What an absolute gem. We sat outside on the terrace on a sunny Saturday lunchtime, Spanish music playing in the background and immediately felt transported to Spain. We opted for the tapas which was wonderful. The sangria was also wonderful too. Glad I stumbled upon this lovely restaurant and am looking forward to returning and tasting more of the lovely dishes on their menu.
Today we came for breakfast and we were totally satisfied with everything, especially the food. The food is delicious and highly recommended, nothing is very sweet but not very salty either, so I could say that it is perfectly to taste or well, at least in my personal opinion. The staff is very nice and the decorations are very pretty and feel very Spanish. In my personal opinion I really recommend it.
Great experience from start to end. Booking a table was simple through their website and third party provider. Very attentive staff. Food was amazing. We had the patatas bravas, whitebait deep fried, paella, beetroot and goats cheese tart. The latter’s flavours and textures were on another level. Would highly recommend. What a gem in Dartford.
I am a Chilean citizen and I reside in Houston, Texas, USA. This place is absolutely amazing! It’s a gem in London! Spanish cuisine in the middle of London! From the decoration, the taste of the food, the drink presentation, to the vibe! Completely mesmerized! I highly recommend this gem!
Came here on a Sunday night, was very quiet. We booked a table for two but wouldn't have needed to. The staff were all very friendly and happy to help. The place was nicely lit, it was a pleasant atmosphere to eat in. The food was amazing! Everything we had tasted delicious and was all of a good portion size. Will definitely be going back with a bigger party.
Absolute gem of a restaurant!! Excellent food and service, really felt like we were back in Spain 🇪🇸 after a our meal we went to the back of the restaurant where there was a beautiful oasis of cozy chairs and tables beautiful!!! Can't recommend highly enough!!! Can't wait to go back!!
By far one of the best restaurants in Kent and certainly the best one in Dartford and the surrounding areas. Lorenzo and the team are so helpful and attentive. Food is always so delicious and tasty, well presented and good portion sizes too. Great wine and drinks selection and the new terrace area is a lovely addition. Definitely our favourite place to eat ❤️
Wonderful and authentic food, generous portions and served quickly too. I forgot my handbag there; thanks to the proprietor who searched for and found it, and rang me, so pleased for me. We'll be back!
Such a lovely restaurant!! The terrace outside is amazing, Lorenzo is so friendly and kind. Highly reccommend.
Really tasty food and a lovely restaurant. Would definitely recommend- nicest place to eat in Dartford.
Marvellous food, great service. No complaints.
Lovely atmosphere, great cocktails and absolutely loved the goats cheese and beetroot tart!
Lovely food, service fast and polite, cosy atmosphere. Will 100% be back
I felt very welcomed from the moment I arrived at Cadiz, the staff welcomed us to a table and were quick to make sure we were accommodated with a drink whilst we decided what we would eat. Once we decided which food we wanted, the staff recommended a wine, which was perfect. The food was a delicious and light, and we enjoyed many items from the menu. We got lost with time at Cadiz and spent many hours there with food and drinks, and the staff were always ready to assist with anything we needed! I would recommend for any families, couples, or people who want to try authentic Spanish food. I am already excited to go again!
Had breakfast today, @ Cadiz, they never fail to amaze us! Great variety of food, friendly environment and great customer service! 5 stars to the chef creating those amazing menus, huge and so tasty, combining British with Spanish specific dishes! I’ll come back at Cadiz every time I want to treat myself and family! Keep up the goid work guys!
Had a lovely meal at this restaurant last weekend. I had the seafood paella which was amazing. Great atmosphere and huge garden!
Had a loverly evening on Friday having dinner at our favourite tapas restaurant. The service and food was amazing as it always is, we have been coming here for over 3 years and it never disappoints. The owner of the restaurant is always there making sure everyone has the most amazing evening. Last night he had a lady celebrating her daughters birthday which the lady was so rude to all of the staff and showed no respect for other customers. Lorenzo being the great owner he is could see that it was making other guests uncomfortable the way the lady was speaking to staff as well as being horrible to her daughter and asked them to leave politely which allowed everyone to carry on having an amazing night! If only Spain could match the tapas served at Cádiz.
Amazing place and has very good prices. We visit this place several times and were never disappointed. Always feel like I am on a holiday in Spain. Everything tastes delicious, and the staff are welcoming and polite. I 100% recommend it. Thank you all for last evening. Looking forward to our next visit Blondie Hair & Beauty Team 🤗
This was a very pleasant surprise. We wanted to visit for a while but kept postponing, and when we stepped in we found: great food, awesome atmosphere, very welcoming staff. I think the owner is the one who served us, he's a great guy and had great recommendations. Naturally he knew the menu inside out. The music, the decor, really get the theme right.
Here’s your 5-star review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Such a lovely place! I really enjoyed being at Cadiz tonight. I've been to many Spanish restaurants, but none have left a lasting impression like this one. The welcoming atmosphere, the excellent service from the staff, and the amazing food and cocktails were all absolutely terrific. This restaurant has quickly become my favorite, and I can’t wait to return!
Went last night as a group of 7 ladies. We had a lovely time. The food was really nice. And the Alexander cocktail was to die for so much so I have asked for their recipe. We were not rushed and was in there for about 4 hours as we were chatting and drinking after our meal. Lorenzo and his team are very welcoming.
Went with the Mrs, daughter & partner, the place looked lovely, Spanish vibe. Tapas dishes are big and tasty. We had chicken skewers, prawns and potatoes as well as white sangria. All delicious. The bill was £200 but £75 of that was for "baby Guinness" cocktails, which I hadn't had before but we're really nice, hence we had lots more! Would recommend, as service and food were really good. Go give them a try!
Lovely place, Food is great, staff is hardworking, but I think they need to add some heads atleast keeping in mind the busy days... Do try the Veg Pasta, Garlic mushrooms and the Sea Bass with potatoes and olive oil..... They do charge for the olives and the bread that they serve at the beginning.
Great place for casual dining. Warm friendly service. Great food
Really nice refurb and outside area is lovely. We went late on a saturday and the restaurant was buzzing. What a shame the food didn't match up to expectations. Very overpriced for what it was. Patatas Bravas were drizzled in mayonnaise which I've never heard of or seen before and were soggy not crispy or spicy at all. The chorizo was flamed but was quite tough and the calamari was out of the freezer and pretty poor quality. We never received our anchovies in oil. The bill came to over £60 with wine and 3 dishes The bread and the wine were lovely but I'm sorry to say we won't be back.
We have been here twice before and couldn’t fault it hence returning again. Unfortunately this time was very disappointing, the service staff were lovely as always however none of the steaks or lamb available which limited the small menu. We had flamed chorizo as a starter which was ok then chicken and chorizo paella which consisted of a couple of chunks of chorizo and 5 of the tiniest chicken drumsticks I’ve ever seen, the rice was clumped together very stodgy and tasteless it was very disappointing. Sticky toffee pudding and ice cream was delicious but I doubt made on site. Later in the evening there was a party in the other side of the restaurant the music was very loud and the staff locked the front door where we were seated and disappeared into the party area. They occasionally popped in but it’s not the same as having them there all the time, we would have ordered Baileys etc but decided to go somewhere else in the the end rather than wait for staff to turn up. The door to the party kept opening with party goers coming in through the restaurant to use the toilet and every time the door opened the music pounded even louder into the restaurant making it difficult to hear each other speaking and was very annoying. We won’t be returning again, all I can say to the restaurant owners is; don’t neglect the business that has done you so well in the past for a Saturday night party. If you keep doing that your quality of food and service will drop further and you will lose regular customers which are your bread and butter. Also the toilets are disgusting dirty floors and walls, toilet paper all over the floor and generally dirty they’re clearly not regularly checked, such a shame to see such a lovely restaurant go down hill so quickly.
Poor service made this a very disappointing first experience of Cadiz restaurant. Despite there being only four covers at any time while we were there, the service was unexplainably slow. The service staff/manager lacked any attentiveness and friendliness and an adjacent table also complained to us of the same thing having waited an age to get their drinks. Before even having time to look at the menu, we were offered bread and olives to which we said yes but found out afterwards come in at a price of £9!!! The olives arrived, but we didn’t see the bread for 15-20 minutes despite reminding the staff. We you even suggested cancelling it to replace it with something else from the menu, but was told it was already in the oven! However, a couple arrived after us short after they sat down and long before us. Throughout the evening we had to approach the waiter/manager to chase our orders while he sat at his laptop at the bar at the bar. From a food perspective, the food was generally okay and as others have mentioned the pork cheeks are very good and I enjoyed the patatas con huevos y jamon. The jamon croquetas, which are usually a favourite tapas of mine, however were disappointingly stodgy and dry/pasty. If the service had been better, we may have considered returning as we’re always looking for opportunities to support local restaurants. But based on this experience it’s unlikely I would recommend returning to Cadiz which is a real shame really as it doesn’t take much to be more attentive to your customers.
I have no ideea from where this restaurant has 4.5 stars. Is bad. Very bad. The mussels we ordered they were clearly expired because was a strong bad smell. We had to remove them from the table. We ordered just tapas but 90 percent of food was bad. The worst part is the service. The guy serving us,I don’t know his name but he said that is from Chile was so not in his mood. He never said sorry about the mussels. And how he was behaving with customers is definitely not professional. Is like you don’t want us to be there. Next time tell your clients that you don’t want them. It’s easier. Not coming back. Never. So disappointed in people like you. No respect for the customers at all.
We just been here on mother’s day and was ok but 2 days ago we been again and was a bad experience. The mussels we ordered were clearly expired because was a strong bad smell so we asked the guy to take them back and he just did without asking us what’s happened or if we like something else. I personally ordered chorizo al ferno and I vomit when we arrived at home. All evening he has a bad vibe and bad energy with us. They don’t deserve 4.5 stars at all. Plus he rushed to clean our table but the restaurant was empty. Definitely not recommended and definitely we not going back there!
Honestly, we have been to Cadiz before and loved it. But now it’s really let me down. We ordered the scallops and mussels and they both smelt awful. 6 hours later we were both telling quite ill. I’m gutted because I initially loved this restaurant. :(
Realy dissatisfied!! On walking in, there was no ambience at all, no nice welcoming aromas from the kitchen. Ordered our food which came out cold!! Had to be sent back to be reheated. One of the dishes we didn't get, but was given something else instead, which we didn't like, so sent that back. There was only one other table of 2 in the restaurant, so no reason for the mistakes!! Was asked if we would like olives and bread while we waited for a tapas.. but we only recieved the bread and alioi, but was still charged for the olives. Shall not be coming back again!!!
Overall this was a really dissapointing experience which it didn't need to be. Food was fine, we had some nice and some very average dishes. The meat and cheese platter was good and the morcilla was excellent. A few of the other dishes were fairly poor quality and not to the standard we're used to. The young team of staff were running around doing a great job, unfortunately the man (who I'm guessing was the owner) was constantly shouting at them, we could regularly hear raised voices coming from the kitchen, this really spoilt the atmosphere as I don't want to see servers being treated like this. We had a beautiful bottle of albarino (£33) but unfortunately we couldn't have a second bottle as they'd ran out, we had a bottle of the Sauvingion Blanc instead (on the menu for £26) When the bill came we'd been charged for a dish we'd never had and for two bottles of albarino, when I pointed out that the second bottle was cheaper I was rudely told they were the same price and the old lady serving us (possibly the other owner?) refused to charge the correct price. I definitely won't be returning, the behaviour of the owners spoilt what should have been a fantastic experience. Update : dropped one more star due to their appalling response, horrible people.
Visited this restaurant tonight. The chef and waiter was shouting at each other after we ordered our food. The food was cold and tasteless. Very disappointed will not be returning that's for sure.
Food was very overcooked and it was really hard to eat as of our party of 6 such a disappointment but it was the reaction of the owner that shocked us! It was totally disgusting he actually shouted at us for complaining our food wasn’t acceptable. We will never come back to be abused for daring to say our food was inedible. On reading your response you are the most disgusting ignorant individual I’ve ever come across! Your pathetic suggestion about using the food bank is totally derogatory towards people needing to use this. As for your suggestion that we licked our plates is hilarious your chicken and seafood paella was the worst I’ve ever tasted, the chicken was just large bones with one overcooked wing presented on the top and most of the mussel were just empty shells anyway. I’m adding a photo so hopefully everyone can see how awful it actually was. As for your comment about if want free food just ask I would rather starve than eat your horrible food and your response is wonderful so any diners can judge what sort of individual you actually are. Not once did we suggest that we wanted our food for free it was constructive criticism to forward onto your chef but you literally threw a tantrum and verbally abused us. Absolutely shameful and shocking behaviour from a grown adult and by the way one of our party speaks fluent Spanish so we understand everything that you were saying.
Staff were very friendly, we was the only people in there with it being Easter Sunday so wasn’t any atmosphere, but the gentleman and lady that greeted us and served were polite and friendly and made a good cocktail, however I was served an alcohol free cider which I did not ask for and fortunately we spotted this and returned it. Unfortunately the food was very poor, we found 3 hairs within our food on separate dishes. The potatoes bravas tasted as if they were microwave potatoes and just had a squirt of mayonnaise and tomato sauce on the potatoes. Cod fritters were pretty horrendous, barely any cod within them and not even made in the restaurant but bought in. Wouldn’t recommend. Girlfriend has never had tapas before and this being her first experience she never wants it again unfortunately.
Food was disgusting. Paella was rice and colorant. The mussels were very smelly. They didn't smell fresh at all. When I told the staff, I was told that's because they're coming from Scotland... Boquerones were mehhh, croquetas were not too bad. Total disappointment for £80 for 2 people.
AVOID! SHOCKING! Our anticipation was high when we booked a reservation for our daughter's 6th birthday at this restaurant, but unfortunately, our experience was nothing short of a disaster. After enduring a lengthy wait of an hour and a half, we were informed that the dishes we had ordered were unavailable. To make matters worse, the restaurant owner's behavior was shockingly unprofessional. They slammed items on our table and treated their staff with a complete lack of respect. When we dared to raise concerns about our food, we were met with nothing but hostility. Incredibly, we were rudely told to leave and subjected to a tirade of screaming by the owner. Two agonizing hours after arriving at the restaurant we found ourselves back on the street, hungry and with a sobbing 6-year-old, on what was supposed to be a joyous occasion. It was an absolutely disgraceful display of incompetence, rudeness, and severe anger management issues on the part of the owner. In a stunning twist, the owner proceeded to berate the entire restaurant, screaming if anyone else was to complain to leave as well. This level of behaviour is beyond belief and unacceptable. I implore you to avoid this establishment at all costs. My daughter still says that was the worst day of her life.
We would never ever go back to that restaurant !! I've never had such a bad experience in any restaurants. The owner was taking the plates away even though we were still eating so we said "we are still eating". Then he kept asking if we have done. He asked us if we are having a dessert, we didn't want dessert but we were still drinking, but he got a bill straight away and told us we need to go. I said to him "we still have drinks in our glasses", he said "we need tables" even though there are so many empty tables. I was with my friend, just two of us just talking not even loud. I don't know why he wanted get rid of us. Maybe we didn't order enough for him? But about £60 for two for that kind of restaurant is not too small amounts for dinner I think. A couple next to our table were also shocked with his attitude to us. He absolutely spoiled our girls night out.
