I am always a fan of new boba places joining the neighborhood, and Gong Cha is no exception. This location is definitely the most spacious boba place in the Davis/Porter area, making it a nice place to hang out and talk after a meal. They still have the cute boba-themed balloons hanging from the ceiling and plenty of seating. I've been to this location twice and will definitely be coming back in the future. The menu is not that extensive but what we've had has been solid. Long live the boba takeover!

I love this place! It's the perfect spot to come in, get a little drink, and get work done! There are a lot of tables so theres always somewhere to sit and do work. The baristas are always kind and helpful, and I've never had a drink that was made poorly. Overall great spot!

Everyone is always kind, the staff is great about getting customers to try new yummy drinks and the environment is peaceful. My grand children love it!!!!

My coworker recommended this place. I absolutely love the passion fruit green tea! I go there very often to get it. It’s refreshing and delicious! Charlotte was the barista the first time I went. She was very helpful, patient and informative. I had many questions and she was so good to me! Charlotte is so kind and always smiling every time I come in. I highly recommend this place! Great Gong Cha location with lots of space to chill out or do some work. I love their seasonal offerings as well as the decor. Pick up your usual favorite drink or try something new. I've never seen it too busy here, but honestly I usually go during off peak times. Staff is friendly and works quick to get your drinks out in a timely manner. Obviously I'll be back soon as my regular Gong Cha run.

Jacky’s knowledge about the various bubble tea options was outstanding. His recommendations were spot on, providing insight into the best combinations to try. His passion for bubble tea was infectious, and he was an absolute joy to chat with. He offered friendly service, making sure we were taken care of throughout our visit. Furthermore, Jacky’s attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction were highly commendable. He went above and beyond to ensure that our orders were perfectly made to our liking. The tea was expertly brewed, the bubbles were soft and chewy, and the flavors were balanced perfectly, thanks to his diligence. In a world where true customer service seems to be dwindling, it’s employees like Jacky that help establishments like Gong Cha stand out from the crowd. I cannot thank him enough for enhancing our experience, and I highly recommend this shop to any bubble tea enthusiasts, or anyone looking for a fun, flavorful drink. They just opened and I feel like it’s a good competition to other boba brands laces in Davis. They were really mass producing the teas during their grand opening and they still tasted great! Super creamy and not too sweet. The inside is cute and the staff had a Greg at attitude. Looking forward to trying more flavors!

Gong Cha in Davis Square is usually a favorite of mine, but this time, they really dropped the ball. I ordered a Taro Milk Tea with pearls for delivery, and when it arrived—no pearls. Honestly, that’s half the fun of the drink! The pearls are what make bubble tea special, adding that chewy texture to balance the creamy, sweet taro flavor. Without them, it just felt incomplete. What made it worse was that this was a delivery order. If I were in the store, it would’ve been an easy fix, but when it’s delivered, you’re kind of stuck. I had already paid for the drink, plus the delivery fee and tip, so it’s frustrating when the order isn’t right. You expect everything to be double-checked before it goes out, especially since you don’t have the chance to fix it on the spot. Don’t get me wrong—Gong Cha’s drinks are usually great, and I’ve never had a problem before. But this experience made me think twice. I didn’t want to go through the hassle of calling the store, explaining the issue, and figuring out if I could even get a replacement or refund. It just left me feeling a little let down. I’ll probably order from them again because I love their drinks, but I really hope they’re more careful next time. Delivery orders especially need to be spot-on, because fixing mistakes isn’t easy when the customer’s at home.
