If you're in Cuenca and looking for a good restaurant, you're sure to find one, but... you'll be hard-pressed to find one with such a varied menu, both in starters and main courses, with generous and well-cooked portions, and such good value for money. Excellent service. Come in, order, and enjoy. Highly recommended.

Ángel has been serving meals for many years, and on some days he can easily reach 300 meals. The Mesón is a pleasant and spacious place with a menu of 25 starters and 25 main courses. The dishes are homemade and offer a good value. We really enjoyed ourselves; it's ideal for large groups of friends, family, or colleagues. He gave us a great time, sharing some of his experiences throughout his professional career. Recommended.

The best food in Cuenca, and its amazing value for money. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. A massive selection of food to choose from, and every dish I've tried so far has been absolutely delicious.

This place is popular and for good reason. The service, quality, portions and price are all good. There's a full menu but the day's specials are best. I don't know if they do reservations but if you get there after about 14.30, expect to have to wait for a table.

De casualidad, descubrimos este sitio a tener en cuenta... Al estar cerrado el "Laurel de Buenavista", fuimos la familia buscando un lugar cercano para comer... Impresionaba al entrar, ver todos las mesas ocupadas. Sin embargo, no eran pocas personas las que formaban una fila. Menú superamplio, de modo que siempre encontrarás algo que te satisfaga. Comida muy aceptable, a ese precio. Y sobre todo nos atendió un chico joven con una sonrisa, entusiasmo, cargado de buen rollo y ganas. Todos comentamos lo bien que nos atendió. Gente así, nos hace falta en este País. Gracias, tío !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For me, this is one of the best taverns in Cuenca. You don't need to spend €30 to eat very well. Here, the set menu is €14 with a wide variety of starters, main courses, and homemade desserts. The service is good, but it's advisable to book in advance.

Good quality, reasonably priced homemade food. It tends to get crowded, but if there's a table available, they'll find you one. When it's busy, the service is a bit slower, but that's normal. The waiter even offered to discount the price of our coffee because of the wait. A nice touch. We didn't have a reservation, and they found us a table. There were two of us. The food was good, and there's a good variety of dishes.

The "Casa de Comidas" concept lives up to its name. A safe bet that never disappoints. The place is always packed, and getting a table can be a real struggle, right? Decent food, well-served, and friendly service. The only downside is the excessive noise.

Very busy, sometimes the queue to get in can reach 1 hour. The service, logically, is not fast; but it is very correct. Menu with a wide variety of options, both 1st and 2nd and not so much dessert, at €12. Good green beans with ham, ajoarriero, tripes and pig's feet.

Fui a comer un menu. Faltaban 3 o 4 cositas pero q era justo lo q iba a pedir. Aún así, unos macarrones de primero y un combinado de lomo y patatas no puede fallar pero.... podéis juzgar por las fotos. Lomos superfinos y muy hechos/quemados, las patatas SÍ esstaba buenisimas y eran de verdad. Los macarrones superblandos, con tomate acuoso y hay q hacer zoom para ver el chorizo. El servicio bien rápido, demasiado rápido quizá. Te ponen en tensión para pedir.

Very overwhelming, they even seem to rush you to finish before eating. The menu is affordable and varied, but not worth it at all. We only liked the salad (plain). The meat was tough, the potatoes were horrible, the rice was overcooked, the cheesecake was inedible... We won't be back.

Bland food (at best) but plentiful at a good price. The big draw is the 14-euro menu. It's fine for a quick fix; if you want to enjoy a meal or be in a nice, pleasant place, check out other options. The service is quick and diligent.

Hemos decidido parar a comer ya que tenía buenas reseñas y no pintaba mal, pero hemos salido súper disgustados, un menú de 14€ a elegir muchos platos pero nada de calidad, los macarrones con salchicha pasados pasados, el arroz a la marinera pasado pasado, sin opinar de la oreja “plancha” , preguntando si realmente era a la plancha nos dice que sí y nos llega a la mesa con una oreja troceada adobada y fría . Hemos salido muy disgustada, ya que esperábamos comer bien , NO lo recomiendo !!

Everything was very fast, halfway through the first course, the second one was already on the table getting cold... the oxtail leaves a lot to be desired, especially if you eat it cold.
