I was extremely impressed with how they have reacted toward the pandemic. I attended the bar last night and they took every precaution to sanitize and social distance patrons. I was very hesitant about going anywhere, but I never felt uncomfortable. Even the bar capacity was controlled perfectly. The bar had plexiglass and all of the workers were wearing proper PPE. Way to go Woodys!

I've patronized this bar since the location was Moby Dick's. Great video bar. I like the sports bar atmosphere and have always liked the layout of the place. Great patio areas both upstairs and down.

So far my favorite bar in the gayborhood. I love the friendly bartenders, great music and overall atmosphere. I was there one Thursday night when they have performances and I got to see Jada Fox, who is fabulous. Always a great time at Woody's!

Great atmosphere, good people, and the best convos take place on the patio!!! Strong drinks are at the downstairs bar!!! Gay, straight, or in between guarantee you'll have a fun time!

I visited this bar during WrestleMania weekend. For starters, gay sports bars like Woody's hold a special place in my heart. Not only was this a fun bar but I loved the outside patio area upstairs and the staff here were beyond friendly!

Fun bar with sports on the TV and a casual but high energy vibe. They have a small patio out front, an upstairs deck and a large deck out back. The bartenders really make this place great. Their friendly, quick with drinks and just overall created a fun atmosphere. Prices are also good here.

I would not recommend coming here unless you’re me. One of the bartenders calls me Hiroshima because he thinks I’m the bomb! 💣

I was just there on a Sunday afternoon , just arrived, visiting from France for two months. I came with my assistance dog (but forgot her proper harness and assistance dog tags back at my Airbnb). Nevertheless, the guy at the door, super welcoming, was super nice to let us both in. Of course my dog is trained to be well behaved and ultra clean at all times in public, and she does look after me - she’s a medical alert dog. Some of us have occasional health problems and this type of dog can save your life…It was great to be able to get in there with her, much less stressful for me, and everyone said hello, super welcome…. There was great atmosphere everywhere, but for some reason a dog just lights the place up even more… just magic… :) Great ambiance everywhere, super nice people and great bartender, lovely drinks

Another Ace gaybar in Dallas. What treat it was to go here. It's filled with sweet people who treated us like family from the get-go. Pool table, very clean and well decorated. Drinks were refreshing and inexpensive. The barkeep was particularly kind and handsome. At all costs go here!

Thank you Stu for rescuing us from the heat! Flew into town early for the flight attendant graduation at Southwest Airlines training facility and had several hours to kill. It was so hot! Stu let us crash without complaint, only ordering water and sprite ... Didn't even charge us for the drinks! This seems like a very friendly place with locals hanging out. Nice atmosphere and obviously amazing staff. Thank you for making our experience comfortable and fun!

This is lovely place to hang out in the community. They encourage you to bring in food if you're hungry and they have excellent prices for beers and cocktails. The atmosphere is friendly laid back and just pleasant.

Chill vibe. Nice balcony.

Its closed right now due to covid restrictions. Its one of my friends favorite places so its really the only reason I ever went. Just not my style but well worth a visit when they do reopen. Patio out front is nice at night to people watch. They also have a covered patio in the back upstairs.

Nice place with two bars and terraces and outdoor balconies style "New Orleans". The staff is nice but it is sorely lacking atmosphere. It's a shame, I think there's a real potential here

Brian is the best, and you can have any food you want delivered while you watch the game on their multiple TVs upstairs and downstairs, even outside for you smokers. Best Gay Sports Bar in Dallas.

Strong drinks on the cheap. They have several spaces in a large building along with a nice, large covered patio. If you are visiting the various gay bars in Dallas than Woody's is a must-see. The bartenders were all friendly and accommodating. The strong cocktails make this a great place to start your evening.

Fun gay sports bar. The bartenders are nice. Great place to watch whatever sports fame is going on. This is my usual spot for watching the Thanksgiving day UT game with friends. They have weekly events like drag shows and karaoke.

It was a nice vibe. Me my boyfriend and my friend and her husband went. Super welcoming, the bouncers were nice they were dancing with us as we came in the bar. Music was good, it was all the latest hip hop, r&b, and pop. They made the best drinks my fave sex on the beach. Great experience, will go again! I love how there was videos with every song.

Great local environment in the gayborhood.

Compared to other gay bars on the strip, this one does not have much diversity (coming from a POC). It is very common for you to be the only black or brown man in here. If that doesnt bother you make sure to stop by; the music taste is calmer and not too loud.

Came here with my sister on the night of the Halloween block party. Liked the environment and the people, seemed really fun up until we tried to get a couple of beers from the bartender. We were literally waiting 30 mins to order 2 beers. Now I can understand it's packed, so I get that. What I didn't understand was how the bartender seen us waiting there for 30 mins but decides to serve the guy next to us that only waited for 2 mins. When I tried to let him know that we were there before him, he threatens to not serve us at all. Wow! Lol funny thing is my sister called it. She knew he was going to serve him before us!

In Dallas for a short vacation, this review is about my interaction with a bartender named Brian. I don't know why the difference in charges and pouring for visitors vs locals, but overcharging $3 for every drink is outrageous. I'll come back again because I like the vibe, but will not go to that bartender again!

I walk into your bar, see at least 5 or 6 TVs and all are showing the NY/DAL game. To top it off, there were only about 5 people in the bar. After standing at the bar a couple minutes waiting for a bartender to ask what I wanted, I finally flagged down on and asked if they only show the same game on all the TVs. His reply, “Yeah. For the Cowboys.” No offer to switch a TV. No question about whether or not wanted a drink. 1. Today’s Cowboys’ game is between two teams already eliminated from playoffs. 2. Not everyone in the metroplex is a Cowboys fan. 3. You call yourself a “sports bar” and advertise a “mix of sports”. Where was today’s mix? 4. What kind of bar, especially a sports bar, lets someone stand at the bar and the bartender not even ask about drinks? Disappointed in my poor experience at Woody’s, I went to Hidden Door. Walking throughout the bar, I noticed all their TVs were also showing the Cowboys game. BUT, here’s the difference. First, the one bartender who wasn’t busy saw me walk up to the bar and was ready to take my order. I was greeted with a welcoming smile as if to say we’re glad you’re here. I asked the bartender if they only show the same game on all the TVs. Speaking honestly he said, “What other games are there. I really don’t know.” I told him I was interested in watching the Texans game. Without hesitation, he told another bartender of my request. That bartender simply switched the channel on the outside TV to show the Texans game. There are 5x as many patrons at Hidden Door on the patio where the outside TV is than at Woody’s at the writing of this review. Not a single person protested when the game switched to the Texans. Woody’s take note. Hidden Door acts more like a sports bar than your bar which ADVERTISES being a sports bar.

Music sucks! I’ve never heard worse music

We just got our drinks from this bar with a bartender with a blue shirt. It was $25 and we gave $4 tip and our card was charged $30. The bartender gave himself an extra tip with my money. If you come here, double check that you are being charge correctly.

One of your employees was so rude and disrespectful to me! I will never come back to this place I was having a great time until this enmploye harassed me!! Honestly I felt like I was being discriminated.

Was the worst experience I had going to that bar, the manager is abusive and arrogant, he was screaming me for any reason!
