Best Chinese food in downtown Dallas. I always get sesame chicken with a side of steamed broccoli. Fast, fresh, and delicious.
Consistently fresh/delicious food with fast & friendly service at lunch.
I love chef wangs. I eat there every week.
0ver 24years eating at this place. Fast and friendly service! Delicious, hot, filling food! Love Chef Wang!
I truly enjoyed this restaurant, the food is outstanding, as well as the brooms were not bad. It was a little chilly inside, so yeah, it was not the very best. The atmosphere is great. I will certainly consider returning again if I have the opportunity. Me and my good friend bought the pizza and we were not dissatisfied. My one suggestion is to keep the chilly exterior. Till next time!
Love this place. The food is fast and delicious. The staff are very friendly and gracious. The lady who runs the counter is most hospitable and I wish they were open on the weekends sometimes. The flavor of the food and the fast service are immaculate. I just want to say thank you to the staff for all the delicious meals I’ve had at this establishment.
I love this place! The food is so fresh and absolutely delicious! I was ordering the broccoli beef and the owner noticed I wasn't eating the broccoli. (I don't like broccoli, but I love the sauce on that dish.) She suggested the pepper beef, and I get it every time I go now! I highly recommend this place!
I have embarked on a quest to find the finest Lomein in Texas, and it has led me to this very place. Nestled within the tunnels, there lies a charming Chinese restaurant that offers a captivating view of the hotel and pavilion building
When me and my dad come to Dallas we make sure to make a stop at Chef Wangs. Everything we have got here is super good. Highly recommend the orange and Szechuan chicken.
The food is absolutely awesome and I prices are great. Great place to stop for a very quick meal on the go.
The food is delicious and the owners are nice. I love coming to this restaurant
This place is so legit for lunch. Wow great prices, fast service, and absolutely f'ing delicious. Will be coming at least once a week.
I've been dining at Chef Wang for nearly 20 years and I don't think I'll ever get tired of their sesame chicken. This place is a downtown Dallas institution!
My son’s comment was, “oh wow, it literally looks exactly like the picture!” It was delicious.
First time here and I was pleasantly surprised. Very clean, friendly service, good flavor. A little hard to find but glad I stuck with it.
Simply delicious, hot, and fresh Asian food. $13 fully loaded and filling plates. Work week favorite spots. Thanks Chef Wang!!
Stopped by 09.14.2022. Orange chicken was perfect fresh tender hot fresh rice and as always service with a smile. Cannot beat cooked to order. 🔥 fresh and clean nice environment
The best Chinese chicken fried rice. The owner lady and her son are super kind. Service is faster as well. Definitely 10/10
I walked past and gave it a try. The food is great, delivered in a reasonable fast time. It was served with the right amount of spice. Pricing is good and reasonable. Serving is just the right amount for a college student looking to shove delicious food down.

You'll be surprised by how good it is. Big portions and great prices!
Best takeout restaurant in downtown that is actually affordable.
Very clean and the food is yummy! I just wished they would extend their menu, I’m sure they have some family recipes they could share! Price points in Good!
It’s like Heaven on Earth. Greatest Chinese food within 300 miles.
I have been going here for many years. I have watched the owners kids grow up. I tried many things on the menu everything is delicious. They never disappoint.
I knew from the decorations and fish tank that this place was gonna be delicious, and it was 🙏🏻 the service was really great and the food was so scrumpdidilyumptious
Great food, service, and atmosphere! It’s next to a small garden plaza, slightly tucked away. Very clean with friendly employees, it serves as a quiet oasis despite being right next to one of the busiest areas of Dallas. The employees recognize regulars and have many repeat customers. It was my first time visiting but I’ll definitely be back and have already told people about it!
It’s a little hard to find, but this whole underground area is quite nostalgic and the restaurant itself has a cool old-school aura to it. The orange chicken was great and the person who took my order was very kind. Everyone who comes here seems to come here all the time. To get to this place you have to enter One Main Place, go a floor down, exit out the “plaza level,” and go around a couple corners. It might take some searching around.

I guess I dined there at the right time...Good food at reasonable prices and as a bonus, not surrounded by cell phone zombies.
Food is okay, location is on the underground, need to enemter from the building next to it where there is a westin and go down 1 level
Seriously delicious. Try the orange chicken, shredded pork with peppers and Greens with garlic. Wonderful service, clean flavors. I would go back in a heartbeat.
I always order Broccoli Beef with yellow onions, this is the best Chinese food, I wish they would branch outside if the Renaissance tower, not able to order after hours
Started my search for the best Lomein in Texas and it has brought me here. Small Chinese restaurant inside the tunnels with a view of the hotel and pavilion building. Ordered a Orange Chicken with fried rice and vegetable lomein... I was questioned why I wanted to order both..? (" Ordered the orange chicken Incase the lomein was un-edible. ") Well here's the verdict. The lomein is pretty good. It's not the best, but compared to others in walking distance it's actually pretty good. The orange chicken is really good, not so much as sweet but has a pretty good spice level to it. White meat chicken and not overly crispy. The fried rice was a disappointment, you can't even call it fried rice. it was more or less just a cooked brown ish rice. The egg roll is also just okay and not great.
Came with my coworker at his recommendation, and was pleasantly surprised! Super fresh, and piping hot. Had the sesame chicken and he had the lomein which looked super good too. I’ll try that next time.
The food is great. That paired with the environment and the cleanliness makes it a great place to go for lunch.

On lower level below Street grade. Access is from Bank of America or from One Main Place. Typical Asian stir fry, good variety, tasteful, cooked on the spot. Gets very busy around lunch time. Either just before or a bit after 12 noon beats the rush. Please give this review a thumbs up if you find it informative!
Chef Wangs was a little bit hard to find for me. It wasn't at all what I expected when I did locate it, but my imagination is typically way better than real life anyways. The food was pretty "run-of-the-mill" for Chinese food. The store was very clean, which is always a good sign.
Went during lunch, the wait wasn’t bad for the amount of people waiting in line. Ordered the orange chicken which was pretty good.
The feeling that the lady at the font may be low key racist is so strong ... I've come here over 3 times and wasn't greeted in a friendly manner like another race that was standing behind me or wasn't greeted at all.. just asked what do you want? no smile or nothing... I didn't like the energy I received at all... Needless to say I won't be back...
As a Chinese-American, when I saw the word “Szechuan” written on the window of the restaurant, I was hoping for authentic Sichuan dishes (spicy boiled fish, dan dan noodles, etc.). That’s why I was disappointed when I walked in and saw a list of non-authentic Chinese dishes on the menu. Mongolian Beef — the taste was decent, but very salty and oily. Lo Mein — mediocre. It was salty but flavorless, if that makes sense. Also they used the wrong type of noodle. Kung Pao Chicken — not very good. Even the version from Panda Express tastes better. The “fried rice”that came with the lunch special was nothing other than rice stir fried with soy sauce, no toppings or anything. Overall, this was a disappointing restaurant and I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Ordered Mongolian beef, received probably a small onion and pieces of beef. Flavor is great, just ratio is off. Fried rice lacks egg or veggies... probably should've ordered beef fried rice instead.
A little out-of-the-way place that wasn't worth the effort of finding. This less than basic Chinese restaurant doesn't even give you fortune cookies with your order! Chef Wang wasn't bad but more generic than I expected and there's a another Chinese restaurant just a few feet away and easier to get to. Is there food better than the competitors probably not and don't care to find a reason to give Chef Wang a higher rating.

Just went here for lunch. An acquaintance said it was delicious. What a disappointment. Got the chicken lo mein. The noodles had no flavor at all. The chicken tasted funny and the “brown sauce” it came with had a taste like it had sat in the fridge for ever. Sitting here feeling like I wanna throw up now and telling myself I should just trust my gut feeling next time. Paid almost $15 for a combo and a drink that was not worth it in the least. I would not recommend this place at all.
Ordered Wangs Beef which should have been Wangs vegetables as there was only a few small pieces of beef. I almost fell out of my chair when I opened the box. It was $11.97 for bunch of veggies. Also the dish was not very tasty but bitter with no flavor even with a bunch of soy sauce.. I ate the few pueces of meat threw the rest away and went back out to find something to eat as i was still hungry as the few small pieces of meat didnt even register as a partial meal. Will NEVER go back. I think they hv a new chef cuz their food used to be better. My friend she went with me had same problem. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
Never got to try the food. They don’t have a valid website to view the menu and google says they close at 530. I called close to 3 to ask where they were located because it appears they’re inside of another building and would order inside. I arrived in front of the building at 3:10 pm and called again for instructions. This is when the lady tells me they were closed and close at 3pm everyday. I get that google may not have had their hours right. This may or may not be the restaurant fault BUT if it’s close to 3…your closing time when I called to inform I would be coming in to order why would you not mention your closing time ?!
The food was tasty (minus the bland fried rice) but I question the food safety practices. During my first visit, I found a piece of hair & a separate piece of lint in my food. When I was refilling my cup before I left, I saw a worker (young woman with long hair) sitting in between part of the dining area and the employees only area, getting her hair done by another worker. She was sitting in the chair with what looked like an apron or large napkin over her front and the other worker was cleaning or styling her hair. I couldn't believe what I was seeing; I wish I'd gotten a picture. If this is what goes on in front of customers, I can only imagine what doesn't. It was completely unhygienic and I can't imagine that it's not a health code violation. I was hoping to find a nice Chinese lunch spot for work but I won't be back.
I order Kau Pan Shrimp I got chicken instead The rice is just brown no stir fry no eggs or vegetables The food was horrible like it was old and warm up. Will never go back
