Todo excelente al costado de la iglesia. Trato sabor y precios muy bien. Lo recomiendo ampliamente. Las carnes excelentes tanto solas como la Parrilla.
Excelente restaurante situado justo al lado de la catedral de Cuenca. El lugar se especializa en comida tradicional preparada con un enfoque moderno y mucho arte. Fuimos con amigos y pedimos bastante cantidad y postre. salimos a 35€ por cabeza. Muy recomendable.
Nos gustaron los torreznos, las migas también, aunque un poco secas, el morteruelo también nos gustó, aunque nos faltó algo más de pan para untar, muy poco nos gustó el ajoarriero. El café más caro que en los otros bares de la plaza. Uno de los camareros, de la terraza, un poco sieso, aunque el rato bastante bien
Fue un regalo y reservamos en este restaurante al lado de la catedral de Cuenca. El personal muy amable (la chica que nos atendió creo que se llama Elizabeth) estuvo pendiente de nosotros de que todo estuviera bien. Cuándo pedimos la carne nos preguntó el punto al que la queríamos y acertó en cada uno de los platos (en esta ocasión los dos pedimos la carne poco hecha) y acertaron a la perfección en ambos platos. La ensalada de hongos setas y semillas estaba buenísima. Mi ternera amielada al igual que la patata de acompañamiento también todo muy bueno. Sí que nos llamó la atención que el chuletón iba servido en una bandeja que al cortar la carne se movía. Y de postre tanto la torrija con helado como el helado de pistacho era casero y estaba muy bueno. Y todo esto con vistas nocturnas a la Catedral de Cuenca. Al reservar en la hora de la cena pillamos un ambiente tranquilo y con muy poca gente. Recomendable reservar antes de ir.

Después de un rato de turismo, paramos a comer en Abrasador El Secreto de la Catedral, un lugar ideal para disfrutar de los mejores productos de la tierra. El restaurante tiene su propio ganado y lo cocina directamente a la brasa, lo que hace que cada plato esté lleno de sabor y que cada bocado sea un auténtico placer para el paladar. Una parada obligada si quieres probar productos de primera calidad de la zona conquense.
Un lugar perfecto para desayunar, la ubicación, el ambiente y la atención del personal. Nos ayudaron con opciones en el menú y que nos sintiéramos a gusto. Todo muy rico y de calidad, volveré acá siempre que venga a Cuenca.
Hemos parado en éste restaurante a comer. Está situado a pies de la catedral. La carta bastante variada. El personal muy amable. Tienes comedor dentro pero nosotros comimos en la terraza y se estaba de maravilla, sombrita y brisa. Pedimos una tabla de ibéricos, una tabla de queso manchego con premio a nivel mundial y albóndigas de ciervo rellena con queso manchego. Si nos llamó la atención que las albóndigas sólo son una porque es muy grande, pesa cuarto kilo. Estaba todo buenísimo. Si tienes oportunidad, no te lo pierdas.
El camarero Gonzalo muy profesional y simpático. La comida muy buena. Nos ha gustado mucho la albóndigas de ciervo espectacular.

Una experiencia gastronómica excelente en pleno corazón de Cuenca. La calidad del producto es evidente desde el primer bocado. La carne, perfectamente sellada por fuera y jugosa en su interior, destaca por su sabor intenso y su punto de cocción impecable, acompañada de guarniciones sencillas pero muy bien ejecutadas que realzan el plato sin restarle protagonismo. Los entrantes muestran el mismo cuidado: elaboraciones bien presentadas, con ingredientes frescos y una combinación equilibrada de texturas y sabores. El gratinado está en su punto, dorado y cremoso, aportando un contraste ideal con la base vegetal. El ambiente es acogedor y elegante, con una ubicación privilegiada junto a la Catedral de Cuenca, que hace que la visita sea aún más especial. El servicio fue maravilloso, todos atentos, profesionales y con un toque cercano, siempre dispuesto a recomendar y a cuidar cada detalle. Nos dejaron esperar fuera en la terraza a qué se liberase una mesa en el piso de arriba, es pequeño pero acogedor. Un lugar muy recomendable tanto para una comida especial como para disfrutar sin prisas de buena carne y cocina bien hecha en Cuenca. Las alcachofas una delicia y la carne, perfecta. Recomendable 100%
Recomendado 100%. Estábamos de viaje de aniversario y hemos decidido reservar para comer en este lugar. La comida nos ha encantado! Tanto ha sido, que volvimos para cenar ese día y luego al día siguiente para desayunar y comer! Todos los platos estaban muy ricos, con buenas porciones y a precios adecuados. El restaurante está situado en el lateral de la Catedral, es un local con barra y mesas altas en la planta baja y un comedor en la planta superior, además de una pequeña terraza exterior. En la decoración prima la madera, incluidos el techo y las vigas. La comida es lo mejor del establecimiento, tomamos alcachofas parmentier, secreto ibérico y torrija con helado, todo francamente bueno. También merece la pena probar el morteruelo y la albondiga de ciervo según otros comensales que teníamos al lado. Fueron amables y nos atendieron con rapidez, aunque el comedor estaba lleno. Las raciones son grandes, y tienen un menú con carne a la parrilla.
Estábamos pasando la mañana en Cuenca y aprovechamos para visitar la catedral. Poco antes de entrar vimos en uno de sus laterales este restaurante. Vimos el menú, nos pareció interesante y decidimos echar un vistazo. En la terraza hacía frío, por lo que probamos suerte en el interior. Lo mejor de todo es que desde el momento en que cruzamos la puerta nos sentimos acogidos. Tuvimos suerte porque al poco de entrar se quedó una mesa libre y a los pocos minutos nos acompañaron hasta nuestra mesa. El salón es encantador, acogedor, bien decorado e iluminado. Pero pequeño, por lo que aconsejo hacer reserva. De entre todos los platos optamos por las alubias con oreja, las migas con uvas, la parrillada y por supuesto la albóndiga de ciervo. Sobre la parrillada,cuya carne se deshacía en la boca he de destacar las patatas que en principio no pensábamos comerlas porque las raciones son muy generosas y honestamente no nos cabía más, pero que al probar una no pudimos parar. Lo mejor de ellas,su piel crujiente. La albóndiga de ciervo y su sabor contundente no se puede describir. Hay que probarla. Fue en general una experiencia para recordar y un lugar para volver a visitar. Y si algún día le cambian el nombre que sea el tesoro de la catedral.
El lugar es un éxito. Los camareros son un encanto, atentos sobretodo el jefe de sala y la maitre que está en la puerta para sentar a la gente. La comida es increíble fuimos a comer en el puente de diciembre, mi pareja y yo.Todo buenísimo, pedimos huevos con trufa , croquetas y la albóndiga de ciervo, un espectáculo. Pedimos, 5 copas de vino blanco, que estaba buenísimo.Para finalizar pedimos una torrija con helado, que estaba súper buena . Relación calidad precio, perfecto. Lo recomiendo 100% y todo a unos pocos metros de la catedral y la plaza mayor, con mucho ambiente y buen rollo. Gracias por la atención y la comida, repetiría sin duda!!!!!
Fuimos a comer por casualidad y sin duda todo un acierto!!! Comimos menú y estaba todo buenisimo!! Tanto el ajo arriero como las migas estabas sensacionales y la parrilla de segundo es perfecta para dos. Como postre, no podéis perderos las torrijas, espectaculares! Estuvimos el sábado 7 de febrero tomando unas tapas en la terraza, hacia frio pero dentro había mucha gente, aún así estuvimos bien. Nos dejamos aconsejar y tomamos la albondiga de ciervo y oreja a la brasa, muy bueno todo, pero muy caras las cervezas. A destacar la atención y amabilidad de Manuel que tuvo en todo momento y la sorpresa que nos dió una chica de la barra al preparar dos "cremaets" espectaculares, (somos de Valencia y de eso entendemos). Reservamos para cenar, pero no pudimos ir (se puso con fiebre mi mujer) y lo anulamos. Repetiremos cuando volvamos a ir.

Alejandro was a great server! He was quick to help and got me started right away. I am not from Spain, so he was nice enough to chat with me and make me feel welcoming while attending to his other duties.
Good place for breakfast. We had a tarte Tatin, a piece of toast with tomato and olive oil and two white coffees for just 7.20 euros.

Went to the cathedral and was so glad we stopped at this restaurant for lunch! The meat was absolutely amazing! Luisa, who I assume is the owner, was very attentive and a delight to speak with. After our meal she gave us a tour of the restaurant. I’m a lover of history and she pointed out so many fascinating things and exactly what timeframe they were added or changed. You could really see the passion she had for that restaurant. The remodeling that Luisa did only enhanced the historical features and created a wonderful atmosphere. Two days later we found ourselves in the same area so we stopped in for dinner and the experience was even better. I can’t say enough good things about our waiter Ezequiel either! He obviously could tell I was American and when introducing himself to take the drink order, he did it in English. He just made me feel right at home, which isn't an easy feat given that home is over 4,000 miles away. Luisa remembered me, and made my burger herself. I can easily say it was the best burger I’ve had outside of the USA! Even looking at the picture now just makes me want another lol. If I am ever back in Cuenca, there is no doubt I will be going back there to eat!

En general buena experiencia, pero al ir recomendada por una persona de allí esperaba un poquito más del sitio. La carne que pidió mi pareja, exceptuando una parte, no se podía comer, demasiado nervio, costosa de mascar. Además tuvo que pedir que le pusieran sal y que le cocinaran algunos trozos un poco más. La ubicación es inmejorable y el sitio es muy bonito. Pero esos detalles no deberían presentarse en una carne que se espera que sea de mayor calidad.
We went here for dinner and were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly (the chef was even going to let us arrive early just because we were hungry tourists) and helpful. We ordered the parillada abrasador (selection of grilled meats on potatoes with peppers) and it was excellent. The beef was a little overcooked but otherwise delicious. Servers were nice and you can't beat the location. However my huevos rotos we're oversalted and cold. I'd go back to have a cup of coffee by the cathedral but I don't think I'd eat there again!
Great location in a shady street, reasonably priced menu, however very slow service specially if you order a la cart. The quality of the food seemed good. Judging from the appearance while we were waiting to be seatead, unfortunately for us it was a bit hit and miss, the lamb chops Chuletillas de cordero, and tomato mojete were great but the rice was burnt, and hard, strange combination but true story. Everything made sense when we shaw the 1.5 square meter kitchen, for a 20 tables terrace, moreover the 2 waiters serving the terrace were overstreached to say the least. Visitamos esta taberna en Cuenca y probamos la albóndiga de ciervo, que estaba muy buena, aunque el precio nos pareció algo caro. Las consumiciones venían acompañadas de una tapa de tortilla de patatas muy rica, un detalle agradable. Lo negativo fue el servicio: bastante desorganizado. Nos sirvieron primero la comida, luego la bebida y, tras insistir varias veces, trajeron finalmente los cubiertos y el pan, por lo qué probamos la comida fría. Había bastante descontrol en la terraza, a pesar de que no estaba llena. Una pena, porque la comida tiene potencial, pero la atención necesita mejorar mucho.
Went for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. The food tasted good but the meat was very chewy and bad quality. I saw all the reviews about this place and I decided to go and ended up unsatisfied. The waitress that served me was very nice. The guys weren’t very welcoming. Overall I recommend you to go for a drink as the tinto de verano was amazing. And this place has a really good location next to the cathedral in plaza mayor. I got charged 2.20€ for no reason I posted a photo of the invoice and a photo of the menu. They charge 0.20€ on each item served on the terraza that’s 2€ that I don’t know where it came from.
Went there on Saturday to drink some coffee with friends (about 17hs) . The waiter came to write the order and I asked for a recommendation.. he said : “ so if you don’t know what you want, I will come back later “ and he went I inside the bar … we had to do the order inside with other waiter .. a disaster .. seems that they didn’t want to work
The difference between two mornings is that of day and night. The First day I experienced as good quality pan con tomate the second day I received a three times more expensive bocadillo with slices of tomato? What should I think of this? The price also went up from a very decent 16,4 to 36,- caused largely by the bocadillo 6,- and the tarte de queso 5,- Not amused! It was also heavily salted for those who care about their health it might not be your choice.
We only ordered beer without any food, but even that took a very long time to be served. What was worse, we asked multiple times for the check, but they didn’t bring the bill for over 30 minutes. In the end, we were running late for our bus and had no choice but to go to the counter ourselves to pay. Very disappointing experience. The staff was insincere and rude. I will never go there again.
Wasted our whole day waiting for food. They are extremely understaffed. The kids nuggets were tasteless frozen processed chicken squares and the daily menu was barely eatable.
