This was a wonderful Thai dining experience. I adored the food and the service. Being greeted upon entering and sat at the perfect table. The restaurant wasn’t busy cause we came at an odd time but they served us like it was the perfect time. The menu was beautifully clear and constructed so my mouth salivated just seeing the options. For happy hour they have great deals and delicious apps. I would’ve just eaten appetizers for dinner if I could. The main entree I chose was a Thai Vermicelli salad of sorts. With warm curry and ground chicken that was filled with so much flavor. If you’re not a fan of spice say 0. There’s a scale from 1-5, I chose 1 and it was just what I was able to handle. The veggies were crispy and not overcooked cause they sat in the warm broth and it was a great experience. I usually hate green bell pepper in dishes. But I’m glad I didn’t take it off cause it was perfect refreshing crispy with the warm noodles and chicken. 100/10 for service and quality of food. They were so patient and loved the flavors of the dishes.
I’ve been wanting to try this place and so glad I did! Love the Boho chic decor & overall ambiance of this place 😍 The food was delicious! Not too many Thai places offer Pad Prik King, & theirs was super flavorful. Did a spice level 2 and felt like it was pretty mild. Portion sizes are generous & prices were relatively inexpensive. Also had the chicken spring rolls which were more than enough for 2 people. Plan to return for the Thai Basil and curry. The staff are very friendly and attentive. *Parking is offered in the garage directly across from the shell gas station, behind to the Blue Sushi (on Bowen St.) Ka Thai offers validation via QR code that you scan inside the restaurant.
The restaurant was very busy with a welcoming vibe! The staff was friendly and prompt. The food was delicious - The basil chicken -my favorite! I wish it was in my hometown. I would dine there several days a week! The atmosphere was cozy with textured decor. One of my favorite Thai meals ever👏👏
One of the best Thai places I have ever been. Glass noodles were awesome followed with papaya salad. The beef steak was delicious and coconut chicken udon was delicious. Definitely coming back. Just a little sad the mango sticky rice was out of stock. Mocktails were also great.
The food was delicious and full of flavor. We ordered the spicy edamame, shrimp and pork dumplings, chicken pad thai at spice level 3 (it wasn’t very spicy, so I’d recommend going higher if you like heat), adding hot sauce made it 10x better. We also tried the traditional chicken fried rice, and finished with the mango sticky rice topped with vanilla ice cream. Everything was amazing, and the dessert alone was worth the visit. The customer service was friendly and attentive, and we never felt rushed.
Very good experience with service and food! We went mid day on a Monday, walked right in. There is a general parking lot a short walk away. Food was delicious and good amount for the prices. Desert was good as well we got coconut ice cream and rice, would go back and recommend to check it out! Service was attentive and friendly even with multiple kids in our party.
I have been coming to Ka Thai for 5+ years and can attest this is the most authentic and highest quality Thai restaurant in Dallas. Never have to wait for a table and the food and service are always perfect. You will pay a little more for that but it's worth the money. The building is constantly changing the parking situation but just go inside to validate rather than messing with the garage QR codes.
What a wonderful place for Thai food. I have seen some of the reviews regarding the lack of service, and the food being bland. I will say my experience was absolutely amazing, I have no complaints whatsoever. The service was very attentive, and the food portion sizes could easily serve two people. Beef and onions- came with a side of rice and was seasoned just right. Shrimp Crevice- I could literally just come for this dish alone and be totally satisfied. The whole dish was fresh and the flavor was amazing. Spring rolls- (fried) delicious and was not greasy Chai manhattan- delicious
We had a great experience at Ka Thai. Our service was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Ambiance inside was nice but casual. We started off with the steamed Thai dumplings which had a great flavor profile and were of a good size. We then got the chicken pad Thai and black pepper beef. Both entrees were excellent but next time I’d get a higher spice level on the pad Thai for added flavor as it was a bit bland with the more mild option. Overall, I would come back here and try more options on the menu. Note- they validate parking
Such a great experience at this Thai restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious—authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and perfectly spiced. We came in with a large group and were pleasantly surprised that they were able to seat us right away without a reservation. The staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly. From start to finish, the service and atmosphere were top-notch. Highly recommend for both small dinners and bigger gatherings! 🇹🇭🍜🌶️
My husband and I ate here while in Dallas for work and we both have allergies to gluten (he’s celiac, I have a wheat allergy/gluten intolerance). The food was incredible and we felt very safe eating here. Gluten Free is clearly marked on the menu and when we told the server she made sure the kitchen knew our allergies. We shared the chicken satay appetizer, my husband got the curry fried rice and I had the massamun curry. The flavors were out of this world delicious! I would eat here all the time if I lived here. Highly recommend!
Love this place. I was on date a few months back and I brought a few of my girlfriends with me this time around. The food was amazing. Having been in Thailand this is very on par with the food the serve. Highly recommend as a great place to eat without breaking bank and just general beautiful atmosphere. Parking is also available!
love Ka Thai! The modern yet authentic vibe is fantastic, and the staff is super friendly. 🥰 The Thai tea is delicious, but the Thai coffee? Even better! We tried the papaya salad, spicy edamame, pad see ew, and white seaweed salad—all so fresh and flavorful. 🤤😋 Wish we could’ve ordered more, but we’ll definitely bring friends next time to enjoy their awesome happy hour menu! Highly recommend! 🌟
A modern Thai restaurant with attentive customer service combining traditional Thai food with a contemporary restaurant design. Upon entering the front, you're warmly greeted by the host. If you park in the garage (2 hour free parking is validated by the restaurant), you enter through a seating area to wait for to-go or pick-orders. Soft, ambient lighting creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. Tables are well-spaced to allow for privacy and comfort, with comfortable seating that encourages guests to relax and enjoy their meal. The staff is exceptionally attentive, keeping drinks full and ensuring your satisfaction throughout the entire dining experience. They're knowledgeable about the menu, ready to offer recommendations based on your preferences, and can provide detailed descriptions of dishes, including ingredients and spice levels. The yellow curry (spice level 1) and bearable stir fry with beef (spice level 2) were both served with white rice and bursting with mouth watering flavor. The restaurant strikes a perfect balance between efficiency and warmth, ensuring that every guest feels like they’ve received personalized attention.
We had a really nice dinner there after a long day in the road. The spring rolls are otherworldly with crispy skins soft shredded cabbage. The fried rice always aromatic and delicious. Pad Thai on the other hand was too sweet to our liking. Otherwise a great spot!
Us 4 were seated out in the patio during a very busy Saturday dinner. Street view was entertaining with cars blocking railway and firetruck! Entrees are good. The fish (in both the house special and the appetizer) was especially tender and moist. Regarding services: They did mix up our curry spiciness level. Sticky rice mango is very disappointing, in both quality and quantity. The 9 cubes of mango tasted good, but the rice seemed drenched in syrup. We got that dessert to-go and the whole dish fit inside a small paper box.
Here's the deal. This restaurant was great. Great food, great with kids, great atmosphere, great location, and very walkable. BUT! If you park here? The parking authority is RUTHLESS! We parked, juggled two small children into the restaurant, making sure they don't get run over, and thought we could relax once in the restaurant. Turns out you have to pay for parking before the meal, and there must be some AI or something checking because we weren't sitting for even an hour (Again, the restaurant has great service) and we got a ticket. We also weren't the only ones, there were multiple cars with tickets when we left. No parking validation. No forgiveness either. So my meal ended up costing twice as much as I thought. Sorry Ka Thai. You were all great and the food was excellent. Maybe we'll order uber eats from here in the future. But I learned my lesson trying to park here and I hope you and the other tenents reconsider if the parking company you all pay for, is money well spent when they're hounding a family with 2 little kids to pay an extra $100.
This is not a review about the food at Ka Thai since that is always amazing! This review is more focused on the parking situation they have. It appears they have a new vendor in place since I have not had an issue like this in the past 4 years I have been visiting. I parked in the parking garage last night after driving around a few times to find a spot. Noticed someone issuing tickets in the garage but didn't think much of it since I always validate my parking at the restaurant. As soon as I walked up to the restaurant the first thing I did was to validate parking with the QR code they have at the front. Thought all was good till I went back to my car and saw a parking ticket for $97. In less than 5 minutes that it took me to walk from my car to entering the information for the validation they seemed to have already issued a ticket. They are not checking what time a vehicle entered the garage or parked, and do not offer a grace period to allow you to fill in all the information before issuing tickets. The time of the validation and the time on my ticket is also the same. Seems like a very predatory and unfair practice. I now have to take out time to solve this issue for no fault of mine just because a vendor of Ka Thai decides to be predatory. Please avoid this location of Ka Thai till the issue with parking is resolved.
Food is sooo good, I love the Pad see ew and Fried Rice and curry here -but that's why I've ONLY been ordering on Uber eats. I had a bad experience here months ago. I've been here two times. The service was okay the first time, but the second time was insane, (we had the asian lady with the bangs) I don't know if it's because we are people of color, she was rude and very short with us about any questions we had. I thought maybe she was having a bad day, but she spent soooo much time talking to other tables and laughing with them (maybe they were her friends idk) while I was trying to get her attention. I also notice her gossip after leaving our table and the other lady looked back at our table as well. they were all huddled in the same area. Like any other normal person, you tip based off the service. She came back and asked me why I did not tip, it was so unprofessional and made me feel like we were being cheap, but it was truly the service. I'll spend money on good food any day but not spend it to get ridiculed like that. Never again will I dine here, I advise anyone to avoid her as well.
