My favorite kfc spot in the bay! The Honey Garlic wings are must! Great blend of sweet and savory that is just so satisfying with the crispy skin of this chicken! I also enjoy getting their Rose Tteok-bokki. The rose does not add as much of a floral taste as you would think, its very light and pleasant. This very creamy dish is a comforting side dish that complement that salty flavor from the wings. The wing sizes are decently big so I think the small (8pc) is good to share with 2 people but if you are hungrier def go for the medium. I always order online to takeout and it is always a seamless process. When I pickup my order the servers are always so kind and provide complimentary gloves for us to dig into our food :)

The hot spicy chicken was awesome. I had bb.q. chicken in Dusseldorf also, and I was very surprised to see it in Santa Clara. It's amazing. Edit: I ordered again, and I got the secret spicy whole chicken. It was also amazing

Best fried chicken in the area!!! I used to go to bbq in LA (in Westwood) all the time when I lived in LA. When I moved to the bay 3 years ago, I was so sad that there wasn't bbq in the bay. Yesterday I was on Instagram and their ad popped up. So I went ahead and ordered a take out from them today. I ordered boneless secret spicy, honey garlic wings and rose ddeokboki. The chicken is crispy outside and moist inside (겉바속촉). The sauces taste perfect. Exactly what I expected/wanted. The rose ddeokboki is so delicious. I've always wanted to try it as it’s been a new thing in Korea. Though I don't know what it's supposed to taste like, bbq's rose is super delicious. I immediately fell in love with it!!! From now on, I'm only going to order korean fried chicken from bbq. Thank you for opening one in the bay!!! 🙏🏼

It's our first ordering from this place but we really enjoyed it! This was for pick-up so we didnt experience dining in. We got the 8pc. Golden Orginal, and it was so juicy and flavorful! Each piece was perfectly seasoned and it so delicious! Will definitely order again!

Best Korean fried chicken I've ever had! I got the boneless secret spicy chicken. I always love the sweet and spicy flavor option at KFC places, and the secret spicy sauce definitely met my expectations. The chicken was probably the most tender of any KFC place that I've had. If I had to describe this place compared to other KFC places, I'd say it combines the thin coating, crispiness, and large chicken pieces of Bonchon KFC with the moist chicken and slightly more wet sauce of Left Wing KFC. I also tried the rose tteokbokki with cheese added, which was delicious as well. The sauce was really unique and not too creamy and also not too spicy. My only complaint about the tteokbokki was the lack of fish cakes. The rice cakes were plentiful but it definitely could have used some more fish cakes. However both the rice cakes and fish cakes were cooked to a perfect texture.

I recently picked up some chicken, and it was an absolutely amazing experience. The flavor was incredible—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Each bite was perfectly seasoned, with just the right amount of spice. The service was quick and efficient, making the whole process hassle-free. The staff were friendly and welcoming, adding to the great atmosphere. I will definitely be returning soon, as this was one of the best chicken meals I’ve had in a while. Highly recommended for anyone craving delicious, quality chicken!

Great food, friendly service, and good seating. We had some drumsticks and boneless wings and they were delicious. I see that most of the negative reviews here are in regards to the long wait. They seem to have addressed this by having a wait time display at the order kiosk, which was very accurate for us. It can also help you know that you will actually have to wait sometimes if the traffic is busy. I like their receptiveness to people’s feedback here.

The food arrived fast. We arrived before noon, so there was plenty of seating. It was easy to order from a screen at the table. The portion size was as expected.

The crispy chicken was perfectly fried with juicy meat inside, and the kimchi fried rice had great taste and spice balance. Presentation was also really nice. Service was friendly and food came on time. Clean seating area and good atmosphere to enjoy Korean style fried chicken. Definitely recommend this place if you’re craving good Korean fried chicken and rice dishes! Will visit again 👍

Chicken Cheese Balls: First of all, they were way too salty — overwhelmingly salty. Also, the meat flavor was a bit confusing; I couldn’t tell if it was chicken or some kind of beef. Lastly, there was very little cheese inside. The chicken cheese ball were 10 pieces, my husband tried one, and I forced myself to eat three more because I didn’t want to waste them, but the rest will probably end up in the trash. I truly hope this menu item can be improved and made delicious in the future.

We did a pick-up order at bb.q chicken Apple Park today but decided to just eat it at the restaurant instead because we were so hungry. The person who was in charge of the cashier graciously offered us cups of water and service even if we had a take-out order. This location has always been amazing and the chicken itself (spicy original is our usual order) has been consistent throughout the 5+ years we've been coming here!

I hope that this review gets recognized by the individual and by others, such as the customers. The gentleman working on Christmas night around 8 PM was fantastic and very hard-working. It seems like a lot of places were closed during Christmas as usual and this restaurant was getting a lot of requests all at once And the individual did a great job attending to everybody’s needs while being composed and professional and sweet. The fries were great, the pickled radishes too. I preferred the secret sauce chicken, the Mrs preferred the original. The bits and pieces of chicken are real varied, you're not getting just wings. I think I'll have to order a more intense sauce next time.

First time trying this place. We ordered the soy garlic wings, honey garlic wings, rosé ddeok-bokki with cheese. Everything tasted great. This place is pretty casual, you set your own table and get your own food when name is called. It’s packaged up to-go style even if you’re eating there. I went at 5:00pm on a Saturday and service was a bit slow. Took about 40 minutes for our order and other patrons were also getting restless waiting for their orders before we even got there. This was the only downside. We found out about this place from a Bay Area Foodies video, however, they went to the Sunnyvale location so maybe we will try that one next time.

We got the whole chicken half & half with Secret Sauce and half with Soy Garlic. The portions were generous and the chicken quality was excellent (soft inside, crunchy outside, cooked perfectly). The Soy Garlic sauce was the best. The Secret Sauce (described by the cashier as yamyung sauce) was too sweet and had a strong orange flavor - not the traditional Korean flavor I enjoy every time in in Seoul. But the chicken itself was so good, we plan to try this place again. Still, I recommend you get the coleslaw to offset the oil and salt you get with any KFC. The atmosphere is a little off putting: the blaring K-Pop, the dim lighting, the TV's mounted on the wrong wall, the self-service, and the wait time for the food. But these are all fixable, so hopefully things will improve at this relative newcomer in the southbay KFC scene.

I have tried BBQ Chicken locations in Southern California and they were mediocre, but this Apple Park location exceeded my expectations! The chicken is incredibly juicy here! Very tender and crunchy on the outside. I ordered the Half & Half Whole Chicken for my boyfriend and I to share. It came with about 20 pieces for $32.99. A bit pricey. 10 secret spicy, and 10 golden original crispy. The secret spicy was very saucy, packed with garlic flavor, and had a nice sweetness to it. Not too spicy! The golden original was SO GOOD. A nice crunch and a light oil flavor. Very satisfying and tender. They also provide gloves for eating the chicken, which is very helpful. I'm docking off a star from my rating though because I did find two small black hairs on our chicken pieces.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. It wasn't crowded because it was 2 PM. I've heard of this brand before in Vegas, so I was glad they have a location in Norcal. Cleanliness was okay. The service is very friendly. The employees seemed like they were all friends from school. They also had other friends come in to hang out with them. We got an order of original flavor wings and also a hot spicy wings. for the price, I think it leans on the higher side. It's not as big as Bonchon or other chicken places. I was surprised at how spicy the hot spicy was! For a spice lover like me, it was perfect. The radishes were refreshing to accompany the spicy wings. However, if you're a mild spice eater, it might be too spicy for you. It makes me wonder how spicy the spiciest wings on their menu is! I'd love to come back to try the other flavors, but I wish we were able to do combos with other flavors besides the original and hot spicy. It's like 10 pieces of wings for a medium, so you can't mix and match or order a lot. I also wish the prices were displayed for the drinks.

It beats even the Korean fried chicken of Korean restaurants outside of Korea. It is that good.The only thing if I had to nitpick is the size of the chicken drumsticks in Seoul are bigger and a complementary coke/sprite is usually included with the order in Korea. I did only eat it on this last Sunday for the 1st time here in the Apple Park location. We kind of stumbled upon it accidentally whilst looking for a place for lunch when most restaurants in the area were taking a mid day break. Sure glad I found this place. Don’t think there is going to be any other place that would be better than this place around the area for now. If you are looking for authentic Korean fried chicken, this is it. But don’t expect any type of service. It is more like a fast food place vs a restaurant setup. For me, the focus is the 치킨🍗

Although the food is a little pricey, the chicken was well seasoned, had a good crunch, tasted moist, and came in medium sized pieces. What I ordered was the 10 piece Boneless Chicken in the Secret Spicy Sauce.What I liked about this chicken was that it stayed pretty crunchy despite being covered in sauce and was only slightly spicy. The sauce was also sweet. You taste the sweetness first then the spicy. The spiciness kind of stays with you but it's less than a mild spice so you can still eat comfortably. Overall, the chicken was good and I want to try something different next time!

Got their small spicy kalbi boneless chicken wings, and it was enough for two people. Really big wings. Unfortunately, you can only pick one flavor. It took about 25 minutes to prepare. Overall, it's decent. One of our orders got mixed up, and instead of boneless, we got boned in (no big deal).

The chicken is delicious as usual, however the underneath paper with white/red checks has a strong odor which smells like toxic. I don't remember there was such a paper in my previous orders. Wonder if you can remove/replace the paper? Thank you so much

The flavor reminded me of the chicken I used to have in Korea, which was nice. The staff were very friendly, which I appreciated. That said, the chicken I got today had very little meat, and the pieces were much smaller than what I saw in the review photos. It felt like I was mostly eating skin and bones. Not sure if it was over-fried or if the chicken itself was just very small. Hopefully this can be improved.

This place is always super busy with online orders; specifically during weekends or special occasion days. Preordered chicken here like 30 mins before I got there and still had to wait another extra 20 mins when i got there despite it saying almost ready. If known it would’ve tooken an extra 20 mins I would’ve ran some other errands in the meantime. Totally understand they were busy and possibility understaffed, but they need a more accurate and more efficient system running the online orders pickups, because the restaurant is 100% empty for dine ins and like 100% people standing around waiting for online orders.😭

The flavor reminded me of the chicken I used to have in Korea, which was nice. The staff were very friendly, which I appreciated. That said, the chicken I got today had very little meat, and the pieces were much smaller than what I saw in the review photos. It felt like I was mostly eating skin and bones. Not sure if it was over-fried or if the chicken itself was just very small. Hopefully this can be improved.

Update: couldn’t see my review for some reason, so here’s the repost. ============ 2 stars for the coleslaw. EXTREMELY OVERPRICED. Taste NOTHING MORE THAN AVERAGE, the chicken doesn’t taste like chicken or marinate but something else. The special sauce contains a really wired sour flavor in it. The wait time is way longer compare to other k chicken restaurants. Disappointed and won’t come again for sure.

Probably the worst bbq chicken ive ever been to in terms of taste. Ive been to over 20 locations including those in korea. Pro: food was on time. Ordered online and food was ready by pick up time and order was correctly fulfilled Con: there was barely any sauce on my chicken. Probably used a tablespoon of sauce for the whole chicken bc there were more surfaces without sauce than with sauce. Chicken was also overcooked and dry. Will not be back. I would rather drive more for the Sunnyvale location

We came here last night for the first time and it was a total disaster. As soon as we walked in to sit at the table, the cashier told us that it was late and if we wanted to order we could do only to go because they were about to close at 9pm and it was 8:30-8:35pm. We had my young kids and wanted to enjoy our meal but we just ordered to go. We checked out the menu and ordered but while we were waiting my youngest baby went up to the door to touch it for a second since he’s a baby and curious. No harm done nothing happened when the same cashier told us to “Take care of our kids!” In a harsh and disgusted tone. So my boyfriend and I both snapped and told her first the thing about not letting us eat when they clearly close at 9pm. They could have still taken our order and let us eat. We wouldn’t have taken long and then her tone and attitude towards us. We had an argument with her and then some others customers that were in a table next to us even mentioned that she was very rude to them as well and they saw my baby was not doing anything wrong. I also heard when that same customer asked for some hot sauce for her wings and the cashier rudely yelled “Pay at the front”.! We all felt completely unwelcome, discriminated and rushed. She said her name is Jamie but I have a picture of the receipt of her real name in the pictures. Horrible customer service and it’s a shame because we really wanted to like this place.
