This is the best place to eat in cripple creek hands down! Not only was the food incredible, but it was fast and the service was amazing. Julie my waitress gave me good menu options, checked on me, and treated me like I was the only one there. My birthday is tomorrow and they even gave me a birthday cake to take home. I was speechless, it made my whole week! Victoria at the front was very nice and talked to me while I waited to be seated. Having dinner alone, I didn't feel alone at all because those too ladies! Thank you guys so much, everything you did tonight made my birthday special!
Nice place to go if you want a quiet evening or even romantic night out. We come here due to having comped food and rooms through Bronco billys. Food is always made to order and fresh. They changed the menu this time around and the steaks are always the best for your buck but all the food is great. The new honey butter they have is FABULOUS....I could have eaten it alone lol
Always have dinner here, friendly staff, food is good but this time the steak and fries were extremely salty and the bread was really hard almost like a cracker. But other then this they always have great tasting food and a wonderful atmosphere, super cozy and would be a great place for a romantic night out
Mmmmm steak! Back again. Mmmmm prime rib this time. Birthday dinner!
I'm feeling a little inadequate here. I'm struggling to find the right words I can use to describe heaven in a restaurant but I'll try.... I have travelled the western US for twenty + years. 17 years ago, at the beginning of my little adventure, I stumbled across a hidden gem in Lake Tahoe that served me the best steak I had ever eaten. Since that time I have tried hundreds of steak houses. Keep in mind, I have had some amazing steak during this time but they ALL paled in comparison till I ate here. You know all those tired old tag lines from the commercials? Mouthwatering, Juicy, Flavorful, or my favorite - so tender, I cut it with a butter knife? Yet when you get to the restaurant you always find it lacking? They are real here! The Holy Grail of steaks exists! It's sitting atop Bronco Billy's Casino in little ol Cripple Creek Colorado. My wife actually cut her steak with a butter knife! And tender? Holy cow! I almost didn't have to chew it. I took one bite and the steak danced around my taste buds and then melted on my tongue. Now anyone can get a good cut of steak. It's also possible for most people to season/marinate and cook with care. In the end you get good or sometimes amazing steaks. Unfortunately you rarely find perfect steaks. Grill flavor is what changes meat from awesome to perfection. You know what I'm talking about. Grandpa's old grill that always makes perfect hot dogs. The ancient bar in town that has the best burgers or the old taco stand that serves food kissed by angels. Have you ever peeked at the grill? The top is charcoal black from 100 thousand meals. Spices, grease, meat, heat and time have combined together to produce nirvana. I did not get to peek at the grill, (I really wanted to), but I did taste it. That Smokey bitterness exploded in my mouth. Pair that with the best cut of meat that I have ever had and I found a steak that was blessed by the Gods. I've said this before, but I mean it each time, get a reservation, and eat here. It's life affirming.
Wonderful Night!! Had a Great time at the Table Games and then an Excellent dinner at the Steakhouse. Apps were Awesome(table side guacamole could Not have been better), Crab Legs were perfect, Lamp Chops were Amazing!!!!, Best Dining and Gaming experience we have had in a long time!!!
We were very disappointed in the new restaurant. They used to have a cowboy cut steak dinner that was to die for!! Now when you order a steak dinner uhhhhh its literally just a steak!! For around 40 to 50 bucks. Im sorry but that's not a dinner, oh and if you want a salad it's a chunk of a head of lettuce for 14 bucks and only 1 kind of dressing, Need I say more!!!!
Seriously good food in a simple but elegant atmosphere. So hard not to overeat when we go. Salmon chowder was delightful, great cocktails, great creme brulee.
The Steakhouse has amazing food. The staff was great. We made reservations on-line at book-a-table from their website which was real easy. I would highly recommend this place.
Oh my! This is where we go when we want a treat! The bacon wrapped shrimp are to die for! Lamb chops are amazing! Serving portions are huge! Service is great!!!
Great food,....awesome waiter/bartender... sit at the bar and ask for Trevor.... reservations are needed to eat here. First come first serve at the bar ... prices are average about 40.00/ meal and alcohol drinks are about 10.00 to 12.00.... 👍👍
Great to have this premier Cripple Creek restaurant back open and serving outstanding menu items! One of our favs. Thanks to John in the kitchen and David out front we had another amazing evening. Thank you guys!
Great food and great service. You can't go wrong eating at one of the best restaurants in Cripple Creek. Best to make reservations.
Absolutely professional, food is delicious, atmosphere was calm and relaxing. Drinks are refreshing! Overall great place to eat!
The steakhouse is hands down the best restaurant in Cripple Creek. The wait staff is excellent, the food is top notch, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting.
Food was delicious. Definitely a place to stop at here in Cripple Creek. Atmosphere was good. Yeah its a bit expensive, but you get what you pay for. Our waitress/bar tender was wonderful. The cocktail "between the sheets" is a must get!
This restaurant is located in Bronco Billy's Hotel/Casino on an upper floor. It is not open Monday through Wednesday. The food was excellent and the service was quite good. We visited on 6/28/2018. My wife had the 7 oz. Filet and I had the 11 oz. NY Strip. Each was perfectly cooked as per our order. The prices are on the upscale side, but you can't argue with the quality of what comes on your plate. To us, it was worth every penny. We'll be back for sure.
Excellent food, excellent service!!! Rib meat literally fall off the bone, best calamari I've ever had. All the way around excellent! Just make sure you make a reservation, you're not likely to be able to get a table on a walk-in.
The food was delicious as always. But was highly disappointed, had my heart set on prime rib, no prime rib!! A very scaled back menu. Did away with meals (salad, meat, potatoes and a veggie) in the butcher section. You pick your meat and buy all the sides separate. Otherwise it was nice to be out for dinner.
My wife and I each said these were about the best steaks we've ever had and the drinks were awesome too. The customer service was also incredible! A fabulous experience all around! We will definitely be coming back!
Delicious steaks. We were there late and no issues. My fillet melted in ny mouth and my boyfriend said It was the best prime rib he'd ever had. Great service and a very friendly staff.
Wow, on the prices?! Crab, 95.00 my bone in 18oz was 46.00. The porkchop was 34.00 The cesar salad one has to cut up on their plate. The bread was heavy, dark, lacking in taste. The waiter said people like it. We did not. The music needs a bit of help. Same jazz songs on a loop each time we go. Maybe update that. I paid 201.00 for the 2 of us.
If you're looking for a place that knows how to cook a steak correctly in Cripple Creek? Well this is the only place you'll find that's open Fri - Sun all year long. Definitely in MY top 5 visited; "Best Restaurants in Colorado" for food quality/service quality.
We had excellent filet mignon with Bordelaise sauce. Everyone's steak was cooked perfectly. Wait staff was great! No complaints!
Slightly above average. Pricey for a casino restaurant. Steak was good, but not quite up to the quality you would expect from similarly priced alternatives. Overall, a decent pick for dinner. A warm, inviting, closed environment to relax and eat for the evening.
We loved the atmosphere, the service was great ... Marina was our server. My husband had the "huge" order of ribs ... a full slab and he loved it. I ordered the pork chops and they were really dry ... not moist at all but I managed... .. Marina offered to get me something else off of the menu but I opted to try some Heintz 57 sauce and it really helped. We'll be back next year in Aug and give you another try. We had stopped in earlier that day for a drink in the lounge and really enjoyed that. The piano player was also wonderful. Thank you and we'll see you next year.
Steak was great service was great. I felt the sides could of been better tasting. If you can eat here for a discount I would recommend, but I would not eat here if I had to pay full price. My father, wife and I would of had to pay 120 dollars and felt disappointed.
Decent food. Hostess had a stick in her .. waitress was kind. They asked if I had reservations. Place was dead. Really. Was a national secret as to how we'd access establishment. Lots of slots and blinking lights. Imagine they want you to burn a few bucks before finding restaurant. Prices were more than reasonable except for the tomahawk. Omg. $117 for a Fred Flintstone sized bone with steak attached. Wish I took a picbof that cuzit was freaking impressive. I'd dine there again. Despite the parking ticket I received on my first visit.
Bartender and wait staff were amazing! Very good with drinks and very attentive. The food was a different story all together; highly underwhelming.
Atmosphere is nice. The quality of food for the price could use some work. Steak was cooked as I asked, but I have honestly pulled better from my grill. $40 ribye....I can buy 2 real nice Angus cuts for less and grill them at least as well. Bring the price point to the where the expectation of quality can be even. Cripple Creek is a great little mining town turned casino town has great charm, but quality meals for fair prices can be challenging.
My husband I used to come here all the time for special occasions. It has always been our favorite place. This was our first time back since everything opened back up from COVID and we were pretty disappointed. The menu had completely changed. When we asked our waitress about where our favorite foods went she said they had to "ease back into the menu" since they opened back up after Covid. While I understand that concept - the prices surely did not reflect "easing" back into the game. Their prices have significantly increased, and now every side is sold separately. Don't get me wrong, the food was good and the service was great, however, in my opinion I do not believe a Rib-eye steak is worth $44 and mashed potatoes $12, when you can spend $1 on a potato at your local grocery store. I don't mind spending a little extra money on a meal that I know is going to be tasty, but I would have expected for $44 plate to at least have a side included in that.
All I can say is “Al a cart”. My steak was all by it’s self on a plate. For a $45 prime rib steak, maybe soup or salad and some potato’s and veggie included, ok cool. But the steak was not worth $45 by itself. I added the fingerling potatoes , and it was not worth the add-on. Wife had stuffed shrimp, shells in ruined it for her. We hoped the desert was better, but sadly disappointed, my carrot cake was a dried out carrot cake upside down mini muffin :(. Wife’s chocolate moose was just as sad… We saw the bad posts about the price of food, but we hoped for good food even if a little high priced. We were very disappointed.
My steak was overdone, they offered to cook another but i don't like waiting for another steak while others are enjoying their meal so i declined the offer and then they gave me a $10 discount that i didn't ask for, that was nice but it should have been a larger discount because being overcooked made it a less than average steak for a more than average price. My wife had some chicken and liked what she got. We both thought we would eat someplace else next time we are in Cripple Creek.
Service was great but food wasn't good mashed potatoes tasted moldy 😑 stake was way over cooked . So they got me a new one but not much flavor it comes on top of brown gravy that tasted like the packet . And meat wasn't flaverful. But had soup and bread that was really good .
It's kind of overpriced. The food was low quality and wasn't very good. The service not good she visited our table once. We had to go to the bar to get our own drinks
Don't see the rave; made reservation as required. Showed up early and still waited even though half the place was empty. Ordered the ribeye medium rare; got well done. Sent back and received the second steak that was cooked to order but unseasoned. Wife ordered half rack of ribs and got 4 inches of ribs without any sauce on them which is fine, sauce was provided. Small portions but good service.
Ordered Wagyu beef. $54 per steak extra for sides. Not cooked properly. No flavor. Service was only average. Martini sent back because it was horrible. Don't mind paying a premium for an excellent meal. This meal sucked.
We’ve been here for almost an hour and still haven’t received our food nor have we gotten a refill on our water or been checked on by staff. I understand being short, but there should be accommodations for the prices they’re asking us to pay for an A LA CARTE meal… very disappointed.
used to be good not any more would not honor free dinner coupons ordered scallops for app. we got 2 scallops worst rib eye i have ever had from a steak house will never go back to bronco billys steak house again
It took 30 minutes to get our salads and two of them were wrong. It was my sons 21st birthday and she only came around once for drink orders. She finally came and we finally ordered another round of drinks before our meal was served but they came after we finished our dinner. AND I asked for au ju and it never came. It was so disappointing.
The steak was dry, the survice wasn't that great and the quality of the food wasn't all that great and the price was ridiculous for the quality. I've always had a good experience at the steakhouse up till the last two times and I do not recommend this restaurant.
Walked in and place was empty. Asked for a table for 5 and was told that in 1hour and 45 mins from that time, the place was expecting to fill up with people who made reservations. They would not seat my party. Myself or anyone who works for my company will not go to this establishment ever. We could have been serve and gone in less that an hour. Their loss.
Used to there many times and always took our guests. No more! Ridiculous pricing, not worth the food. Liked the old menu better.
The bacon shrimp was dry and crunchy....4 tiny shrimp with sauce...the price was 13$ for that...🤬 it was doable after a whole shaker of salt..... I am looking forward to visiting Fshbone Grill!
I give ☆ because the food my entire party was COLD. Steaks, baked potatoes, soups... everything! You'd think for what you pay for the food that it would at least be HOT. We went 9/29/18
Tonight was such a disappointing experience. My wife and I have been going there for years to great food and food worth the expense. But they changed their menu and dropped some great dishes. Okay I can live with that but the quality of the food is not good anymore. The prices are outrageous compared to the fish you get. The filets are so small for the price, the green beans were tough and undercooked. The cream spinach is just tasteless and nasty. Bread is different and cheaper quality, you walk out paying over $120.00 dollars and could go to Famous Dave's or to another chain restaurant and spend half that and get a much better meal. I truly hope they go back to the quality they once had and educate the chef on how to properly cook. Sad situation
My husband made a date night reservation at Bronco Billy’s Steak House, through Open Table. We had a lovely day and evening planned in Cripple Creek, as I am an artist and had a Open House, then dinner, at Bronco Billy’s Steakhouse and the Christmas Show at the Butte. We valet parked and went upstairs… no reservation. It was 5 pm and it was not full. We were treated like interlopers and asked to wait. We got a small table in the bar, when there were plenty of open tables in the restaurant. The table was not set, the bartender who was busy waited on us. The service was less than stellar. 189$ later we are done with a most unsatisfactory dinner. We have always had a wonderful time there, but sadly we will rethink visiting again. The hostess was rude and unprofessional.
This new menu is awful. Waitress was super nice loved her but the prices? $95 for crab and $46 for bone in ribeye THAT DOESNT EVEN COME WITH A SIDE? Unheard of! The bread was hard, dry, and plain. Won’t be returning.
OK Been a couple years sense we ate at the steak house. Use to be our favorite place to eat and take guests to. But never again. Let me break it down. If you order a steak sense they no longer have prime rib. Any way you get a steak and only the steak 55.00 order a baked potato another 9.00 no veggies to be had. Ordered a salad 16.00 I ordered stuffed shrimp. With my steak 12.00 and got 2 small shrimp. One in our party ordered the stuffed shrimp 36.00 and got 6 small shrimp and said they were not good and only ate 2 of them. Needless to say the meal was just OK. Cost 375.00 for 4 steaks on order of 6 shrimp and 3 salads. Had 2 appetizers fried okra that was barley cooked and little to no breading the other was a crab sauce with few pieces of bread to dip it in. Took 6 months or weekly playing of food comp to pay for it. Minu was very slim Pickens. Quality was just OK and price was outrageous. Oh and wanted crab legs but 75.00 a pound? Come on guys bring back the good old Bronco Billy's. Then to top that off they no longer serve breakfast. Went down to Double Eagle only went 2 time and only about an hour each time had 40.00 in food comp feed 5 people a good breakfast for 42.00. Use to love broncos family and the number one place to gamble but you have driven long term loyal staff away and tightened up the machines so much its not even fun to loose there anymore. Seems most of the fimalure faces we called the bronco family are now scatter through all the other casinos in town and run to say hi and how they miss seeing us. So I think our travels for a new adventure has just began. Good luck Broncos hope you see the light soon.
I never write reviews but our experience at this place was TERRIBLE. We ate there 6/17/2017 in the evening and the both my wife's dinner and mine did not include all the ingredients that were supposed to come with the meal according to what the menu said (we had to ask for them). The steaks were tuff and over cooked, they charged us incorrectly, and when I asked about the charges the manager came out and was very rude and then walked away before hearing what the problem was. For the price of the food you can DEFINITELY find, better food, better service, for less at other places in cripple creek. I believe in writing detailed reviews so here is EXACTLY what happened: When we were there they had a father's day special that said on the special that it was a Buffalo prime rib with choice of two sides for $35 dollars. When placing my order I asked the waitress very clearly if there would be an additional charge for the sides I ordered, she said no. Both my wife and I ordered steaks and we both asked for them to be cooked medium. The steaks came back well done not medium, my wifes steak was supposed to have blue cheese on top it did not we had to ask for it. And my steak was supposed to have caramalized onions and mushrooms on it and it did not have those as well. They then charged me an extra for the sides I ordered after the waitress told me I would not be. When I asked about the charges the waitress said that she would see what she could do. I don't know what the waitress told the manager but the manger then came out pointed out the text on the menu that I guess I should have believed over the waitress and walked away without hearing what the problem was. We will never ever be back.
