Whew! When I tell you this old favorite was everything I needed after a super long day. Came to this location for an impromptu date night. We were sat immediately and drink orders taken. I got the Blue Dragon and it was so refreshing, yet strong, made me feel like I was in the islands. Once in line to make my large bowl, I loved the new variety of proteins available. I was able to try something different than normal, the salmon addition was spot on! I also love that now the broccoli is cut up instead of those huge florets, that made it hard to keep them in the bowl back in the day. Lol love love love what they’ve done, it will definitely be back in my casual dining rotation again! @MissMo2323

It has been a long time since we visited Genghis Grill. I just couldn't find a combination I liked. They have made changes. You can order bowls based on a menu selection. No more hoping and praying your food will taste good. ORDER From the Menu. You're eating out. Let them do the work and prepare the meal ad it was meant to be. Me, I had the Hot and Spicy bowl. AWESOME. We will return, and I will only order from the menu in the future. The staff was so kind. Stayed on top of drink refills. It's worth every penny

Best food I had while in Dallas. I could pick out all my ingredients and seasonings and when I let the chef know that I had allergies, he was gracious enough to keep my bowl separated from others.Next time I'm in Dallas I'm definitely visiting this place.

Delicious 🤤 My boyfriend had never tried out this restaurant, so we decided to give it an opportunity. He was so glad that we stopped at this place! I really enjoyed eating at this location as it was not packed. The food was fresh, and cooked perfectly. The waitress was excellent as well. She was so friendly and attentive to my boyfriend and I. She wanted to make sure we weren’t confused as to how their process worked. We each got the build our own bowl and packed it with chicken, shrimp, sausage, vegetables, sauces and spices, tofu… we just packed the bowl to the brim and enjoyed it with rice and noodles. Definitely recommend this restaurant and this specific location! Thank you!

First time here and it was excellent! I got the supreme fried rice which had shrimp, chicken and steak. I wish there was a little more meat as there was plenty of egg and shrimp but meat not so much. The portion size is very very good for the price. I am happy I didn't get a bigger size.

We went here with coworkers and we thought it was a good experience. This is an Asian fusion restaurant located between Midway and Belt Line. Plate sizes are large, my advice is to go for the small plate as it's enough to satisfy a regular customer. I thought it was a bit more expensive than I expected but I guess that you pay for freshly prepared food. I went to Genghis Grill in Addison today 10/26/25, and the experience was terrible. The young lady at the front who greeted me was very nice. she had great customer service. But the cook’s attitude was nasty. She was rude and acted like she didn’t want to be there. When she finished making my food, she threw the bowl on the counter for the young lady to hand to me. The young lady at the front apologized for her behavior, which I appreciated. On top of that, the rice was stiff, and old. I wasted $17 and completely lost my appetite. I will never return to this location again. the cook’s attitude is trash, and she doesn’t belong in customer service.

Decent Food, But Service and Maintenance Need Serious Attention I recently visited Genghis Grill, which follows a “build your own bowl” concept similar to Flat Top Grill (both owned by the same company). While the food was decent, the service—especially from one key staff member—and the lack of maintenance left a lot to be desired. The Food: The food is decent, not great. The “build your own bowl” idea is fun, offering a variety of proteins, vegetables, and sauces to choose from. Be careful with the hot sauces—they can make your bowl extremely spicy very quickly. Portion sizes are generous; even the largest bowl, which looks small when empty, ends up being quite big once filled and cooked. The Service: The main issue was the front-of-house experience, specifically with the gentleman managing the greeting and payment process. He seemed to be in his own world, acting as though what he was doing was fine, but it was clear he didn’t understand customer service. When I mentioned it was my first visit, his explanation of how the process worked felt minimal and dismissive, almost like I was supposed to figure it out myself. He spent a lot of time walking around aimlessly or staring at his phone while customers waited for assistance. For example, a family with a stroller came in, and instead of approaching to help them, he called out to them from across the room, leaving them looking confused. When I paid for my meal, he disappeared immediately afterward without so much as a “thank you” or “have a good day.” It’s a small gesture, but it matters—it’s the last impression you leave with your customers. On top of all this, his hygiene was concerning, as he coughed openly multiple times without covering his mouth. It felt like he thought he was doing everything right but missed the mark entirely on providing a welcoming and professional customer experience. The Maintenance: The restaurant itself also had noticeable issues. The outdoor door was broken, the urinal in the restroom wasn’t working, and the overall upkeep felt neglected. It gave the impression that the place isn’t being managed properly. Final Thoughts: The food and concept are solid if you enjoy the Flat Top Grill style of dining. However, this location is held back by poor service and a lack of attention to basic maintenance. With better staff training and some much-needed repairs, it could be a great spot. For now, though, it’s hard to recommend.

We came here for a quick quick bite to eat and the food was fine. However an issue came when we were paying. My partner noticed that he was charged $4 instead of $2 for the caiflower rice, he got a regular size. He just wanted a refund for the two dollars. He pulls the waiter aside.Who tells him that for a regular size its double the amount.It's $4 because it's bigger than the small, which makes no sense.Because the regular size is more expensive and not double the portion. She grabbed her manager.Who tells us that it's 1.99 for all sizes.And then the next sentence says the regular size comes with two bases and that's why it's double for the califlower rice. The califlower rice was barely in the bowl not a big portion. We show them the menu which states nothing of sort pictured below and they agreed to give us a refund finally. We were going to go one closer to our home in the future but we decided we're never coming back here again. Not good business.

My first time experience here TERRIBLE I came in to order to go and was never greated so finally I walk up to a worker to ask where to go to place a take out order she said wait 5 min I said okay where do I go to wait she said talk to the other girl so I ask the other girl she said well what you wanna order , mind you this is my first time so no menu nothing I just said something normal an simple she said okay walked off I’m just left standing in the middle of the floor by the grill a group of elderly white women walk in she runs to great them gives them menus before they can even all sit down at the table so at that point I just decided to leave definitely don’t recommend as a black woman coming to this location you will be looked over as if your money doesn’t matter

Upon walking in the greeter was wonderful. The guy working behind the counter was also kind. The black woman actually cooking the food had a nasty look on her face the whole time, not welcoming at all. I asked her could she cook my broccoli a little longer she walked away. I had to ask her again she shook her head yes, without a response . I started to walk out because I big on a person who energy is bad I don't want them cooking my food but decided to stay because I drove from Richardson to Addison being that is the closest one. The wok station was dirty, the vegetables needed to be changed , the drink machine was filthy . I will have to drive further the next time because I won't be going back to this location and I don't recommend it.

I go to Genghis all the time, but normally in Mesquite , I will NEVER come to this one again .. Came in person and made a to go order, The lady who greeted me was very nice, but the cook was VERY rude and nasty . You could see it on her face that she did not want to work nor cook the food she was talking under her breath while she was cooking. She was moving with an attitude the whole time as well When she went to clean the grill, she sprayed water or whatever was in the bottle ALL over the OTHER food that she was cooking ! She kept throwing the bowls down on the table every time She finished on it was just horrible. I normally wait in the car, but I definitely had to see how my food was made after seeing her with the others . I got my food back water all up in the container Now I understand why people said they got food poisoning from this location. Definitely going to stick to Mesquite.

Ordered take out here and the 16$ bowl came with less food than my child’s 8$ kids meal bowl. Initially I sent my teen daughter in to get the food and they disregarded her as if she wasn’t a paying customer, 1st red flag. I called to discuss the portions and the manager immediately got combative with me instead of professionally explaining to me how their portion size works. Even told me “I’m doing too much” huh!!?? She had yet to see “too much”. I then demanded a refund. She then went on tell me she would not be issuing a refund which is when things went LEFT!!
