owners are very friendly. Music videos play constantly, but not over bearing. Every receipt comes with a coupon for The Straw shake place next door. Best time to come is midweek in the early afternoon.
Real traditional Vietnamese food in a clean and charming establishment. I have been going for over 10 years and the food and service are always consistent. The fried egg rolls are incredible if you’re wondering where to start or if you haven’t got to try them yet. After, if you got a sweet tooth, there is a phenomenal and I mean PHENOMENAL milkshake place next door with a modern twist. Try it out!
Very fast service for my food like in 10min and the atmosphere was chill the food was awsome recommend going it’s very yummy
Best pho restaurant in an area with many options. Get the pork egg rolls, house special noodle salad or any pho.
We've been going here for years. I always get the chef's pho, and my wife loves their pork chops with rice. All the food is fresh and tasty

This place was a nice change of pace from other Vietnamese restaurants. They serve crispy noodles, stir-fried with vegetables and your choice of protein. I opted for chicken and curry, but wished I had gone with tofu. The chicken was a bit dry, but the curry had a nice flavor. I forgot to tell them I wanted medium spice which was actually a good thing because the curry was already spicy to begin with.

Great Pho Tai. Broth is spicy and flavorful. Beef was tasty.
Small little Vietnamese place in a strip mall by Jack in the Box. We go here on Saturdays when our usual pho place is closed.
Always excellent service and excellent food. Been going here for over 8 yrs.
good food and nice staff , but only basic pho .
Folks were very sweet and nice. Food was very salty. We weren't able to finish everything since the salt overpowering the food.
The pho is good. The grilled pork chops are great. Rather have to go since it can crowded. A staple since we moved to CM 5 years ago.
Good food. Single owner providing service so patience required. A bit dark inside but good eats is your looking for some pho!
Inventive menu with plates that feature the great flavor profiles without noodles but the noodles are great as well. I had the cabbage salad and curry fries. Fantastic
Judging from what I had (caramelized cube steak), everything is probably quite tasty. The menus is not a cookie cutter of every other Vietnamese resteraunt. Refreshing change!
Great pho and spring rolls but lady's personality is kinda sour. Cranky lady but great food!
Nice portions, excellent quality, and good prices. I suggest this place to anyone in the area looking for some very tasty pho!
Pho was very good. Had the beef and meatball pho. Been going here since I was young. Prices are fair.
Good food at good prices. They don't have brisket for their Pho though, only rare beef and beef meatball.
Got Chef's Phở, size small was enough for. me. Tasty. Size here is kind of smaller than other places.
The 90s music vibe is strong here. This is a funky little restaurant for sure. With the artsy atmosphere comes good food and service as well. I ate the vermicelli with beef and washed it down with a unique coconut creme vietnamese coffee. I'm definitely making this a lunch spot!
The food is consistently yummy, flavorful and fresh. Service is good- would not be harmful if they were a little happier that we came in consistently- NEVER got smiled at until I brought a Vietnamese friend with me- not acceptable!!! Moving away, so time to find a replacement
We did take out Pho which may not be the best idea. Overall it was very good and not at all expensive, but the amount of meat included with the large was not a lot. Everything else was tasty and good quantity and quality. I also had the fresh shrimp spring rolls. Again the vegetables were fresh and tasty but the amount of shrimp included was very small.

They did not wash vegetables very well. I saw mud. I really have concerns about the salad.

Had the shrimp spring rolls and Bac Diet. Spring rolls were ok. Bac Diet was okay too but nothing to write home about.
First I'd like to put out there that I do not enjoy the music/atmosphere but many will as it is pop culure music. There is a very diverse menu of great looking food. I cam for the pho. I have pho all the time and found this pho lacking: the meat was tough, the noodles too, and the broth was a fairly tasteless. It was a nice place and I would go back; just not for pho.
Food was okay... Pho needed salt. I thought it was me but my colleagues made the same observation. I've had Pho that's was waaaay better and didn’t need a basic ingredient.
Service is good, but I am biased when it comes to having Beef Pho (soup)...I would rather go to Bolsa Ave. I have been here at least 3 times already when my coworkers can't take longer lunch to go to Vietnamese District on Bolsa Ave (a.k.a Little Saigon)
The pho was ok at best. The broth tasted more like a brine than anything. After adding a hefty amount of hoisin sauce I was able to eat it. Try something else.
The wait is always at least 25 minutes to get my order from the time I walk in to the restaurant to the time I begin eating. Today I had to wait 5 minutes to even be acknowledged as a customer. A party of 4 came in a couple of minutes after me and were greeted, seated, menus brought, and drinks ordered in less than a minute and ALL before I was even addressed. I always go alone and am casually dressed so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the service I receive. I frequent this restaurant only because it's the healthiest choice literally around the corner from my work and I keep thinking/hoping the service will get better. Today it was the worst yet. I do have to say, however, that the woman (owner?) is quick, very efficient, and a good hostess. But she has been in the kitchen on all save for one of my visits. The food is good but it's your average Vietnamese dish at a south Orange County price. The vermicelli meat combo is $10, whereas, in Little Saigon 5 miles north I can get a greater quantity for $7 (same quality). If they had quicker service I'd give them 4 stars. Add on lower prices and it'd be a definite 5 stars. But, I get it, they have to pay rent and feed their families, too. FYI you can order food from their menu and eat it next door at the shakes place and vice versa since they share the same owner.
First time here. My wife very much enjoyed her vermicelli dish. I had the crispy noodle curry with chicken. The noodles were tasty, but the sauce was not very memorable. I also thought there could have been more chicken. Something I read online led me to believe that they served banh mis, but alas, they were not on the menu.
Waiter was nice and courteous but joint serves mediocre Vietnamese food. I had pho and the broth fell flat. I’m Vietnamese and know what good broth tastes like. Perhaps the other dishes are made better. Plus, they weren’t running the AC, which made it pretty sweaty and uncomfortable eating hot pho on a summer night.
Plus: you will get a free basket of pastries with purchase at the next door when you eat here and brings a receipt l. I am writing the review purely based on the pho. The broth was VERY SALTY!! I think MSG and fish sauce over powers other flavors. I couldn’t taste anything else. I don’t recommend this place to pho l. If you know other good dishes, that’s great. The waitress was nice and friendly. I don’t see many Spanish girl work for a Vietnamese restaurant, so that’s a bit new for me. If you compare the portion and protein contents in the pho, the cost performance is about average. The place is clean. That is good. My only mystery is this. There is another Asian lady at the restaurant, she dresses like she came from some other places open very late night... Interesting. And the way she talks reminded me Anjelah Jonhson’s stand up. Haha this place doesn’t do anything bad. I just cannot take the salty broth and go better pho places.

It used to be a good place, but over time, it appears the staff there have become somewhat not so friendly. And the quality of food has diminished as well. I ordered spring rolls, and they tasted as if they were sitting out for some time, parts of the wrap were hard, which I was unable to eat. The pho broth appeared to be waterd down. It's safe to say we won't be spending any of our money at this establishment any longer. Side note......the lady would hover over your shoulder when she brings that portable paying machine to your table looking for that tip. We decided to tip 20% out of kindness. the lady snatched the machine and just walked away.

We came here after reading reviews that this place was good. Came here and ordered food and waited over an hour and food hasn't come. No one else beside me and my family in the restraunt. Don't come eat here if your in the area
Waited 15 mins for somebody to bring us the menu. Waited another 15 mins and nobody came to take our order nor offer us something to drink. I'm sorry to say this but white people do get that previlaged, 4 white girls came and sat next to us, right away they were offered water and asked if they ready to order. Got super pissed so I walked out, how did they get a 4 1/2 stars, must not be from asians.
I don’t really like writing reviews but since it was a really bad experience i will. First off our order was taking longer than it should the people after us got there order before us, so we got up and ask for our bill when my husband was paying this cockroach was climbing the wall.
I must have came at the wrong time of day Saturday 1:30pm. The tables and floor were dirty,, food crumbs were everywhere on the floor. 6 tables were occupied, and the rest of them had dishes that people got done eating. I had to wait for awhile for the 1 server to clean the tables. Other customers were waiting for a clean table as well. Very unappealing. The pho broth is very salty, I had to add hot water to it. Lost my business.
Went for lunch and sat outside while I finished my phonecall and not disturb the ONE other table seated inside. I have eaten here MANY times before this isn't about their food it's about customer service. The owner of the restaurant huffed and puffed when I wasn't ready to give my order since I was finishing up my call and still looking at the menu. Yes, she had to check on me twice. There was ONE other table there . ONE. She could have had TWO. Customer service is part of owning a business, you can have the best food in the world but if you treat a customer like a nuisance then you get NO customers. I will NOT be going for PHO here again, I love my food served with a smile :)
I ordered the special “Bun Riêu.” It was on special for the price of $15.75. The taste and flavor is so blend, not tasty at all. I ask for a cup of tea on ice. The flavor was Oolong tea. Just a regular tea they charge me $3.00. I asked the lady why cost so much. She stated everything is going up. That was her response. The national inflation 10-15%, but to charge a regular tea on ice for $3.00. That is literally price gouging the consumers. Pay the bill $20.20 for the meal and the tea. Left $3.00 for tip. Overall cost me $23.20. First time there and will be the last time
I stopped by this pho place because I was extremely hungry and it was the closest option to where I was. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. My mom ordered the marinated pork chops with rice, and it was so salty that it was almost inedible. She had to ask for lemon just to balance the saltiness. She tried to let the owner know, but the communication was poor and it didn’t feel like the concern was properly acknowledged. I ordered the beef pho, and the broth was also overly salty. I don’t know if we came at the wrong time of day, but overall the food quality was not good. This was honestly the worst pho experience I’ve had. I wouldn’t recommend this place based on our visit.
1st time here and the last time. Ordered the vermicelli noodle special and all the meat, egg rolls and shrimps was burnt. Taste was terrible
