This places hits every note - welcoming service, generous, flavourful portions, and great ambience. Mexican classics playing over the sound system, Univision Soaps on the TV, and kick-ass tacos. I ordered the El Capitain - one beef, one pork and one chicken. I love how they fry the cheese onto the tortilla and PACK each taco with an ample portion of meat. Just nomnomnom. Must visit unless you’re hoping to lose a few pounds.
Located in the Arts district in downtown Dallas, this is one of my favorites. I picked up a delicious breakfast burrito today and they are always on point! The staff that works there are super friendly. Este es uno de mis restaurantes favoritos en Dallas. You should check them out!!
I love everything about Salsa Limon! I really enjoy the rice, Molca Bowl and the tacos. The staff is beyond friendly, no matter the time. I have visited early in the morning and late at night, the food is always fresh! I really enjoy the lemonade and Margaritas too. I high recommend dining in for breakfast, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming and very clean.
The staff are friendly, the food is fresh. What's not to love?!? Breakfast tacos and burritos slap hard and the mocha bowls will save your life at night!
From a guy that's from The Chuco let me tell you this place is a jewel. If you're craving true Mexican tacos, this is the spot. The margaritas are impeccable. They have pitchers at a great price! The pricing is, in my opinion too low for the quality of authenticity in everything that they do. Great friendly service. This place should be packed out the door. Especially in the downtown area. Support this place if you are in the area. The food tells you they're passionate for what they do.
The food is consistently delicious and reliable here. The tacos are authentic street tacos with amazing sauces that are self-served at a separate counter. The beverages are refreshing, especially the horchata. Lunch traffic can cause a long line, but the line moves quickly. Service may be slower during peak lunch and dinner traffic.
We frequently go here. The tacos are fresh and have great flavor. Their refried beans are so good, I order a side and use it as a dip. The service is always top notch and the restaurant is clean.
Salsa Limón is hands my absolute favorite . I’ve been to several of their locations here and in Fort Worth and this one is hands down the best. For some reason the food here is like that much better than the other locs. The staff is always the sweetest too!
This delightful slice of Mexican food heaven is not to be missed. The food is fantastic: the tacos are delectable, with the al pastor being some of the best meat, and the El Campeon burrito is the king of lunch and dinner foods—a towering achievement to consume. Nachos are excellent, too, and the salsas are all fresh and delicious. Word to the wise: the refried beans are a little spicy, so beware! It’s relatively cheap, the food and service are great, and it’s an easy place to go with a group. Highly recommend!
Very neat and open floor plan with full window side seating with a decent street view and a comfortable vibe. Service was friendly, fast, and the food was brought to the table fresh and delicious. The El capitan was sizzling deliciousness and the mango habanero hot sauce was delicious with just the right amount of heat for enjoying flavor and bite. The El capitan with carne asada was so good I bought another with barbacoa and a pastor street taco. Definitely stop by and enjoy the food and a draft brew if you so choose.

Salsa Limón: El Campeón Holds the Crown Nestled in the heart of downtown Dallas, Salsa Limón Flor de Mayo carries a distinct retro charm and an unapologetically bold menu. But one item in particular is being whispered like a secret across city blocks: El Campeón. Let’s begin there, because that’s where the real sermon happened. This burrito—no, this revelation—comes packed to the seams with slow-cooked barbacoa, creamy avocado, refried beans, Spanish rice, melted cheese, a silky fried egg, and a pop of cilantro crema that kisses everything into cohesion. Then they do the unthinkable: they grill it flat-top burrito-style until the edges seal and the flavors marry. Now, you better come hungry—because this is not your average roll-and-go wrap. It’s a heavyweight. I made it halfway before I tapped out, and I’m not ashamed. The portion is generous—honestly built for two souls, or one very brave lunchtime gladiator with no afternoon plans. That said, the El Campeón lives up to its name. It’s rich but well-balanced, hearty but with a lightness that comes from the cilantro and avocado. You’ll get hits of salt, fat, freshness, creaminess, and smoke in each bite. There’s an almost spiritual harmony to it. Then there’s the fresh-squeezed orange juice. A decent supporting act—refreshing, bright, clean—but not quite the transformative elixir I expected from the hype. It’s good, but not essential. Chips and salsa? Let’s talk truth. The chips were warm, yes—but flavorless. No salt, no seasoning, no character. They were just… there. The salsa looked like it had potential, but once you taste it, it’s mostly watery with a lack of depth. A flat note in an otherwise symphonic meal. The atmosphere at Flor de Mayo holds its own. It’s bright, casual, and slightly quirky—somewhere between a 1950s diner and a lucha libre temple. Staff are efficient and the kitchen moves with purpose. In summary, El Campeón is the reason to come—full stop. Skip the chips. Sip the juice if you’re feeling citrusy. But that burrito? That burrito is the main event. Just don’t try to face it alone unless you’re ready for the consequences. Bring a friend, split it in half, and let gratitude do the rest.
Recommended by a friend, we went there for the first time and totally loved it! The food was delicious, with each dish bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The service was impressively quick, ensuring that we didn't have to wait long to enjoy our meal. The staff were super friendly, making us feel welcome and attended to throughout our visit. The restaurant has a pretty big seating area, providing ample space for diners to sit comfortably without feeling crowded. The ambiance was pleasant, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. We were thoroughly impressed with everything and will definitely be going back again!
A clean and spacious Mexican restaurant. Tacos are reasonably priced and taste well. This is the first time I see shredded cabbage on tacos but it turns out that they work well with tacos. Happy hour gives me a discounted beer and free chips with salsa. That salsa has a nice kick, those who love spicy food would enjoy it. After I ordered, they will bring food to my table. There are four different sauces at your own service. Maybe this is the reason that tipping is not necessary here. The only trouble is that when their employees have a turnover, around 6 pm, they seem to have a break with food in the dinning area which is shared with customers, which is fine; but several of them were watching videos with extreme loud volume.

Will Salsa Limon challenge Chipotle? Great flavors but employees and toilets sour the deal. At first glance, this is exactly what downtown Dallas, the urban space struggling to reinvent itself, so desperately needed. It is cheerfully decorated, locally owned, and has pretty good salsa (as the name suggests). But once you peel the burrito cover, the weaknesses emerge. During our visit, half of the toilets were unusable (yes, even the one labeled "all gender"). Worse, while the rather expensive tacos were pleasant, the salad turned out to be taken straight out of the deep freezer - simply inedible. The employees blamed the refrigerator, and an unpleasant back-and-forth was needed to get a replacement. Not only that, but they also charged us an extra dollar to do so, citing an unforgiving "corporate policy." Better toilets and employees empowered to serve customers properly are what this location needs. Until that happens, Chipotle's position remains unchallenged. As ordinary consumers, we are not paid or compensated in any way for this review. We are always looking for reliable and transparent businesses and hope the owner will take this feedback into consideration.
chips and salsa were tasty, as was the food itself. Portions were quite small, but didn't keep us from coming back a second time. Staff was friendly and food was priced affordably.

I live down the street and was excited about trying this spot. Not one smile, “thank you”, or even eye contact/ acknowledgement. Just took my money and was very rude. I saw them interact with other people that looked different than me in a welcoming manner. Just lost a potentially loyal and local customer
