This was my first time in Dallas, and after receiving a strong recommendation from a highly renowned NYC chef, I knew I had to check out Chef Samir’s restaurant, Nick & Sam’s. I’m so glad I did because it was absolutely incredible. We were taken care of by our server, Zach. His energy and enthusiasm truly elevated the entire experience. Additionally, we were so honored that Sean, the manager came over to warmly introduce himself and checked in on us throughout the evening. He was fantastic. You can tell the staff at Nick and Sams truly care about their guests. From the food to the service to the overall vibe, everything was outstanding. I’m so happy I came here as this will absolutely be my go-to spot whenever I’m in Dallas.

The cocktails and wine program are equally impressive—expertly crafted, thoughtfully curated, and worthy of lingering just a little longer at the table. What really sets Nick & Sam’s apart, though, is the service. Attentive, polished, and genuinely warm, the staff goes above and beyond to make the experience feel special without ever being intrusive. You’re not just dining—you’re being taken care of. Whether it’s a celebration, a business dinner, or just a night you want to do right, Nick & Sam’s delivers on every level. Dallas classic for a reason.

We had a really great experience here. First off the bar is fantastic and a good time, great atmosphere and beautiful building. We did have to wait a little longer than expected because the hosts forgot about us, there’s probably a slightly better system they can use to remember who is who and where in the bar to find us but, all was immediately forgiven because the manager Weiland came by immediately with some complementary champagnes for and apologized for it, he was incredibly professional and well spoken. Really great guy. The food was fantastic. The steaks, the spinach was probably the best spinach I’ve ever tried in my entire life, the mashed potatoes and prawns were excellent. Can’t forget about the oysters. Multiple oyster options, all the good stuff! Our server Tiffany was amazing, she explained our menu options perfectly and gave us fantastic knowledge of everything we asked for as well as what we can do after in the area since we’re not from here. She was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, kind and professional. Can’t say enough great things, truly. I can appreciate the mini mag-lites all the servers carry around, they have a very soft and warm temperature in their beam which is perfect for illuminating the steak and seafood options as well as the menu without being hard on the eyes. Very professional. I’m a flashlight nerd so I must take the time to acknowledge the flashlights to satisfy the itch in my monkey brain. Thank you. Our experience was terrific here and we will absolutely be returning and recommending to others. At one point a busboy was careless and blew the confetti (signifies birthday) into our food when he was setting a different table and Weiland immediately came and took care of us, got us right with what we needed in a matter of seconds. He is absolutely one of the most professional managers we’ve ever seen. Fantastic. Genuinely. Man operates on 0 delay. I have 0 bad things to say. At all! To the owner or anyone above him, give him and your staff 2 pats on the back and maybe a bonus or something because they’re excellent and the restaurant is undoubtedly lucky to have them! I’d also like to acknowledge another server Jared, for being incredibly professional and kind, everyone really went above and beyond. Jared showed me his flashlight and even gave us helped us out on multiple occasions, we’ll absolutely be back to visit you guys. Thanks! And see ya’ll someday soon

I came to dine here on Monday night with my aunt, and we were attended by the lovely Grace. It was our first time at the restaurant, and we loved the atmosphere. The artwork aspect is a phenomenal touch. We had such a wonderful time. Grace brought us a complimentary caviar snack, and the manager Austin also offered us free champagne and took care of our desserts. My aunt doesn’t eat pork, and Grace was very mindful about respecting her dietary restriction. Nick & Sam’s definitely cares about making their customer’s experience the utmost best.

My husband and I went to Nick & Sam's for the first time to celebrate my birthday. We were welcomed warmly and promptly shown to our table. Our waitress Olivia promptly came, introduced herself and said Happy Birthday as she added glitter to our table. From there we were awarded with smiles, complimentary champagne and caviar platter. Olivia very eloquently and efficiently presented the meat platter. it was hard to decide which cut looked more appetizing. We ordered our meal and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the red snapper and hubby had filet mignon. the portions were generous, and the taste was fresh and savory. then came dessert ... we ordered the carrot cake was HUGE (and we ordered the 1/2 portion). Dinner at Nick & Sam's is an experience - from the warm welcome to Olivia's attentiveness to the staff stopping by to say Happy Birthday. Nick & Sam's is more than a menu ... it's an adventure!! we can't wait to come back!!

So this place is really over-the-top. It’s great for celebrations. It’s a little noisy in there, but it’s because everyone is having so much fun with all their unusual creations. They bring the meat to the table for you to look at before you order your steak. They have the largest fancy cakes and cotton candy I’ve ever seen and they use a lot of dry ice for drama!!! Plus everything tastes pretty good. Definitely would go again!! But bring your wallet $$$$$$$$!

This restaurant was really good! It can be really crowded, but they show you the different steak cuts at the table and let you choose which state that you want. Also they do these really cool birthday celebrations where they have a cotton candy that is lit up with sparklers and they bring it to the table for you. Also they had a really great wine selection and had really bottles that were on display when you first walk in. Would definitely go back❣️😍❤️

Dining at Nick & Sam’s was an absolutely phenomenal experience! The service was stellar—attentive, professional, and warm from start to finish. The food was nothing short of exquisite, with every dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. I visited Nick & Sam’s in Dallas recently while on a business trip. It was my first time, and I really wanted to try it since it’s such a Dallas staple. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and an impressive wine selection. The menu is extensive with plenty of options. I ordered the chopped salad and the ribeye steak. The salad was average, but the steak was very good—cooked just right and flavorful. For sides, we had the three-cheese mac and cheese and the sautéed mushrooms, both solid choices. They also bring a complimentary caviar plate to start, which is a nice touch. Overall, the meal was good, though I found it a bit overpriced. Still, I can see why people go—it’s definitely a Dallas landmark worth experiencing at least once.

Steakhouse Review #3: Nick & Sam's Made reservations for Friday night at 7:30 pm and arrived a bit early. Parking here seems to be just valet unless you want to park down the street. Greeted by about four young hosts dressed in chic black dresses and looking amazing. We were directed to wait by the bar and my crew ordered the Barbie (praise) and espresso martinis (meh). Waited about 30 minutes and given a table that was through the kitchen and in a small 8 table “closet” room in the back. It took away from the luster of it all but, hey, we were there for the food. The atmosphere in the main dining room was vibrant and loud with mostly men in suits and a slightly gaudy/flashy vibe that fairs well with “look at me” folks. It does feel like an experience though. Our waiter, which I’ll get to later, was fine. We were brought a live crab to the table and seeing the thing on a huge platter winking at me in desperation was a tad off putting. Ordered drinks and the table was brought a complimentary caviar platter. Apparently, it was fine. We ordered the filet, au gratin potatoes, short rib fried rice, and Mac and cheese (also ordered brussels but they never came out). The filet was top notch and just about perfection. Tender, cooked to perfection, and tasty. They bring it with their signature steak sauce and when I tell you it is the worst I have had, I mean it. Think melted licorace. The Mac and cheese was also above average but I know there’s better out there somewhere. That short rib fried rice though…slappin!!!! It was a large side and the cilantro rice, eggs, and soy complimented the tender short ribs perfectly. Im still thinking about it. The potatoes were fine but I don’t know if anyone will beat Pappas Bros in that department. We ordered a giant piece of housemade chocolate cake that could feed 7 and it was really good. Not too sweet, fairly moist, and the icing was primo. No tears but the rice got me close. Went with a couple friends and everyone seemed to enjoy it. They don’t split checks so one of us paid and after doing so the waiter just stood there and waited for us to figure out the cash tip. I gotta say it was awkward and I looked at him and said “didn’t we already pay?” but he just kept standing there. Honestly, he would have gotten a better tip had we had time to figure it out. The whole meal was a bit over $500 and we left $120. For our portion, it was $180 and we left a $40 tip and tipped the valet $5. Total was $225. My friend and I went on Wednesday night for an 8:30pm reservation. We arrived early and asked if they could seat us before our reservation, they couldn’t - no problem! We sat at the bar and waited until 8:30 but due to them being super busy and behind we got sat closer to 9pm. Not ideal but not that big of an issue to us. Once seated we looked over the menu and had the complimentary caviar and our server let us sample the ribs since we did have such a wait. Both things were delicious! We ordered the 16oz sirloin to split along with some side dishes. Then the steak came out… it’s pretty dark in this restaurant, which adds to the fun atmosphere, but when the steak come out they use a flashlight to show you the inside and make sure you approve. The flashlight is okay to view but not the best. I like steak medium rare and the server did let us know that their medium rare is a little more rare than standard. When the flashlight showed the steak it looked pretty rare inside but again it’s dark in there so okay sure! Once I started eating the steak the only flavor I got was charred. I tried some more bites from the center but the only flavor to come through at all was burnt. Eventually I did ask the server for any sauces to cover up the taste but she was gracias and told me that I should enjoy the steak and have the manager come speak with me. The manager never came but she returned after speaking with them and let me know they took the steak off my tab. That was very nice and unexpected! My only issue is that I was really looking forward to having a delicious steak at this restaurant I have never been to before. I think the kitchen was just really busy and didn’t have time to really pay attention to the steaks they were cooking. I don’t think I’ll be back at there are plenty steakhouses in Dallas but it was decorated really cute for the holidays.

We decided just to order appetizers and sides: Calamari - it had the flavor but over fried Oxtail hummus - it did have the flavor of the oxtail but it was very salty Brussels sprouts - had the flavor but the Brussels sprouts needed to be a little more crispy Jumbo Onion Rings-this was huge and very crispy Oysters Rockefeller - very salty but tasty Grilled octopus - not what I had expected, very very salty, we had to send this one back Fries and Sweet potatoe fries - they were good and crispy, but still need to dip in ketchup! After all the hype on their desserts, we ordered the 7 layered Red Velvet, it was delicious and moist! I definitely would just go back and try their desserts! One thing, the service is amazing! We also got the complimentary caviar! It was very loud in the dining, you can’t really hear yourself talk!

Overall everything was very okay and the food was not special, especially for the price we paid. We ordered the prime bone in fillet, raw oysters, shrimp tempura sushi roll, brussel sprouts and Mac n cheese. The Mac n cheese was honestly watery and bland. We were very disappointed in that dish. We originally wanted the New York Strip Steak and it was not available. We had to flag down the server to give him our new steak order. The steak that we then got was very rare even though we asked for medium rare. The brussel sprouts were also just okay, nothing special. The server did not come around and ask us if we were enjoying our food. The manager came through very quickly and thus we missed him. Then it was our friends birthday and we told the server and he did not bring out cake or anything to celebrate. For the price we paid for the dinner, we were not impressed unfortunately and felt it was a let down.

Made a Friday 8pm reservation several weeks in advance. Arrived a couple minutes before 8, checked in and was offered complimentary champagne. We were not sat until 9:20pm (1hr 20 min later), which is completely unacceptable really at any restaurant but especially a $250+pp establishment. Maybe a 20 minute wait is comped with a glass of champagne, but nearly 1.5 hours?? Several other couples that were there before us complained to the host. When we did, the host was shocked we had been waiting for so long and said a manager would come talk to us. After getting seated, we had a wonderful waitress and meal. Tableside caviar service, west and east coast oysters, tender octopus, soft bread service, an amazing bottle of Faust cab and two prime steaks. Loved the booth, lively atmosphere and decor. I see the hype, but the wait was absolutely unacceptable and although our waiter apologized, we never heard from a manager. There are other elevated steakhouses that I will go to instead.
