Finally the IKEA restaurant has some decent deals again! Yay! Good food, pretty good service, nice amount of seating, and free coffee for IKEA Family, (free to join). Plus you can go for a walk around the store after your meal to work off some calories! 😉
Interesting experience, reminded me of school. The menu wasn't too big but I assume thats from the slower weekday, the meatballs were so good! I should've went for seconds but that was my mistake. Might just have to stop here each time I visit Ikea.
Very Ikea this is the best way to keep yourself from getting hangry when you get lost inside Ikea 😁
Best Vegan affordable hot dogs and vegan balls and strawberry soft ice in America!
We always love the food at this restaurant. My kids love all food and so do I.
I Love their decaf coffee!!!! I always get meatball meal with xtra Lingonberries! I may have to go to dinner here this week!❤️
Pretty good food! Too bad they were out of garlic toast.
If shopping there try out the restaurant. Good food and great prices.
As I see team attendants are working well above and beyond but it is obvious that they are shot staffed. The IKEA restaurant management needs to take an action immediately to hire more people.
The manager is especially awesome. He solved the issue with my card very quickly!!!
SLOW CLAP!!!!! Hats off to the incredible attitudes of the IKEA Bloomington cafe! Juuuust Get’n slammed, under massive pressure, huge line, rude people, and they still keep a smile on their face, and offer generous portions, with a smile! A+guys. The clerk too. Just all of them. Now that’s what team-work looks Like … impressive Wow!
I hadn’t been to an IKEA in years, since we don’t have one in Alaska. Even better than I remembered...especially so when it came to the restaurant. They are now serving several plant based items, including their famous Swedish meatballs. I swear they taste just as delicious! Their sides are also always so tasty...my favorite has to be the mashed potatoes. The dining area here was clean and spacious, with the same open concept that you find in the store. Even with Covid precautions, it atmosphere made an already enjoyable meal even more so.
Over the years I have stopped here a number of times and ordered different selections - apple pie, coffee, Swedish meatballs First time trying breakfast. Seemed a bit prepared like a hotel breakfast but overall very good especially for the price. Medium breakfast included eggs, diced potatoes, Swedish pancakes with lingonberry jam and bacon. Plus the meatballs and coffee all for $9. And let me say: excellent coffee! We ate this meal at 10am and a $1 hot dog at 1:30 as we were leaving. Great experience and will be back
The food is delicious 🤤 There are different menus and I tried breakfast and lunch. Both of them are good. For breakfast, the scrambled eggs and bacon are perfectly cooked. As for lunch, the meat ball and salmon are tasty and the sauce for both is great 👍
There is something uniquely satisfying about dining at an IKEA food court. The food is delicious. There are plenty of veggie options. The ordering process feels like a school cafeteria but with actual charm. I love it all. Such a magical way to spend an afternoon.
My partner and I made a day trip to Ikea. The pinnacle of this trip was getting to eat this delicious food. The precautions for Covid were amazing. We got a table secluded from all others. We arrived early and did not have to stand in line more then 3 minutes. The service members were friendly and very helpful. I will definitely be coming back during Covid. Food was not available to go in the cafeteria though as a note. I reccomend stopping by if you are available to do so.
Fun store to shop at, love that there’s a restaurant and bistro in there too, hadn’t tried the breakfast until I visited last week, sadly at the time they were out of waffles so I had to settle for the pancakes instead but it was still good regardless.

Reasonable prices. Scandinavian cuisine in a bright cafeteria style setting. A great place to meet friends and have a conversation. Sweeping views of the Mall of America.

I had the plant based meatballs meal. Everything needed lots of salt and pepper, but it was decent after that. It’s nice that everything is so affordable and the company is low-waste. The gooey cake surprised me! It was very rich and tasted like a gooey brownie. The dining space was really open and bright, I would come back to work/study there.
I think my rate will be 4.5 and not a 4. The reason of my rate is because I feel they are loosing a little flavor on some of their dishes. Thank God the Swedish meatballs are still the bomb ! I tried the vegetarian and I really don’t care for. The mash potatoes don’t taste the same as before. You go and taste the mashed potatoes and let me know if is just me or it needs more flavor.
The Swedish meatballs were delicious. The gravy helped. The lines were long, and it is cafeteria style, so the cake I picked up at the beginning of the line had gotten a little hard in the wait. The employees work really hard and try to go quickly. The seating area was clean and tables were available. Prices are reasonable.
The almond cake is rich and creamy. The vegetable balls are delicious but there were none today, hopefully they aren’t permanently gone.
Food done very well. Pork shank was tender, cooked to fall off the bone doneness and seasoned well. Broccoli perfect with a bit of crunch. Zero lump potatoes likely made from a dehydrated product. Display pic showed a different veg. Was fine with broccoli though being offered a choice would have been nice since there was another option Staff plentiful and cheerful. Surprised to see diet Shasta soda cans in the beverages offerings & still in the cardboard flat, not even removed for nicer display.

Out of town guests wanted to visit just for the restaurant. The meatballs for them. I was impressed by the moist salmon and reasonable prices. Very convenient tray trolleys.
I’m gluten free and was able to get a decent meal here. Big thing is that you have to scan the QR codes to find suitable foods. I had one dinner meal option when I went.

Line was too long. Our food got cold waiting in line.
Not what it used to be. The pop machines were devoid of syrup. The employees were careless. Standard cafeteria food. I miss the old days.
Everyone raves about this slop, not sold myself
It's expensive cafeteria food, not really worth it over something like a Panera Value Duet.
Maybe I visited at a bad time of day, but I wasn't impressed with the quality of food.. meatballs looked old, mashed potatoes tasted old and half the peas were wrinkled and/or discolored. On top of it there was no creamer available for the coffee!
The menu was ordinary. I had a vegan burger, even though I am not a vegan. It was okay. Not a fan of it. The fries on the side tasted like they had been kept warm for a few days. Service was decent. I'm not sure if I would want to go back to this restaurant again.
Wish there was more gluten-free options and were more clearly labeled.
While the prices were reasonable and it's great to see salads on the menu, there's room for improvement in terms of overall quality. Nonetheless, it serves as a convenient option for a quick meal during your shopping trip.

This used to be a much nicer place. Now, it's just another fast food stop with unfriendly service, oversalted mediocre food, and not much choice. They used to have two soups to choose from - now, there is none. My wife and I used to go to IKEA just to eat there, and now, it's not worth it.

So sad to have to give this negative review. I am not sure if this is just the state of the world these days, but Ikea is going down hill. I had been coming with a friend for lunch a couple times of year and was excited for today, but things were different. I missed a favorite, healthy beverage. The meatballs didn't taste the same. There were dirty tables EVERYWHERE and not one person walking around washing them for the whole hour we sat for lunch. There were people in uniforms talking a lot to each other but no work or cleaning being done. So sad.
The salmon cold plate has way less proportion than the IKEA in Toronto and some other IKEA restaurants in China. The same dish in other IKEAs usually has 3 big slices (or 2 extra large ones). But today it has only two small pieces covered with a big chunk of veggie occupying the whole plate (in the display case at the left bottom corner), selling around 11 dollars. The cold plate is NOT covered by plastic wrap, and the cold food display case seems not being cleaned for a long time.
The food was decent, though the portions were on the smaller side. Customer service could use improvement, as staff didn’t seem very engaged. Having two lines for food but only one for checkout caused delays, and unfortunately my meal became cold while waiting
I can't believe it was so horrible Friday's experience for me today usually I was just keeping my mouth shut but Sorry about that not today. I was order the meatballs just for regular amount Nothing special but until the end when I was done checking out my bill was so weird and then I was asking the cashier she was telling me oh No that's right price for the items and then I was just realized they are addressed extra meat balls into my meal without telling me I'm not happy about it.

Stay away from the pulled pork. It was ridiculously sweet, even the lingon berry jam is less sweet than that. Also bland mac n cheese
Overpriced high school cafeteria
THE WORST COSTUMER SERVICE. They delivered wrong parts to me and I had wait ONE MONTH for them to pick it up and make corrections. Several cancelations with no explanation, just terrible!👎
We ate here for lunch and my husband and baby shared the Swedish meatballs and they both got ill a few hours later. Please don’t eat here unless you want food poisoning especially if you have young children.
I couldn't find where to put a review for bistro Cafe (where they sell hotdogs and pretzels) I apologize if this is restaurant only. But I am highly disappointed at the person who helped me out with pretzels last week. Cold pretzels are not good. Just not tasty. I ordered 6 and was waiting for 25 minutes for the last one to be baked. After such long wait i asked to give me at least 3 freshly baked, so I can enjoy eating warm pretzel on a way home. The attitude I got from the worker was disgusting. He was swearing, shoveling pretzels into the wraps angrily, yelling that they need to sell "old ones" first.Throwing mustard all over, in the end he threw my 6 pretzels without even putting it in the bag and yelled "take you time". Unacceptable behavior and very unpleasant experience. If you don't like to work with customers go find a different job. I didn't do anything bad to you, just asked for a warm pretzel!
Grabbed a snack before shopping at the cafe on main level. Pizza looked like it had been sitting there since yesterday. Got the ice cream cone. The ice cream was completely melted over the cone so asked for a cup that the worker checks to see if it was clean ( it was just sitting on top of the machine) and comically small. When asked for one that would fit the cone that was not edible at this point, was told she couldn’t give a bigger one. Which is fine, but then you have to give a cone that is actually able to be eaten.
We walked in and looked at the menu for 2 seconds before a very loud cranky voice said “can I help you?”. Upsetting. We ordered our food politely and the young lady rolled her eyes and made faces as she crudely piled what was very mediocre food onto our plates. Terrible service. This happened on Friday April 14th around 7 pm. I didn’t catch her name but she was a brunette with a pale complexion. This was very upsetting. I would appreciate a response from the management and that this person has been spoken to about her very rude behavior
Worst food experience I've had in a while. I always get the smoked salmon salad. It was 8.99 and it only had 2 pieces of smoked salmon. Even worse the salmon tasted off, slimy and had a nasty aftertaste, like I will be sick if I keep eating it. I had a friend try it and he said it's not supposed to taste like that too. I talked to one of the staff in there about it cause I've never had the happen before and she just said "no it's fresh, I was the one that prepared it" and in general was so unempathetic and defensive. She told me to talk to a manager but wouldn't call a manager. In the end, I never got a refund or talk to a manager and just threw out the food. It was also very dirty. So disappointed!
Employees didn’t come the day before they were out of almost everything, especially toppings for the hot dogs. One person working by herself. Cleanliness was not good. This was at the mall of America location very unprofessional.
