This place is amazing! It was my first time there and everything that was brought to the table was exceptional. My compliments to the chef! I will be back!
We got the Parrillada Gaucha for date night and it was a mind blowing experience. Shared salad, board of various meats with a few sides and a shared desert.
This place is amazing! The atmosphere is romantic, the service is exceptional and the food is spectacular. I would highly recommend this place. Oh, and you must try the short ribs and the barbacoa. Out of this world! And what ever you do, DO NOT skip desert!
Very nice ambience, cute decor & the food was delicious. Not too pricey!! Romantic ambience. No long wait for a table but we went on a Thursday!!
Claudia in the Social Bar is AMAZING!! I cannot express enough how amazing she is!! Our drinks were the best I've had EVER! I do not usually like a pina cola but will definitely have one here. She changed my mind. I love a great drink and she makes a great freakin drink!
My fiancé and I stopped in to Te Deseo the other night to celebrate my birthday. We were greeted by the Host Jessica who quickly showed us to our reserved table. Once she sat us, she handed me a hand written birthday card signed by their team - such a nice gesture to start the night off! We were then greeted by our serve Edgar who was very prompt and attentive to us the whole night. We enjoyed the auga chile ceviche which was flavorful and spicy, followed by the charred octopus. Then we shared the lamb chops and snapper. Each dish was amazing and flavorful and the drinks were awesome and tasty along with a great selection of wines. After dinner, Edgar surprised me with a small cake for my birthday. From there, we decided to check out the rooftop lounge. Jessica - the host, was nice enough to escort us the entire way there so we wouldn't get lost. My fiancé enjoyed a cigar while I had another glass of wine. The rooftop also had music and a dj which was a nice touch. Over all, it was a great night with great service! Thanks for making my night special!
Had an amazing night at Te Deseo celebrating my fiance's birthday. Starting with the interior, I was esstatic with how beautiful the restaurant was since I wanted it to be a very special night for us. The ceviche was absolutely delicious and actually spicy which I loved. The charred octopus was cooked perfectly as well as the lamp chops which were HUGE. The drinks I got (Oaxacan Sunset & Guava Blossom) were crafted beautifully to highlight the mezcal. And the service from Edgar was phenomenal. After dinner we went to their rooftop lounge (which quickly turned into a nightclub) and had a few more drinks and a great cigar that was decently priced for it's quality. Definitely coming back soon.
Our server Rosa was so attentive and professional. We went for our anniversary and we had a great time. We’re still talking about how good that food was. Definitely recommend the Arroz Chaufa and the arepas. The manager was also super friendly and accommodated all our needs. Thank you Te Deseo team.
I been to Te Deseo a few times now and every visit has been a top tier vibe. They sat us in the private dining room this time so I couldn’t catch the rooftop this time, but the drinks were flowing, the food was solid, and the energy was giving sexy date night or fun dinner with friends. We had the best time celebrating my sister’s birthday this past weekend. This time I got the Guava Blossom cocktail and the Pollo a la Brasa meal. Everything tasted great!
Eric was amazing!! I'm writing this review before even leaving the restaurant with the food and service being so amazing! Both items Eric suggested did not disappoint. We had a party of 10 celebrating my daughter's 26th birthday - a first experience here for us all and it will not be the last! Be sure to try the snapper blackened- thank me later!
This place is truly a vibe! Ideal date night atmosphere or evening of upscale dining with friends. The Latin Cuisine here is delicious and well presented. The customer service was top-notch. They also have an exquisite selection of cocktails and mocktails! I would give them 20 stars if I could!
We had margaritas, elote corn, veggie quesadillas (hands down one of the best I’ve ever had), and ceviche—all super fresh and full of flavor. The vibe here is unmatched, with a beautiful layout and a rooftop that makes the whole experience feel special. Our server was amazing, attentive, and even surprised us with watermelon shots on the house, which made the night even more fun. Between the lively atmosphere, creative cocktails, and outstanding service, Te Deseo is easily one of my new favorite Dallas spots. Perfect for a night out with friends or a celebration—you’ll leave already planning your next visit!
The food was definitely one of the highlights. It had an authentic taste, which is always appreciated. The drinks were beautifully presented, and some definitely stood out more than others. The service was good, but there were definitely a few moments that felt rushed. I don't think I would recommend for a large group, but as a date night, it's definitely cute. Our only major complaint was that the building was extremely hot. There was very little airflow. Not sure if there were repairs going but it was a huge discomfort. Would be willing to return. Definitely recommend checking out the rooftop for the views.
Love the Music and vibe, the service was amazing, our waiter was the best! Adult beverages were delicious. So, I had ordered the 'Chuletas de Cordero' Now, the grilled lamb chops lacked in flavor a bit, maybe a lil more sazon.. I had also asked for chops to be medium, an rcvd medium rare. The asparagus was good, but that avocado and mint salsa verde was old and turned brown already, was not appetizing. Flavor to Price not matching up on this one. Brisket Tacos were okay... Had an odd flavor to the meat that I couldn't put my finger on and they make it like a discada.. chopped and cooked with tomatoes and onion. 'Cod Moqueca' roasted cod filet, crab, shrimp, coconut milk tomatoes all good but the broccolini was undercooked to where you couldn't cut through it. Also way too much turmeric which overwhelmed the plate as a whole. Wasn't a fan of the poblano rice, weird flavor, and beans needed a lil salt. BUT I will say the 'Ensalada de Sandía' was good, the combination of the flavors. Not sure if the price is worth the food.. service yes, but food ... Eeehh...
New to DFW, booked for date night and the great menu options we saw online. We were left wanting better! We discussed with the wonderful manager that randomly stopped by to check on us. You can tell he genuinely cares to make improvements. Thank you for your attentiveness! Yellow trail Crudo, was not seasoned well, lacked the awesome flavor profile it described. Chips had zero seasoning. Flautas - sat too long, they were soggy, cabbage slaw was what saved the dish. Octopus - chewy, lacking in flavor the presentation did not match how it tasted. We love Octopus and this was a let down. Lomo - took a long time to get, but the meat was perfectly cooked, loved the taste of the wood grill. Lamb chops - very nicely cooked, sides were not the best pairing. Tres leches cake - the best! Thank you chef for the treat! We are returning as the ambience and glimpses of good food potential are there.
Tried this Mexican restaurant once and honestly… that’s enough for me 😂😂😂 Service was okay, but the food was just so-so. The atmosphere was wired, so dark I could barely see what I was eating. What really got me though? I was still eating and the staff suddenly took all my plates away… My scallops were barely touched! I only had one! 😅 Oh, and apparently they don’t allow hats inside the dining area? In a Mexican restaurant? That rule just felt random and unnecessary.. 😲 Not planning to come back…
Food was good but menu seemed limited. We did have to send something back but got another item instead. Service was great. Atmosphere was good, thankful we were seated by fire because it was cold due to being close to the door. It was a 3/5 because I love dessert after my meal & was not interested in any of the 4 items listed.
I searched extensively for reviews about this restaurant’s New Year’s Eve event but was unable to find any. The general reviews of the restaurant were mostly positive, so after careful consideration, we chose this venue for New Year’s Eve. We attended as a group of four, and the ticket price was $105 per person including tax. The location and atmosphere were pleasant, as the restaurant is situated in a nice area of the city with attractive surroundings. Unfortunately, the food quality was very disappointing. The chicken and meat skewers were served cold, lacked freshness, and were not enjoyable. In addition, we found a long black hair in one of the dishes, which was extremely unpleasant and raised concerns about hygiene. Overall, the food quality was well below an acceptable standard for a special New Year’s Eve event. We only had beer, which was fine, and cannot comment on the other beverages. Additionally, all of the music and announcements during the event were in Spanish. While the restaurant identifies itself as a Latino venue, clearer communication in advance would have been helpful so guests could better determine if the event matched their expectations. Overall, this experience did not meet our expectations, and we would not choose this venue again for a New Year’s Eve celebration.
We were a part of the Olympics bar crawl in dallas and Te Deseo was our second to last stop. While we were at Te Deseo one of the people who was in our group was hiccuping and the door man confronted us and thought he was intoxicated so he asked us to leave. We let him know he is just hiccuping but ended up leaving as they were forcing us. We pulled up at Happiest hour, our last spot (which we payed for) and they told us we weren’t welcome because of the two hispanics in our group…. They let us know that the door man at Te Deseo had radioed them and told them to not let them in. We asked what the issue was and how we could resolve it and no one could tell us anything except to ask the people at Te Deseo, which they were not explaining what had happened... Also confusing if only one man was hiccuping why they radioed saying two of the men couldn’t come in. We will never be back here a neither should you. UPDATE after restaurant response: if someone had told us what was going on or why they had called the next bar to let us know why they were telling them not to two of the people in our group in we would have understood as you do refuse the right to serve us. Although, we were served alcohol by yall right as the incident was occurring so that does not apply here and secondly no one could give us a reason or explanation as to why they radioed over to the next bar saying two of our members could not come in. They let the rest of us into the next bar as well so that shows for something… Overall the situation was handled very poorly … for a nice restaurant you think this would not occur. I would also like to point out that this is not the first time a group has been unexpectedly and rudely asked to leave this restaurant, please see the other poor reviews. I’d also hate to think that this had anything to do with race as the two people asked to leave were the only hispanic people in our group.. Again- will not be back.
Two years later, I came back and the same problem is still happening. I was very disappointed with the service. After I got the bill, I understood why the servers behave the way they do. They don’t take good care of you — they never come to check on you when the food arrives, and you have to keep calling them or looking for them because they never come to the table. Very poor service. I’m extremely unsatisfied. The tip is automatically included, but the servers don’t deserve it — they don’t earn it with their attitude. Such a beautiful place to receive such terrible service. I’m not coming back, and I don’t recommend this place. It’s expensive and not worth it. I don’t want the service, I just want my money back.
