Been coming here for a long time but finally decided to leave a review. This place is absolutely fantastic and if you're in the area do not miss it. Fantastic food all across the menu, never misses, and the service is fantastic. Staff is incredibly friendly and greets me everytime I walk through the door. The portion sizes are also fantastic for the price ratio. If you're looking for homely feel of an Italian resteraunt this is your place, makes me feel like I'm back in my hometown in New Jersey.

We have ordered take out from Grato multiple times, and decided to try dine in. The inside was cozy, the staff were nice, and the food was AMAZING. Everything was super fresh and cooked perfectly, and even though we were full we ordered dessert. The Creme Brulee was the best. It's hard to find a true family owned restaurant (not a commercial chain) but Grato is definitely it! Highly recommend!

Grato Italian Restaurant is a true gem! Authentic Italian cuisine, owned and operated by a wonderful family, and it shows in every bite. The quality is top-notch, the service is stellar, and the prices are more than fair for the generous portions. On our most recent visit, we enjoyed chicken Parmigiano, chicken Florentine, fried calamari, garlic knots, Caesar and house salads, cheesecake, cannoli, and a macchiato — everything was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. If you’re looking for genuine Italian food with a warm, welcoming atmosphere, Grato is the place to be!

Being from CT originally, we were looking for exceptional Italian food and we found it here. This family owned restaurant had friendly service and excellent food. The rolls that came out first were incredible and the crème brûlée that ended our meal was absolutely delicious. And, in between, it was hard to choose from a good sized menu and our entrees were really, really good! There are several other things I want to try. We live 18 miles away and happened to be in the neighborhood and will make a special trip just to eat here again. Give this place a try! You won’t be disappointed.

Great Family owned spot in the area that’s perfect for a date night or family dinner. The staff is friendly and welcoming and the restaurant is clean throughout. The authentic aura of the location help really bring together there true roots menu offerings. With variety in menu options throughout the year and Classics that anyone can enjoy, this location has a lot to offer for someone trying to look for something local but not worry about food quality. My personal Favorite is the Pepperoni Pizza or the tortellini Alfredo while my daughter is a big fan of the Kids Spaghetti and meatballs *Always with an extra Meatball or Two* and I can’t forget about the Cheesecake when I want to treat myself. All and All, Great Local restaurant to dine in or take out. It’s the type of restaurant you’ll give a chance one time, then always find yourself going back for more.

Me and my sister went for late lunch/ early dinner today and we for their pizza for the first time and it was delicous, we always get pasta and have loved all that we have tried and thei pizza was just as good, and of course we cant leave without creme brulee its literally heaven earth, canto find and better!! love love love Grato

The food is so good, I got the chicken parm from the lunch menu, it was a very generous portion. Came with a salad and a hot fresh garlic knot that was yummy, crisp and flaky on the outside and soft in the middle. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.

A small strip mall Italian restaurant with s strong personality. No table cloth establishment , boring decor, slow but steady service but with food cooked to perfection. It’s been a while since I had such good Italian cuisine dishes. We were a party of 7 and everyone at the table ordered something different. Not one negative comment. The food is impeccable at very affordable prices. The deserts are simply divine. Tiramisu is melting in your mouth. Simply delicious!!! Highly recommended and definitely will return.

Stopped by for the first time Friday night for dinner with husband and kids and was pretty impressed with this place. Nice atmosphere, very warm and lighting is perfect for cozy vibes. I had lasagna, tasted very fresh as noodles weren't hard from overheating/cooking. Husband had Alfredo pasta, and sauce was nice and creamy, not watered down, and enough garlic was not overpowering. My boys shared a baked ziti, which they loved and was enough for two good portions sizes. All entrees came with a side salad, a great portion with fresh greens and tasty dressing. Their bread rolls are amazing!! Our server was attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back.

Came looking for a local owner place and this didn’t disappoint. Food is absolutely delicious, the pasta Trio was just perfect, the chicken piccata remind me of Rome and the desserts were delicious! Our server was Rigers and he gave us the best recommendations! A perfect place if you are looking for good quality food at better prices! Will come back for sure!

First time at GRATO down the street from home. Very small restaurant. Food 🥘 tastes ok. Marinara?sauce on spaghetti & meatballs is a bit different. Might be slightly acidic. Needs to be thicker and richer. I was going somewhere else but it got dark outside, so I just went down Fry Rd a bit. Across town is a better place for this dish. Portions are a bit skimpy. SMALL Salad needs a couple of cucumber slices, and maybe some black olive? Service is excellent. Garlic bread rolls are delicious. Will probably come back when I don’t want to drive far and fight traffic.

I came try this place for the first time with my girlfriend, and I enjoyed it. The food was nice, the service was very hospitable, and the atmosphere was nice. I enjoyed the food, the options were great, and the host was very helpful. Me and my girlfriend got both of our pizzas small after not being able to get it half and half, and the host only charged for one large pizza, the toasted ravioli was tasty, and the ingredients and warmth were delectable. I will definitely return and try more. Great job!

Shining Star

The reviews are great which is why we came. Unfortunately the food was mediocre…..baked ziti was just pasta, sauce and cheese with no meat whatsoever for $15. My eggplant parmigiana was completely mushy 🫠. The peach bellini was all artificial ingredients with not a speck of peach anywhere in the drink. For appetizers we had the caprese salad, which was great. We also had stuffed mushrooms and it was just mushrooms and cheese….nothing stuffed about them 🙃
