This place is so cute with lovely paintings on the wall. The pasta portions are huge — the sauce is super flavourful and the shrimp is perfectly succulent. Honestly, the quality you get for such a reasonable price is amazing.
My wife, 6-year-old daughter, and myself ate here on Valentine’s Day. My wife got the Pappardelle Bolognese, which was extremely creamy and flavorful. My daughter got the kids Alfredo and she was in love with it. I got the Alfredo and added prawns. The Alfredo sauce was deliciously cheesy and is always my go-to pasta dish. Alcoholic beverages were delicious and modestly priced. They brought out a dough ball for my daughter to play with while we ate our appetizer and waited for our entrees. She even got a complimentary ice cream bar, which really made her night. I’d highly recommend Paesanos if you’re in the mood for Italian, but definitely make a reservation because it’s an extremely popular spot!
This place never disappoints. My family eats here monthly. Always great staff, amazing food (so happy they toned down the garlic), and a nice atmosphere. I love the newer menu changes and specials as well.
I rarely give 5 star reviews, but for what this restaurant offers and represents (quick stop/bite), it is top-notch! Nestled in a quaint shopping area in downtown Davis, this lovely little restaurant is just minutes off of I-80. They have their own bakery that prepares the dough for the pizza and bakes the breads for their sandwiches. Simply amazing! Crispy on the outside, and soft and chewy on the inside! I am sure that if the pizza is made with the same crust it will be amazing! We enjoyed their grilled chicken sandwich. So, if you're a hungry traveler looking for a tasty bite to eat, stop in! You will not be disappointed.
Have only been to this location once for a celebration dinner with a larger group of people. The restaurant was able to get us all seated and our server was very attentive! The restaurant is clean, nicely decorated, and there is seating inside and outsides. The only issue with this location is the parking which the restaurant has no control over. If you plan to come during a busier time you may have to walk a bit but that’s the nature of a downtown area. I knew what to expect food wise since I’ve been to the location in Sacramento. The food was good and filling. I had gotten the spaghetti carbonara and the sauce was delicious, the pasta had a firmness to it more than other restaurants, and the bread was garlicky and crispy. They had a pasta special that had lemons and capers that was also delicious. I would come back if in the area.
Family was visiting over Thanksgiving weekend and we decided to have a nice dinner before they left back home. My husband called on a Monday night to make reservations but the lady on the phone said we could just walk in. This restaurant was so nice and the setting was very relaxing. I loved how they provided dough for my two kids to keep busy. The kids loved it so much they continued to play with the dough at home. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. There was so many things we liked, the Greek pizza, their ranch was definitely homemade, my girls ate so much and they are picky eaters. They ordered the meatballs. The staff was so nice to offer to split one order for my two girls in two plates. All the food was all consumed even the leftovers the following day. I think the best dish we shared was their special , Bolognese. My son’s gf ordered a Parmesan pasta that looked super appetizing, I’m looking forward to ordering that next time. My husband and I will definitely be back. We just moved here and this is one of the best restaurant we’ve been to in Davis so far. It was perfect for our last dinner with our guest.
the servers that helped at our table were friendly and checked on us multiple times throughout our stay. the food was pretty good. the calamari came out fast but was pretty plain on its own. the batter was crumbly and had a bit of a greasy aftertaste. both sauces were good - usually I prefer the mayo/tartar sauces but the red sauce was really good with it. the baked pasta was nice but in the future I'd go without the chicken add-on. it just made the dish harder to mix and it was already a lot of food. I also didn't realize it came with garlic bread which I was really happy about. I can't speak on the spaghetti since it wasn't my dish but my partner seemed to like it. I'd try paesanos again but maybe go for something new next time. :)
It is a nice place to have dinner and hang out with folks. Food was ok. Pizza was a bit tough on the edges, which is weird for that style of pizza but nice toppings. I ordered an old fashioned, which was made with an ice chips, that was melting super fast (reason to use a single block of ice; large block rather than ice chips). I had to remove them. But the drink was good overall. Tiramissu was good.
We frequently go to the Paesano’s in Sacramento, but decided to try the location in Davis since it’s a bit closer to home. The atmosphere was fine. It wasn’t anything special or to write home about. The service was great and we never waited too long for anything. Our server was kind enough to go get answers for a couple of our questions. Overall, the food was good too! Our only complaint was with the gluten free pizza. We’ve ordered this multiple times at the Sacramento location and it’s fantastic. I’m not sure what’s different this location, but it was not good. The crust was so thin and hard that it almost wasn’t edible. It tasted extremely bland and was the consistency/grittiness of cornmeal or uncooked southern grits. The crust wasn’t burnt and didn’t appear overcooked. I’m not sure why it was so gross, but it definitely was not the same as what we’ve gotten in the past in Sacramento nor was it “the best GF pizza I’ve ever had,” as many reviews claim it to be.
This used to be the old Fuzios back in my day. Now an Italian restaurant that can be busy on a Friday night with larger parties. Both indoor and outdoor seating, full bar and lively! The perfect Italian spot, me and my college BFF met up for dinner and we sat outside so we didn’t have to wait an hour, it was a little cold and no heaters. We started with a large Caesar salad and added chicken (so good!), bocce balls (nice and doughy and chewy with cheese and oil), we probably could have shared one pasta together but I was carb loading for a half marathon. We got the Spaghetti Carbonara and Fettucini Arrostiti (already comes with chicken) which our server recommended as a popular one. We were stuffed after our meal with pasta leftovers that are still good the next day! There’s street parking surrounding but it gets busy in Davis. We were also able to split our check.
Me and my family have dined here multiple times. Food is always good (albeit a little expensive). I recommend the fried ravioli appetizer. Tables are clean, Bathrooms are clean, and staff is friendly. Tiramisu is good but once (on my birthday asking for dessert) I was told they do not serve that even though I knew they did and have had it multiple times before and instead was served a gelato ice cream which was not that good because it was multiple flavors mixed into one small bowl. Otherwise service is fairly good and all the staff is happy to help with whatever you may need. I recommend making a reservation unless you don’t mind waiting sometimes up to 30 mins. They have seating inside and outside so you can wait.
We ordered the NZ Sav Blanc and got really good pours. I had the polenta fries which is my favorite. Also had the pork fusilli and it was very good. Rich but smoky with a creaminess to it. In the past I have visited the Elk Grove location and it's equally great. Very good and friendly service. This is a place you will get cravings to go to 🤗
Just ok. Mediocre service. Waiter didn’t ask how our dinner was. Didn’t refill over water. Drink selection was decent: a few good IPAs on tap. Atmosphere was casual. Spaghetti & Meatballs: Marinara sauce had a weird taste to it; almost like burnt paprika and canned tomatoes; Meatballs were good though. Garlic bread was soaked in oil and had no garlic to speak of. Fettuccine Arrostiti: My wife really enjoyed this dish. So one star there Polenta fries: Probably the favorite thing I ate. Good crisp on the outside and the dipping sauces complement it well. Caesar salad: Super basic. Dressing had no anchovy flavor. Instead of freshly shaved Parmesan, they use powdered. Really meh. I’ll stick with a pizza next time, IF I return.
Fairly short on flavor across the board. It was very busy and the waitress did a great job considering but weak drink & very weak on the flavor of food. The way this place was rated I had much higher expectations but it fell short. The bread that came with the dish simply tasted like oil and margarine. My drink was soso (old fashioned) and also lacked flavor and skill. The pomodoro is the dish I got (pretty simple dish) and it was soaked in oil with minimal flavors, you couldn’t even taste the tomato and the angel Hair pasta was barely cooked (definitely hadn’t reached el dente). The calamari was decent- definitely the best part but I wouldn’t eat here again. I’m a former bartender and restaurant owner so my standards in general tend to be a bit higher. If you’re good with generalized grub this is sufficient, I would not classify this as a good example of Italian food.
