I visited Tindli By Chef Karnavar restaurant today and really enjoyed my meal. The place was clean and the staff were friendly. I ordered a sea food sadhya, Malabar chicken biryani and Ada Pradaman payasam it tastes really good The portion size was good for the price. Overall, it was a satisfying meal, and I would come back again.

We had an amazing Christmas Kerala feast at Tindli, and it was truly wonderful from start to finish. The starters, main course, and desserts were all incredibly delicious. The service was excellent, and every dish tasted comforting and homely. We really appreciated the lovely ambience, attentive service, and outstanding food quality. A memorable dining experience overall.Would highly recommend this place.

We ordered many different items: seafood, non-veg and vegetarian; they were all amazing. The service was brilliant, with a helpful waiter and quick food. In the starters, the Malabar Black King Prawns, the Squid Varuval and Tawa Fish Fry were all amazing. I highly recommend these starters. For the mains, the spicy chicken burger was juicy and rich with flavor, whilst the Mohini was packed with deliciousness and the Paneer Makhni was superb. Overall, the atmosphere, service and food was outstanding. I highly recommend this place and these dishes in particular.

Tindli never fails to amuse us with their unique specialty menus. There’s always something new to try during every visit. Shruthi, Surya and Sooraj are always happy to serve us. A must visit place for Kerala cuisine. 😋🤤

We chose this restaurant to celebrate my wife’s birthday and it exceeded expectations in every way. The food quality was outstanding — the chicken biryani was rich in flavour and perfectly cooked, the malai kebabs were incredibly soft, the uppam was fresh and well prepared, and the surmai fry was cooked to perfection. We also ordered a few cocktails, all of which were balanced and well crafted. Every single dish we tried was excellent. The overall experience made the celebration even more special. Highly recommended for great food and a memorable dining experience. Will definitely be returning.

Amazing food, restaurant was so clean and the staff were soo helpful and so nice, definitely highly recommend this place if anyone want to eat best kerala food. All the food we ordered was delicious definitely recommend the aatirachi curry. Dona was very helpful with the lovely smile.

The food was super tasty and felt really authentic to Kerala cuisine. The flavors were rich and nicely balanced. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially when we weren’t sure about some of the dishes—they explained everything clearly. The place had a warm, welcoming vibe. Definitely recommend it if you enjoy genuine South Indian food. 😊

This place is one of my favourites. Authentic southern Indian flavours. Malabar Chicken curry, Malabar chicken dum biryani and chicken tikka varuval is a must have!!

I visited Tindli with my partner to have the valentines set menu. I have had a takeaway from here, however it does not compare to experiencing these dishes fresh. The food was beautiful l fragrant ans authentic dishes, and brilliant value for money. Special mention for Sruthy and Mebin who’s service was impeccable, and the bar tender who made lovely cocktails. Would recommend and plan to visit again soon.

Absolutely loved our experience at Tindli Chef by Karnavar! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The food was fantastic, full of authentic flavours and beautifully prepared. Every dish felt fresh and comforting, especially the Kerala style dishes which were rich and delicious. A special shoutout to Sruthi, whose service was truly top notch. She was warm, friendly, attentive and made sure we had everything we needed, which made the whole dining experience even better. Great food, wonderful hospitality and a lovely atmosphere. Definitely a place I’d recommend and happily visit again!

I gave myself a few weeks after I visited Tindli so that I don't overreact. I also visited once again before writing the review. But my verdict is unchanged - Tindli is a rockstar, and has a tittle shot as possibly being the best Indian restaurant in South London. Every single dish we ordered was an absolute banger. There were one or two dishes that the staff said were unavailable. But when my mother broke into Malayalam with them, they somehow managed to conjure up one of the dishes previously declared unavailable. I didn't complain. On our second visit the Ada pradhaman seemed slightly more watery than on the first visit, but it still tasted great (the combination of poppadom, cooked banana and pickle to go with it is a treat), so no real complaints there. The staff can sometimes give the impression of being a bit overwhelmed with the crowd. A simple bottle of refrigerated beer took more than 20 minutes to materialise, and came after we were half way through the starters. Not good. The fact that I'm giving Tindli five stars despite these minor hiccups speaks to how ridiculously awesome their food is.

Excellent food, lovely ambience, and great service. Everything we tried was delicious, especially the chatti parotta, Malabar chicken biriyani, chicken tikka masala, and mutton ularthiyathu. Authentic flavors and well-balanced spices. Definitely worth trying. Highly recommended!

Amazing food… feels your heart and stomach both. Everything is delicious but I would highly recommend their Dum Parotta and Dum chicken briyani… Shruti gave us an amazing serving, felt like family…. We order everytime, but will surely visit again and again.

Had an amazing dining experience at Tindli! We tried the Thalassery Chicken Biriyani, Chatti Choru, and Kalyana Choru — and all of them were absolutely delicious. The biriyani was rich in authentic Malabar flavors, the Chatti Choru was perfectly balanced and hearty, and the Kalyana Choru brought that traditional wedding feast vibe. Everything was flavorful, well-prepared, and served fresh. Great ambiance and friendly service too. Highly recommended if you’re craving real Kerala-style meals!

The best kerala restaurant in Town! We really liked everything we ordered but Porota and beef curry served in a pot was top notch and the presentation was amazing. Overall, I would recommend all this restaurant if you want to eat real authentic kerala cuisine.

First time dining in and it was delicious. The Fish mohini is a must try as well as the appam. Super soft and soaks in the gravy. I missed the onam feast, but hopefully make it next year. We will be a regular at Tindli.

I eat at Tindli as often as I am in Croydon. And I make sure I bring friends and colleagues too. Today's visit was as wonderful as ever. The food for 12 of us was exceptional, as was the politeness and professionalism of the staff. We will be back!!

The most authentic and delicious Kerala/Indian food you can get in United Kingdom. It’s not too expensive either. The staff was super friendly and service was very fast aswell. Their kerala fish curry and kappa puzhukku is what i loved the most and it blew my mind.

Chatti choru was amazing and good portion size, Chicken biriyani was Travancore style, Porotta combo also good portion and delightful. Staff was amazing and very helpful Parking was plenty on side roads (Sunday)

The food at the restaurant was delicious, and my colleagues were very kind and helpful. I tried the Ambur chicken biryani, beef biryani, deviled prawns, and mutton fry — all of which were excellent. The prices were a bit higher, but definitely worth it for the incredible taste.

Amazing choice of food and unmatched flavours. From vegetarian to meats and seafood; all options were great and true reflection of authentic South Indian food as you'd get in India, without unnecessary anglification. Even the Indian drink options are better here. Had an opportunity to meet the Chef himself while I was there. Great chap! Highly recommended and a must visit if you are in south London. Remember to book in advance.

The best place to be for atmosphere and food. They cater for vegans. Staff very helpful. Always accommodating and will try to please you in any way they possibly can.

We visited Tindli , I was impressed with the ambience of the restaurant. The staffs were humble and friendly. Food was top notch,as a non malayali I can say it was the best sadhya I have had in the UK. My 2 year old who is such a picky eater said the sadhya was so yummy 😋.

We have been visiting here for twice now. All of us enjoyed the food here both the times. We tried beef fry, kerala parota and some other dish which I forgot it’s name but it was too good. Very cheerful and nice staff, who helped us both times choose the apt menu. Great restaurant I must say and I strongly recommend.

I saw amazing reviews and I had to try. I was not disappointed and had a great food experience. The decoration of the restaurant is warm and welcoming. The waitresses were very friendly, attentive and open to our questions on the food. Maybe something need to be done about preparing deliveries food within the same room where we were eating. It felt like a take away service more than a dinning room. Easy to do with the other dinning area which was empty. Apart from that we will happily one back for this modern Indian cuisine exquisitely prepared and served with big smiles!

We chose Tindli based on the positive reviews. The restaurant has stylish décor and the service was attentive throughout. The starters were decent, with the chicken tikka being the highlight of what we tried. For the mains, the dishes were quite saucy, but lacked substance — there wasn’t as much chicken, paneer or prawns as we’d expected. Overall, I found the experience ok, but I wouldn’t be in a hurry to return.

One of my favorite parts of the restaurant was a striking peacock picture on the wall vibrant, elegant, and eye-catching, just like the restaurant itself. The service was very nice, staff were welcoming and friendly too. I liked the beef however the biriyani not that much. The starters were very interesting, I can't recall the name of the dish but have not seen that before in other places. It's a very long distance to travel here but will try other dishes next time if we are within the vicinity. As a small suggestion, please ensure music played is Malayalam songs to further represent the culture.

I ordered the Tindly Special Bamboo Parotta and Tindlu Special Biriyani, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The chicken on the parotta was raw and uncooked, and the biriyani barely had any chicken at all. We visited and got takeaway on 06/12 at around 10 PM, only because a friend recommended the place, but unfortunately it was not a positive experience. The person who answered the phone was rude, rushed the order, and seemed uninterested in taking it properly. I asked for pazhampori with ice cream, and was initially refused because it was takeaway. Only after explaining that I have a baby and couldn’t dine in did she reluctantly agree. The service was awful, and the food was even more disappointing. We drove two hours with a newborn to try this place, and it was absolutely not worth it. We will never return and would not recommend it to families with children.
