Between the food the service just everything you cannot beat an experience at THE Mercury celebrated my wife's birthday, the price is affordable and it's worth experiencing it with the people closest to you. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
Celebrated Valentine’s dinner last night and it was absolutely amazing! Our server, Corey, was incredible and the food didn’t disappoint! Vibes were great and overall so happy with our experience at The Mercury!
Thank You to The Mercury and our superb server Corey for making my son's 40th Birthday Celebration an amazing experience. Corey went above and beyond in providing excellent service and the food was perfect. I highly recommend both The Mercury and Corey for any dining occasion. We will definitely be back often!
Iconic Dallas restaurant, where there are no bad meals and no bad service. It's pricey and well worth it. Lots of people having business lunch. We just go there because it's a great place to eat. Jeans and tshirts are fine, but most people are dressed more business casual. This is one of the best restaurants in Dallas.
Great place for a date night or for friends gathering. Food was so tasty and we had a birthday party here in the back with privacy curtain. They helped us to get our cake ready and lit the candle for our birthday girl. We loved the salad dishes, the lobster dish and the steak. The servers were so nice.
We shared the bib salad with cold crab. It was fabulous and it’s a meal in itself! My meal was a pecan crusted fish and it was could feed two people. The dessert was a a normal size slice. It’s a little heavier than most Keylime pies and not as limey tasting, but still delicious. If you want to impress a girl, this is the place to take her.
Hands down to The Mercury! From Appetizers, Salads, Entrees down to desserts are really great. It was my first time, I did great in choosing my food. Their food quality and taste is excellent. Presentation is perfect. I ordered Wedges of Iceberg Lettuce with goddess dressing, black cod for my entree and a slice of Coconut Cake that everyone shared and it was heavenly. My Bosses ordered something else. They shared it with me so I could have a taste knowing it was my first time, they were all tasting so awesome. Great serving portions. Excellent service!
Amazing dining experience with great flavor profiles on the dishes. The highlight for me was the Couscous Carbonara on the appetizer menu. The poached egg on top puts it over the top, beautifully rich dish. Bread service includes a wonderful smooth pate, so that is a huge bonus. Service is beyond attentive and the dining room is upscale. Highly recommended.
We celebrated a friend’s birthday. Positively the best experience. The valet greeted me with a smile and parked my car! The Greeters interacted with a personal and friendly attitude. My servers were very attentive! Offered great selections and asked for feedback on the meals. All our meals were picture perfect and most of all delicious. We’re already scheduling a return visit.Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Our dinner at The Mercury in Dallas was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and seated in the Wine Room—a beautifully designed space that exudes elegance while maintaining a cozy, inviting feel. The atmosphere had that classic old-school steakhouse charm, but everything was impeccably maintained and upscale. Our server, Taner, was the epitome of what high-end service should be. He was knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely invested in making our evening memorable. The entire staff was attentive without being overbearing, ensuring we had everything we needed at the perfect time. Now, onto the food—where do I even begin? As soon as we sat down, the bread service arrived, and it was excellent. We started with a few mocktails, which were refreshing and well-balanced. On Taner’s recommendation, we ordered the jumbo lump crab dip, and it was phenomenal—creamy, rich, and packed with sweet, tender crab meat, topped with crispy, buttery bread crumbs. We also had the yellowtail sashimi with ponzu sauce and jalapeño, which was incredibly fresh, slightly spicy, and perfectly balanced in flavor. For our entrées, we went with the filet mignon and the ribeye, both cooked to absolute perfection. To accompany them, we ordered the pomme frites, which were crisp and buttery, as well as the gnocchi with mushrooms, another standout recommendation from Taner that did not disappoint. To finish, we indulged in the 12-layer coconut cake, which was beyond incredible. The cake was moist and delicate, layered with the perfect amount of sweetness and complemented by a salted caramel drizzle and fresh fruit. It was one of those desserts you remember long after the meal is over. Every aspect of our experience was flawless—from the outstanding service to the impeccable food and well-maintained ambiance. The Mercury delivers a truly top-tier dining experience, and it’s clear that they take pride in every detail. We will absolutely be back and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an exceptional meal in Dallas.
I highly recommend mercury especially for a date night. I recently took my girlfriend here for her birthday she really liked it. She had the PAN SEARED DUCK BREAST & DUCK CONFIT and loved it!🔥🔥 I had the ribeye steak with a potato puree with a pepper corn sauce 🔥 I highly recommend this place and we will definitely be returning Good drinks, romantic atmosphere!
First of Valet service is there if you need it, but there's enough parking to forgo valet. The Mercury is a really upbeat spot for dinner, the dress is casual and relax. There is a main dinning room which is a little bit more loud if you care about noise. We chose the quieter dinning room further in the back, our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable. The drinks are refreshing if you want or strong deciding on your tolerance. The appitizers were great and the dinner menu was also great. It's a touch pricey but it's worth it.
So good!!! Service was amazing, food was amazing! Filet was so good!! Expensive but I went in knowing that! Puréed Potatoes are to die for! Brussels Sprouts could use a little seasoning, but we’re cooked well!! If I’m in Dallas again, I’ll definitely be going here again! Tomato and Mozzarella salad…..if I were to be on death row, I’d request that as my last meal, seriously the most tasty thing I’ve ever put in my mouth!!!!!!!
OK so this is my sixth or seventh time here at The Mercury… This restaurant is absolutely amazing! Every time I have gone to this restaurant the service has been amazing and the food has been outstanding! There’s only one time I’ve been here where the service was disappointing however the amazing food kind of overshadowed that our server was not that great. Anyway the overall service at The Mercury is amazing. If you have not been to The Mercury located at the corner of Preston and Forest Lane in Dallas you definitely need to go there. This is a definite recommendation. The lemon drop martini… Priceless. The surf and turf sushi with the wagyu beef on top… Outstanding!!!! The pictures that I have posted with this review… The lemon drop martini… The salmon… The shrimp cocktail… The pork chop… The strawberry shortcake birthday dessert because this was a birthday celebration. Oh and not to mention they do have a sushi bar on the other side of the restaurant. The atmosphere… Perfect!!
Went for dinner and for the most part food was really good. Special shoutout to the steak Diane that had an incredible sauce. Make sure to pair it with potato puree - it has a great taste and texture. The New York strip was perfectly salted and the tuna tartare was flavorful. The French fries were a highlight of this restaurant too. Giving it four stars as it’s annoying to go to a restaurant and not being able to see prices on the menu for drinks. It makes it seem like a ripoff. The kitchen also closed at 9pm even though the restaurant didn’t close at 10pm and our waiter rushed us to get our order in at 8:45pm (1 HOUR AND 15 MIN BEFORE CLOSING). Service was good!
I have to say, I was somewhat underwhelmed. The service here is fantastic and really shined, however the food just seemed somewhat.. safe? The food was good, but really nothing special considering the price point. Nothing unique or memorable really. We tried the tartare, duck, lobster, filet, etc.. and I have to say none of those dishes out-shined other restaurants in DFW at the same price point. Again - huge props to the service and the atmosphere, but the food is overhyped in my opinion.
I've been struggling to figure out what to give The Mercury for a rating. On the one hand the food was great: I started with the beet salad and couscous, both were very delicious. I ended with the black cod and cheesecake egg rolls. The cod was fine but considering this was the most recommended dish from the waitstaff I expected more. The egg rolls didn't do it for me. Something about the consistency was just weird, I'm not sure if I'd say they were bad but for me it wasn't enjoyable. On the other hand the service was not great: It started out decent, a manager (Mark I think) sat me outside who I mistook for my waiter, I asked him about the menu. He was quite nice, but I obviously never saw him again after the first encounter. My waiter wasn't rude but he definitely had a vibe that told me he wasn't thrilled to be taking my order. He took my initial order and really only came back to take a plate away. Which on a busy night I assume he had more tables but this is a Wednesday with maybe 10 total people inside. I then got another waiter who brought me the cod. He was actually super nice, but unfortunately he wasn't very present. After I ate my cod I sat 30 minutes, I timed it, with no one showing up. At this point I almost just left without paying but I had come this far I needed to at least try a dessert. I was recommended the egg rolls which as I stated I'm not a fan, not upset about this, just stating a fact. I feel bad because I saw the professionalism that everyone else was getting, even by the valet, and yet I felt like not tipping as high as I normally would. Nothing against the waiters or the food but my experience was not worth the price I paid. This is coming from someone who eats literally everything. I'd consider coming back in the future but I'm not making it a priority.
