Had such a lovely valentine's experience which came with a complimentary rose and Polaroid picture. These little extras were so much fun and memorable. Food was lovely and consistent throughout. Service by Emma felt personable and special. Our visit exceeded expectations 💘
Wonderful meal. Service was great, server was very polite and attentive. The food was very tasty and the menu varied Not sure the math on the xmas menu vs main menu worked, but who cares. Great food, great company, great service - all said wonderful evening with the family
Enjoyed a wonderful anniversary lunch at The Ivy Wimbledon. The food was exceptional, the atmosphere inviting, and the service made the celebration feel truly special.
Visited today for a birthday lunch and looked after by Harvey who was just amazing he looked after us from the minute we sat down and was so attentive. The food and drinks in here are always perfect. Lunch was delicious. We had such a fabulous time and felt so relaxed and Harvey treated us to a special birthday pudding before we left. As always it was a truly fantastic experience and it felt like a really special treat. Thanks Harvey and to everyone at Ivy Wimbledon today 😊
The manager Emma is absolutely amazing. We had a wonderful meal for Valentine’s Day. Food was lovely, staff were attentive.
Beautiful food - went here with my parents and husband. Definitely worth going! The only thing I would say is a lot of the dishes have nuts in and if you have a nut allergy unfortunately the waitress said they can’t change the menu - but what I did have was amazing!
Had a lovely lunch at The Ivy Wimbledon celebrating my birthday. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service really made the experience special. A big thank you to our waiter Ben, who was attentive, friendly, and went the extra mile to make the celebration feel special. Will definitely be returning!
Love this branch of The Ivy. Went this week to treat myself for my birthday, complimentary bubbly and dessert was lovely but the icing on the cake was when another complimentary that brought tears to both eyes. Staff were fantastic and the lovely bar man amending his waistcoat was attentive while I sat and waited for my table. Thank you, The Ivy Wimbledon for the surprise.
Orlando was an excellent host! He made us feel welcomed and very well looked after - it was a belated birthday for my Gran and I have just had a baby so he ensured the experience was memorable. Thank you!
We had a family gathering with the Christmas menu. The food was exquisite, the wait staff were all wonderful and friendly. We had incredible cocktails and drinks. Couldn’t fault a thing. Made for a magical afternoon
We recently celebrated our wedding with an intimate dinner for our closest friends and family in the beautiful Danby Room at The Ivy and we truly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect evening. From the moment we arrived, the service was nothing short of exceptional. A special mention must go to the incredible South African waiter Charl who looked after us throughout the evening and his charm truly elevated the entire experience. He made everyone feel so welcome and taken care of. The food was absolutely exquisite. Each course was beautifully presented and full of flavour our guests are still raving about it! From the starters to the desserts, everything was cooked to perfection and served with impeccable timing. I loved the crispy duck salad and the strawberry and elderflower trifle! And the cocktails were beautifully crafted! We are so grateful to The Ivy and the wonderful team in the Danby Room for making our wedding dinner truly unforgettable. It was elegant, joyful, and delicious in every way. Highly recommended for any special occasion! Thanks so much from Tom and Anita :)
Had a really great experience at The Ivy Wimbledon. Even though it was extremely busy, the staff were brilliant—friendly, attentive, and totally on top of everything. I had the duck parfait to start, which was rich and full of flavour, and then the steak for my main. It was cooked perfectly, exactly how I asked, and everything came out hot and well-presented. Service was spot on from start to finish, which made the whole evening feel relaxed and enjoyable. I’ll definitely be back.
I just wanted to say a huge thank you and love and gratitude to all the staff that made my Bridal Shower in the Denby Room so special and perfect! I had my Bridal Shower at The Ivy Wimbledon Village this weekend and it was amazing thanks to the staff and everyone that helped organize it. I want to say a very special thank you to Ryan who was our dedicated waiter serving us in The Denby Room upstairs. Ryan, what a credit you are to The Ivy Wimbledon. So professional, approachable, warm and the upmost attention to detail I have ever seen. So accommodating to everyone’s requests, so kind and lovely to interact with and understanding. Ryan you made my day so much more special. Thank you ever so much and I cannot recommend you enough to anyone who is having a special event. I would never hesitate to have another event here again, the decor and table settings were just beautiful, the food was incredible and the service was fantastic. Thank you The Ivy Cafe Wimbledon Village.
An early dinner at The Ivy Wimbledon was a delightful change of pace from our usual visits to the Chelsea location. We opted for this venue as we were attending a show at the Wimbledon Theatre with my two elderly parents, and it proved to be a wonderful choice. The experience was exceptional, and we were all thoroughly impressed with the staff, particularly Ryan. His attentiveness, politeness, and dedication were evident throughout the evening, as he managed a significant portion of the service on his own without a single lapse. The only minor point of concern was a somewhat unwelcome aroma in the disabled toilet, which slightly detracted from an otherwise perfect experience. Despite this small issue, the exceptional service and lovely atmosphere made for a truly memorable evening.
★★★★★ Fantastic Valentine’s Day Experience! Had a wonderful Valentine’s dinner at The Ivy Wimbledon! The service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was perfect for the occasion. A special thank you to Emma C. who went above and beyond to make our evening extra special her attention to detail and warm hospitality truly stood out. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and the overall experience was flawless. Highly recommend for a special night out. Will definitely be back!
Ivy Wimbledon has everything you could want in terms of atmosphere and interior design. The space is elegant and stylish, creating a truly luxurious dining experience. The service was also exceptional – friendly and attentive, making the entire meal enjoyable. I had the 2-course lunch menu, and both the chicken skewers and seabass were delicious. The portions were generous, and the dishes were fresh and full of flavor. The seabass was particularly impressive, cooked perfectly with a tender texture. From the ambiance to the service to the food, everything was spot on, and I would definitely visit again!
I had a Mother's Day treat from my daughter today. It was a wonderful day. The staff were wonderful and professional. Very friendly and considerate especially as it was a very busy day. I liked the fact that you are not rushed and staff leave you to enjoy your meal at your own pace. Food was delicious and surprised myself when I cleaned my plate. Not a morsel left!
Ive been to this place couple more times before and fallen in love with the atmosphere , food and service more and mire every time I visit. Blackened cod was on point and very delicious. Very light and yet fulfilling and satisfying portion. The beans are great side for complimenting the healthy dish. Breadcrumb chicken is also not oily at all. The baby gem salad is a must eat side for the dish and it is very good and tasty. Foods are very good portion that I even didn’t want any desert. The service is amazing. The lady served us was very polite and friendly. She had a very good understanding of all foods and even checked with her manager to give us accurate information.
Amazing lunch at the Ivy. The food was good and the salmon was one of the best ever I had! The service was amazing and really attentive. The ambiance was also great.
A truly unforgettable dining experience at The Ivy Wimbledon Village: My first visit to The Ivy Wimbledon Village was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the luxurious and artistic ambiance. The decor is simply stunning, with beautiful details that create a truly special atmosphere. The food was equally impressive. Every dish was a masterpiece of culinary artistry, showcasing the finest ingredients and impeccable technique. The flavors were exquisite, and the presentation was flawless. The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff who went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. Overall, The Ivy Wimbledon Village is a true gem. The combination of exquisite food, stunning decor, and impeccable service makes it a must-visit for anyone looking for a truly unforgettable dining experience. I can't wait to return!
One weekday evening, I visited this place with people I care about, and I was genuinely surprised to find such an atmospheric spot in Wimbledon. The ambiance exuded from the interior itself—elegant yet understated, luxurious without going overboard. It struck the perfect balance. The staff’s service was as delightful as the food’s flavors, which made me savor every bite, something I hadn’t done in a while. The prices were fair, and it’s a spot I’d love to revisit with loved ones right here in the neighborhood. It’s a place that can easily turn an ordinary evening into something a bit more memorable.
It was truly a wonderful lunch experience at The Ivy! From entering the restaurant and walking through, you can tell theirs a highly qualified front house employees and customer service. The Decor, layout and seating was top notch and also recommend sitting in the conservatory to get some breeze and natural light. Food wise, wish we had more room to eat and try but will recommend the Cod dish and the Sea Bass. Crusted nicely, seared well and devouring mussels as well. As a side, the pesto pine nut salad was great! They just launched their new menu - you must visit!
We visited for breakfast during the Wimbledon tournament. As you can expect, they were very busy but had plenty of staff to cope with the demands. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. The food was great! We loved their decorations for the tournament.
This restaurant has a very nice environment, a very posh feel to it and very friendly and comfortable. Me and my partner went for the vegan option, i got the vegan curry and my partner got the veg mushrooms burger and both meals were full of unique flavours. This venue also have a nice selection of cocktails and wines. The waiters here are very attentive and friendly, excellent customer service guys and thank you all.
What attracted me there most was the atmosphere and food presentation. The food turned out to be delicious and reasonably priced. Our server didn't smile much, which was the only downside. Overall, we had a great experience.
Great food - superb service. They were happy and helpful accommodating the needs of my sound and crowd sensitive son. And what a visually beautiful place!
Taken out for a breakfast for my birthday, which was not only a surprise but a very pleasant one. I had the full breakfast served by an extremely efficient young lady, who checked that we had everything and that everything was ok. Every item was hot, well cooked and of good quality. My daughter in law law had the salmon with poached eggs with rostis. It looked very appetising and apparently tasted as good as it looked. Great value for money ensuring we will be coming back.
Thank you to Emma and her team who looked after us so well. I haven’t been to The Ivy Wimbledon in a long time and I am pleased to say that all standards are very high: food was impeccable and service was quick and efficient. Value for money is great and I highly recommend for any occasions! For me it is still the best place to go in the Village. Wishing all the best to the team and keep up the good work. J, J-B G
Wow what a fab dining experience, the food is really top notch! We had the scallops starter, steak for mains with creamed spinach and chips as sides, then the chocolate bomb and Christmas pudding to finish. Every course was delicious and cooked perfectly. My steak was cooked perfectly. Excellent bottle of Valpolicella red wine too. We were really blown away by how good this Ivy was, we will definitely be returning. Thank you for a fab evening!
We’ve been frequent diners here for many years, but unfortunately our last two visits were quite disappointing, with service well below the standard we were used to. On New Year’s Day, we decided to give it one last try, third time lucky, and we’re so glad we did. A gentleman named Sabeen in the upstairs dining room truly saved the day. He was efficient, attentive to all his tables, and genuinely friendly. He is an absolute credit to the restaurant. Thanks to him, we’ll be returning …and hopefully securing a table in his section next time too!
I have just been to the Ivy Wimbledon this week and had the most wonderful experience. My partner and I were in the area and decided to pop in for lunch. We were warmly welcomed and accommodated (which is rare at this time of the year without a booking). The space is beautiful and has a relaxed but special feel to it. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Everything felt very well looked after, and the food and drinks were delicious. I loved the flambéed pudding which added a real Christmas feel. The table next to us were having the Ivy Santa, it was so well presented that I already want to come back to try it! A great place! I will definitely be back very soon!
We had a really excellent experience this week! The best Ivy maybe? Our table was running a little late so we sat at the bar and were looked after by Caine, a delightful young chap who was super friendly and helpful. The food was delicious amd the table service faultless!
We went to Wimbledon Ivy for a Christmas outing with friends. We decided to embrace the festivities and went with the Christmas set menus and we didn’t regret it. The presentation and food were beautiful, and the Ivy Santa dessert really marked the start of the Christmas season for us. The team were very attentive from Managers to waiters , loved the fairy lights and atmosphere was exactly what we were after. A great spot for a relax and guaranteed festive atmosphere. We will surely be back to try their main a la carte soon. Thank you the Ivy .
I recently visited The Ivy in Wimbledon with my mother to celebrate her birthday, and we had such a lovely experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, with attentive staff who made the occasion feel special. My mother ordered the smoked salmon, which was beautifully presented and full of fresh, delicate flavours. I went for the caramelised spiral croissant, which was absolutely delicious — buttery, flaky, and perfectly sweet. The service was excellent throughout, and to our surprise, the team even brought out a birthday cake at the end to celebrate my mother’s special day. It was such a thoughtful touch that really made the meal memorable.
Went for a birthday dinner and the ambience was pristine, loved the atmosphere though was busy but everything felt under control and organised. The food was beautiful had the Zucchini fritti for nibbles the portion was good and my main dish was the steak absolutely delicious. Service was top notch Tyler really took care of us and ever so helpful. I will definitely go back to explore more from the menù. Thank you Tyler 💯
Had a delicious lunch here last Saturday afternoon. Excellent value for money with their 1917 special two course menu. I had the French Onion soup starter and shepherds pie and broccoli main. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. My friend had the pâté with brioche and the sea bream with mashed potato main. Again, absolutely delicious. You have to order sides separately as the mains do not have side dishes included. Though the restaurant was extremely busy, service was excellent and there was a lovely atmosphere.
Had a meal on Saturday night. Was great. Really don't like a compulsory service charge however. £97 for a 3 course meal,,, steak and chips main with 2 beers. (1 person)
Went here for Downton Abbey menu, the main dishes are delicious, the others dishes are okay
Having explored several dishes at The Ivy Cafe, I must say that my ultimate favorites are their pancake and full English breakfast. The food presentation is noteworthy, and the staff members are impeccably dressed and consistently presentable, adding a touch of professionalism to the dining experience. Moreover, on the artistic side, there's cool artwork on the walls, each piece in nice frames with interesting designs. This makes the whole vibe at The Ivy Cafe awesome - not just the food, but also how it looks and feels. It's a great place to eat and enjoy the atmosphere.
I recently had lunch at The Ivy Wimbledon with a friend who was visiting, and we were both thoroughly impressed. The service was exceptional; the hostess greeted us warmly with a smile, and our server was very pleasant and friendly, also with a lovely smile on her face. The layout of the restaurant is delightful, with a beautiful, quintessentially English atmosphere that adds to the dining experience. However, the restaurant was a bit cramped and very busy. The food was very decent, with a separate vegetarian/vegan menu, which is a nice touch. I had the Chicken Milanese, which was pretty good, while my friend enjoyed the Chargrilled Halloumi. Our favourite dish was the Truffle Arancini, which we had as a starter. The Zucchini Fritti were also quite enjoyable. Portion sizes were just right. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience. We will definitely be returning!
Good fish chips, crème Brûlée was the cherry on top good spot yum!
The food and everything was so good !!! Ivy Café Wimbledon offers a consistently polished dining experience that feels both welcoming and refined. The interior is stylish without being intimidating, making it just as suitable for a relaxed brunch as it is for an evening meal. The staff are attentive and professional, striking a great balance between friendly and efficient, which adds to the overall sense of ease from the moment you arrive. The food is reliably excellent, with a varied menu that caters to different tastes and occasions. Dishes are well presented and full of flavour, whether you’re opting for a classic Ivy favourite or something lighter. Combined with its prime Wimbledon location and warm atmosphere, Ivy Café is a dependable choice for everything from casual catch-ups to special celebrations.
Came here to celebrate a very special occasion, the atmosphere was lovely and the front of house were very welcoming. Food was great. However, service was very slow. It took like 20 mins for our orders to be taken, we weren’t even offered any water up when we were sat. The staff didn’t even ask if we wanted a refill and when I did ask, they forgot and I had to ask twice. The place wasn’t even busy so I am wondering why there was a lack of attentiveness. It’s a shame as I’ve been here before and I really enjoyed it. It put a bit of a dampener on our special occasion.
The Ivy Cafe is a chain of restaurants full of rich history and classical British food. The ambience and decor of the Ivy is full of beautiful artistry and restaurant furniture creating such a timeless atmosphere. This is the type of place you dine at with your phone camera in hand because at every corner there is something stunning to capture. Unfortunately, the quality of food doesn’t live up to the standard you expect considering the prices on the menu. I was disappointed by the lack of flavour with every course I had. It was a shame because every one I dined with ended up using the salt and pepper shaker to amplify and elevate the dishes. The freshness and quantity of food was more than adequate but points lost for the lack of flavours. The service we received was incredibly, our waitress was so helpful and enthusiastic. She really elevated our dining experience with her humour. Overall, it was excellent service but below par food. This is a restaurant I recommend everyone to dine at purely for its history, artistry and diving into classical English style cuisine.
Quite disappointed with the experience whilst the food tasted fine, the service is very poor, it took ages to get drinks and some items requested never came. We had scallops, burger and blackened cod, each had a cocktail, and a glass of wine. We skipped dessert for to the inattentive service. Scallops and burger were both very over cooked. The cod was delicious and perfectly cooked. Top notch cocktails, deuce and fig leaf negroni. Will still return as I think this was a once off and the atmosphere is lovely, will see how the next visit compares.
They have a good menu with lots of options to suit plenty of tastes. We enjoyed our food when it came but during a busy Friday night, it took over 50 minutes to get our mains served despite asking them to check on them repeatedly and being told 'it is coming' and nothing showed up. By the time the mains came, the entire table was quite hangry. This is disappointing for an Ivy which we enjoy going to for its consistency in the food quality and service. We voiced out disappointment to the manager who apologized and then walked off. Not sure I would go back again, most especially during such a busy rush. UPDATE: The management was keen to support our return so we went back and had a lovely lunch there a few weeks later. The service was much more consistent as the seasonal rush seem to have died down a bit. The food was good and the service team was on point, especially our waiter Mr Tikaram who made our meal enjoyable with his focus on our comfort and timing of our orders. We appreciated their efforts and saw that the other guests were also relaxed and enjoying their time as well during the post holiday rush.
We enjoyed our daughter's birthday and the children really enjoyed their experience. The adults were less impressed. Our food didn't arrive at the same time with the children eating first, adults second. Not sure why we weren't eating all together. Bacon arrived separately to my burger as chef forgot to put it in. Pigs in blanket arrived after we had finished our meal. Bottled water was warm. Staff were friendly but inexperienced. One server called my wife 'sir'. Had to ask for menus to be removed from the table. It just didn't meet the standards we were anticipating given the brand. I despair to mention it but the hygiene of one of the staff was unacceptable - the last thing we want to smell during a succulent meal is someone's body odour. My wife had to hold her breath. Given all of this we won't be holding our breath for a return visit any time soon.
Great service, lovely decor but very boring and mediocre food for the price. Food was bland. Hardly any lobster in the lobster linguine. A lot of theatrics for mid food.
What a disappointing experience. We booked a table for 5 which included 1 child. The table itself could sit 4 at a push. The service started well but declined at our time at the Ivy went on. Our drinks took 30 to arrive. I manage to see our drinks sat at the bar for 10 mins, I manage to ask a member of staff to get them for us and they did. When our starters arrived I asked for a spoon which never arrived. I therefore had to rummage through the staff draws to find a spoon. My fiance, who's birthday it was, ordered the beef Sunday roast , the meat was fatty and roast potatoes where over cooked. The rest of the food was okay. We ordered desserts and they took 30 minutes to arrive. I was contemplating leaving just before they arrived. When we asked to remove the service charge, I would have thought the waitress or manage would ask why but no one seemed to care. I won't be returning.
Arrived at a 1pm booking to a que 10 -15 people deep. Waited for 15 minutes in the cold street and got to the front with the 2 staff at the front offering no smiles or explanations. Only got in after that as the 2 people in front left straight away for some reason. Once sat down, we were told the turkey wasnt available ( chose the festive fixed menu in advance ) so this being not available an obvious problam. At this point, and with the place being absolutely rammed, we decided we had enough and changed our order down from a bottle to a glass, a snack, and requested the bill. The bill turned up with the cost of the whole bottle still present so another mistake. On the way out, the explanation offered was that the system had allowed overbooking & supplier had let them down. I would think the 'calibre' of this venue avoids these issues. I did ask for recognition in our limited order & got the drinks for free so a small salvage where we then went and had an experience in a much more relaxed, organised & enjoyable environment. Only food comments was the avocado puree was fairly tastless & not spicy. More flavour in most shop bought guacamole...
