Taco City x Chef Tastebudz

I ordered the Birria Pizza and the beef taco plate and both were amazing! The Birria Pizza was packed with flavor and came with three different sauces, all of them delicious. One of the sauces had a refreshing cucumber hint with just the right amount of spice, which really took it to the next level. The limes were fresh too, not dry like at some places. I also grabbed a lemonade from the outdoor Lazer Nade stand and it was super refreshing, the perfect combo to go with the meal. Great food, great drinks, and the whole vibe was on point. Definitely coming back!

This was my husband and I first time visiting. It was a little chilly outside. However, it didn't stop the owners (of both businesses) and employees from personally greeting each and every one of us, and I was very impressed. It didn't take long at all, for us to order and get our food we ordered a pizza and tacos. While we waited on our food, we visited the gentleman's booth and got freshly squeezed lemonade drinks flavored with passion fruit and watermelon, and I added cucumber to mine for a little razzle dazzle lol. They are big drinks, they're refreshing and absolutely delicious. Now, back to the food lol the tacos were good, as expected. I never had a Birria Pizza before, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. It was sooooo freaking delicious. The meat chicken and beef were seasoned, and each layer was topped with some goodness. We will definitely be going back and trying something else from the menu. I highly recommend that you give them a try.

Chef Tastebudz is located on the corner of Jackson and Record street on the West side of Downtown Dallas just South of the West End district. The location is easy to access in an area with less traffic than most of the other areas of downtown. Ordering is easy with a sidewalk sign, menu at the ordering counter and friendly staff willing to offer suggestions. Seating is limited with a 4 chair bar. I am a fan of Birria tacos so that was my order for this visit. Birria tacos- crispy corn tortilla with plenty of beef birria meat and cheese with fresh chopped white onion a lime slice and cilantro on the side with salsa and beef consommé. The spices were great, the meat was soft and flavorful and the cheese was perfectly melted. Birria and chicken quesadilla- crispy flour tortillas stacked with meat, cheese, onion and cilantro inside with like slices and beef consommé on the side. Literally this is one of those hole in the wall gems. My wife and son ate here and it was some of the best food we’ve had. Chef_tastebudz don’t play either he makes sure them tacos were packed with great tasting seasoned meat and chicken. We had the lunch special and even took a Birria pizza to go. Definitely will be back soon. If you’re a foodie and wanna take some great pictures as well the atmosphere and food are great.

This place is AMAZING. I was coming out of the courthouse and was starving. I looked over and was like, "Am I really in the mood to try a new place?" And as you can see, I did! They have this crazy pizza looking thing and burritos on steroids. I ordered two tacos thinking I was going a little conservative, but conservative is the wrong word. They were amazingly delicious and would recommend them to anyone who is in the area to try them. This is a must try in downtown!!!

We found this place randomly being out in downtown. The service was great. The lady taking our order was so friendly and good vibes and the chef(owner) was very welcoming. The food was so good, has very good flavor! Definitely recommend!

This tiny little Taco joint was right outside my hotel and wow! They serve up some amazing tacos. I had the loaded taco plate and the flavors were awesome. The beef, the chicken, and the cheese all come together with the perfect blend of seasoning and spice. Crispy outside, tender inside, simply delicious. Great service, very friendly and you can tell they love what they do. Definitely worth checking out, no disappointments here.

We stopped by at 9pm. It took a little longer than I thought it would, but it was worth the wait. I got 2 orders of the loaded taco plate. The outside of the taco was perfectly caramelized with the cheese the meat was so juicy and just a touch spicy. I added extra spice… It could have been spicier. But the flavor is some of the best I have had since being back in Texas. Seating is 4 seats inside and standing room at the outside window counter.

I found this place just down the street from my Apartment in downtown Dallas. I didn't know what to expect, but they definitely didn't let me down. Service was super nice And welcoming. The tacos were awesome, birria sauce was really good, and the avocado salsa was on point. I would definitely suggest this place and will try it again. 10/10

I stopped by on a whim when walking past and so glad I did! I didn’t know what to order but the person at the counter was help full in describing the menu and even told me about some additional ‘specials’ that were not in the menu. Lots of original items and I chose the beef ramen burrito. It was fantastic! I will definitely return to try something new!

My friends and I are in town from Orlando and from the moment I walked up to this taco stand I knew we had struck gold. The food was delicious, portions were more than fair and set at a great price. (We had their lunch combos) The clerk at the register and the chef (assumed owner as well) were both incredibly kind and personable, I’d come back just to chop it up with chef even if the food had not been that good… HOWEVER much like the service, it was incredible! 10/10 we will be back before flying home. In town for a concert and stayed at a nearby hotel. We were all so hungry once the concert let out late night. Googled food near me, and several places are opened late night in the area, but this one had the best reviews. A bit tricky to find as Google sent us to the club - it is directly behind the club in the same building! Super friendly owner and staff. Amazing birria tacos and quesadillas. We had both chicken and beef as well as the mix of chicken and beef! Can't wait to visit again!

This place is fire! The Quesabirria and chicken birria tacos were sooo good - do not sleep on that salsa and consommé. Food was absolutely great, but the vibe from the staff and the chef himself was the best part. These people know how to cook and will treat you like old friends. Special shout out to Lazernade cause that was the cherry on top.
