Had such a great experience here at Outback Steakhouse in Daly City! The food was delicious, came out hot, and was cooked perfectly. What really made our visit special though was our server, Harly. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed the entire time. He had such a positive attitude and gave amazing recommendations. Definitely would come back again!

Had dinner on a gift card so it was ok. Blooming onion is pretty to look at and good for 4 bites. After which, you’re better to quit while ahead, it’s extremely greasy. However what is surprisingly impressive is their filet steak, apparently seasoned with 17 different spices, as proudly shown on their signage. We ordered medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. Super tender. A bit of A1 gave it extra love. Would order again! However, AVOID the snow crab. It was bone dry and nothing could revive it. Lastly, they unfortunately do not offer happy hour for some reason. Missed opportunity. —- Update 11/3/23: Took a chance and ordered the 9oz filet thru door dash pickup given our great experience with it while dining at the bar. We pulled into the clearly stated drive thru pickup area to get our order and hauled it home in 5 minutes. The steak was PERFECTLY COOKED TO MEDIUM RARE. I repeat, PERFECTLY COOKED TO MEDIUM RARE. So for anyone considering having a steak at Outback, make no mistake, the filet is a home run. You will not be disappointed. We've had steaks from every steakhouse you can name, high end to low end, and Outback does an amazing job. Not too bland, not too salty, not over or under done. Just a perfectly cooked and seasoned tender steak. Even on DoorDash. Keep up the great work, Outback! Amazing.

Came in for a quick drink and stayed for a good time. Orion, my bartender, had great recommendations for drinks. I had the castaway cocktail and it was perfectly balanced. He was very attentive and makes you feel like the most important person in the room. Managers, Yenny and Carter stopped by and were very friendly as well. Seeing them support the staff showed me why the rest of the staff were so positive and seemed proud of the work they do. Highly recommend this spot!

We love coming here for the food. Recently, Tara, was our server and blew us away. We usually only order a couple of entrees but she recommended we also purchase the three course promotion. Because of her we got a lot of bang for our buck! For under $20 more, my wife added our favorite appetizer, two extra sides, and shared a cheesecake at the end! She planned an excellent meal, service was fast and the other employees were great to us too.

This review is for the recent customer service I received. Yesterday I had a order/delivery issue and Outback helped me resolve the problem. Carter, who I believe is a manager, was so kind and helpful. Thanks again Carter! Having said that, Outback is one of my favorite places to eat! The Kingsland Pasta is my current obsession. I have it delivered, and and the whole meal is ALWAYS cooked to perfection and travels well. I warm it just a bit and the steak and chicken remains tender, and pasta is delicious. I highly recommend.

We did a takeout order in person at the Daly City Outback Steakhouse tonight. The young lady whose name is Charlie is relatively new to the store she was quite Pleasant and friendly. We attempted to use a gift card my daughter had purchased for her grandfather and for some reason it card was not going through. The General manager took over and apparently the card had some defect he had never encountered. We had the purchase receipt which of course was beneficial. After several attempts to get the gift card to work, coupled with evidence we did have a card purchased, without questions he took care of the problem in house. His professionalism was A plus in my book, in a day and age where customer service is grossly lacking in society. The way he handled the situation was a throwback to Better Days. I give the store five stars for this reason and the food was good of course. Outback Corporation has a winner in both the general manager and Charlie the hostess or waitress I'm not sure her title.

José was 10/10 for amazing service and overall professionalism. He explained everything well and the food was great. I got my steak medium and rare and it was perfectly cooked. Overall ambiance was amazing. Would recommend going again and asking for Jose as a server.

Well it's been over 15 years since I last ate here coming back to this spot brought back memories. They were right on time with our food and seating we only waited 15 minutes. The food was really good all the pictures on their website is spot on.

I’ve been a few times and have never been disappointed. I mostly get burgers but have gotten their steaks a couple times and my expectations were blown out of the water, especially considering I was never a steak kind of guy. I never felt service was unreasonably long, and the restaurant was clean. I will continue to go. Love this place.

I just finished my lunch at the outback steakhouse and I really have to say our server Ariana did an amazing job extremely cheerful, positive and really set a good example for myself and my friends dining experience. I'll gladly recommend others to come and visit.

If you crave a blooming onion, this is one of the only remaining Outback locations in the Bay Area. Steaks are dry aged and surprising juicy and good.

This is a popular Australian-themed restaurant that has friendly service, an extensive menu, abundant seating, and a comfortable atmosphere! There is also a full bar with several flat screen tvs to watch sports. We tried the classic prime rib steak and au jus, which came in a generous portion, was cooked perfectly medium, was full of flavor, and so tender that it practically melts in your mouth! The lightly sea salt crusted baked potato and seasoned rice went nicely with this entrée. $35.99. The new Bloomin' fried chicken sandwich and Aussie fries were also delicious! The fried chicken was perfectly seasoned and crispy and went well with the spicy Bloomin' sauce (I suggest ordering extra sauce on the side)! $15.99. The complimentary dark honey wheat bread is soft and slightly sweet and delicious with butter. This Outback Steakhouse has great service and delicious food, and it's always a pleasure to dine here!

Unexpected dinner for Mother's Day. It was busy but the wait wasn't too long. Our waiter was quick and attentive. We started with drinks and the food followed very timely. Steak for my daughter and son. I got the shrimp with rice and broccoli... healthy portions. There were no complaints at my table.

Went to outback today for a late lunch, and luckily there was no wait. Tony was our waiter and he was polite, friendly, and attentive. Even when I had to ask him to switch something for me, and at the end when I had to ask for a few extra sauces he was sweet about it, not bothered at all. Tony was seriously the nicest waiter I’ve had in awhile, thanks Tony!

Milo was an excellent host. Came 45 minutes before closing because I just wanted a steak after a rough day, and he still seated me with a smile on his face. Always checked on me and went above and beyond. Would eat here again, and thanks again Milo if you see this!

I love coming to get dinner with my friends at Ourback. I love the steaks and in my opinion they are top tier. Their drinks are also really good. This is our favorite Date Night restaurant. My husband and I come here every Friday because it’s so good. Our favorite server Tara goes above and beyond! Our server Milo is amazing and we definitely need more servers like him with such an awesome personality and he definitely has great customer service skills for sure! Only one thing i ordered I didn't really like which I wouldn't order the fettuccine pasta by itself... it tasted bland but it's ok because I took it home and added my own touch to it and took it for lunch the next day. Great Steakhouse with many options. Server took a little longer than we have liked to have our food orders taken. Once he did though, he did check up on us a couple of time to make sure our food we to our liking.

Food was good, atmosphere wasn't that great, and service wasn't very attentive. But overall had a good time.

Had the 8 oz. prime rib on Mother's Day. It was bigger than I expected. Normally, I don't like eating steak at home, but the prime rib was really good. You'll get full pretty fast with the free warm bread. Expect about $20+ per dish.

I was away on the other side of the country, and was looking for somewhere familiar with no surprises to have dinner at. The Outback fit the bill, perfectly. Food and portions were very good.

I think Outback is my favorite place to have a good steak and potatoes. Servers are always nice and welcoming and the food is delicious every time.

It seems the portions have gotten smaller, but the quality of the food was good.

Food was great, everything was delicious. My only mild complaint was that our waiter did not clarify on an item being a side or a full entree salad and just assumed it to be a side. He seemed a bit frazzled after, but no harm as everything was out at the same time for everyone to be eating together instead of one person without food.

UPDATE I come to Outback for celebrating anniversaries. it was Tuesday evening around 6PM. we didn't need to wait a single minute. a server came to our table quite fair enough. the server was nice and decent. deserves 🌟 I ordered seared ahi for appetizer. tasty and just right position. sause, creamy ginger soy sauce tasted great with ahi, deserves 🌟 main dish I ordered was sirloin steak with backed potato and grilled asparagus. steak was tender and juicy at same time. tasty and simply yummy. deserves 🌟🌟 I had a bad experience last time I went there last time which kept me away from this Outback but this time made up something for me. I definitely come back for any occasion. first of all, I do love outback. second, it was Sunday evening so I expected it would be busy but surprisingly was not. well, I should say the house was full. a couple of big groups. so, I really pay attentions to clock how long every single one takes time to get our table. seated, literally less than 1 min. someone came to take our order 15 mins. first drink came 7 mins. my partner got his drink 4 mins. his soup came 2 mins. my ahi appetizer is out, noticed 2 mins (at this point, 30 mins left) heard the server's excuse 2 mins (he really explained why he wasn't noticed it's out got 15 mins) my appetizer came 6 mins. (at this point, I was sooo-what-eveeeer mood. even I thought I would stop clocking but I continued) food came 6 mins. goooosh! how long they need the time to serve a table? I got towering beer-battered onion ring filet. it was really good. juicy. very good. I didn't like the sauce they put tho. and it was cold 4 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟. service is waaay too slow. 1 🌟. well, it was got an anniversary dinner. I should avoid there, potentially-maybe-busy or I should say I know the service there is really slow each time I go there but tonight was extremely slow. deserve 1.5 🌟 but no half star here so give you 2 🌟 🌟 my partner said "they renovated whole inside but they should get rid of all servers instead." indeed, honey!

Interesting grill restaurant. Large selection of dishes. Often a full landing in the hall. Minus - the whole grill was peppery. Plus - possible to pay online by code, which is incredibly convenient.

As an Australian I love the delightfully unauthentic "Aussie" cuisine and drinks at this place. Food is good, particularly the bloomin' onion. The hilariously names Wallaby Darn cocktail is surprisingly delicious too. They were disappointingly out of Fosters when we were here, which is a shame, because it was the first time many of us had ever seen it on a menu ;)

Went there on the 27th for lunch. Had a medium temp NY strip. It was delicious and you can taste that it was definitely aged. Not sure if dry or wet, but it was aged. A bit funky, in a good way. Baked potato was mediocre and the Mac and cheese was pretty good. Overall, a well enjoyed meal and would recommend to others.

Herbal tea option would be nice. Steak, ribs, Bloomin onion, bread, brownie sundae, sweet potato were all delicious. Toowoomba salmon was a little too fishy; shrimp and Creole sauce with the salmon was tasty. Easy parking, prompt seating, efficient, friendly, and attentive service.

Not bad not bad. I can't speak for much of the menu because I get the same thing every time, but what I can say is the service and cooks are fairly consistent. My go to is the seared Prime Rib with the baked potato soup and Bloomin' Petals. My kid goes with the Joey Sirloin with fries. Can't say I've had a bad dish here to date. Keep it up guys!

I had the toowoomba salmon- delicous but recommend the sauce on the side. He had the steak and lobster- grilled lobster which was cooked to perfection. Also tried their new drinks: the peach perfect and the blueberry lavender lemonade - definitely recommend the lemonade.

I've been to this location several times and each time the service was great. I ordered the Spicy Meatloaf, Bloomin Onion, and also their special shark week drink which had vodka/blue raspberry. No complaints except for the meatloaf being a bit overcooked, it had a crunch. The flavor in each dish was tasty, no complaints there! The meatloaf did have a spice to it, considering it had a load of pepper and sauce on top. Would recommended!

Decent place and really packed. You can wait at the bar or eat there. Easy parking. Needed to wait about 30 mins of a Friday evening. Sirloin and prime rib had great flavor and cooked to our asking. The sweet potato was good with the toppings on the side. Coconut shrimp was cooked well and had a good/interesting orange-horseradish dipping sauce. I didn’t care for their signature onion bloom which was a bit greasy for me. Mac and cheese was a bit too cheesy for me. The chocolate thunder down under was good except for the overly artificial whipped cream on top. I was a sucker for a toy with a drink and going against all negative thoughts about the ingredients, regretfully tried but did not finish the croc-tail.

It came with blue cheese dressing which wasn't too bad.The mac and cheese balls were very cheesy and came with a side of dressing which didn't compliment the food. The coconut shrimp were good size shrimp covered in shredded coconut which I thought was a little too much. But the shrimp and batter was good. The blooming onion was good and tasty and the sauce complimented the onions. Overall, the food was good.

I love going to eat here specifically for Tara. She is an incredible server and never have I enjoyed being served by anyone else. Food unfortunately was sub par, but management did give us a break so that was ok. Could have done without some of the other exocentric waitstaff but will come back again to see Tara. She is like poetry in motion!

It's an Outback, pretty much the same as every one. The food is okay. My ceasar salad was disappointing, bland and with wilted lettuce. I had the sirloin steak, which was okay - well cooked but underseasoned and a bit stringy. The "aussie fries" were uninspired. Our server was very friendly, but one of our orders was wrong, though quickly fixed. The prices are reasonable, the decor is a bit bland. It's better than many chains, but it's still a chain.

I’m really surprised with how our visit went. As soon as we entered the restaurant there was no one at the hostess counter. When she walked up there was no smile, no welcome in, nothing. After we were seated she walked by and I smiled at her expecting maybe a smile back and nothing. She just frowned. I had high hopes for our food. We ordered the steak and new smothered chicken. The steak was great! The chicken was terrible. I asked if they could remake it which they did and the second peice was way plumper and softer and really good. We told them at the beginning of our order that it was our sons birthday and they just handed us our check. My son spoke up and said I think you forgot about my birthday. He turned 10 today. He had a major brain surgery and doesn’t really understand most of the time what or why but was genuine and kind when he spoke up. The waitress was understanding and brought him out an ice cream but she really did forget and that was really disappointing. The picture is of our first piece of chicken and then the remake.

The only one around the area. Parking is easy. The shop is little run-out. The bloomin onion are over fried, can't finish it. Bread are good. Foods are ok. Service friendly.

They have good food and always get the order right but sometimes depending on the waiter or waitress it’s either good or bad service. But my review for the food would be 4 stars but the service would only be 2 starts. I always love going there for a quick bite tho👌🏼

The service is fast. Your main entree is there before you are done with your salad. But the food is bland. Yes the meat is cooked at the right temperature but there is no flavor.

Food is not bad, services are great. However, be aware that they calculate the tips with the amount that is TAX INCLUDED. DO NOT ACCEPT THEIR TIPS SUGGESTION, markdown the pre tax amount and use your phone to calculate the tips.

Tried this for the first time. Nice variety menu with plenty of meat, side, and drink options. Enjoyed bloomin' onion, fries, ribs, pasta, and steak/chicken. Nothing spectacular though for the price paid. Never saw out waiter again after taking out order and messing up the bill at the end. Hard to get drink refills, etc. without flagging down other staff members.

The customer service was the only thing great about this place. The coconut shrimps were very small. The onion blossom was overly salty. The grilled chicken breast had too much pepper, was dry and rubbery. The portion sizes were 50% smaller than that of Texas Roadhouse. Since Outback and Texas are similarly priced, you get more bang for your buck at Texas. The bathroom floor looked clean but the floor had some sort of sticky substance that made my shoes stick. Maybe it was purposely put there to made it anti-slip. The bathroom had a bad smell even though it appeared cleaned. I have no plans on returning.

I was with my friend trying to get a window seat while I saw a lot of empty spots, they put us in a small table with no window while 3-5 empty tables near the window, later they switched us to a window seat, Food was ok, steak has too much fat, building was too old, parking lot all cracked and need maintenance, $120 with chicken bites and two beer not so bad.

If the best thing I can say about a restaurant is the free bread it provides before the meal, which itself isn't even produced in the restaurant but is manufactured in its factory, that says it all. Yes, I don't expect to taste the best steaks at Outback. But at least we shouldn't be served barely a grade above cafeteria food. Heck, without the bread, it very well may be frozen dinner or cafeteria food quality. As a "steakhouse", no matter where your roots are, a medium rare is a medium rare. And when the prime rib comes out medium-well done for a medium rare, I've lost all faith in the kitchen. The prime rib itself may have been decent meat, but definitely overcooked with unnecessary spices. The salad uses ingredients that must be weeks old. The pasta is grainy and feels like chewing on paper. Shrimp is elastic but not in a good way. Amidst all of this, the rice pilaf was edible with at least some type of flavor, even if it felt like warmed up frozen food. Now the atmosphere. The restaurant smells of wet rags as you enter. It's mild but absolutely dreadful. And the server was never around, and superficial when he was interacting. Oh, and the food came out way slow. 30+ mins wait after the salad. Again, understand it was a busy night but you just can't serve luke warm food. Won't be returning. Most likely ever.

I don't think we'll be going back to this place again!! It had been so long since we last visited Outback Steakhouse!! I don't even know what to say—everything we ordered was way too salty and tasteless!! I remember it being really good in the past, so I wonder if I've changed, or if something else is going on? Even the pasta was so bad that I couldn't finish it and left most of it. The prices weren't even cheap compared to other restaurants, so if you're coming here, it's probably better to go to the original Joe at westlake
