Cafe Weekend is me and my friends' go-to spot to grab a nice drink, a dessert after dinner, and chit chat! I cannot explain ENOUGH how amazing the service is here!!! The employees are so kind and attentive, the service is fast, and I've never left Cafe Weekend having not liked whatever I ordered. Everything I've gotten off the menu is great, but if you're looking for one of the best coffees of your LIFE, order the weekend latte!! The most creamy, delectable latte I've ever had. I have tried to remake it at home but nothing compares to the one at Cafe Weekend, the 1 hour drive for that drink alone is worth it. Beautiful decor, tasteful background music, and an amazing atmosphere that makes you get lost in conversation and the food in front of you. Cafe Weekend is one of those places that gives an old, cozy diner feel, while still embracing modernity in their decor and menu selections. Truly one of my favorites in Boston 💙
This place is so good! Food was delicious. I had the egg and cheese breakfast sandwich; literally egg, cheese on sourdough. Great on it's own; with hot sauce, chefs kiss. I also had the Nutella banana French toast. Four slabs of French toast covered in bananas and generous drizzle of Nutella. Definitely enough to share if your having trouble deciding what to get. For coffee I got the Weekend Latte with oat milk. It's Dalgona style coffee on top of milk and ice. Wow it was good. The staff was very friendly and kind. The place fills up really fast so plan accordingly. Prices can't be beat. Highly recommend!
Best part of my trip to Boston! We went 2 of the three days we were there and I miss it. The food was great and the matcha was even better! The only downside was how busy it was since the store is small and there’s little to no space during the weekends. But the waiters were great, they tried to make sure to get to every table and were so kind!
This place is adorable and the menu is creative and extensive. They have a bunch of interesting drinks and creative brunch foods. I really enjoy the thick cut bacon. It's definitely popular in the area, so it's usually a bit crowded. The staff is kind and helpful, but it might take some time to get your food, since they are busy, so plan to be there for a little while.
Truly a sweet experience for our first time, management was on it, staff was hustling, food was hot and prices were great. Weekend latte only comes iced but was worth it! Croffle was great to share and the omlette was almost too cheesy. I got extra crispy home fries and regret it because it was overly crispy. That was on me, but my friend got them as is and they were perfect. Very affordable and tasty eggs Benedict, really liked the side salad that came with it. The space is really nice and it was very busy on Friday morning which was impressive. Will be coming back!
What a great place! Clean as a whistle, wonderful atmosphere with great natural lighting and large open ceiling space. Menu was extensive including all day breakfast. I ordered a coffee but seeing the “sick tea mix” with lemon and honey I got that as well. I wasn’t sick but the tea was sweet heaven. I had the traditional French toast with scrambled eggs and beef (delicious bacon ). The menu describes fresh fruit and whipped cream but the plated dish was beautiful, the fruit (really fresh) included blueberries, strawberries, mango, kiwi, bananas,ba cherry on top of the dollop of fresh whipped cream next to French toast. My son had an omelet and the seasoned potatoes that came with were super tasty. Noru, our server was really nice. A gentleman checked in with us a few minutes after our meals came. He was smiling, friendly and clearly cared about the restaurant and customers. His name was Modu and he turned out to be the manager. He obviously liked and took great pride in that role. Try it, you will like it.
Weekend is the kind of breakfast spot that instantly puts you in a good mood—and then backs it up with seriously good food. The menu is a thoughtful, creative mix of classic American diner comfort and other ethnic-inspired specialties. It’s broad and varied without being overwhelming, and every dish feels intentional. You’ll find standout items like shakshuka, soufflé pancakes, a hash brown breakfast sandwich, egg-in-a-hole, and unique drinks like a matcha einspänner that you don’t see everywhere. The food itself is absolutely delicious—diner-style at heart, but elevated with flavor, texture, and creativity. Everything is cooked in an open kitchen right in front of you, which adds to the experience and the sense of care behind each plate. Service deserves its own shoutout. It’s fast, attentive, and genuinely warm. The staff clearly works as a team—waiters are friendly, efficient, and tuned in without hovering. You feel welcomed, not rushed. Weekend nails what so many breakfast places aim for but miss: great vibes, unique food, and a relaxed, happy energy that makes you want to linger. Whether you’re craving comfort, something a little different, or just a really good start to your day—this place delivers. Because honestly? After eating here, you’ll agree: every day should be a weekend. ☕🥞✨
I am blown away by how lovely this place is. I’ve been here twice now and I’ll be back probably every weekend after. From the outside it looks unassuming, but once you walk inside you’ll realize how down-to-earth and sincere this place is! Very authentic coffee selection (some you’d not see in America but popular in Korea!), and really quality food. A great place for solo dining, studying, or coming with friends. The staffs always have a smile on their face, and it’s filled with loyal customers who make the entire restaurant feel like a family. So glad to have found this gem!
A weekend everyday? Why not? Anyways, the food/drinks and services here were excellent! Shatshuka had slices of pickled peppers which made the dish a little spicy, which made it a unique twist. Pancakes were fluffy/pillowy/soft, but the blueberries were perfectly prepared, popping morsals that were not overwhelmingly sugary. Scruffles were crunchy on the outside yet warm and chewy on the inside. Twowahow (spell?) sandwich was drenched in the very light creamy sauce, and the mushrooms and shrimps in between the buns were delicious. I enjoyed slicing and munching on the sandwich like it was a steak but without the fatty meat. Weekend latte was unique, creamy Arabica coffee on top of milk (oat was my choice). Taro latte (hot, lowest sweet) was refreshing and different. Matcha latte is probably the most normal or ordinary, but it’s pretty good, too. The servers were pretty happy and friendly, despite being early in the morning. Small place with limited space and no restroom as well as a little wait on the weekend, but overall it’s worth the wait and a little inconvenience. Thanks for the nice breakfast!
Cafe Weekend – A Charming Brunch Spot Near Boston University Cafe Weekend is a delightful brunch destination just steps away from the Boston University campus, offering both convenience and charm. The café features an impressive selection of specialty coffees and beverages, complemented by a well-curated menu of breakfast and brunch classics. During our visit, we enjoyed the Eggs Benedict and the French Toast—both executed with precision and presented beautifully. The Eggs Benedict were perfectly balanced, with rich hollandaise sauce and delicately poached eggs, while the French Toast impressed with its golden exterior and soft, custard-like center. Each dish showcased careful preparation and attention to detail. Whether you are a student looking for a cozy study break or simply seeking a satisfying brunch experience, Cafe Weekend delivers consistently delicious fare in a welcoming setting. Highly recommended for anyone in the area.
Solid experience! Will be a bit of a wait on the weekend, roughly 10–20 people waiting in line when we arrived. Lots of different varieties of American food. I ordered the Avocado Toast, and it tasted really great. The seating might feel a bit tight since there’s limited space, but it does give you a feel that you are enjoying your weekend.
The Cafe Weekend really makes you feel the WEEKEND. During my break, I needed some energy to recharge, and this place was perfect. It’s cute, cozy, and welcoming. All the servers are friendly and attentive. The food gave me that true “weekend” feeling like calm, peaceful, and fulfilling. This isn’t just a place that serves dishes. It’s a place that lifts your mood and vigor. Highly recommended if you need a break during the weekdays, and of course, on weekends too.
We hosted a bridal shower at their place, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff was attentive, professional, and made sure everything ran smoothly. The food was absolutely delicious—beautifully presented and full of flavor. The ambiance was perfect for our celebration, and our guests were truly impressed. Highly recommend for any special event!
This place never misses I have loved every item I have ever had from here! It’s truly delicious. I recommend the Einspänner coffee and their Nutella croffle topped with ice cream is a dream. Pictured is our breakfast this morning which was two bacon egg and cheese on two different types of breads I got a croissant and my husband got the same with brioche bread and added avocado. All together our breakfast was $44 dollars before tip. ❤️
The place has a really cozy atmosphere and felt warm and welcoming. Our server was so, so nice! I accidentally got pasta sauce on my clothes & he rushed to help me. 😭 The pasta dishes were superb - the pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was really flavorful. The pancakes were super fluffy and light and the croffle was crispy and decadent! The taro latte was also amazing. It had a strong taro flavor and was absolutely delightful. We really enjoyed dining here & will definitely come back!
Wow! This place is worth the hype 100 percent. The pancakes were thick and perfectly cooked. The steak omelette was tender and the home fries were crisp but not too dry. I really enjoyed my meal and it was the perfect way to start the weekend! The coffee was also pretty good although I liked the matcha better. The eggs Benedict was to die for though, it really shined above the rest. Safe to say it’s called weekend cafe for a reason, u got to visit!
I think this is not just another brunch restaurant! The food is good, but we were forgotten of our food. We knew because the party sitting next to us, came way after us, received the same thing we ordered at the same time as us! The experience would have been better if we didn’t wait more than 30 minutes for the food. I gotta admit the arugula and whatever dressing they use was good! It came with the Toowoomba Panini, which was really good itself! But again, the wait! Funny part is we sit at the bar and right in front of the servers, and cooks, and the cashier! I wish they had recognized that they forgot us and apologized. I would go again, and the service better be better next time.
Came to Cafe Weekend for brunch. *Tip* Get there early because this is a small cozy spot. Our server was very nice. The Pink Lemonade was very tasty! I ordered "Drop The Eggs" which comes with scrambled eggs, bacon, American cheese, sweet & spicy sauce on a brioche bun with a side of home fries. The sandwich was delicious; the sweet & spicy sauce brings it to another level! The home fries were overcooked so I swapped it out for a side of fries (not pictured) and the fries were so good! I will be back!
Finally tried Cafe Weekend! It was overall a good experience, service is great as diners needs are anticipated. Food is good, as well as drinks! They may have to upgrade on tables and chairs, for the hour I was there 2 people had their stools fall when they were leaving. Otherwise, all is good! Will be back to try their croffle! Also side of fries LOVE IT! Mine may be a tad too salty but nothing that ketchup cannot mend.
I like the atmosphere. It’s very American-diner while still having that Korean aspect. The servers were very sweet and smiled which is rare in Boston. However the pancakes were not “soufflé pancakes”. They were just thicker regular pancakes. Not sure if it was left out too long before they ran it to me (it was served lukewarm with my hot sandwich) but either way these are in no way “fluffy pancakes”. I’m not sure why they’re advertised as such. The einspanner was good. The sandwich was fine. I’d come back for the coffee and even the pancakes again, but tamper my expectations.
