We were traveling along Culebra when we noticed the sign, and we decided to check it out. We were seated immediately. The server was great and friendly. We tried the pho and the grilled chicken platter. They were good. Might not be the best, but we enjoyed our meal. We wish they used dark meat/leg instead of chicken breast, but that is just a nit pick. Yeah, we will go back if we are in the area.
My Grandson and I had a Great Lunch! I had appetizers and soup, and he had Pho with beef and tendon!! It was Delicious!!
Best Vietnamese food in San Antonio!! Never disappoints
This was a long overdue review. I love this place. My family has been supporting them for years since they were at another location and moved to this current one. We’ve had multiple birthdays celebrated here as well as my graduation. This restaurant always has great food. The owner is always kind and works really hard.
First let me preface by saying I arrived at 8:55 and they close at 9:00. Normally I wouldn’t come in when a place is about to close, but my wife and I had been fasting until dinner time and she REALLY wanted Pho... I asked if it was too late to get something to go, and they said, no, it okay! Never at anytime did they make me feel like I was inconveniencing them. They made me feel genuinely welcome! Natalie is super sweet and engaged my 6 yr old daughter in conversation while we waited for our food. That’s really good customer service! Also, the food was really delicious! Thank you so much to Natalie and the team, y’all really made our night and we will definitely be back... earlier next time!
It's incredible here! A coworker and I randomly decided to come here one day for lunch and it's turned into our favorite place to eat at least once a month. It's so good, I've never had such flavorful food before
My go to is the B-2 or B-7. The B-2 is thinly sliced pork with sliced egg rolls over vermicelli noodles, lettuce, julienned carrots, and cucumbers. The B-7 is the same except you get only the sliced egg rolls over the top of eveything. I always get extra fish sauce to top it with! So Good!! :-)
I was the only one there at 6:00 p.m. on a Saturday. The wait staff was quick and attentive without being annoying, food came out quickly and was piping hot. Vietnamese egg rolls were very crisp and tasty. Chicken and Shrimp Pho was flavorful, could have used more than 2 shrimp though. Overall I was happy and full when I left.
DELICIOUS!! We had the PHO. The soup was steamy and visually appealing. The taste did not disappoint. Even my 10 year old son loved it. Also, the waiter was attentive and pleasant. My son already wants to go back tomorrow.
I never really leave reviews but...I manage a very very busy urgent care clinic and sometimes I forget to eat and this place is right down the street on my way home... Well tonight I had the absolute worst headache (because I hadn't eaten all day) and I can't in 9 minutes before closing and they still allowed me to place my order and we're super kind...which I'm so so grateful for! I come here a lot and the food is always great! I've never had a dish I didn't like! Thank you guys again for allowing me to place my order! I was so hungry. :)
S4. Ga Xao Xa Ot - Chicken Lemongrass strips of white meat chicken sautéed with Lemongrass and served with steamed rice. H1. Hu Tiu My Tho - Chicken broth soup with pork, shrimp, rice noodles, green onion and fried scallions.. Both dishes were very flavorful even when combining the two together in some areas. H1. There was only 3 shrimp but plenty of pork. as for S4. It had plenty of onions and chicken. The pictures show the before and after picture of setting everything up. We will definitely be trying more items on this menu.
We had a really delicious meal tonight. We ordered the Summer roll, Vietnamese coffee, chicken lo mein, and beef pho. The summer roll was nice and thick, coffee was not too sweet, and both our entrees were very tasty. The beef pho broth was excellent. It’s clean and quiet inside and our food came out in a decent amount of time.
Went in today, had the same dish.... Simply amazing you need to try! I had the stir fried shrimp chicken and beef on a bed of fried egg noodles! Amazing! Fresh and hot! I asked for mild spicy and it was just hot enough for me to enjoy. I will definitely be back and recommend you give it a try.
Food was extremely delicious!!! Tables and restrooms were kept extremely neat and clean, the waitress who helped me was extremely helpful and sweet. The owner was extremely sweet and understanding as well. I lost one of my keys and they helped me find it! Loved this place, will be returning.
Great food, boba was good, and had the beef fried rice. The lady there is super sweet and friendly. Will Def go more often, it's right by our home.
We lived in this area for 7 years and we can kick ourselves for not trying this place sooner, it was fantastic. Try it! Oh and the chef/ owner came out and checked on everyone to make sure we were all happy with our food. We will definitely be back many times over 🤗
Good place for Vietnamese cuisine! I got the pho 1 and my husband got combination lo mein. We both loved our food! Good prices too!
Great place for Pho and their other plates are delicious. The Combination fried rice isn't greasy like most places and is a well sized portion. The waitress' there are courteous and attentive. Great service.
Always good food. Never disappointed at either location. 100 on health inspection. Go check it out. My favs: A2, P2 and L5
Quick and fast service. The owner was very attentive and made sure everything was good and I had everything I needed.
Very clean, simply appointed, following protocols, prompt service, tasty fare, and conveniently located--score.

We've been coming to this restaurant since before covid. It's always been good. I'm glad to see it survived.

I ordered the chicken vermicelli. The grilled chicken itself was good, but the dish was lacking key ingredients such as the basil, carrots, jicama, fried onions and scallions. It only had cucumber and romaine lettuce. It was very boring.
Smaller restaurant in a smaller shopping center. The food exceeded our expectations! The Pho is as good as any other restaurants at a much better price point. You get a lot of good food for not much money and they have a decent selection of other foods too. Service was great. Ambience was lacking but for the location, it kinda fit. Recommend the P2, P3 and the combination lo mein.
This was my first visit to this location since it recently opened. The ambience and feel of the establishment is great. Perfect amount of light and space. The server was nice and efficient. The food was superb! I had the P8 which is just the noodles and soup, but that was a good choice for me on a Friday during Catholic Lent. The toppings and condiments such as bean sprouts, onion, hoisin sauce, cilantro, etc. add the perfect flavor and were plentiful. Some places are stingy... not here. Only gripe was that they charged for refills on the soda. I will be comimg back again soon!
Overall is good with authentic Vietnamese food and a decent Pho restaurant. Ordered a Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodle). I see the most popular dish here is Pho. It looks good and solid amount of meat, noodle and broth. I had one before. I liked the pho better than Bun Bo Hue even the dish present a better color and look delicious. Today I tried Bun Bo Hue, the broth was a decent. And without Mam tom (shrimp paste) it quite alright and little less flavorful than it should be. It could been a perfect Bun Bo Hue with Mam Tom. There is good customer service and the girl/waitress is very knowledgeable about the menu and food in general. The restaurant is clean and spacious. I would recommend any eho wanna to try Vietnamese pho and a decent Bun Bo Hue. I might come back to try one of their specialities dishes, Mi Xiao Gion the crispy fried egg noodle with sea food variety. It is very popular among Vietnamese, Chinese, and Thai. Come by and check it out yourself. Won't be disappointed. 👍

The food was delicious! Our vermicelli bowls were missing cilantro and carrots like I have had before. The waitress was passive aggressive. I could tell she was annoyed we were there and she was talking robotic like she was saying everything your supposed to but u could tell she was annoyed. Kind of like we were bothering her. Its a chill spot and no one was in there except us.
This place has pretty good food. The service is okay. We always order our food to go and always call ahead. Our food is usually ready about 10 min after they say it'll be ready for pick-up. We honestly don't mind since the food is always hot. However, I would never recommend eating there since the place is awkward to dine in. I went in today to pick up our favorite; P6 chicken soup and chicken lo mein with a side order of egg rolls. The place was dark, awkwardly quiet, no music was on, one tv behind the counter was on without any sound, I doubt the AC was on since it was warm in there, and the young lady at the register kept going back to the kitchen. If it wasn't for sounds of the cook in the kitchen, it would have looked like there was no one that worked there. Although, I must say we've tried almost every Vietnamese place near this area, and this one is our top favorite (if we get take out)
Got lomein tasted different for sure. They used chowmein noodle instead of lomein big difference and taste for sure. Server was on her phone once we walked in was funny I’d recommend a bell so it doesn’t happen again. Also why the random pepper on top? Food was good just not what I am used to ig. Like I was eating pho instead of lomein. I personally do not like Pho the taste is different not for me. Good place to try at least.
They have very average Pho. We ordered P6. Pho Ga (noodle soup with chicken slices) and P7. Pho Rau Cai (noodle soup with carrots, bok choy, cabbage, broccoli) with chicken. We did carry out and the staff seemed friendly when picking up. However, they were very skimpy on the bone broth for P7. Cilantro was not included in either order of Pho and the plum sauce they provided was in the smallest plastic container possible and only 1/3 full. They included only one very small hot-sauce package. The greens did not seem to be fresh, and the jalapeño slices had some black rotting on them. Bottom line: it’s not a good place for carry out Pho even though ‘Pho’ is in their business name. If we visit again, we will try something other than the Pho.
We ordered Pho and Bun. The Pho was very bland which is odd for Pho typically it's very flavorful by nature. The Bun was just okay. But my biggest problem was that the lemons that came out on our tea were rotting. Pretty gross.
Nobody else in there except for us. The waitress sat in the corner on her phone and never attended to US unless we called her over. Not really good customer service! Food was okay. I wouldn't go back. the 2 Vietnamese fried rolls are more like the small Thai spring rolls $7. Ordered some fresh shredded pork and vermicelli rolls $7...They had no flavor. Unfortunately it was a waste of money. I ordered grilled pork rice plate. It wasn't worth the $15. The pork is flattened out to a very thin piece of meat. It was dry and not flavorful. The pho soup was decent but it didn't have a lot of flavor, as other restaurants that I've had it at. Overall I think they're trying to keep the business but I wouldn't go back as much as they charge.

I have never been more disappointed in a restaurant's customer service than what we experienced tonight. We placed an order online and my husband arrived at the time we were told it would be ready. They didn't have our order ready and hadn't even started on it because they had a question about what we ordered. Instead of contacting us by phone or email (because you supply both for the online order) they waited until he got there. The female hostess informed my husband that our order had not been started. Then the man who has been working there for years approached my husband and was verbally abusive to him. He told him he didn't have the order and didn't know what we wanted and told my husband to look at the menu. Again we ordered online and it was confirmed by the restaurant so he should have known what we ordered. He then said it would be at least 30 minutes before they would have our order which we had already paid for. They offered no apology or kind gesture for the inconvenience. They prepared the diners orders first and the man purposely would not bring my husband the order when it was ready but had brought every other diner's order out to them. He had the female hostess bring it out. We have never felt more disrespected as paying customers. We've been eating here for years but we will never eat here again. For (what I assume is the owner) to treat a pain customer with such discontent is completely unacceptable.
Overall it was ok. The service is great and the restaurant was very clean and bright. I order the Pho and finished it. They were a little skimpy on their serving size. My daughter ordered the spicy noodles, it lack flavor and the meat was very fatty and chewy. Nice place but I won't be coming back.

I used to love this place, and the to go was perfect they way they had it separated with the broth in a great container. But this place has changed quite a bit. Vermicelli had no broth and was sticky dry. Shrimp over cooked and rubbery, looks like they went cheap. I will find a new place, never coming back. Very disappointed
I placed an order where I asked for a substitution. I asked for the price before placing the order. When I went to pick it up, they tried to charge me $7 more than quoted. I asked for a manager and he tried to explain it away. I told him his employeesneed to make sure they are givingaccurate information. He wouldn't honor the price quoted. This is the second time this has happened. I told him to keep the food and left. I will never go there again. It felt like a bait and switch.
We arrived at 6:00 PM. We waited for a long time to have our food brought out. The waitress then came back to say that our food wasn’t available. We waited but decided to leave at 6:45 PM. Avoid. Clearly understaffed and don’t know what they’re doing.
We sat there watching 2 bowls of soup get cold for 15 minutes while waiting for the 3rd person's plate to arrive. Was he supposed to sit there and watch us eat? I can excuse 4 or 5 minutes later, but 15? The owner acted surprised when I said that the food should come out at the same time. He said that I should have told him that we wanted to eat all at the same time. No wonder this place is dead on a Friday night. The waitress was lovely, but the owner has been in business a long time and should know better. Don't waste your hard earned money on this place.
If you go to this place, ask if it is busier than usual and how many cooks are working. When I ordered they said 25 minutes. When I showed up then they decided to let me know they were busy and short staffed. While I was there the lady up front was still telling callers 20 minutes, then those people showed up and she had them sit down and wait too. I ended up waiting another 40 minutes. By that time I had to leave before even getting my food because I had to get back to work. This was my first time there; I wish they would have been up front with me regarding the time. I would have preferred the truth because I would have just clocked out later. So disappointed.
Was in love with the restaurant. Been there many times, but had one bad experience. Ordered a noodle dish with chicken and when it came out the meat had the texture and the taste more of pork than chicken. It was very dried out and very tough. When I complained about it one of the cooks came from the back and wanted to argue with me about to meet. I'm a customer don't argue with me if something's not right take care of it even if it was chicken it was too dry and too old to be served to customers
Why is your restaurant so slow. 1 1/2 hr for lunch plate to go. Then you (Paul) are so rude to customers. Can you please explain?
This place doesn't even deserve the one-star I'm forced to give. I arrived around 6 PM on a Thursday, and the restaurant was about one-third full. No tea and brisket or bun bo hue were available, but I was told they could prepare something similar. I agreed to try it, and we also ordered fried rice, lo mein, and Vietnamese egg rolls. We waited 30 minutes for our appetizer and an additional 30 for our unsatisfactory meals. When the appetizer arrived, it was just two small, skinny rolls. They tasted like old grease and had minimal filling. The fish sauce that was served with them tasted quite old as well. It was very dark and had a white film on top. We ate the rolls because we were starving, but they were not at all enjoyable. My bun bo hue was little more than pho, and it wasn't even good pho. The meat tasted like it had freezer burn, and the meatballs seemed to be spoiled. The broth had an odd flavor; it was dark, murky, and excessively sweet. The lo mein and fried rice were bland, with the only seasoning being an overwhelming amount of salt. If the excessive saltiness didn't make the food inedible, the grease certainly did. We left all the food behind because we feared we might get food poisoning. Food rating: 0/10. During our visit, the service was disappointing. Our waitress, a young girl, appeared to be more focused on her boyfriend at a nearby table than on attending to us. She forgot to bring us water, an extra bowl, and the lettuce that should have accompanied our rolls. Although she checked on us frequently throughout our hour-long wait, she would ask if everything was okay while we sat at our empty table, confused about what we were supposed to be rating or enjoying, as we had no food. Service 2/10 At checkout, we mentioned that the meat in the pho was going bad and that the fried rice and lo mein were overly salty. Her only response was an apology. Do yourself a favor and skip this place.
You will not find authentic Vietnamese food here. They put some sort of Mexican spice in the food. Its orange color. I don't want home cooked tasteless mex food at a Vietnamese restaurant. I'd stay home.

I usually order takeout from here when I’m not feeling well just out of convenience but this is the last time. The food is usually a slightly below average pho experience. Recently for the past few years they just don’t include basil with the Pho which I see as a necessity. It’s also unusually hot inside the place and there’s insect pests like ants about. I wouldn’t actually eat inside and I recommend calling ahead to see if they have basil before ordering Pho from this place.
