So I recently went here and let me tell you it was very nice. I sat witht the owner of that place a year ago one time while the place was empty and I was waiting for my pizza to be cooked. We hada great convo and got to know each other a bit. Fast forward to today, well as soon as I walked in to let the owner know about a reservation I had made, the expression on his face as well as how quickly he greeted me was flawless. That made me feel welcomed too and to top it off I chose to sit out side all alone on a corner table. It was an elegant view to be honest and the expierance was stupendous I say. Sat there all alone and enjoyed my food, even the waitress was extreamely nice.
Best Italian food in miles. On top of it you get friendly service here every single time. This is our to go spot when I need to get away in a nice cozy spot and enjoy a nice meal.
Great place, visit them almost weekly. Service from Rafa and Rachel is superb! Awesome food. Love the octopus sand!!!!
I posted a semi negative by accident on this restaurant. The owner mark messaged me a kind message regarding my experience. By all means, pan y vino was great atmosphere, the service was delightful and friendly vibes. The food was delicious and the entire family was happy with their food. I will most definitely be back here again. Must try restaurant 🙏 if u havent yet.
Very good food and chill atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive to us. The food was amazing and have really good prices. I would come again to eat their delicious pizza and garlic bread.
This place is amazing. The server was on top of it, engaged in conversation, and didn't make us feel rushed. I will definitely be coming back as there is just so much more to try and it all looks so good!
Absolute great experience. The service, and food was amazing.
Quiet and quaint Italian spot. Had two pizzas and one pasta between 4 of us. Delicious food, great service and overall solid vibes. Playing some oldies Cherry on top ✅
Great place. Super friendly and tasty dishes. Loved it all. Prices were more than you've paid elsewhere just as nice but I knew it coming in and it was well worth the visit and will return. Just might not as often as I'd like. 😁😂
My wife and I love this restaurant. The gluten free pasta is her favorite of any place she's been and the servers are so friendly. The gluten free pizza is awesome too. You really can't go wrong with anything on. The atmosphere is so calm and beautiful. Literally nothing I've eaten their has disappointed me.
This is my favorite Italian restaurant in the San Gabriel Valley. Love love, love their chicken, Parm with pasta and the spinach salad. I ordered that every time. The staff and the owner are amazing.!
Excellent pizza and the tiramisu was very tasty!
The food is fantastic, fresh and well made. The pizza and homemade foaccaia was especially incredible. The great service and atmosphere tie it all together.
Wow is all we have to say! First timers and everything was amazing my kids woke up the next day wanting to go back. Highly recommend the margherita pizza.
my boyfriend and i dined here recently, such a beautiful atmosphere, lots of nice ambiance, and the food was to die for. we got the fettuccine shrimp alfredo and a pepperoni pizza. to this day it is the best pizza i’ve ever had. can’t wait to go back.
Very small restaurant nested in the old Covina downtown strip on Citrus. We live here so we know the area pretty well. This restaurant is on par to any other more upscale Italian restaurants. Small menu, but great food. Waiter is so friendly too. Highly recommend this place for an intimate dinner.
This place may be small but it delivers big on atmosphere, hospitality and delicious food. A great selection of appetizers, starters and entrees to please each guest. We enjoyed our meal and definitely will go back.
Enjoy eating here for the food and ambiance. A little pricey but food tastes authentic. My wife and I enjoy the ribeye pizza. Parking only on street which can be a problem on weekends. We go during the week to avoid problems. Rafael (server) is great. Strongly recommend.
Excellent Italian restaurant, very nice staff especially Paul
This is a great joint. Amazingly friendly servers and a selection of pretty decent Italian dishes and wine. Make sure you don't leave your credit card behind like I did. They appear to have a fairly large selection of credit cards already. It must be the high from the delightfulness of it all... Don't hesitate to check it out.
This is a small hole in the wall place that is definitely worth the stop for. We came out to see a show at the Laugh Factory, and this was a short 2 to 3 min walk. I am pretty picky, and this place superceded any expectations I had. The service was great l, efficient, and everything was delicious. Hubby and I split plates as we wanted to try each other's food. The portions are just right, not too big or small, but very filling. We got the tortellini with chicken, rigatoni with house sausage, and the caprese salad. Their Sangria was so good, you can really taste the fruit flavors. This place is a definite win as we happen to be in the area but worth coming back to despite us living 40 min away. We spent about $90 to include hubby's 1 beer, a little higher than average but with every bit. If you're going to thr Laugh Factory I highly suggest to come here before a show as you won't regret it and will be satisfied you ate good food before a show.
Authentic Italian cuisine! Dishes were absolutely flavorful and delicious. The shrimp mozzarella is cooked to perfect. Calamari was seasoned just right and the mushrooms batter was outstanding! Just did order pick up due to covid. Inside looks beautiful and seems to have a nice romantic atmosphere!
Wonderful servers. They remembered my drink choice from my previous visit. The food is top-notch and reasonably priced. It's a cozy restaurant filled with locals, but welcome all. One of my favorites is the grilled salmon. Their desserts are delicious! Great wine list too.
So tonight we decided to try this spot in old town covina, they are currently allowing dinning but outdoors in a makeshift area of the street, but its decorated with amber lighting and easy ups and closed off with street barricades , anyhow the atmosphere is nice, it really does feel cozy with the weather cooling off a bit, so to the food part, I had a spaghetti with clams and scallops, let me just say it was delicious, I can feel and taste the oil that was lightly sauted with the garlic, I could taste the clammy texture that paired delightfully with the tomatoes, all just melted in my mouth, our server was funny and knowledgeable, just made our first experience that much nicer, here are some pics of our meal, well at least the few I got to snap of because I was so focused on devouring the delicious food, did I mention the bread was to die for, although they say to stay away from bread because it takes up real estate in your stomach, their bread is freshly baked, mix it with some oil and vinegar CA-POW its amazing! The bread just almost melts in your mouth , it's so warm and buttery I was eager to ask for another basket full, but I had to leave room for my dish, so there you have it people, I highly recommend this spot, yall won't be disappointed. 👍🏻👍🏻
First time at Pane e Vino. Seafood soup was Delicious! And service outstanding, they close at 9 and we arrived at 8:50 and they served us a drink and meal and they waited until we were done.
Discovered this gem of authentic Italian food in Downtown Covina! Their service is outstanding and their food is superb. I highly recommend the crab cakes, penne a la vodka and tiramisu with an espresso on the side.
The food is sooooooo tasty and fresh!!!!!!! You must try this place at least once….the bread melts in your mouth…..yummy
My girlfriend and I frequent this establishment once in a blue moon, however after our experience last evening I believe we may enjoy this fine restaurant more often. I will concede that we had our sights on a barbecue joint up the street from Pane e Vino. However as we walked past this establishment and saw the lively ambiance we decided to change our venue of choice. I'm very glad we did. We started off with the shrimp fried mozzarella, lets just say there wasn't a bite left to be had. Then as too our main dishes my girlfriend opted for a salmon dish which she thoroughly enjoyed and I went for my usual the piggy pizza. Delicious all around. We also enjoyed a few rounds of drinks from their fine selection. As to the prices, yes I dropped a little over a c note for our fine meal but you know what.. Good food costs money and I have no issue with that. This isn't a poor man's restaurant and if your the type that hates opening your bill fold a little wider than I'm sure there's a olive garden somewhere down the road. 5 stars to Pane e Vino.
My wife and I enjoyed the spinach ravioli and salad. A very enchanting restaurant with great wine and staff.

This was the first place we ate in Covina, and it set the bar high. We love Italian food and we enjoyed everything we ate here. The staff was very personable, and we shared some great conversations with them. The setting is perfect, right downtown, with outdoor seating. Couldn't ask for anything more!
Warmly greeted upon entering. The server was very nice and explained the dishes available. I wanted something that was not on the menu. Waitress suggested an adjustment to an item, which was exactly what I wanted. Oh, so good. My wife and I had wanted to visit for quite some time and are glad we did. Will definitely go back.
This place is truly a hidden gem. The food was delish, the staff was so nice and it's super chill. Mothers Day was our first time there. We had a variety of items from appetizers, calamari and burrata. Our main dishes were seafood and beef dishes. So delicious. Go you will not be disappointed, we will be back again.
Cozy intimate restaurant, perfect for date nights, with amazing food and wine. Service was awesome, Paul was incredible from start to finish. Pasta was amazing, finished with dessert making a great night. Highly recommend!
My husband and I have eaten here twice. We come here from out of town when we visit family in the area. The first time we ate here was from a recommendation and we were not disappointed. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was very friendly. We loved it so much that we came back again last night. The owner served us and made us feel so welcome and accommodated all our needs. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. I cannot recommend this place enough.
So cozy, warm n inviting inside. Great vibes and atmosphere! The food was amazing!. The wine so good!

We liked the Sugar Bowl and were sad to see it go but we thought we better try the new place. My whole family was pleasantly surprised. We went on their 2nd night of their "soft opening" and the food and service were very good. While we were there the power went off on the west side of the street and they handled it very well. From the chef to the waitress' they all went around to each table to make sure that everyone was alright. They even offered to let us use their cell phones flashlights. Everyone in the restaurant took in stride and kept eating. The owners and staff were very apologetic but of course it wasn't their fault. I just know that none of the patrons were going to leave and miss out in the delicious food!
Surprised. We were loudly convinced by the manager/owner? To give them a try, so we did. The food was very good. Service was attentive. Beer was cold and wine fresh. The ambiance was very homely almost dive-ish, but gave the feeling of an old go to establishment. I will go back.
I have absolutely NO complaints about this place. The waiter was great. He took the time to describe the different dishes they were serving, made great suggestions and had patience with us when the other people in our group were late in showing up. Their Calamari was really good. It's not the fried type. Even our 2 year old loved it. The Margarita pizza was equally delicious
The calamari was delicious, there were a few main dishes and a wine we ordered that were not available on the menu. I would give it a 5 star but because we weren't told about what wasn't an option until after we placed our order I've given it a 4 star. The good was okay and both I and my date agreed that the appetizer tasted way better than our main meals.

I had been trying to have a meal here several times, 3 times total, on different days during different times. It was rather frustrating because I would arrive during OPEN business hours and the place would be closed and no one would answer the phone. When I finally did get a chance to eat here the food tasted great but the portions were so small, especially at $17 per plate. If they can be open during the business hours they state they will be open for and bigger portions, I kid you not my portion was 1/3 cup of cheese tortellini pasta ;(
Our 1st time visiting. The server (male, didn't catch the name as nobody wore name tags) talked so fast that we could barely understand what he was saying so my partner ened up ordering something he didn't really want. When our food came mine was room temperature cold and my partners was super hot like it had been microwaved. The host that sat us said that everything was made in house so needles to say we were very disappointed with out food and 1st and only visit.
Very hard and dry chicken Parmigiano, sour spaghetti. This very small and low ceiling restaurant makes me feel very confined and depressing when I walked in. Needless to say that parking was difficult before I arrived. The space was very narrow, dark and small, almost impossible to walk to the restroom if a waiter happened to walk with you at the same time. However, the worst thing is about the food. I ordered a chicken Parmigiano. The reason was that I was not able to find another decent and healthy meat dish to choose from, since they even use ground beef for all the beaf dishes in this Italian restaurant. The chicken was very hard and dry, and it didn't taste like the famous Italian dishes with garlic and capers, and other spices with the unique aroma. I think that Olive Garden can do a much better job with this common Chicken Parmigiano. I was very disappointed! Moreover, they didn't give you a decent amount of bread and sauce, but just a few drops of olive oil and vinegar in a very small and shallow dish for two people, so we have to keep asking for refills. Since the space between tables and pathway were so small, so I felt that the waiter was going to knock off my water cups and candle from my super small dinning table. As a summary, this was a disaster experience for me to come here for the first time. I was so eager to get out of this dark and super crowded Italian restaurant with very poor quality of " Italian food ".
Horrible experience, the waiter very rude. The food was not worth the price. I do not recommend eating at this establishment.

Rude, Rude, Rude. This owner is an arrogant nightmare! We came in to have a nice dinner. All the owner did was complain. We will not be going here again. Food was below grade and not even comparable to the Olive Garden. I've never experienced such a sour service. I think maybe he's not making the rent due to the lack of customers. Save your money get better service anywhere else. I honestly think he is unaware of arrogant behavior.
This place was a total rip off. Their prices aren't parallel to their portions and lack of quality ingredients. I'm definitely not going back to this over priced restaurant. Very lack luster food.
I'm sorry but a frozen pizza served as authentic Italian and the worst prosciutto I've ever tried should take the Italian restaurant sign out the wall immediately. As Italian I'm embarrassed about this place. Please do not consider this Italian food. It's made by someone who doesn't even know where Italy is.
Food: 3/5, service: 0/5. My wife called for takeout, she was told 25 minutes. I arrived after 25 minutes. The staff acknowledged me and told me to wait multiple times without even asking me what I’m there for. I make eye contact with multiple staff members. I see them casually chatting with dine in customers. Meanwhile, I’m just waiting. Finally after 30 minutes, someone asks me— “what are you here for”. Who knows how long our order was sitting in the back, waiting to be packed up. It’s amazing how hard it is to treat others with basic respect and how extremely difficult it is to carve out 20 seconds of one’s time to ask one simple question: “what are you here for”.
