Dangsungsa is one of those places you think is gonna be nasty but it’s actually amazing. It’s one of my favorite late night cravings and always the best. The ramen is always the same taste and the egg soup is my favorite. (Not pictured here). The service is always very good and low wait times.
Why is this the only place that sells Chapaguri noodles ?!?!? Idk but it's the best thing in the world the way they make it, and not a single restaurant in San Antonio or Austin have this listed on their menu. Thank you DanSungSa for the immaculate food, vibes, and atmosphere. (pls don't raise your prices)🙏
(Updated Review Since you can’t rate twice) Happy I found this spot after looking for something open. Ellen was kind, attentive, and provided service that exceeded my expectations. I’m most definitely coming back. I love the atmosphere! Much love! ———————————————————— : Update January 7th 2026 came in for the first time two weeks ago and said I’d be back because of the great service—and I was right. I came back and Dolma delivered excellent service, very kind, even going the extra mile with a request I had. Honestly, I was shocked in the best way. In today’s world, it often feels like people forget how to be human, so it was refreshing to experience genuine kindness here. I truly value great service, and I’d love to work with a team as kind and passionate as the one here.
DanSungSa absolutely delivered from start to finish. The lemon pepper wings were outstanding. They were incredibly flavorful with just the right kick and so juicy that every bite was satisfying. The beef bulgogi was seasoned beautifully and cooked to tender perfection with rich flavor that was not overpowering. The garlic chicken was equally impressive and packed with bold delicious taste. The fries were perfectly seasoned and crispy and paired perfectly with the meal. To top it all off the server was extremely nice and personable and genuinely hilarious which made the entire experience even more enjoyable. The combination of amazing food and great service made this a memorable visit and an easy place to recommend.
AMAZINGGGGGG!!!! Definitely does not look like it tastes but wellllll worth it! Great late night spot! The food was amazing best chinese in all of Dallas if you ask me. lol We had the fried rice, orange, and sesame chicken. Was so good I had to speak to the chef Santiago to let him know it was amazing. The manager Emmanuel was very nice and even came out to talk with us. Our waiter Edward was awesome and very friendly as well!!
I was not prepared. I was not prepared spiritually, mentally or physically. Once in a lifetime food perhaps.I ordered the extra spicy chicken and it took me to another realm. It was not only delicious but spiritually satisfying. I hope they pay that cook his weight in gold. Blew me away. And yeah long line...but they are superb hosts and food comes out quick. Drinks were solid too.
We went to DanSungSa last night — just my wife and I — and had an amazing experience from the moment we walked in. Even though it was busy, we got a table right away, which was a nice surprise. Each table has a button to call the staff, and as soon as we pressed it, someone came over immediately — super efficient and polite. Juana and the whole team were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home throughout our visit. The food was delicious and packed with flavor, and the soju was perfectly chilled. Also, if you’re a K-pop fan, you’ll love the music playing in the background — it adds to the lively and upbeat atmosphere. Highly recommended if you’re in Dallas and looking for a great Korean spot with top-notch service and vibes. We’ll definitely be back!
I found this place on instagram and this is by far the best Korean food I’ve had. We went on a Friday night and it was fortunately not busy. We waited 2 minutes to be seated! The service is different from any regular restaurant. When you are ready to order you press the call button and a waiter comes to your table. We ordered the Bulgogi, Korean Omelet, Korean Ramen and Fried Dumplings and all are a 10/10. The atmosphere definitely feels like you’re in a night club since they play some loud music but it’s definitely a vibe! Lang was very nice and spoke to us for a bit as it was our first time there but I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone!!
I had absolutely no idea that there were korean restaurants such as this open till 3 am in dallas, texas. This place did not disappoint from the when you walk in. It's such an unusual and different and fun atmosphere. The seating is semi private. The concept of ordering food is really fun. The food itself is food. It's fantastic. It was some of the best I've ever tried. I definitely will go back.
One of my favorite hole-in-the-wall spots. Tucked away in a nondescript little plaza, it’s completely no-frills—with every surface covered in graffiti (bring your own pen). Happy hour runs every day, the soju is solid, and they serve all the Korean staples you’d want. You’re never rushed here. Whether you stay for 30 minutes or three hours, the service is quick and consistent. A great spot for groups, a one-on-one catch-up, or even a solo date. Take a few edgy pics before u go.
Very pleased. This was my first time experiencing Korean cuisine. It was very tasty, robust flavors with hearty portions. I had the kimchi, buffalo wings, vegetarian ramen, and bulgogi (marinated grilled short-rib) and steamed rice. It was delicious. Not to mention, the restaurant is a vibe. Yes, I highly recommend.
DangSungSa is a nice “hole-in-the-wall” with k-pop music, graffiti art throughout, and special care from the staff. I have been 3 times and the service has been the same. Moderate speed, won’t say super fast. But the food is ALWAYS hot, fresh, and made to order. We had the orange chicken, rice, Godeungeo Gui (mackerel), and ramen. The Godeungeo Gui is so delicious that I’ve ordered this meal numerous times and it’s the same taste each time. We also ordered drinks, which comes to your table pretty quickly even when the space is crowded. The consistency in food and service is great and a hard thing to accomplish at most restaurant locations today. Will be back again I’m sure.
Went to this Korean spot and honestly had such a fun time! We ordered quite a few things and here’s the breakdown: The French fries were AMAZING—super fresh, straight from the fryer to the table, with the perfect crunch and seasoning, served with ranch. Easy 10/10. The wings with Korean spicy sauce were also perfection—juicy, flavorful, and honestly some of the best wings I’ve had. Another solid 10/10. The ramen, however, was the only letdown. The noodles weren’t cooked properly and it felt like they were just dropped into a simple veggie broth with some vegetables. That one was a 2/10 for me. For dessert, we tried the waffle fish ice cream with strawberry flavor—kind of a once-in-a-while treat. The “waffle” is basically like a regular cone you’d get at an ice cream stand, but still fun to try. I’d give it a 7/10. The lychee soju was light and sweet, though with barely any alcohol taste—an 8/10. Beyond the food, the place itself was super lively, with walls to write your name on and little fun activities that make the vibe unique. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a fun night out with good food and good energy!
We tried this place due to an instragram post. The food was OK. For what we ordered it was not worth the price. For the dishes ordered, it's better to eat at a real restaurant vs this snack/street food. Very expensive for the yangyuem chicken and the braised pork dish. The squid dish was decent portion for the price. Honestly, would not come here for the food but more so for the atmosphere to drink with the private tables. Servers were diligent, there is bell you can ring for service.
I’ve Been To This Establishment 4-5 Times Now And Almost Every Time Except The First Experience This Place Has Disappointed Me. The Food Comes Out Come Cold Which Kills The Entire Meal. The Food Would Be Better If It Actually Arrived Fresh Which Unless It’s Busy Good Luck Getting Hot Food. The Drinks Are Actually Pretty Good But They Seem Very Lack Luster When It’s Comes To Service.. I Don’t Think I’ll Be Returning Again. I’ve Given It Chances Edit: The Younger Guy That Serves And Sometimes Works In The Kitchen Was Very Helpful (I Didn’t Catch His Name) He Offered A Discount And Attempted To Rectify The Situation Which Is Appreciated.
This place continues to disappoint, and today was the final straw. Since Dasungsa started gaining publicity through social media, the quality of both the food and service has noticeably declined. I’ve been here five times, and I’ve ordered the stir-fried udon every single visit. Each time, the dish has gotten progressively worse. Today was outright insulting. The portion of udon noodles was clearly reduced, and it felt like a lazy attempt to cover it up by dumping in extra vegetables instead. That’s not refinement—that’s cutting corners and hoping customers won’t notice. Even worse, the seafood tasted anything but fresh. It had that unmistakable flavor of something that’s been sitting around all day, which completely ruins the dish and raises serious concerns about quality and care in the kitchen. What was once a promising spot has turned into an embarrassment. Social media hype may bring people in, but it doesn’t excuse declining standards. Dasungsa has lost whatever consistency and pride it once had, and I won’t be coming back.
