Home State in Culver City is a gem! From the cozy atmosphere to the delicious Tex-Mex cuisine, every visit feels like a warm welcome home. The tacos are a must-try, bursting with flavor and authenticity. The staff are always attentive and make dining here a delightful experience. Can't wait to come back for more!

This place is awesome. Great service, great food at a reasonable price. Been here several times for takeout. I’ve tried their chicken, potato and brisket tacos, also their breakfast tacos + potatoes and queso. Brisket and egg + straight brisket for the win. Their queso, chips and salsa also very good. The service here is exceptional, good vibes all around with warm genuine smiles from start to finish. Great portions, they really load up the tacos! I would highly recommend this establishment for anyone looking for a great meal. They will not disappoint.

Fantastic spot -- the tacos are stuffed with ingredients so don't let the 5 or 6 dollar price tag scare you -- I'm a big boy and was full after two. They also have little ketchup bottles with delicious salsa that you can douse on your food until your heart is content. The queso too is incredibly delicious (I could drink it) with plentiful chips. We will be repeat customers and I highly recommend you check it out!

This was our first experience and first visit with HomeState. HomeState NEEDS to come to No. California. UCD (Davis, Calif) would greatly benefit from HomeState!! The server was so sweet and efficient. The food was super good and priced right. The food was delicious. The student and local Davis residents would greatly benefit from a HomeState. Please co super coming to Davis.

i absolutely love the guy jordan here, he’s genuinely so friendly and sweet!! his work is as great as his smile! the food and drinks are pretty good too :)

I love this place… They have the best employees and they’re super fast and the food is always consistently good and my most recent favorite thing is the Frito pie because who doesn’t love a Frito pie? Outstanding always 10 out of 10.

If you decide on grabbing a boozy bev you’re gonna get ya little slushy heart broken cuz the frozen cocktails are a pass. 🙅🏻‍♀️ They gotta be using some super cheap tequila cuz it tastes strongly of the plastic liquor bottles from high school house parties that come with a handle. 🫢 For $21 with tax and tip, the drinks should have a little higher quality ingredients. I was so excited to swing by my local Homestate today to try the new Strawberry Margarita and it looked really tasty coming out of the machine but it tasted really cheap and turned my stomach after a few sips. Hope y’all can fix this cuz it’s really one of my favorite stops for a tasty casual meal at not so casual prices!

I order from here pretty often and their food and service is always great! I will admit, it’s quite pricey for the size of individual tacos, and they look extra small wrapped up in the tin foil. But, the seasoning and freshness of ingredients is great! I guess the price makes sense for the area though. The staff are super friendly and it’s a very cozy atmosphere! I wish they would open it up for doordash pick up (idk why they only offer delivery) since I work in the building and just want to order some for pick up sometimes.

Unfortunately the last two times I've stopped the bacon and potatoes on the taco were both very old and dry as if they had been sitting a long time. I would recommend you check your order before you leave.

I generally love homestate and am happy to see more locations springing up around Los Angeles, but the quality control is not the same at all locations. When I ordered my tacos at this one they came to me essentially cold. The eggs were tepid and the cheese was unmelted. I ate one like this but brought the other one back to the counter and explained the problem. When they brought me a replacement taco a few minutes later it had THE. EXACT. SAME. PROBLEM. Like, really guys? Get it together pls.

I tried a brisket taco, a chicken taco and a “large” margarita ended up just leaving the margarita because I didn’t want to drink it anymore after a few sips. Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else.

I'm not saying it was cold by the time I got home, I'm saying they handed it to me cold. The good news is that Los Angeles has an infinite number of other taco places available. It's a shame that this place has fallen off so hard, bit at least there are plenty of other options.
