Niruta has this calm and caring energy that makes you feel comfortable right away. She recommended the green curry, and it turned out to be one of the best I’ve ever had.
Niruta greeted us with such warmth that it instantly made the restaurant feel more inviting. Her gentle smile and calm presence made the whole dining experience special.

I Had An Wonderful Day At Putney Bridge Thai Square. Me And My Whole Family Enjoyed The Thai Square Food And The Special Things was The Masamang Lemb curry And Panag Curry And Ofcrse The Different Verity Of Rice . niruta Waitress Was Wonderful At Her Service And Gave Us Friendly Service Of Food . Thank you So Much Thai Square Putney Bridge
Beautiful food and setting for a family dinner on a Sunday evening. This is now a new favourite when we're visiting again. Thanks to the team for a great night.
The restaurant has an upmarket atmosphere and a great view of the Thames & Putney Bridge if sat by a window. The staff were attentive and the service was quick. All the meals were tasty, fresh and the chef accommodated our request to remove cabbage from the Pad Si-ew. We booked through first table so got 50% off our food, which made it good value - definitely recommend eating here with the discount. Note there is a 12.5% service charge, and both soft & alcoholic drinks are quite expensive. It got busy on a saturday evening match day, so would recommend booking in advance to secure a table on a weekend.
We really enjoyed visiting this place. The location and view of the river are very pleasant, and the staff are attentive and friendly. The food was delicious, especially the starters (Duck Spring Rolls and Salt & Pepper Squid), and the massive Lamb Shank Penang curry that comes on the bone, which was tender and flavourful. We went with the First table app, so we only paid around £23 per person including drinks.
Thai Square Putney Bridge offers an exceptional dining experience that beautifully combines authentic Thai flavours with elegant riverside charm. The menu features an excellent selection of dishes, all prepared with remarkable freshness and depth of flavour — every plate I tried was vibrant, perfectly balanced, and truly delicious. The restaurant’s ambiance is calm and relaxing, enhanced by tasteful décor and a stunning view over the Thames, making it ideal for both casual meals and special occasions. The staff were consistently warm, friendly, and attentive, ensuring that every need was met without being intrusive — a level of service that genuinely added to the overall experience. The only minor drawback is that parking can be somewhat distant, requiring a bit of a walk to reach the restaurant. However, once inside, the welcoming atmosphere and exceptional food more than make up for the inconvenience. Overall, Thai Square Putney Bridge is a wonderful spot for anyone seeking authentic Thai cuisine, professional service, and a serene dining environment — well worth the visit despite the parking challenge.
Went for dinner at Thai Square and had an amazing experience thanks to Jennie and Elle. They were warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive throughout the evening. They checked in at the right times, made sure everything was perfect, and their friendly attitude really made the meal enjoyable. The service they provided truly stood out and made the dinner feel special. Thank you, Jennie & Elle, for making our evening so lovely!
Have been to a few Thai Squares in the city and was in the area so popped in for dinner with friends new to the area. Did not disappoint! Lovely restaurant, beautiful view of the river. Helpful and friendly staff. Thank you to the two waitresses and waiter today for your service. Lovely place to dine if you’re looking for a relaxing and quiet evening.
Niruta welcomed us with her lovely smile and made sure we had the best spot with an awesome view. She recommended the Mixed Starter, which was full of flavor and beautifully presented. Her warm service and attention to detail made the whole experience unforgettable.
Such a lovely experience! Niruta made everything smooth and enjoyable. She suggested the Thai red curry, and it was bursting with flavor. Her service made our night perfect.
Delicious authentic food and great attentive service - thank you for a lovely Christmas Eve meal (set menu £36 pp with lots of choices/good value) plus a prawn pad thai and soft shell basil crab mains off the al a carte. Lovely Staff to boot who also helped my Mother in to the restaurant in her wheelchair. Three people, bill came to £156 with £17 tip two alcoholic drinks, coffee and two jasmine teas. Will be coming back for more. Especially for the views over the river and the Putney Bridge. Highly recommended ! ✨⭐️🌟✨🌟⭐️✨
Took my mom here for her birthday........the food was delicious, excellent service and the ambience was amazing. We are sure to visit again.
Always a fantastic visit, guaranteed. During summer hours (it's 23rd Feb and this is "summer hours") they're open during the day too, as opposed to just for lunch and dinner. The food here is absolutely fantastic, and never fails to impress. It's family orientated and the staff are very friendly. Would highly recommend, and PROTIP by the way - during the "summer hours" if you like a quiet environment go from around 2-4pm. It's quiet and sometimes you're the only ones there. GREAT if you've got loud embarrassing kids (parents, am I right?!).
The best Thai food that I've had in a very long while. A little expensive but so worth it. I highly recommend this restaurant, you will not be disappointed!
Really had a nice experience here, service and food were on point especially during the day when it is quite. Staff were very nice and polite. I would come here again just for the food even if it is an hours drive. Love the decor and the view over Putney Pier.
Amazing restaurant great staff and incredible food. I was served a very polite young lady Called Pawell.
salt and pepper squid and duck spring is delicious we love it and portion of main course is also well satisfied for us we enjoy alot highly recommended staff niruta is very kind
Niruta welcomed us with such warmth that we instantly felt relaxed. The Chicken Green Curry she recommended had just the right amount of spice and creaminess.
Last weekend I visited with my friends it's very good restaurant with quality food, as well as the manager Bon and waitress Niruta Chaudhary give good services. It's very good restaurants in Putney Area.
Niruta welcomed us with her usual bright smile and guided us through the menu. The Chicken Satay was juicy, and the peanut sauce was divine.
Niruta has such a welcoming energy. She made us feel comfortable right away and guided us through the menu with great recommendations.
Great service by niruta good food tha atmosphere for dinner was perfect ! Next trip to London, we'll have to eat there again.

The service was quick and kind the staff took time to explain the balance of flavors in Thai dishes .the food was vibrant and beautifully presented
Niruta helped us balance spicy and mild dishes perfectly. The Red Curry with Beef was flavorful and aromatic.
Food was amazing really lovely atmosphere we were seated qovely our waitress niruta was lovely service was quick and🫶
Good was delicious, nice views of the river, very quant atmosphere easy to get a table. Service was quick, for Thai food really good standard! Would recommend.
Niruta made sure everything was perfect. The tom yum soup was spicy and refreshing—just how I like it.
What a wonderful service from Niruta! She’s warm, polite, and clearly loves what she does. Her cheerful personality made our visit extra special.
I had a great time out for Mother's Day, even though when I called to let the receptionist or whoever answered the phone that we were going to be running ten minutes late, the woman was unable to locate my reservation or comprehend what I was saying. Eventually, we arrived, and she was able to locate my reservation and said it was fine. When the staff finally arrived at the table, they were pleasant and helpful, even though it took some time for them to check on the table and serve us drinks.
I ate here for my birthday last year and I was not disappointed. Make sure you choose the seat by the window. The lighting feels very cozy and the river opposite the restaurant. You have a bar downstairs if you choose to spend that extra time with friends. The food is also nice , a little bit pricy but not exaggerated. I loved the coconut ice cream and sticky rice.
We visited the lovely Thai Square restaurant at Putney Bridge, which is situated by the River Thames. We had a very enjoyable meal and were served by some very pleasant waiters. The meal kicked of with a Gin Fizz cocktail which was very nice and refreshing, and some Chang Beer. We had an assortment of starters comprising Steamed Dumplings with a sweet dipping sauce, Deep Fried Squid, Soft Shell Crab and a Papaya Salad - very nice. For our mains we had the amazing Chu Chu Prawns, Prawn Pad Thai, Red Curry with Prawns and Jasmine Rice - all very nice. The restaurant wasn't too crowded and the views of the river were nice. Recommended 😀.
Pretty good food and very nice presentation. but pricey in term of drink. Nice river view but the day I went there was some work going on on the river so the view got blocked... there was this one dish that I am not happy about which is the grill prawn. £10 for a single grilled prawn... urg.
We had a brilliant time with family at Thai Rice. Great atmosphere, really great service, the ladies that served us were super, the venue was nice venue especially as we had nice view of Riverside. We felt very relaxed and comfortable. Only thing that let it down was the food. For instance my beef stir fry dish was slightly dry, the pad Thai was burnt and starters were bit bland. The only thing I liked was spring rolls and rice. I wasn't overly keen on the dessert. But the waitresses were really good and quickly replaced burnt pad thai. On the whole brilliant service, great venue but food wasn't up to much.
Lovely positioned restaurant on the bank of the Thames. Food was ok. Pancakes for the duck arrived tepid, sent them back, they brought the same ones which were just as tepid. Waiting for the main course sweet did see a mouse run across the restaurant. We are 5 blokes so we carried on. We probably shouldn't have.
The location and the place is great, BUT the FOOD is not we're quite disappointed! as we really love Thai food. We ordered breaded prawns as a stater the food came out very quick its like after 5 mins or 7 after we order it, and ending the breading is uncooked slightly doey! but because its quite pricey starter we still tried to eat it by removing the breading on the prawns! Then the mains, we had curry (green curry and penang ) but the sauce is too sweet and salty! the meat is good as its cooked just the sauce! Unfortunately we didn't enjoy our first dine! quite expensive too Maybe thats the reason why the place is quite empty.
I highly recommend not visiting, this was our second time here. First time we had a decent red curry and a bad burnt pad see ew. This time we ordered massaman curry and pad Thai - both were TERRIBLE. My husband and I are big eaters and LOVE Thai food, visiting Thailand before. This is not Thai food, the food has terrible flavour - far too sweet, over cooked (possibly reheated twice), burnt flavour ! The potatoes and carrots in the watery curry were almost inedible - such easy items to cook?! So disappointing and when I saw reviews this evening after visiting about mice I feel a bit ill!! I’m not sure how it’s still in business or able to parade as a Thai restaurant. I couldn’t bring myself to say anything to the waitstaff during our visit as there was nothing they could do to fix the meal and I couldn’t bare the awkwardness
I’ve never left a review for anything less than 3 stars and even 3 stars is very rare. Unfortunately a recent lunch I had at Thai Square was one of the worst meals I’ve had for a very long time. We started by ordering the calamari and dumplings. The calamari was so tough and chewy that we had to send it back. The pork and prawn dumplings had a very strong seafood smell to them which made me worry about how fresh the prawns they used were, so I couldn’t eat anymore than one of those. We ordered a Thai curry and stir fry for our mains which were ok, but really didn’t live up to the price were were charged for them. We ended up paying for one starter, two mains and a bottle of wine, which came to £85.
The service from Niruta made our dinner even more enjoyable. She was patient, friendly, and gave great recommendations. The mixed starter platter was a highlight, especially the satay skewers with that peanut sauce!
My wife and I attended Thai Square Putney on valentines night 2026 for what was meant to be a nice romantic evening she ordered sticky rice and and lamb I ordered egg fried rice and a medallion pork as I’d never tried that before, whilst consuming my meal I mentioned to my wife there was a taste to my food as she doesn’t eat pork she asked what tasted am I getting I could only describe it as a sour taste, she said maybe it could be lemon grass in which I continued with my meal, that night I came home with a stomach ache then became violently sick along with diarrhoea which clearly was food poisoning and spent the whole of the next day (Sunday) in bed unable to eat or drink now I’ve had to call in sick to work as I’m still not 100% now I will never visit Thai square Putney Bridge ever again!
