I will say I have gone to this location many times in my life and 90% of the time the employees are rude the food is not fresh but let me tell you today I walked in and Mr Reginald greeted me very professional and very pleasant and the food was even better than the greeting so kudos to you all keep up the good work!

I was shocked at some of these other reviews lol. I haven’t ate Hendersons in about 8 years (not from here) but today I was driving past it, decided to get some. The line was long when I walked in, so I did kinda roll my eyes and expect to be waiting 20+ minutes like at most chicken restaurants. I told my son go sit down while I stand in line. I was wrong, soon as the lady in the front gave someone their order, she took everyone else’s order within 5 minutes- I’m not kidding. So my son got right back up. I was trying to figure out what I wanted, the lady and gentleman that was working in the front helped me decide and was very polite. I got half chicken and Kool-Aid. I’m not supposed to be eating in my new car but my son and I ate that chicken before we got home. I thought that I forgot to ask for some bread, but as I was eating, I noticed it was under my chicken… Exactly where I like for it to be. I’ll gladly make that trip for some more.

Always go here. The 2nd to the last time I ordered 2 piece breast with fries. And received 1 Breast and 1 Thigh. Not sure why. But I always will go back.great chicken

A coworker said I should try this place for great fried chicken. The area is quite sketchy lol. It was good, but I've had way better. The chicken was hot and fresh, but the fries were soggy.

Food was good but service was terrible. Definitely need to do better with who yall hire, they talk crazy to folks and have attitudes, they call around on the phone in front of the customers saying they need help and the cook slow and it ain’t no managers there. Unfortunately I was disappointed by the food. I know the chicken would have been great had it been hot because it was seasoned well but it wasn’t fresh and the fries were too hard for my taste. It wasn’t busy and there was very little wait time. I did like that you receive a generous amount for the price though.

Customer service is bad . 3 people working only one serving in front bad service bad attitude. The chicken was fried hard and it wasn’t not the best product of chicken.

Food was okay but the service is horrible! People are very rude here. Manager was also very rude as well. They charge for every little thing here. They also play explicit music and use profanity loudly. I do not recommend this establishment for children. The appearance of the establishment was run down. Holes in the floor and flys flying around. This place needs a new staff and upgrade to the establishment.

Waiting an entire hour for chicken is crazy!!! The only entertainment that kept me lingering was the staff arguing non stop I thought the lady was going to start throwing chicken at the men in the back that was going at it! They gave me pink chicken cause they were arguing so much nobody was doing any type of quality control! As soon as I was fed up and asked them to give me my money back they gave me my chicken smh. I won’t be returning I’ll take that drive to the one on loop 12 at least they all work like a team and give cooked chicken.

I’ve ate at this place for years, occasional hiccups but nothing they weren’t willing to fix. I ordered 2x 5 pc wings. The wings came out the size of a biscuit. That’s not the usual Henderson way so Inquired. To be told fresh ones will be coming in 10 mins to then be waiting an hour. I finally get my food to receive 2x 4pc wings. I made a call to advise my order was incorrect. The woman stated my name will be taken down for 2x 5pc wings. I informed her I’d be out of town till Monday and will be back . Monday night around 8:30 I arrive and the young lady on the line is yelling “we’re out of wings/no more chicken … we be leaving to late so we aren’t cooking anymore chicken “. I get to the front and explain this whole scenario to be told”yall need to come in the next day, we don’t see all that, we. Don’t have that order, yea nothing we can do”. It’s unfortunate the poor customer service caused them to loose two loyal customers . This place will never get another red cent out of me cause clearly the chicken is not the only thing that has decreased. Give them all customer service training if you ask me.

Placed an online order for pickup. Went to get my order and the lady was VERY Rude! She immediately started yelling, "We are closed, we are closed!! I normally order here a lot but going forward I will not. If you are closed why would you accept an online picked up order, and be rude to your paying customers. I do NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE to go to this establishment at all, under no circumstances. I am VERY disappointed! Not to mention I had to walk to the place in the Cold, snow and ice and they didn't have the decency to give me my order. They could have easily canceled the order and not allow it to be submitted.

I called the automated voicesaid they closed at 10pm you walk to the door the hours say close at 10pm lmao I walk in at 9:20pm and get kicked out because “she forgot to lock the door” that’s false advertising … food good tho

As a loyal customer of 5 years, I’ve consistently driven 43 minutes to support this business—despite its location being far from where I typically go. Honestly, this chicken spot has been the only reason I set foot in South Dallas (besides the State Fair). I’ve always loved the food and built a genuine loyalty over the years. Unfortunately, today was the last straw. From the moment I walked in, the owner looked at me as if I didn’t belong. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt—maybe it was a bad day. But the energy was off, and I felt rushed and unwelcome. There was no effort to greet us properly or even confirm if we were together when ordering. It felt like he didn’t want our business at all. He mentioned changes to the staff and tried to speak on improvements, which I hoped included better customer service. But instead, it felt like everything I loved about the place was slipping away. I asked if the fries were fresh, and the lady assured me they had just come out. They looked pale but I trusted them because I’ve never had bad food from here. Sadly, they were undercooked, soggy, greasy, and lacked seasoning. Despite being exhausted and starving from a long workday, I only ate the chicken—which wasn’t fresh either, but still edible. When I politely returned to address the fries, the owner dismissed me with sarcasm, blaming me for sitting outside too long. He passed me off to someone else and offered more of the same greasy fries. I was shocked. At that point, I let him know—respectfully—that the customer service was unacceptable. As a business owner myself, I understand how important it is to treat people well. I would never let a client walk away from my business feeling the way I felt today. And I own a very nice very well kept business. It’s sad to see a place I once loved try to improve and end up ruining the very things that made it special. I never leave reviews and I’m not a confrontational person—but today I felt the need to speak up. They have lost not only my business, but my family’s as well.

Very to little fries and the tenders were very small…overall I’ll give them a 3 out 10
